The room we stayed in had two twin beds but was very spacious and clean. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The gym looked decent but we were unable to use it. We did get a massage at the spa which was very good. We ate at the buffet breakfast one day - there is a wide selection of items to choose from and the staff were very friendly. The location of the hotel is excellent - close to lots of restaurants and shopping, as well as St. Luke's Hospital if you are going for medical needs. Will definitely stay here again.

It is in a perfect location in BGC, which I now think is the best place to stay in Manila. The ladies on the check-in desk were very friendly, chatty and welcoming. Like a lot of hotels and residences in Manila, the pool was really good for lap swimming, which a very attentive life guard who was very quick to speak to some people who strayed into the lap lane. The jacuzzi is excellent, though it wasn't working on the morning of my second day. Possible the best feature is use of the Kerry Sports Centre. The steam room and jacuzzis are amazing. My only complaint there is that when I arrived, I was only given vague directions to that area. I was wandering around for a while trying to find it and it was only when I strayed into a private area that a member of staff appeared. Even then I had to get assistance from another guest. Breakfast, as with all Shangri-La properties, was incredible. One event did leave a sour taste in my mouth though, when I was apparently inappropriately attired for breakfast and rather than tell me, the lady spoke to my Filipina companion, who passed this onto me.

Amazing location, in the middle of BGC. I love this hotel, the staff were so nice and were friendly and welcoming. The nice check in lady upgraded us to the 40th floor for a cheaper price. The buffet on our floor was the best buffet me, my son, my wife and her Filipino family had ever tried. The kids fun center was also nice and so was the pool. Everything about this hotel was great.

The service and staff were excellent - very attentive, welcoming, and helpful. Unfortunately we were disappointed by the cleanliness of the room, particuarly since we booked a suite. The room smelled like the last guest had smoked in it and the carpet was dirty around the edges and had stains. It seems like the Shangri-La has begun to show its age, at least in our room. Overall a pleasant experience and we may stay here again in the future, but probably won't book a suite next time after this experience.

Due to the poor design of the bathroom shower, mold had been reappearing even after housekeeping has cleaned and scrubbed the shower. The shower is enclosed with glass with poor ventilation and the door must remain closed at all times.

They seem very desperate for money here now… Kept asking if I wanted to upgrade my room. Place was empty. And they still wouldn’t give me the view over BGC Front desk said that costs more? What? Other times I’ve staid I always had that view. Stain on the carpet is not a 5 star look. AC only goes down to 18.5 degrees. Maybe trying to save on energy bill? Was HOT in the room. Won’t be back!

- The floor of the unit we stayed in had deep stains. - The lampshade facing the living room had a broken shade that is visible upon entry in the unit - The unit doesn't get as cold as other hotels we've been in - The closet door is broken, I try to not open it often s I won't wake up my partner in the morning - The food was probably 2 star. - Inconsistent rules about hotel policies depending on who you talk to and what their perception of your economic standing. - The staff we're very attentive to our needs so that was nice but it could be better especially if you're spending five hundred dollars per day. - view was amazing - Andrea from the 40th floor is very consitent and has good customer service etiquette. - Will I return in the future? yes but with a heavy heart.

The hotel itself was great. We had a horizon deluxe room with club access. Free drinks 5-7 with basic nibble food. We tried both the breakfast in the club and in the common High Street Cafe. The common one had EVERYTHING you could have asked for. The room was spacious with a super king bed. The bathroom was very spacious and luxurious. I would stay here again if I was back in Manila.

Have stayed here a number of times and it’s always a pleasure to return. The hotel is in a great location and has a beautiful pool and gym. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. It’s getting close to time for a bathroom update but apart from that this hotel is tops in Manila.

Stayed in Shang BGC for the remaining days of our 3week vacation in Manila after 11yrs. I thought it would be nice stay in a trusted Shang property so we leave Manila on a positive note. Did not happen. Terrible staff especially the welcoming ambassadors who greet you upon entering the hotel. A particular staff welcomed us by asking "did you get a suite or JUST a deluxe?". You do not use "just" or any point of comparison between your accommodations. I shared the feedback to the Manager, hours after I saw the same staff at the lobby. I greeted her wi to a big jolly smile on my face which returned by rolling her eyes, frowning, and snob attitude. This annoyed me expecting that as someone who works in hospitality, you do not/never engage with your "paying clients" with crass and antagonizing attitude. Regardless if your were the subject of a complaint! On our last day, I booked an airport transfer and preferred a luxury suv. I asked for a bmw suv and there was a back and forth over series 7 and x7. I know for a fact that series 7 is a sedan but they were saying that its an suv. I googled a picture, thinking there might be a little disconnect to how they call bmw models. I showed a picture of a bmw x7 suv, showed it to all their transport staff and everybody confirmed it was the same vehicle they have. Came the time we need drive to the airport, a bmw series 7 sedan was waiting for us. This is super annoying, disappoint, and downright unacceptable.

I have been traveling the world my whole life and have visited many countries during my time in the U.S. Navy. Shangri-La The Fort Manila and Shangri-La the Fort Boracay are by far the best resorts I've stayed in. The services they provide far exceed the price you pay (in my opinion). The complimentary breakfast was phenomenal. All the staff were professional and prompt. Best customer service I've seen anywhere. Specific shout out to the night manager Karl.

The most frustrating stay in a property who pretends to be high end. Many errors in the check in process. Invalid charges. Broken room parts and just a bad experience overall. Then invasive staff practices once escalations started pilling in. No one could extend a booking properly no one could reverse invalid charges. Then when refund was processed they also got that wrong. Food was horrible, staff was horrible. AC was intermittent, bathroom door was broken. Just bad considering the prestige it pretends to have.

Look, this place is grand, said to be one of the best hotels in Manila. Bgc is also a developed area so it felt like home. It felt safe and everything we needed was in walking distance. The stand out for me was their gym. Their pool was a disappointment, breakfast buffet was sadly also disappointment, maybe cause we expected so much more from this place. Overall it was a nice place to stay. Customer service 10/10.
