I booked this property to unwind after a wedding weekend before flying home the next morning. We wanted to swim and relax. When I arrived, the lobby was COMPLETELY gutted and a loud jack hammer was operating. Someone pointed to a portable table set up for the girl working there. She was not only working in unsafe conditions (hearing, dust, etc) but proceeded to try to check me in as if nothing was happening! The pool was closed and covered with a tarp. There was no indication anywhere that notified me of closed amenities and/ir noise. I immediately requested a refund and walked next door to the Holiday In. express instead. Shame on Hampton for charging regular fees with no transparency.

multiple hotel properties adjacent to eachother. parking areas closest to the hotels were filled with airport parking. we had to walk some distance from our parking spot to the front entrance, prior to check in.

Hotel is under construction, which had I known, I wouldn't have stayed there. Rooms were recently done, but there was no swimming pool as that was under construction. Also, the breakfast area was a temporary set up. I believe construction will be done in a couple of months. There was also very limited parking.

The property was in a great location for us, we appreciated that it was in a safe and quiet location and the parking lot is huge! On the downside they are in the midst of renovations which were not noted when booking and it is very dusty and an active construction site. They could have provided a discount at check-in but just made out like it was ok and did not. The pool area is closed, very dirty but looks finished so they should clean it up and at least reduce the dust and debris around for guests. The pool next door is open for use by guests at the holiday inn, would recommend just staying there until renovations are completed. Would stay again, as long as Reno’s are done.

Stay was just okay. Wouldn't book here again if in the area. Breakfast was not too good. Our bathroom was not clean when we checked in. Hairs all over bathtub. The staff was not friendly at all. Other than when we checked in, no one spoke to us. We passed the front desk every morning and every night coming and going and no one ever greeted or said a word.

Our 2nd visit. We were troubled this time by an AC/Heating unit (this was late Nov) that would keep alternating between AC and heat. Heating to a little above the desired temp when the AC would turn on, blasting cold air. We told the front desk but nothing was done. We had to manually turn it on and off all night.

The property definitely needs sn upgrade. Our room had a "musty" smell. We were on the second floor and there were kids above who were constantly running around and it sounded like a "stampede" above us for most of the evening. We were awakened early the next day by lawn service outside the window. Definitely not a restful weekend away.

Stayed at Hamptons many times but would not recommend this one to anyone. Public areas are inaccessible due to renovations. Room was great but the washroom door did not lock. Worst of all, the staff was very unfriendly and unwelcoming. It seemed as though they’ve never worked at a hotel before, not a single staff member smiled or tried to create a positive atmosphere and we are very polite so there was no reason not to. I couldn’t help but understand from this experience that the staff had some prejudice against minorities.

Stay was safe and did what was needed for travelling solo with children. Seemed to be a bit of construction going on - which is not a problem. There was a little clunkiness regarding check in procedures and car park procedures. Close to DTW. Safe to stay solo with children. Will return for more single mom adventures.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hampton Inn, it felt like home away from home. Customer service is great, friendly and professional. The room I stayed in was very clean, the outside grounds was very nice and quiet. Conveniently located to several shopping centers and restaurants. Highly recommend.

We had a very good stay at this hotel. Staff was very welcoming and the hotel was extremely clean. My only complaint was breakfast was until 10am and my son and I got down there at 9:50 and they had already cleaned up the waffle batter and closed the waffle makers. The woman cleaning it up saw my disappointment and said “oh sorry we close at 10am” I looked at my watch and said yes but it’s 9:50 and she just went right back to cleaning. Would definitely stay here again but make sure you get down to breakfast early enough so they don’t close it up on you. Overall great hotel.

Our room was ready when we arrived.The room was in excellent condition. Everything was clean and smelled fresh.The staff was friendly and everything was above and beyond. There was fresh hot coffee available all day and rhe breakfast was outstanding with several options ranging from fresh breads and pastries, to scrambled eggs, boiled eggs and even turkey sausage gor us non pork eaters.

This hotel far exceeded our expectations. So beyond what one would expect from the standard airport hotel. Special note must be made of the breakfast offered and the woman in charge, Michelle. I have never seen a cleaner or better maintained hotel breakfast than here. It was evident that Michelle takes great pride in offering guests an exceptional experience and it made our stay all the better!
