The room was nice and I love having a balcony. The hotel is waterfront, very pretty. We used the outdoor pool which was very nice, no lifeguard so watch your children! The free breakfast was nice, great offerings.

We came for an off season visit primarily to the National Seashore. This charming, vintage property is close to the tiny downtown. It is a tiny bit worn. The pier is lovely. The gym is a limited and the jacuzzi is located in the same sunroom as the equipment. The water view is worth the few extra dollars.

Waterside Inn is a clean, comfortable hotel. Hot breakfasts are available everyday as a grab and go. There is a heated pool and hot tub to enjoy. The Inn is also very quiet. Would highly recommend.

We go to this hotel every year! It is VERY cost affordable compared to other hotels for the same quality. Room was clean, with bayside waterfront views. I love that they have a waterfront pool & hot tub and private dock to use! Staff is very friendly and seem genuinely passionate about their jobs. There is also a nice hot continental breakfast as well. We will be coming here next year again too!

This was our first stay at Waterside Inn while on the island. We will for sure stay here again. The inn is very very clean. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are good too and there were 4 per bed which is always super nice. The trolley stop out front makes it super convenient to get around the island. Easy and scenic walking distance to great restaurants and bars. Every room has a water view. Heated pool. We swam Friday night in October which was very fun. The hot tub room is nice too. We enjoyed it both nights and had it to ourselves and it has a great view.

Roomy and quiet. Pool was open til 1am! Easy wifi. EV charger just a short walk next door. Breakfast was convenient with to-go boxes and a lady making mini waffles fresh. Especially appreciated an extra sink being in with the toilet and shower-tub.

This was a pretty good experience. The room was very clean and it was modern beach themed with a very comfortable bed. It may be too soft for some, but it was good for me. There are excellent views of the waterfront from the balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful and they provide breakfast in the lobby. Guests will not be disappointed! I would definitely come back for another stay!

The staff were pleasant and attentive. Parking was easy and convenient. The beds were comfortable and clean. The carpet and sofa however appeared dirty and smelled very musty and moldy. We needed to wear shoes to walk on the carpet as it felt wet.

Have stayed here previously. Went back as love the view , although a tree was blocking some of the view from our room this trip. Rooms for the most part are clean. Floor in room was sticky, coffee pot had not been cleaned, and a wash cloth was hanging up stained with coffee. Breakfast was good, and area is quiet. Would stay again

The location of the hotel was great and the pool overlooking the bay was fantastic. However, I ended up leaving my trip early due to the lack of cleanliness in my room. There were ants all over the bathroom that were seemingly coming from the cracks in the vanity’s sink. The bathroom also had a very strong unpleasant odor. There were also a lot of flies that made sleeping challenging. It was very humid and my feet were black after walking on the floors. There’s a lot of potential for this hotel but unfortunately

No toilet paper in the bathroom; had to go to office to get some. Mold in the corners of the bathroom. Jacuzzi was dirty. Kids running around upstairs at 7:30 in the morning. It is an older hotel but that is no excuse for it to not be taken care of. Beautiful view of the bay though.

We enjoyed our stay at the Waterside. Great location, beautiful sunset, nice clean pool, friendly staff, nice little breakfast. Rooms partially updated. Needs new furniture (furniture had "sticky" tops). Need better cleaning in the bathroom shower (moldy) and a longer shower curtain so water does not leak onto the floor. One BAD thing.... there was dried blood on the bedspread. Obviously housekeeping did not change that one !!

We had difficulty with our 2nd floor double room. The sliding glass door didn't work properly and we got locked out on our balcony with our phones inside. We had to shout for help. A kind neighbor came to our aid. Our room door was not locked so he came through and let us out. After speaking with staff, they upgraded us to a nicer room on the 3rd floor with a working balcony door. It was a scary experience. We were thankful for the upgrade, but hope they will replace the door so it doesn't happen to someone else. Otherwise, it is a nice, clean hotel with nice views an amenities. We have stayed there several times.

Loved the hot tub. Wish the pillows were more comfortable. Hand soaps need to be replaced - they break apart into little pieces when opened. Breakfast options could have more variety.

Good place for a short stay. Clean, comfortable beds and nice view from the balcony. I did not give 5 stars because the choice of rooms is mis advertised; the only difference between the standard and de luxe is floor with the 3rd floor having a better view. No difference in room size, facilities or renovation.

Room was a nice size and the views were nice, but the balcony door and especially the mesh on the outer door could use some work. Overall, really nice location for a fair price. Nothing fancy, but definitely gets the job done.

We loved the Waterside Inn. The rooms were comfortable, quiet and spacious. The staff was friendly and answered all our questions about the area. Pets are not allowed, but they were very accommodating to our service dog. We will definitely stay here again.

Location was nice. Property was "no smoking" however people were vaping at pool, and on balconies on both sides of us. Didn't receive bed making or fresh towels, had to ask on the 3rd day if they could help, and rec'd an attitude.

Staff at front desk was very helpful and friendly. Nice room. Plenty of parking. Breakfast to go each morning. Older Motel. Only thing that I saw that may need attention were the ice machines. I got a bag of ice instead of ice out of the machines. Looked older and not well maintained. Other than that, stay was a good one.

I am uncomfortable with dogs swimming in the pool( even when the hotel do not allow pets in the premices) When we raised our concerns, we were retaliated against by the owner's daughter-in-law, who is also the dog's owner.

Ownership has a very rude attitude, they don’t really know how to handle complains, after I complained to the hotel Staff about one of the owners having her dogs swimming at the pool she came to me in a fighting attitude Instead of listening and understand her paying guests, because her dogs where swimming a the hotel pool she complained about us eating at the pool just to justify her actions, by the way no signs where posted anywhere in the pool area. Too bad that she don’t understand how to run a business.

We have stayed at the Waterside Inn in the past. Being a family owned business, the check-in was warm and inviting. Every request for additional room items was quickly filled. And, a small problem with a bathroom fixture was quickly and conveniently repaired. The sunset view from our room was greatly appreciated from our balcony. The location allows for easy walking distance to eateries and Amarin Coffee House. We will return.

Very friendly service and comfortable rooms. Every room has water view. Elevator available - we would walk down the stairs easily and use the convenience of the elevator to go up with luggage, etc. Private pier safe to use at all times. Walking distance to Ropewalk and Bill Prime restaurant and a bit longer but doable walk to all the other coffee/dessert/restaurants in Maddox Blvd.

It was such a lovely place right on Main Street. Nice pool. Staff was so friendly. Breakfast was great. I would definitely stay here again! It was clean and neat — TV has all the channels you need. Beautiful view from balcony. Perfect spot & price reasonable.

We stayed at the Waterside in for three nights (Tuesday-Friday) in late April. Check-in was easy, with friendly staff. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with a lovely view of the marsh and the harbor beyond. Our main complaint was their way of doing breakfast. There's no buffet; when you go to the lobby, you are offered two choices, usually waffles or a breakfast sandwich or eggs/sausage. They make it for you and serve it to you. But there's little else. My wife, who's diabetic and isn't fond of sausage could find little to eat, we actually got her an Egg McMuffin one morning. I assume this method is to control waste, but it did not suit us at all. When we were there, there were more restaurants open toward the end of the week; Tuesday night was pretty slim pickings in late April.

Loved the quiet location away from the main center but close enough to go to shopping and restaurants. Bed was very comfortable. The rose garden is a pretty surprise. Enjoyed having to go meals on the dock outdoor tables, the pool was refreshing. Didn't think much of Breakfast, as it was not serve-yourself, someone stood and took your order and it was awkward standing around waiting with other customers for waffles, scrambled eggs and sausage while the tiny waiting area held only one medium table and only tiny table. Coffee was limited and ran out quickly.

We stayed in a Deluxe double queen room with a fantastic waterside view! The sheets and towels were soft and fluffy and there were plenty of warm blankets! We loved how quiet the area was which is part of the idea behind the deluxe rooms. Our least favorite thing is the breakfast area. First, it is too small. Second, the choices are quite limited. When we had eggs which was only two days out of 6, they were so salty they were almost inedible. We weren't allowed to serve ourselves and it was served to us in a Styrofoam box! Very eco unfriendly!

The room was satisfactory, however, photos a little deceiving online re: balcony and view. Thought we would have a total sea view as indicated in room description but were put on the first floor where there were a lot of shrubbery intruding on the view. Not really worth $400 to stay one night. Basically a motel. Breakfast not good - powder eggs.
