Coming from someone that grew up extremely poor and homeless at times. I don’t have to have the best place to stay. As long as there is running water and no bed bugs I couldn’t care less what it looks like. Breakfast was great, staff was great, the pool was out of order, but we were told we could use the pool next door. The only issue we had was our room had a musty odor and the carpet in front of the air conditioner was wet. Again no big deal we were not there long enough for that to matter. We just needed a place to sleep and that’s what we got.

The hotel pool was “open” but it was disgusting. The hot tube was out of order. The concrete around the pool was busted. No filter running and the water was green. I found molded food behind the couch and under the bed. The room had a strange odor also. Overall very disappointed in this.

Several restaurants nearby, easy walking distance. Comfortable bed and bedding. Not as clean as I expected for Best Western. Requested the floor in room to be vacuumed. My feet got dirty walking on it barefoot. Patched wall in bathroom had mold. Requested toilet repair for high pitched noise after flushing. Spa, business center and juice machine out of order. Maid cleaned only before 10:00 AM. Otherwise fresh towels were left in a bag outside door. I would not stay here again.

It wasn’t super clean, the indoor pool was closed, the washer and dryer were broken. The saving grace was that the owner owed the holiday inn next door too so we used its facilities. (Pool and laundry room). Our room had a weird smell and the air didn’t work well. The holiday inn staff next door were much friendlier too.

The room was clean and the hotel staff friendly; however, the indoor pool was ice cold and did not look or smell chlorinated and the hot tub that was listed on the website as one of the amenities was gone. The hotel had a sign that the hot tub was not working....I guess not because it was gone. The doors leading outside the hotel from the pool area could not be accessed with the guest key, and the hotel could sure use some outdoor maintenance.

Physical facility is average. Pool is indoor but not heated. Staff were friendly. We were in a room on the end near to the interstate so there was some traffic noise. Good location for eating options.

My husband, children and I stayed here for a quick over night stay. As soon as we entered the room we were greeted with a horrible smell. Roughly 30 mins into our stay my son found a dead cockroach in the entertainment center. We put it in a cup and took it to the front desk where we were told “strange we don’t have cockroaches” we decided to take all of our belongings back to our vehicle for precaution and stay the night regardless as this was just for some quick sleep on our 22 hour drive. We noticed the carpet was stiff/sticky. Also that the garbage cans were dirty. They had fresh bags but the cans themselves. We took all of the bedding off and checked under the mattresses to make sure bedbugs weren’t going to be an issue. The cloth frame covers were stained like someone had peed on them. There was also an INSANE amount of gnats. Once it was time to lay down and go to bed we soon realized the beds were damp. The only good thing was how nice the lobby was and the variety at breakfast. Otherwise you couldn’t pay me enough to stay at this hotel ever again even for a quick stay.

Front desk lady who checked us in was good. We had to switch rooms bc there was a roach on the ceiling of our first room. Second room- ok, bed comfy, one light in the bathroom isn't work and neither did the fan. Pool was freezing. That's the reason I booked it. Was VERY disappointed about this

It was ok. The pool looked dirty. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned well. There was hair left on the walls in the shower. The beds was comfy, but overall cleanliness was not good. The halls smelt. Staff was very friendly but that was about the only thing the hotel had going for it.

As soon as we opened the door all you could smell was moldy musky smell almost left because it was bad but husband talked us in to just staying since it was just overnight. The carpet was filthy and I grabbed the remote to turn on the tv covered in peanut butter.Disgusting hotel!

The sink had a massive hole in it and dumped water all over the floor. They moved us into a different room and there was crumbs and used Q-tips on the floor. It didn’t look like they’d cleaned other than changing the sheets. The bathroom floor was also tacky. This is the first hotel I’ve stayed in where I felt the need to check the mattress to make sure there wasn’t signs of bedbugs before sitting down on it. The lady at the front desk was nice, that was the only good thing about the whole place.

Loved my experience nice room very clean everything was top notch the only thing I can say that was negative was people regularly stomping on the 3rd floor above us it wasn't as bad as some of the other places I've been the Internet is also very good but pro tip if it stops working just delete it off your device and reconnect it and don't miss out on the breakfast they are lenient though so if your a little late getting up it's ok I believe it's mostly family ran they understand very nice people will be staying again in the future

I called a few days before my reservation to request my families rooms be close together. They told me I had to call the same day of the reservation to do have that request. Upon checkin, our rooms were not close at all. I got into my room, and found the decorative trim on the bed was broken. The light started flickering and wouldn’t turn back on, despite plugging it into a new outlet. The ac would not turn off. I requested a new room and was moved with no problems. The new room was fine, nothing really wrong, but it could use some general maintenance. Breakfast was good, spent a lot of time in the breakfast lounge with family.

This hotel is one of those that will not let you control the thermostat. Your room temperature is what they want, not what you want, necessarily. There was a thermostat in the room and it would adjust down to 66 degrees, but the temperature would not adjust down. Whatever the preset temperature was, was all it would do. The numbers would change, but the temperature wouldn't. And it was too hot in the room for comfortable sleep. I slept in our car - it was actually more comfortable. We only stayed one night, so I didn't fuss, but I have crossed this hotel off my list. My wife and I will control the temperature that we are comfortable sleeping in, not some budget minded manager or owner.

Recently Stayed here once before, so chose to stay again. This time the facilities were awful and the service even worse. The assigned room had not been serviced, so we were relocated to another floor and room. As soon as we entered, the second room, we could smell cigarette smoke. As we were tired and didn't want to relocate a second time, we decided to chance it and hope to not get sick. Only used this location, because I had appointments at UAB, later in the day, but had to start with a doctor's appointment in Leeds. The next morning when I went to shower, there was absolutely no hot water. The water was freezing...icy icy water. The dial was broken, so I am pretty sure they had to know there was an issue, Had to get out quickly, because it was so cold and was concerned that I might fall. The final insult, was when we talked to the man at the reception desk, he just shrugged and said he couldn't do anything about it. NO concern at all about safety or comfort of guest ! My key card only worked now & then, after trying 7 or 8 times; each time I tried to get into my room. The desk clerk came up to my room to help me get the key card to work. He wiggled the hardware below where you put the car in the slot & said now try it. I did & it worked. He said it's because the hardware is just loose! The luggage carts do not turn properly, they are very difficult to manuver for a disabled person. The staff for the breakfast room gave me dirty looks because of my service dog being there with me. I'm handicapped & require a service dog. My dog is a small, female, chocolate lab. She is very well behaved & just lays by my feet. She doesn't beg or do anything to bother anyone. The toilet ran constantly. The bed was comfortable & the room was fairly clean. The housekeeping staff knocked on my door about 9:30am. I told them i wasn't packed yet & reminded them that checkout time wasn't until 11am.

I'm handicapped & require a service dog. My dog is a small, female, chocolate lab. She is very well behaved & just lays by my feet. She doesn't beg or do anything to bother anyone. The toilet ran constantly. The bed was comfortable & the room was fairly clean. The housekeeping staff knocked on my door about 9:30am. I told them i wasn't packed yet & reminded them that checkout time wasn't until 11am.

Bedding was dirty or stained not sure which one.. outlets were not put in the walls correctly luckly i didnt have small children with me. Reception desk staffed acted like you were a bother if you had to ask them something. Breakfast room dining staff was amazing expecially with my kids that was there. Didnt use the pool pretty sure too many chemicals and bleach was used

The stay overall was good. I just didn’t like being awakened at 8AM, by the housekeeper asking me if I was checking out or staying! When it clearly showed that I had a ONE night reservation. I can appreciate a staff that’s willing to work, but inconveniencing the guest while doing so, is very unprofessional in, my opinion. She knocked on the door like three times, before she got a response. We checked in late, so we were trying to sleep in as late as we could. My husband and I are truck drivers, so getting a chance to sleep in a hotel on a week day is a luxury, sometimes. So, you can only imagine my frustration, when someone is knocking on my door THREE hours before checkout, asking me, “Are you checking out, today?” I don’t know who came up with that system….BUT THEY DEFINITELY NEED TO RETHINK IT!!! Other than that, they stay was okay.

Older hotel. Good for an overnight stay while traveling home from the East coast to North East Texas. Dog friendly, which is a plus since we always travel with our little shih-tzu girl. Restaurants within walking distance, literally in the parking lot. Try the Mexican food place. It is great with very fair pricing. Area felt safe and is off the highway far enough that the traffic noise isn’t a problem.

My husband and I stayed here traveling from Orlando to Memphis. We were very happy with the accommodations. The bed and room were very comfortable and the hotel was right off the highway which was convenient. The front desk staff member was very friendly and knowledgeable .

Pretty typical Best Western - clean, comfortable, good value. Right off of I-20, plenty of dining choices within a mile. Perfect for our one night stop traveling from Jacksonville FL to Memphis TN.

Coming from someone that grew up extremely poor and homeless at times. I don’t have to have the best place to stay. As long as there is running water and no bed bugs I couldn’t care less what it looks like. Breakfast was great, staff was great, the pool was out of order, but we were told we could use the pool next door. The only issue we had was our room had a musty odor and the carpet in front of the air conditioner was wet. Again no big deal we were not there long enough for that to matter. We just needed a place to sleep and that’s what we got.

My feet got dirty walking on it barefoot. Patched wall in bathroom had mold. Requested toilet repair for high pitched noise after flushing. Spa, business center and juice machine out of order. Maid cleaned only before 10:00 AM. Otherwise fresh towels were left in a bag outside door. I would not stay here again.

This hotel is modern, clean, and in a convenient location. The beds were very comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and fresh, the cappuccinos were a nice surprise and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Shout out to breakfast room Hostess Brenda. She was awesome!

Check in was easy, it smelt clean, the room was nice, there was a table and chairs that didn't really fit in itm but that's ok. the pool area was kinda sketchy. The breakfast was ok in the morning. Standard fare.

It was an old hotel that needs updating. A closet doorknob was broken, bathroom was not deep cleaned, old dirty carpet on floors. Breakfast was very scant. It was ok for one night but definitely not worth the price. Can pay about the same for a much cleaner and nicer hotel in the area with a great breakfast.
