The property itself is in a great location. Everyroom has an ocean view. Staff is very friendly. Pool area and bar with acces to the beach. You will need to purchase chairs and umbrellas if you forget yours.No breakfast included but they do have a cafe in lobby for breakfast. Coffee is an extra fee not complimentary. Wifi is extra fee is not complimentary. Pool bar also has food and dri ks for purchase. Room was in definite need of upgrades and painting as well as the balconies.

We reserved an oceanfront room with balcony. The sliding door was screwed closed and sign on the door balcony condemned. In addition, the cafe bar served food until 7 and bar closed at 8pm. The cafe doesn’t open until 11 am and there is not a coffee station in the hotel. The pool was closed. I could have stayed in a motel for way cheaper given the amenities of a resort were not available.

The property is renovating. Over half the rooms were closed, along with the pool, path to beach, and lounge area. The biggest disappointment was all the balconies were condemned and closed. The outside of the upper floor windows were so dirty it was difficult to even enjoy the view of the Atlantic. No breakfast available and the "bar" closes at 6 on a weekend. It will be nice when completed, and for an overnight it is OK just for a place to sleep, although it could have been cheaper noting all is deficiencies. The blues club next door is worth a try.

Room was fine. Everything was clean and functioning. The pool was VERY Cold and no Hot Tub to warm up in. We went down the beach and snuck into the Hiltons warm pool and hot tub. We take are grandkids to a beach hotel at least 2 times a month. This next weekend will be at the Hilton.

The majority of the hotel was under construction. We could not use the pool or gym nor could we open the door and use or room balcony as tje door was screwed shut. There was no beach access either other than to walk through the parking lot to an alternate lot where we had to use public access.

Chris the manager had a delightful attitude. We were disappointed that Expedia led us to believe there was a hot tub but there was not. Chris did everything he could to accommodate us. The room was large and clean and close to the ocean. Not like looking at the beach in the distance over a parking lot like some "beachfront hotels."

In the process of updating, so no balcony or pool access. We were told ahead of time. Still such a nice property and will return to its earlier glory once remodeled. Staff wasn’t as friendly as usual, but certainly still prompt and polite. Will always return here.

The hotel is currently undergoing some renovation which means no access to balconies for ANY room (not just the ones they are currently working on). You cannot even open sliding doors to watch & hear the surf from inside the room during our temperate spring weather. Pool area is also closed, which means to get to the beach, you have to walk through the parking lot and use a public access that is at the end of the street beside the hotel. First room they put me in, the in-room safe was left locked and they could not unlock it, refrigerator did not work, a light bulb was out, and the clock was unplugged for which I had to move the mattress to get to the outlet. Second room had no in-room safe, no clock at all, and stopper in bathroom sink did not work. No lightening for bathroom vanity. The only light is overhead and behind you so you have to apply makeup, shave, whatever with your face in a shadow. At least the bed was very comfortable and it had a good desk work area. I had stayed there before. This visit was very disappointing.

The views are slaying but the amenities are completely closed. Yes they said the pool and balcony were closed but this also means the entrance to the beach as well as restoration are extremely inconvenient for guests to saves from the beach. Also the restaurant is closed and the construction is from sun up to sun down making this really a stay at a construction yard with a view. Zero concessions were offered to makeup for these inefficiencies.

The property was very clean. Half of the building is being rennovated, however, you could not hear any of the rennovation. Balcony and pool are also being rennovated. We did not have an issue with this because we did other activities in the area.

Rooms are cleaned well and spacious. House keeping takes pride compared to other places near by. The view was amazing from the room, the pool pump went down while we were there and it was handled quickly, they had it back up and running in a few hours! There was another situation that was handled professionally while we were there nothing to do with the hotel itself. I will say they care about there guest 100% !

The hotel advertised that the pool is closed and the balconies were blocked due to updates. What was not said was that the sliders were screwed shut and "Condemmed" notices were plastered on the sliders for the balc0nies and the windows had not been cleaned since last season, so there was not a beautiful view of the ocean. This was as of the 1st week of March.

Price was high for oceanfront with no beach access no balcony access no pool and an extra charge of $16 dollars per day for parking with only half the hotel in operation. I know they are doing renovations but seems they should have started them years ago ceiling stain with wet spot looked like mold or mildew screws sticking out of sliding door could have caused an injury if I didn’t notice it.

Balcony situation - let's be real - people stay at a beachfront hotel to have balcony access. I was called a mere 3 days before my arrival to be told the balcony was not in service. This late notification was by design so that people don't make other arrangements. I was already on vacation on the West Coast & didn't have a computer & wasn't about to spend time searching on my phone for a different hotel at that late date. He said he may be able to arrange for the door to be opened 6 inches - enough to let in fresh air and sound, but no physical access - but when I checked in, I was told this was not going to happen. The balcony actually was CONDEMNED. I had also asked at the time I made the reservation for a quiet room, which was the case the first 2 nights. On the 3rd night, I was rudely awoken @ 6 AM by ridiculously loud people in the next room, slamming doors and sounding like they were bouncing off the walls. This went on for an hour and a half until I finally dragged myself out of bed, banged on the wall and then called the front desk to notify them. The in-room phone did not work, so I had to use my cell to call the front desk. The room was also filthy upon check-in, with other people's hair all over the floor, fingerprints all over the furniture, dirty smudges on the couch, etc. I did ask for the room to be cleaned, and the staff did come in and do a cleaning. Steep charge for beach chairs & umbrella. Guess I should be grateful that towels were provided.

We were aware of the construction but you had to go around the hotel for beach access. With no pool there should at least be better beach access. We refused the first two rooms as there was water on the floors. No where to get coffee on the premises. I would not go until construction is finished.

Our room was covered in ants. The air handler in the hotel room sounded like an airplane engine all night long and the sink was literally cracking and disconnecting from the wall. Bathtubs were clogged. Couldn’t even take a shower without it filling up the staff did give us a new room, but didn’t offer any other recompense

I’m not the type of person to complain. This hotel was right on the beach and was beautiful. Staff was very nice. The Bad: Hot water wasn’t working at first. Then upon fixing the hot water didn’t last long at all. When we got there the elevator was working and leaving it didn’t. We didn’t get a notice about anything to do with the property until after we paid Expedia. Balconies, pool, and more wasn’t available nor stipulated until after we paid Expedia. That wasn’t fair. Like I said I’m not a complainer and I would have been ok with everything but $300/night for no hot water is ridiculous. Other than this I have been enjoying using Expedia’s platform for our travels. I am nervous about booking across country through this platform. Will have to see how the next experience goes.

Likes: The staff members at the front desk were great. Dislikes: The maids' came to our room 2 different days and we were not sure why because they did not speak english and nothing was accomplished. The air conditioning in the room was extremely loud. Didn't like that the hall to the rooms were not a conditioned area and all rooms air condition exhaust blew on us in the hall so was very hot. Construction shut down the room balconies, poolside bar and had to wait many times to use elevators due to construction workers

The exterior of the hotel needs more sprucing up. And the balconies were not accessible during our stay. Need microwaves in the rooms instead of the laundry room. The couch in our room was not comfortable and a little outdated.

The room was great, but I rented an ocean front room so I could open the window and enjoy the sounds and breeze from the ocean. Couldn't do that. I absolutely would have chosen another hotel had I been advised that the door couldn't be opened more than about 4 inches, and only in the sitting room area, not the bedroom. Was so disappointed.

I booked for a long weekend and when booking i booked a corner balcony room and paid extra for the room. I did not see in the small print only one line under special check in that said balconies not available. One small sentence in small print. Same on several other websites that i checked after we got there and found doors screwed closed with a big yellow sign on them saying condemned. The hotel is obviously older as the décor and interior proved. There was a odor in our room and the toilet ran continuously during our visit. The pool and bar staff were great but pool towels were thin and small not even able to wrap around. I was told rates reflected the inconvenience but my bill def didn't show that.

Staff (Brian) checked us in and he was very welcoming and informative. We knew the property was under construction, so we were not surprised by the work being done on sight. Our suite was very nice with plenty of room.

Staff were awesome ion the main ... especially Brian who was mega helpful and friendly. Hotel is misrepresented in the photos - dated and remote. Balcony was condemned, so no outside in the heat.

The door to the room wouldn’t shut closed unless we pushed it closed when we left or pull it shut when we came in. The light switches didn’t work. There was no easy way to charge the phones. Had to change my phone in the bathroom. The AC was so loud, the bed was so hard the pull out couch bed was better. The pool was closed and they staff didn’t seem to care. Couldn’t use the balcony it was closed. We was celebrating me beating cancer. When told that to the staff it was like no big deal. Staff just wasn’t friendly, it was like they didn’t care. Then mentioned several times this hotel was booked through a third party. What does that matter they got the payment. We checked out a day early and went to another hotel.

It is on the ocean and every room has an ocean view. However, the balconies were all closed! You could not use them or even open them up to enjoy the breeze or hear the ocean.

I would just want to start off by saying the staff were excellent and helped us with anything and everything we needed. The view from the property was excellent although the balconies were closed and you were unable to go outside onto them which we did not find out until after we booked the property. This wasn't a big deal because the view is good enough without being able to go right out on the balcony. The only other thing that was a problem was for whatever reason there's not a single outlet in the main bedroom. The outlets are actually covered up by large pieces of furniture so if you want to charge any of your devices you need to go into the next room over. We also noticed that some of the lamps didn't work. Besides all of that it was an excellent stay it was very clean and the beach access was awesome. The breakfast restaurant is really good and I recommend it I would say though the prices were a little bit high for what you got but the staff is wonderful. I didn't get a chance to enjoy the pool or the poolside bar so I can't comment on that. There's a decent amount of parking and there's plenty of stuff nearby. So one little special note about this place it is amazing for watching rocket launches at night they literally fly right overhead it is one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had.

We loved the view from our suite. Was wonderful being right on the beach. And especially being right on the only dog beach in the county. So much fun watching the dogs play in the ocean. Great local places to eat nearby.

The location is right on the beach and the corner beach side rooms offer a spectacular view. The place was clean but the finishes could use a refresh. Also there was a nice sized bar in the room but no microwave. For $250/night a few more amenities would be nice.

The property itself is beautiful. The view was superb. However, the couch and chair were very dated and worn. No microwave in room was disappointing. No bar except a small tiki bar which was not open very much. No restaurant except for breakfast and that only offers bagels or English muffins. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Overall, nice place to stay if you plan on not being there much

Loved the view of the ocean and access to the beach as well as the friendly staff and the amazing breakfast. However, we were not aware that the room balconies were currently condemned and not accessible. This was not disclosed at the time of booking. The property is awaiting inspections. The rooms could also use a little updating.

A day before my reservation they called to inform me that the balconies were still closed, too late to cancel. Drinks at the bar are expensive and bottled water was $4. Ants in the sink. Older male bartender complaining about female staff helping with food to everyone sitting at the bar. Loved the room, just very disappointed about not using balcony.

Beautiful hotel right on the beach. We had a corner room which had gorgeous views of the beach with almost 180 degree views. The staff was very attentive. We had lunch twice at the pool. The fish tacos are delicious! We will definitely be back to stay here!

Very friendly staff. Balconies are off limits which they don’t tell you until after you book but it wasn’t a problem. Very limited food options. The cafe is only open for breakfast and the tiki bar/cafe (actually, just a little side room with a tiny bar) only serves until 6. The food in both places is outrageously priced ($15 omelette. $7 bagel. $15 cocktail). Too bad, because Ben our server:bartender was amazing. Everything you could want from a hospitality employee

Overall our stay was great. Room was clean and great view. Opportunity to see two rocket launches from our room. Hotel needs a little updating. Pool area is sufficient but can be better with additional umbrellas and music to create a better atmosphere. Pool towers need to be larger. Breakfast was great and staff at the front desk was very nice.
