I wish they had on site parking but you can’t create new land in downtown Salem. We would stay here again. The room and bed was much, much better than I would have ever expected. The breakfast was amazing. We loved it.

I absolutely loved it here! Nice, clean room in a beautiful building and the location could not be any better. The only thing to note is that the parking was a bit far away and required us to get a parking pass from the front desk. Not a big deal for us but worth noting!

Great central location. Quiet. clean room, comfortable bed and pillows. Car park was bonus. Breakfast basic and good. Only suggestion I would suggest is if self check in details were sent early morning as opposed to 3pm. If you are on international flight and end upbeen delayed things can become stressful. I appreciate not everyone would be arriving after hours but when events go amiss its good to know you have all info well in advance.

The Salem Inn was in an excellent location to the Witch House and Essex Street where all the shops are. We looked forward to the free happy hour everyday at 4:30. The room was clean and very big. Will stay again if I go back to visit Salem.

We stayed on the top floor, in the West House. There's no elevator, but they have a dumbwaiter for your luggage. We didn't mind using the stairs and found the place and room very charming! You're in town, and across the street from the Witch House. Everything is walkable from here also. The complimentary breakfast in the cafe downstairs was nice and the staff are lovely! We'd definitely stay here again!

Old hotel in great shape. Offered afternoon wine and a breakfast in the bottom floor restaurant. Servers were very nice. Room near and clean. Only draw back was that we were on the third floor. No elevators

Perfect location. Everyplace is walkable. Free parking was a couple of blocks away, but not too far. They were great at communicating about changes to front door key pad, the included breakfast (pre-order and time reservation required), check in and check out process. Reasonable rate. Staff were super nice. Lovely room. Would definitely stay here again.

The Salem Inn is a perfect location to see all Salem has to offer. The staff at the Inn were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and quite comfortable. We would definitely stay at the Salem Inn again if we every travel to Salem again.

The jacuzzi jet tub was lovely, and as someone who loves not having to interact with people, the no contact check-in was heaven. I did not see a single person in the inn during my stay, and that is a wonderful compliment. I wish the TV had been closer to the bed because even with my glasses I could not read the subtitles, but my partner and I pulled the blankets off the bed and sat on the floor and it was very romantic. Also, black-out curtains would have been great. We had a lot of fun during our stay. No complaints at all.

This inn is absolutely delightful. My ONLY complaint would be we were in room c12 right in tbe corner where the community area is and when unruly guest come barging at 2am and have a second gathering its loud and awkward. But the Inn itself is wonderful. Clean with a very helpful contactless staff!

Lovely historical property in fun/funky Salem. We stayed in a 4th floor walk up family room. We loved our stay and would have appreciated two things: An elevator (there is a luggage dumbwaiter) A full bfast (you could only choose one item, so we could have an omelette, but not with toast—or we could have an English muffin, but not with egg).

Our stay at the Salem Inn was charming and memorable. The property itself is full of character, clean, and perfectly located for exploring Salem. What truly made our experience exceptional was Suzanne, the innkeeper, and the other staff members. They are all absolutely amazing…welcoming, attentive, and full of fantastic ideas for dining and must-see spots around town. Their passion for Salem and their guests shines through in every detail. I love the location, the room itself, and the atmosphere. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we requested a rollaway bed to be delivered and then left to tour the town. When we arrived back, it was after the front desk and closed an emergency contact person said they were unable to assist, with the fact that a rollaway bed was not placed in our room. I slept on the floor that evening. When explained, and question to the front desk, know offer of compensation reimbursement was given.

Did not meet expectations as described in Website; impersonal & spread out. This Inn comprises 3 historic mansions. They assign you a room. Ours was on the 3rd floor, and was very tiny. I guess I should have mentioned my husband has a bad knee. You use Open Table App to reserve your breakfast time, and text your selection off their minimal breakfast menu the night before. Twice they didn’t relay the info, so we’d get additional texts asking us to reserve time, etc. We never saw a living person, except the kitchen staff,who were very friendly. They sat us at the exact same corner table all 3 mornings we ate there. It was a 2-3 minute walk down & across the street to eat breakfast. The constant texting was irritable, the atmosphere impersonable, and the room was underwhelming for the cost.

We loved the communication from the property manager about scheduling breakfast times and housekeeping options. Also, we locked ourselves out one evening and the manager was there within minutes to help us get in. She went over and beyond to help us which made our stay even more memorable!

It is always such a pleasure to stay at Salem Inn. My daughters and I have such special memories of our times there. I brought one of them several years ago (in the summer), and this time brought the youngest (in the winter). Both stays were wonderful. The staff is so helpful and friendly, the breakfasts are great, and we love how easy it is to walk everywhere we want to go - with parking included and nearby, we can just park the car and forget about it until we check out. I will stay at Salem Inn whenever I have a chance to get to Salem.

This is a beautiful property. One block from where the tourist part of Essex Street starts. Walking distance from everything we wanted to do and see. Touchless check in made this the easiest experience.

Overall great experience. However, the breakfast wasn’t great. Limited choices and even worse for people who are gluten free. I had an omelette with no sides and the texture was quite dry. My partner had a single waffle with 2 small breakfast sausages. I left hungry.

It was a wonderful property and nicely appointed with a modern kitchenette and bathroom. It was in walking distance to many of the local attractions and convenient for parking. The room was nice and clean…very pretty. The mattresses however were not the most comfortable. Front Desk Staff was friendly and accommodating even though most things were done virtually. It was easy to communicate and made things run smoothly. The breakfast was a bit of a downer as we waited an hour for waffles and Cheerios and we were traveling with 2 kids. Food was average. This was despite having had made a reservation with our order the night before (required by the inn). Breakfast staff kept saying they were busy but the tables around us were practically empty - only 2 other tables with 1 or 2 people at them. Even though breakfast was included in our stay, we only went day one, thereafter we opted to not deal with the aggravation. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the inn to others.

Had a great stay at The Salem Inn! Having breakfast provided was a great plus. And we were invited to a wine happy hour which was very enjoyable. Our room at a fire place which was a nice way to end the night. The hotel is in a great area and in walking distance to everything you need to see. Definitely would recommend! Only regret is not signing the guest book!
