Sonesta Select Boston Milford

Room was good, but shower didn’t work, when I asked them to fix it at 7:30 am, I was offered a different room but shower could not be fixed that day. Breakfast schedule stated it started at 7, but the person who works there was late and the shop didn’t open until 10 am. I did like a little balcony in the room, it was warm in the room and bed was comfortable. Pool was also available at any time, but I doubt its cleanness since maintenance is not top notch there.

I researched the area for an overnight stay. This hotel had an “8” review. I booked a deluxe queen room with a balcony or a patio. We arrived and thought the lobby was cute and clean. Our first experience with the front desk was pleasant enough. We checked in and then proceeded to our room. The first thing I noticed were the dirty filthy carpets, and the first elevator, which was closest to our room, was inoperable. We had to proceed to the far other end of the building to take the other elevator to the third floor. The room looked okayyy but definitely had not been cleaned thoroughly and the beds looked lumpy and unkempt. There was no balcony. We dropped our bags and decided to check out the rest of the hotel. The entire first floor was in a demolished state. It smelled of must and mold and there was a gaping hole in one of the walls and smoke alarms hanging by wires from the wall. We proceeded to the pool area and had to walk through construction and debris. Also having to interrupt construction workers on ladders to get through to the pool. There was no changing room, no bathroom in the pool area or near the pool area and the pool was filthy. We couldn’t even see the bottom of it. I went out to the front desk to inquire about it, and the hotel clerk was unsure if it was treated with chlorine. We just got an overall feeling that the entire hotel was not clean. Staff was unhelpful and rude when we explained why we wanted to leave.

We requested h handicap room and what we got wasn’t that at all. There was no way for my boyfriend to take a shower. Also they filled in the whirlpool. Read the fine print because the continental breakfast is for a fee not free. When we first got there we went to the pool and it was great. But that evening other members through a party and took up the whole area. Food and drinks and children that treated the pool like a garbage can. The next morning we pulled out a towel from the bottom, food pieces and multiple wrappers from the pool. I teach my daughter to respect the rules and this entire group just destroys the rules. It felt very unfair that we couldn’t use the pool that was there for everyone because someone used it as their own personal party room.
