I used the filter option to find a hotel with 1. A bar..2. Hot tub. The advertisement listed both and had photographs of each to support it. Upon arrival I was informed the bar closed at the beginning of COVID lol years ago. I subsequently walked to the pool area and noticed the hot tub was empty with caution tape around it.. (2 strikes at that point)..I continued on to my room which was in the first floor. When I entered the room I immediately could not breathe through my nose- it was incredibly musty. The manager informed me they usually have pets on the 1st floor and gave me another room on the 2nd… the second room appeared relatively clean until I went to take a shower and noticed there was a used face cloth that had been drying on the shower rod. The staff were all super friendly but did not attempt to rectify any of the false advertising that caused me to spend significantly more on this hotel than the other options in the area. I tried contacting hotels/ Expedia and have been unsuccessful. I feel there should be some form of compensation for this due tot he hotel being so different than what is advertised. I don’t think I’ll be using a 3rd party app in my future hotel booking.

There was a large number of unsupervised minors in the common areas which made them difficult to use. The hot tub was empty and out of service and the pool was quite busy. The room was nice and bathroom was clean.

We like to stay places with pools for the kids. The pool was cold and the jacuzzi was broken. Disappointed in the price we payed for the room when the amenities we wanted weren’t that great. Room was fine.

Such a bummer that such a nice hotel has been allowed to go down the drain. Elevator out of order, hot tub out of order. Bathroom fam did not work. Hallways dingey and worn. The room itself was very clean, and the staff was nice and professional. The lobby area was a nice place to gather.

Just a fair stay, lots of kids yelling and running around till late at night. The pool bottom was dirty and the spa jacuzzi was empty with no water. The breakfast items advertised were not available. Dirty towels thrown around the grass areas and patio, left over the whole weekend. We appreciate one of the helpful desk clerks, she accommodated our medical needs. As one clerk could not be bothered to tell us where bulk trash could be thrown, as we like to police up after ourselves.

Hotel was fine, clean, good price for what it offered. Woefully understaffed. The front desk person was alone both at night and during the day. Room smelled musty when we first arrived but could air it out with a balcony door that opened. Charged us $5 a day to park in a huge, EMPTY parking lot. Such a petty charge was annoying. I'd rather they charge $5 bucks more for the night than nickel and dime me with something like that. Coffee not accessible. No towels at the pool.

I was super upset. My flight was delayed so I ended up getting to the hotel at 1:30am. No-one was at the desk for 30 minutes. I was calling the front desk in hopes that someone would hear the phone and come to the front desk, but no-one did. I was so tired and so desperate to get into a room, I went behind the desk and knocked on doors behind the office. Finally someone came out, apologized and offered me a bottle of water but it was really frustrating. Then they put me on the first floor...I walk in...there's dog hair and stains all over my bed, there's human hair ini the bathroom and the lamps and bed frame were soooo dusty. Truly it was really gross but I was SO tired I layed on the little couch thing and went to bed. When I woke up, I went to the front desk with photos of the room, the stains, the dog hair and she apologized and let me change rooms. The next room in fairness was WAY cleaner but the entire experience was pretty terrible =( I've never left a review before but this was necessary.

Overall wasn’t very clean—the bathroom had hairs from someone else all over the place. The pool area was not well tended and could not smell any chlorine which was concerning. I will not go here again.

We’ve stayed at this hotel many times when in the area visiting family. This visit, we could see that the hotel is getting a bit worn—dirty carpets, stained upholstery (eeeeeewww!!). The 1st floor hallway always smelled funky because of the pool. But this trip it smelled musty, mildewy. This trip they charged us $5 per night to park our car. C’mon!! It’s a surface lot similar to a shopping mall! Cheap-ass and petty. Since everyone drives to this hotel, just tack an additional $5 onto the room fee rather than springing that on us upon check-in. They’ve lost us as a repeat customers. I doubt we’ll stay here again given the other similar grade hotel options in the area.

Beautiful view of the middle courtyard. Great location but service and employees not helpful. You can tell it’s just a job for them they don’t care if there is a mix up or someone screws up they just clock in clock out and don’t care about you or type of service they give. When calling you are lucky if they decide to answer your phone call. Someone is hardly ever at the front desk and if they are there, they don’t care about the guests anyway. Housekeeping is wonderful, kind and works hard to keep the rooms clean and tidy.,

The hotel is well equipped and priced fairly and has all the basics we expect and appreciate; clean, everything worked the way it was supposed to, the room was stocked with enough towels etc. My favorite attribute and what made this hotel a standout for me is how dark the room is at night! It seems like all hotels lately have built-in nightlights that glow, smoke alarms with flashing lights and other unexpected lights and noises in the night. Our room was perfectly dark and quiet; we couldn't hear the elevator, couldn't hear the neighbors, couldn't see any lights. It was a cozy cocoon and I slept so good which was appreciated!

It was an Aok hotel. The hotel is quite old looking.I felt like the online pictures were a little deceptive especially with the really dull looking cluttered reception area and lobby. The rooms were surprisingly very clean though.

We checked in during a busy time and werent given much information, breakfast, checkout time etc. But we were given tips for our night plans. I loved that the sleeping area had doors to close it off from the sitting area. My early riser could watch TV without dusturbing my sleep. Room was neat and tidy. There is a center courtyard and you either have a patio or balcony which is nice. Parking was a $5 fee

The first room, 200, was by the stairwell. The door to the stairwell was very loud and shook our door every time it opened and closed. There were a lot of families with kids, I believe it was a couple hockey teams, so the kids kept using the stairwell. No fault of the kids or families, but I notified the front desk about the noise. I had asked to move rooms since the door was so loud and obnoxious. The front desk clerk had asked me if I laid in the bed, so I did let her know I sat on it. We only had the room for less than 30min. She told me she couldn’t switch rooms. I argued that it was a hotel issue that needs to be fixed and demanded to get another room or I will deny the charges. Out of obvious reluctance, she gave us another room. Just so happens our neighbors were super loud kids up until 10:30pm, but at least they were quiet through the night. The bed and amenities in the room were good and comfortable. Service needs some work and they really need to fix all the stairwell doors.

TLDR: Overall I give this establishment a 3.5. Room itself was clean. The in-room complimentary cups (for the coffee) however were not. The phone in the room did not work so we needed to run down to the front desk whenever we needed something. Wireless was inconsistent; the front desk knew about the issues but didn't have a resolution. This $5 per day to self-park is utterly ridiculous. I'm sorry Sonesta - do better. There is another comparable hotel (price-wise and star rating) and their cost includes breakfast (Sonesta does not -it's an add on). and one thing that's ridiculous but out of Sonesta's control is this Milford "hotel tax". During a trip for a towel request, I mentioned the broken phone to the front desk person - he did not offer a replacement. He was more intent on telling me that housekeeping service was by request only. I didn't realize that - but it made sense as many places are doing this now. He asked if I would like to schedule service and I said yes. Then after about 15 seconds he made a sarcastic comment about how I would have to help him out. I was so confused - 30 hours of traveling - I just wasn't fully functioning. You know, I am all about the friendly, lighthearted banter. His approach was more passive-aggressive. And it didn't hit me until later that he passed over the broken phone - and went right into this snarky tone about housekeeping. Some of the front desk staff really need to take some classes on customer service.

I was a bit taken back by several things which caused a little angst. We were expecting a much longer driver there as the GPS was indication a little more than five hours. To that end, traffic was extremely light and we made it in less than four hours. When we go to the hote, we were told that check-in wasn’t until 4:00 (we arrived at around 3:00. When asked if we could check in early we were hit with a $15.00 early check-in fee. (Welcome to the hotel). I’ve never ever had to deal with anything like this. If a room was available we were able to check right in. While the mail areas were presentable, the stairwells needed attending to. I walked up and down the stairs for two days and the garbage in the hallway was never picked up nor were they vacuumed. We ordered the prepaid breakfast and were able to get a cup of coffee and a bagel. For $9.00 per person I just as well should have gone to a local iHop. At least I would have been satiated.

Wait for someone to come to the front desk to check in. Find out they ran out of keys. Got my room number but had to wait again for them to let us in. They stated they would call when keys arrived. That didn’t happen. Got a key and beddin but they ran out of pillows for the pull out bed. Key didn’t work had to go back down stairs. Horrible

the staff was not pleasant and we had to give a 24 hour notice to get our room cleaned and there is no notice that we needed to give a 24 hour notice until we ask for cleaning then you are told. We had no hangers in the room and were trold they didnt have any extra hangers.

$5 per day for parking in a lot that was not close to being full. Holiday and then weekend so zero room service, zero cleaning anywhere, no one to empty garbage, with limited staff for 3 days. By the time we left the elevator had garbage and cigarette butts in it and the outside cans were overflowing. Only saw one employee at front desk. Go to front desk for towels or anything else you need because no one available to help. We’ve stayed before and it was not like this. Will go elsewhere next time.

My first stay at a Sonesta. Very similar to Courtyard. They have rooms and pool that are handicapped accessible. Though the room I stayed in was clean and spacious, the paper products were not stocked so I had to go to front desk a few times to replenish. Was convenient location, just off the highway. Nice biking/walk/jog trail access very close, but no sidewalk or shoulder or crosswalk, so can be difficult to access safely.

It started out poor. Either the hotel or Expedia screwed up an upgrade we were offered for a slight price increase. I didn’t bother with blame, no use. Hotel gave me a nice price reduction without even asking for it. Hotel breakfast is kind of a joke. Skip it.

They advertise continental breakfast, they do not have! You pay for a cup of coffee or a bagel. The rugs are dirty throughout, need to be replaced with flooring. Windows in the room were filthy!

The included breakfast deal it’s a rip off. They charge over $20 per breakfast and the option is either a bagel with cream cheese, a croissant a mini cereal box or a Greek yogurt with a bottle of juice. Wish bought anywhere else it cost less than $5. But in the advertising it sells it as a continental breakfast. Also the cooling system in my room was not working. I did call the next day and someone did come up and fix it right away. There was a morning front desk lady on Saturday 4/20/24 that I failed to get her name but was rude and unhelpful. I asked to see if I could get refunded for my Sunday breakfast ticket since I was not going to use it after seeing their breakfast menu that morning and she was unhelpful. Than I asked for menu to the different restaurants around she looked at me like if I was crazy then looked annoyed at the fact that she had to get up off her seat to look for the menu’s and then just handed me 2 of the same menu’s. I was very upset with that specific staff service. Not helpful and not people friendly.

Unfortunately they shut down the pool and hot tub, which is why we chose this place, but the room was nice. I recommend getting breakfast out instead of paying for what they offer at the makeshift Starbucks counter, otherwise good stay.

Marilyn at the breakfast concession was just superb. She took time to learn my name and went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed. It seemed like she was there to help 24 hours a day. She is deserving of a raise and outstanding review! For the cost, breakfast should be included. There wasn't a lot of variety, and no viable dinner options. Steven at the front desk was a tremendous help with finding lighter fare that I could prep in my room. Overall, a nice property with comfortable, quiet rooms.

Trip to visit relatives. Only at hotel in the evenings. Carpets in public areas stained and musty. Breakfast was extra and rather expensive for what they were offering. Single yogurt $4.50. The hotel was ok for what we needed, but would look for better place next time.
