The good - staff was friendly, bed was reasonably comfortable, and the bar was pretty fun. The bad - smell of smoke and weed throughout, towels are super thin and tiny, the pool was DISGUSTING, “breakfast” was frozen donuts from Walmart and white bread to toast and not nearly enough for all guests. In my sister’s room the bathroom sink was a small trickle. Overall would NOT stay again or recommend.

Out of 4 or 5 ice machines only 1 was working. Went to get some snacks not a single one of the 3 vending machines worked. Glad we were only staying 1 night.

Front desk staff was a bit rude. For the age of the place it was clean. Please change the bedding our comforter had holes from cig burns. The having to pay an extra 100.00 for using cash made no sense to me. The rooms were pretty run down already but wanted an extra 100.00 deposit. The bar was nice, re done from the last time I had visited and the bartender was nice. The entire hallway smelled heavily of weed.

The room was filthy, you can tell they didn’t change the bedspread or sheets, there was hair all over pillowcases and sheets and blankets and old food stains on them, I had to ask for more, and then there was splattered food all over walls, no trash can, smelled like weed and we had CHILDREN with us, and there were roaches and the ac was broke and the pool was green and full of algae. It was awful! I wanted a refund so badly. According to site I thought it was a nice hotel and it was NOTHING like it showed. I would’ve went somewhere else if I knew

The lady on the front was super nice, the lobby smelled like someone has been smoking 24/7. The hotel needs a lot of work is very dirty and needs a lot maintenance. Did not even want to drink coffee in our room. Will not stay again.

I usually don't like to add bad reviews...this is no Carlton or Ritz. For a 1 night stay it wasn't awful but really wasn't clean. Gum left from previous tentant in the shower, no water pressure, no hot water, roaches and bugs around the bathroom, bug carcasses in room, fridge wasn't cleaned from previous tenants, trash can was gross inside, hair dryer had maybe food substance all around the plug and cord, liner from under chair full of stains, sheets not completely clean, the breakfast was a loaf of bread, store bought mini cinnamon rolls and some non popular cereal. Staff was nice though but the rooms could use at least a very basic cleaning

You get what you pay for. There was a great smell of cigarette throughout the entire building. There was a small cockroach in the room. Breakfast was doughnuts from Walmart and cereal with no milk.

The hotel was ok for just the few hours we needed somewhere to stay. It needs lots of upgrades and better cleaning. There was a heavy smell of cigarette smoke in the halls. Location was good but lots there is lots of construction making it difficult to find entrance of parking lot.

Not much to like except convenience to Galveston. But even that was somewhat difficult with all the I45 construction. The property was very unkept from peeling dirty paint outside to trash and debris in entry and hallways. The floor in our room was so yucky we put paper napkins on all the splotches we definitely didn’t want to step in. Only saving grace was bed linens seemed clean! It was a pre cruise overnighter so we were in and out as soon as possible. Will not be returning

Convenient right off of I45. Close to a Walmart and wonderful Mexican restaurant close by called Barcenas Mexican Grill. Beds were fine...rooms clean. Good wifi and cold fridge. TV and wifi were goid as well. Only down side is musty smelling when you 1st walk in.

The check-in went good, though the lobby was pretty dated and warm, like the air conditioning wasn't working. There is no elevator in the annex building and no air conditioning in the hallway either. The room was average, but the air conditioner did work good. Very noisy neighbors slamming doors off and on all through the night. Other neighbors had their dogs barking off and on. I'm glad my power came back on at my apartment so I could get out of that place.

The room was a great size at a great price. The only problems were non smoking room smelled strongly of cigarettes, we didn't have enough bath towels for everyone to take a shower unless we wanted to dry off with a hand towel, and the blackout curtains weren't all the way hung on the curtain rod so it wasn't dark in the rooms with the lights off. There was also fist holes in the doors. All in all it was pretty good for the price and a good location. The only real problem was the cigarette smell. We bought air freshener hoping to cover it. Didn't work.

Front desk told us it was a 50$ deposit cash . We took out 59 cash then we went back to pay it and they said it was 100$ deposit cash only . Asked to speak to manager and they said no .

Do not stay in RM 211. Door does not lock and every time we had to leave I’m they had to come recode it. Then our keys never worked when getting back in. Very frustrating!

I stayed at this hotel after Hurricane Beryl because they were one of the only hotels that would allow my two dogs: a 20-pound Sheltie and a 55-pound small Collie. The staff was truly kind, attentive, well-trained, and genuinely concerned for the comfort of all of the guests. I experienced several times where the staff and manager went out of their way to show so many of us (that were experiencing damage at our homes) that we could count on being safe and comfortable at their hotel. Although the grounds were not as clean as they should have been, this is the only negative note I can make. Likely, however, the staff was surely prioritizing clean rooms, clean hallways, the lobby area, and assuring all the trash cans everywhere were emptied often. This was a very good thing! Definitely, i was very glad this hotel had a room for me and my furbabies!!

The cops we called on us because my husband was taking pictures of how dirty and nasty the place was. We were escorted off the property. The front desk were very unprofessional and rude. I would never go back to this place ever in life and will be calling corporate office on them.

Nice Staff and we only needed a place to sleep and shower. This was a convenient place for just that and did not have to spend a ton of money. Everything worked in our room. The fridge, AC, coffee maker, microwave and hair dryer all worked great. Plenty of towels. No issues what so ever. If you are on a budget, this is a great place. 8 minutes from Galveston Island.

One of the guests with me was a certified Health inspector. Sheets appeared dirty and had evidence of bedbugs, but no actual bedbugs was found. Room appeared clean otherwise. "Free" breakfast in the morning was very limited, offering bread for toast and pre-made waffes with toaster, peanut butter, jelly, bananas, and coffee. not anything else.
