Lobby look beautiful . Rooms look nice. Bathroom floor dirty. Water stop working in bathroom. Very noisy. Pool water lots of debris and bugs. Elevators stopped working had to walk down 5 flights of steps to check out.

We stayed here for a weekend, our room was poorly maintained. There was built up grime and rust in the shower and landlord special fixes everywhere… the pool water was very cloudy and definitely needed to be changed. There was garbage everywhere and the pool area was managed poorly. Skip this hotel and spend the extra few $ to go somewhere else.

Location was decent but hotel is rough and needs updating. Shower didn’t drain, not very clean rooms, all gym equipment was not working, halls smell like pot, elevator is slow and jolts, missing safe from our room, chair in the room has faux leather peeling, mold in bathroom.

Pluses: Nice bar, nice servers, good valet service, good location. Minuses: Cleanliness and condition. The bathtub had hair in it, there were stains around the base of the toilet. The chair was badly stained. The elevator walls/doors were in need of cleaning. Next time we'll stay somewhere else that is hopefully cleaner.

We got into our room, there were foot prints on one bed, the bathroom was gross! Tub was dirty, toilet was dirty! Room smelled of over use of cleaning agents! The whole hotel smelled like cleaning agents to the point u knew it was over use!… the view was great, vallet was nice, front desk was great!

Good location but room was very dirty. I put my baby on the floor to crawl and her legs were black! Also the room had a smoke/musty smell that permitted all of our clothes. Turned in the shower and hair started coming out of the drain. This was the definition of you get what you pay for.

There were stains on my bedding and the hallways were dirty. It felt more like a rundown motel then a downtown hotel. Chipping paint, random decor, and extremely distressed furnishings in my room. Even the tv didn't function well.

Horrible. Put the bags in the room and came back 2 hours later to lay down. Pulled the comforter back and there was hair in the bed. House keeping solution, pick the hair out. I made them bring new sheets. When the took off the old ones the mattress cover was stained yellow. Immediately checked out. They only “charged” us for one night but still billed me for two nights. Still waiting on my reimbursement.

Loved the property, valet was convenient, lobby was beautiful. Elevator, rooms, bathrooms and hallways can use some updating, very dated but clean. Bathrooms need to be regrouted. Such a convenient location. We stayed here twice. The cinnamon rolls in the cafe are to die for.

If you are planning to have restful night, you won't have here. The room has a split AC system that will wake you up every 20 min if you put temp at 70. I had to turn AC down to get some sleep. Room was ok. Staff was friendly.

I rarely write reviews for hotel stays, but here goes. I spent one night in this hotel because it was close to a concert. I was seeing that evening. As a whole, the hotel itself is clean and in a pretty decent location for the price offered on hotels.com. That said during my stay the AC unit in my room was insanely loud. Unfortunately I didn’t realize this until after hours, so I just had to deal with it. When I was checking out, I let reception know. I then sent an email to the hotel itself with a video, including the noise.It took another email to finally get a response. I asked that they make this right and that I travel through San Antonio quite often. The best they could do to make things right would be offering a 10% discount on my next stay. No thank you. They encouraged me to address further concerns with hotels.com.

We chose the Riverwalk Plaza, hoping to be right on the Riverwalk or at least have a view of the Riverwalk. We asked for a room with a view at check-in and we were given a room with a view of an old building… Very underwhelming and sad. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. There’s a really good coffee shop downstairs. Be warned about the metal frame beds. I had to travel home with a big bruise on my knee. Ouch!

While we enjoyed the proximity to the Riverwalk for the price of our stay, it seems there is quite a bit of deferred maintenance on the property. The walls were paper thin - you could hear everything in the hallway. The sink would explode water and air when you turned it on and spray all over, the bathtub ran constantly (a slow stream of water) and the tub diverter was broken, so only showers available, but water would still shoot out the tub spout as well. It all didn’t feel especially clean either. The artwork was hung really crooked on the wall and there were these odd black cups for decoration hung on the wall, but literally falling out of the wall. While the decoration isn’t the most important item to us, it does show a lack of care/maintenance in the property. The staff was sufficient at the front desk, but not overly friendly or accommodating. At one point, my husband wasn’t able to get on the elevator because multiple young staff members were in the elevator with a luggage cart hanging off the cart and messing around. Overall, it was a cheap stay, but we probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Very accessible to the River Walk. Despite "river view" being a small sliver of the river, still nice to have. Parking is pricey through the hotel but worth it to have the sense of security in a garage compared to an open lot with quick valet service. Spacious double queen room with a working mini fridge and coffee maker.

Had a group staying in multiple rooms this trip, rooms were not ready until close to 5pm. One room the front desk said was ready and when we arrived there was still trash and cleaning supplies. We were then told to leave while they completed the room. No other rooms in our reservations were ready either so we then had to wait again with no where to go. Service at the bar downstair was pretty awful. At one point we waited over 15 minutes after ordering for 2 drinks when there was only 3 other people in the entire bar area. Front desk staff was kind but did not seem like they really had any idea what was going on at any given time. Closet doors were broken in one room upon arrival as well.

The property requires maintenance and better service. The valet parking young man was very professional nice and helpful. The front desk was a bit rude and the room was not very clean. I consider some improvement in maintenance is needed. The toilet in our room is loose and the soap glass holder in the shower is also loose. Elevator dirty. One only had room cleaning 1 day and the only thing that was done was trash removal and towel replacement. I don't think we would consider staying here again. Thank you

Staff was very helpful and responsive to our wants. There was a small problem with the bathroom and we were given a new room without asking for it. I recommend the valet service for your car. Even when we needed our car at 4am they delivered it in 5 minutes. We were there for 3 nights and not one scratch on our rental car. The famous riverwalk is right out the side door. There are numerous restaurants along the river as well as the riverboat rides. The room was comfortable as was the bed.

Do not stay here! 1) severely understaffed, takes forever to get anything, and poor attitude overall. 2) restaurant gets our order wrong and takes 30 min to get an omelette ready (when we are the only table). 3) valet only, which is fine if they had more than one person working the valet and doesn’t take over 20min to get the car…

Stayed here as part of a long road trip. The hotel was a great location for the Riverwalk but parking was Valet only and an additional fee. The staff were friendly for sure. The beds were basic and on the harder side. We did feel secure in the location as just a mom and son so that was comforting. It was an OK stay.

Pricing and accessibility was great. A/C was not workinv properly and when mentioned a discount was offered and a fan was sent to the room after I had to mention it and request accommodation. The vending machine said it accepted 1 and 5 dollar bills but did not give chang so i had to go to front desk for change. The menu that is scanned for the Gavel that is given is out dated so many of the options were not available. Overall, they just need to do better with updates and communication!

Great Locations, easy to walk to Riverwalk. Fun lobby games to keep kids entertained in AC. Great breakfast restaurant on site, food was good and well priced. Only valet parking, no self park option but it is in/out privleges and can keep car in until 2pm. Older hotel with renovated rooms. Our bathroom was not well cleaned but rest of room seemed ok.
