It was an fine location and good service from hotel clerk, employees and management. Swimming pool was very good and comfortable. Order the food, breakfast and dinner was marvellous and perfect food taste. Enough space to walk outside in the garden and beautiful nature from trees, flowers and birds.

Modern property with excellent food! The breakfast, dinner, and lunch buffets were chock full of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, including 6 or so desserts! The property has a 25m swimming pool and a tennis court. The executive suite was accurately sized at 650 sq ft. Bathroom was clean, modern, and had a powerful shower, but wasn't as good as other hotels which had the toilet enclosed by a door within the bathroom. The hotel provided a welcome tray of chocolates and fruit. There is a mall with a Shoppers Stop a few blocks away.

I stayed but not felt that much of comfortable because renovation work is going on and from my room to elevator I need to walk almost 650 mts. That is the one of the worst thing. But the staff is very friendly that makes me little comfortable and rooms are not that much great

I absolutely loved the Taj Deccan. My second visit here on this trip, and the staff were as kind as I remembered them the first time. The rooms are quiet, comfortable, and the service is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. Despite the location, it is silent - even in the pool outside, where the road isn't that far away, there is no noise, and I was able to relax.

I stayed at Taj Deccan for a couple of weeks on a personal visit to Hyderabad. The best part is amazing staff in cafeteria and on the premises. Excellent food choice, and selection - all very well prepared meal. The newly opened bar is great too with nice ambience. I can go on, but will stop here.

Central location. Good breakfast options for diabetic or High BP folks. Friendly staff. Didn’t like smell of mildew in corridors. Can see mildew on the exposed central round wall due to construction. Breakfast too late. At 7 am. Some travelers need to go options on breakfast. TV worked in room after 2 days of a 3 day stay. Gym TV also needed programming . Hope to return after construction work is done to see a new improved Taj Deccan.

A Taj is a Taj. The welcome was amazing and I would like to thank Mr Zac and Mr Ujjwal of the front desk for their exceptional level of hospitality. My luggage did not arrive at the airport but they sorted it all out for me in no time. The hotel may be in need of a refresh, but the people make the difference. Congratulations. The breakfast was also amazing. One minor issue.. housekeeping loves to spray this choking air deodorant in the rooms and corridors and it is really too overpowering.. I have seen staff literally walk up and down the corridors incessantly spraying the air with this cloying, synthetic scent.

We experienced an incredible stay at the Taj Deccan recently-the service at the hotel was top notch, highly personalised and took care of the smallest requests. Right from the front desk to the Chef at breakfast ( Chef Kumar) the housekeeping staff (Sonita) were all very attentive to our peculiar requests as my sister and I were travelling with my 15 year old nephew for his tennis training. The hotel staff went out of their way to make sure that we were made to feel comfortable during what was otherwise a very hectic trip! will most certainly recommend the hotel.

Taj Deccan, though priced as a 5 star property, offers facilities equivalent to 3 star properties. Except the staff serving breakfast such as Mr Sailash, others lack professionalism. Front desk staff needs to put the training they get to actual use. Clear lack of supervision there. Expedia needs to come forward to rescue their clients in case of difficulties. Sadly, this was missing. Poor value of money in Taj Deccan. Felt like waste of precious holiday time.

Breakfast options are limited. Staff are not attentive. Needed to tell multiple staff members about needing a refill for the juice containers, and even 15 minutes later they were not replaced. There were multiple power failures, including one in which we almost got stuck in the elevator. For a supposedly 5-star hotel, the power disruptions should not have been felt by the customers and the generators should have kicked in automatically, which never happened. Even in remote villages, with an inverter in the house, the lights never go out. However, the Taj Deccan had multiple power failures during which the lights went out completely which definitely surprised me!! After staying at all 3 Taj hotels, I have to say that Taj Deccan is the worst of all in every sense.

This was the first time my wife and I stayed in Taj Deccan. It’s a great location compared to hi-tech city because we can reasonably commute to any part of the city. ( Relatively …;-) ) Price is also better. Nice and friendly staff and clean rooms. Food was great too.

We had booked our room at the Taj Deccan but to our surprise we were moved to the Taj Krishna across the street. The Manager promised a room upgrade for the inconvenience and once we were moved, we were given a regular room. Manager wasn’t professional and unexpected of Taj Staff. It was disappointing that we weren’t informed ahead of time that we would be moved and for making a false promise.

This place was phenomenal. This was probably the best service I’ve ever received at a hotel, ever. The food is great and breakfast spread is impressive. 10/10. My only knock on the hotel is the area that it’s in. It’s…boring. Not a deal breaker, but if you are someone who likes to walk from your accommodation to find places to eat, access public transport, go on a walk, see things, take photographs, then the location makes things a bit difficult.

This is a terrific property in the heart of the city walkable to main shopping in banjara hills. The service at this hotel at really really excellent. This is a 2-star hotel IMO. Absolutely awful, just about everything sucked. Bathroom was utterly disgusting and room straight up stunk. This branch is an embarrassment for Taj Hotel name. How did this even qualify for Taj hotels. Not to mention, restaurant couldn’t even make a decent filter coffee for which they charged 370 rupees for one cup, who even gets filter coffee wrong esp in South India. Never staying here again.

We were here for a week in July, the offer was reasonably priced for a 5 star hotel. Taj is a comfortable welcoming hotel. It has the perks of 5 star and I feel the staff try hard to make you feel part of the family, which is very nice. You can see it is an older hotel, currently undergoing some renovation so only one lift was working. However this was not a major issue. If you are looking for five-star luxury plus, I don't think this is necessarily the place. However if you are looking for a place where people are friendly, keen to help, and the facilities are good with a comfortable stay, this may be what you would like. I have commented separately about the absolutely wonderful experience I had using the pool for my daily swim and the steam room and gym area. Satish and Sajid, the staff are amazing and I really enjoyed this part of my day. The pool is one of the best pools I have swum in over the years. One thing I would say is that it seems the hotel is used for conferences. There isn't a lot of seating area in the reception so if you want to leave the room and go and be comfortable somewhere while you are waiting, I think it might be useful to have some areas where guests could sit as it can get quite crowded

Perhaps the most beautiful and unique hotel I’ve stayed in - a converted palace, so charming and old world. One truly feels like royalty here from the moment of arrival when a great horn is blown to announce your arrival. Our suite was vast. Every corridor of the hotel features period artwork. I would definitely return!
