I’ve stayed at plenty of aloft hotels over the years and have enjoyed everyone of them until this one. Originally I booked for two days but enjoyed our stay in Scottsdale that we booked one more day. For parking you have to put a parking permit in the window of your car. Since I was extending my stay I took the old one out of my car and went to the front desk to get a new one. When I went to the front desk no one was there. In about ten or fifteen minutes the lady from the front desk came back. I explained that I booked another day and needed another permit for my car. From the time I left my car to the time I returned only 30 to 35 minutes had pass and my car was towed. When I went to the front desk she said the shift manager did it and had left for the night. She act as if she didn’t know but soon after that gave me the tow truck number. I called the tow truck company and they said I couldn’t pick up the car until 8 am. This all happened at 9 in the evening. The lady at the front desk told me the manager would be in at 8 am. I went to the front desk at 8, he wasn’t there. I went to the front desk at 9, he wasn’t there. The lady at the front desk gave me his number. I called him and he didn’t answer. I texted him about the situation and he called me back in about 20 minutes. He told me he would call the tow truck company and explain to get the fee dropped and it would be my responsibility to get there and pick up the car and I agreed. He never called me back and I had to pay

Hotel is going through a renovation, but it’s still clean. Lobby is very small. The bar is nice but there is no restaurant so only a few options for food that the bartender will cook for you in the back.

Awesome hotel centrally located in the scottsdale whiskey row area. Lots of food and bar options, all walkable. The hotel itself is perfect. Quiet and clean. The staff were very friendly and professional. They have a nice pool outside the lobby and a bar upstairs near the rooms for a night cap. Room had a small coffee maker with all the fixings. Covered parking was a nice touch. I will definitely return to this hotel. I highly recommend.

Great location near old Scottsdale. Large rooms. Clean and well maintained. Lots of parking. Downside is 12$ per day for parking and the tiny pool surrounded by high walls.

Well, our usual go to place but this time, the pool was cold (turn the heat up) there was a damp towel folded up and left on the shower floor!!! Only one pair of earplugs for two people!!! The pool needed a good cleaning!!! The room is minimalistic but why just one lamp and on the rest, try two!!! Will rethink about booking again!!! Needs some work and now you have to pay for parking, really!!!

Overall, happy with the no frills hotel. Gym is nice and that earned my 4 star rating. Rooms are avg. there was a stench in the room. Asked for receipt at checkout and there was a missing breakfast charge- and front desk guy said, I guess you got it for free. We’ll see if they taxi it on after the fact. Parking fee at a property like this is BS.

This property is in dire need of updating , dirty and the rooms are dilapidated. Bathroom floors and showers are peeling, ceiling peeling, vanity falling off wall , no drain cap , broken, no lamps by beds , says there is room service , NO room service available , all doors , moldings are chipping off paint , carpet filthy, chair by desk filthy, crevices not vacuumed. I wouldn’t even walk on the carpet barefoot had to go purchase house shoes … BEWARE… would not book this hotel . Photos on line do not depict the current state of this property . Even the entrance sign is broken . Staff said upon checkout they are getting ready to do a renovation …. Expedia should really take this property off its booking engine . Disgusting to say the least!!!

The bed had a few hairs on it, the bathroom floor/shower floor looked like it had not been properly cleaned before we arrived. We didn’t even want to shower there because it looked gross. Service at the front desk was nice and friendly. Not impressed with the condition of the hotel itself. Looked like lipstick on a pig.

Not worth the price. At all. Really needs an update. The bathroom floor was peeling up everywhere. Shower floods. Walls have liquid stains. Definitely will not stay there again.

It's pretty run down, especially for the price ($260/night). Sink was wobbly and didnt work. Sheets had a few stains on them. In general everything felt older and outdated, like it hasnt been replaced. Its also above a club and makes you feel like youre staying at a dorm or hostel. Parking at night is hit or miss as there arent enough spots.

Great location. Staff was easy to work with and check in was less than 5 minutes. Very accommodating with a crib set up in the room. Downfall was dog hair in the bed that I picked off the sheets. Other downfall is how flooded the bathrooms get from the shower. There is no full enclosure and the shower head does not swivel in any other direction

What I love- great location. That was pretty much the only thing. The rooms smelled muggy and moist. The room was filthy, crumbs everywhere and surfaces nasty. The bathroom was also not cleaned and the set up of the shower is not ideal, makes the whole bathroom floor wet. Only one elevator working, and took 10 mins to get up and down with the elevator each way. Most likely will not stay here again.

There aren't many plug-ins. None next to the bed, I found an extension cord in a hole in the wall behind the bed. No Microwave or Fridge was disappointing as I travel for work, and brought cold food with me. Clean Hotel, Great Location, just little things would make it a whole lot better.

They have a dance club right outside that blasts dance/deep bass till after 2 am. We tried everything to cover the noise and couldn’t sleep. I brought up to the front desk to maybe not book rooms directly on top of the club on weekends. They were rude and told me I should have known it was going to be loud all night. If you want to pay for a hotel that you can’t sleep in, this is it!

Since the last time we were at Aloft Scottsdale they were renovating the rooms but I must say, terrible reno, it went from minimal to pathetic, one desk light for the entire room, art was absolutely awful (a corner mural) and the rug awful!!! Try some cool lamps on the side tables and plug ins for tech equipment in bad or inreachable areas!!! Will think twice about going back, just too minimalist

Good for the price. And good location. Nothing fancy or memorable. AC wouldn’t turn off. Bathroom floor needs a repaint. Bed was very comfortable. A little noisy at night. All in all fine. Good price. Generally clean.

The cleanliness was fine. Just fine. Not great. BUT the service is absolutely terrible. They charged me 300 dollars in “incidentals” and when I called they said “don’t complain it will go away. You authorized it.” And I did NOT authorize that. I knew a small hold would go on my card. SHAME on this hotel. You take peoples money and tell us not to complain- AWFUL AWFUL service.

Hello. We try ro stay at aloft whenever we can. But. This experience had a couple of issues. Staff and cleanliness were great. But our tv remote didnt work. We called the front desk and they sent some one up with batteries. It still didnt work. We called but no one ever came up to help out. We did figure out how to turn it on manually but it seemd like there may be an issues with it. And it was very hard to turn of manually. We also only had one regular coffee int he room. One regualr one decaf. So my husband had to get dressed and head downstairs for my coffee.

The staff at front desk and the bartender were amazing! The location was great, however not being from the area we didn’t expect the noise coming from the clubs all around the hotel. It would go until 2am, so if you are a light sleeper like myself…this is not the best choice to stay. The room was not serviced during our time there and we had to ask for more towels. As many others commented in their reviews, the shower enclosure definitely was not long enough and we would be left with water all over the bathroom floor.

I was told by Misty or Missy that I could book for Sunday and get an early check in approved. I was told to book it online to get the best rates, so I did. I booked the hotel and arrived at the early check in time I had asked for. I was then informed by the front desk person Darrius that I could not get an early check in and that I was unable to book a room at that time due to the system being in audit. As I walked out the door expressing that “I love people that can’t do their job”, he asked my name. I turned and informed him of my name and he began to argue with me. He mentioned he was informed that I would be arriving early but that there was nothing he could do. As the argument continued, I explained that I will be issuing a chargeback on the hotel for lying and “burn the place down online”. Darrius then told me that I was trespassing and began calling Scottsdale Police Department. Do not believe a word these people say and be careful if you have to have a conversation with them, they do not hesitate to steal your money and call the police on you

Although everyone that worked there was very friendly and nice, the complimentary breakfast lacked signage and upkeep in supply and demand. Bathroom lacked…. Constant shower drippage and water outside shower making floor wet and unsafe. Great location… to restaurants bars shopping and stadium.

There isn't any food at this restaurant. The bartender said he didn't have any food, because they left the refrigerator open and everything got spoiled. They don't have any complimentary coffee anywhere on the premises, either. However, you could make coffee or tea in your room. No mini fridge or microwave in the room. A pool view was very lame, and barely a pool view. They charge 12 bucks a day to park over there, too. I won't be going to any Aloft hotel in the future.

The breakfast was very poor, only few choices of fruit plus bread without any kind of protein (eggs, sausages, meat...). The room is very basic. I would not repeat if I come back to Phoenix. As a positive point, the gym was clean and the machines worked OK, and the Front Desk staff is nice.

Continental breakfast is set out and no attendant so we figured it was complimentary but then got a charge for $10 each. I had only a bagel so I complained and they removed the charge, but I believe they should tell you when you check in and there should be a sign at the plates.

My stay at Aloft was just fine. The check in attendant was nice and welcoming. The room was clean. I discovered the only plug in attachment close to the bed didn't work, so I had to plug my phone in at an outlet far away. The walls are thin, and there are bars nearby that are loud. I used ocean wave noise at night and slept fine. Other guests are disrespectful and shout down the hallway at any time of day. The water pressure in the shower was wonderful. Parking is great and there are plenty of spots, even some in a garage. They advertise breakfast, but it was just grab and go style bagels/bananas, etc. which wasn't appealing. I also discovered the iron and ironing board in my room was broken as well. I told the attendant when I checked out about all the broken items, and she didn't even apologize for the inconvenience, which left a bad taste in my mouth. Overall it was a fine place to stay. If the property made some small tweaks, my stay would have been easily better.

This hotel was bare bones and had a creepy front desk staff that we had to walk past every time we came and went and went to the pool. Restaurant and bar were closed. Loud neighborhood, but we knew this when booking. We asked for a fridge and housekeeping carried one in and put it on the counter. Just a window, no balcony so it felt a little closterphobic.
