This hotel is beautiful small oasis in the middle of San Jose del Cabo. Architecture and interior design are wonderful. Lots of interesting art and sculpture and blooming bougainvillea around. Pool, bar, restaurant are excellent. Courteous and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

From the first text from Emmanuel we liked this place,they try hard to make your stay the best they can.Christina was excellent ,so polite,and helpful.Nacho and Premito (sp) were also excellent.The pool area is relaxing,everything is very clean,the beds super comfy,nice sheets and pillows.My wife and I loved staying here,we will definitely stay here on our next trip!

The Tropicana has been nicely updated. We were greeted by Raul who made us feel very welcome. Daniel at the front desk assisted us throughout our stay. Roberto at the pool made sure we had what we needed. And Julio in the bar hosted an excellent cocktail class.

Staff was terrific: helpful, warm, cheerful. We felt like they had become friends. Restaurant excellent. Cooking lessons fun. And right out the door was the beautiful town of San Jose with shops and art and restaurants.

Wonderful staff top to bottom! Really enjoyed the pool and pool service, attentiveness from reception, quality of service and food at the restaurant, and the friendliness of the room services. We even enjoyed playing billiards in the rec room! Definitely want to come back.

Parking was a little hard to locate because it’s behind the hotel and you have to get on the other street Our only complaint was that we could smell sewer periodically over the 20 hours we stayed and maybe that’s just typical of San Jose Del Cabo. Outside of that, the hotel was A plus.

Location and friendly, efficient employees, unfortunately the other thing that stood out was the freezing cold pool, low 70s and the hot tub that was 80 at best. I know it’s still hot out in the sun but we expect a somewhat warm pool. Prior to the remodel and now management by the Hilton, the Tropicana was one of the few pools in los cabos we could count on for being heated. We live out on the coast and enjoy coming to town once in a while. A warm pool, great location near the plaza and great employees was always a draw. We were wondering how it would be after the Hilton took it over. The property is attractive, though some of the old mexico colorful funk is gone, now a blue and white theme. Nice they kept the trees and bougainvillea around the pool. We would still stay here during the off season when prices are reasonable due to the wonderful location…. Oh ! And who ever chose the shower head obviously did not have nipples. The pressure is not adjustable and it blasts out in sharp narrow streams

This hotel is beautiful small oasis in the middle of San Jose del Cabo. Architecture and interior design are wonderful. Lots of interesting art and sculpture and blooming bougainvillea around. Pool, bar, restaurant are excellent. Courteous and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

The Tropicana has been nicely updated. We were greeted by Raul who made us feel very welcome. Daniel at the front desk assisted us throughout our stay. Roberto at the pool made sure we had what we needed. And Julio in the bar hosted an excellent cocktail class.

The client experience was amazing, we were tired and it had been a stressful day but we immediately felt at home upon our arrival, it felt like we had walked into an oasis, so tastefully designed and decorated. Staff was friendly and helpful, Cristina at front desk was lovely. The restaurant was equally as welcoming and despite being very quiet the food was excellent.

This property is beautiful and the staff is amazing. Upon checking in we had the pleasure of meeting Primitivo, one of the staff members, who was always going above and beyond. The staff was not only great to us, but my six-month Pomeranian was greated with his own bed and bowl. The Tropicana Restaurant is definitely a must, especially if Roberto is at the bar. He was kind and definitely knew hes stuff. We also did a tasting with the manager Christopher on the first night. What a great expirience. We will definitely be coming back to this establishment!

Wonderful staff top to bottom! Really enjoyed the pool and pool service, attentiveness from reception, quality of service and food at the restaurant, and the friendliness of the room services. We even enjoyed playing billiards in the rec room! Definitely want to come back.

Unfortunately, my experience was frustrating from the moment I arrived. The hotel is very difficult to find, especially if you are driving. There are two separate entrances on different streets. One entrance is for pedestrians and is located near downtown, while the parking entrance is on the back side of the property along a large boulevard. The problem is that the address provided leads you to the walking entrance, not the parking entrance. There is little to no signage, making it very easy to miss the entrance. If you drive past it, you have to go all the way around again, which is inconvenient and frustrating, especially after a long trip. In addition, there is no elevator, so carrying heavy luggage can be difficult. The hotel was also quite noisy. People were talking loudly as early as 6:00 a.m., and there was significant traffic noise from outside, making it hard to get a good night’s rest. I strongly recommend that management provide the parking entrance address in their instructions and install clearer signs to help guests find the property more easily.

We appreciated 2 large bottles of water, coffee maker, soaps, shampoo, lotion that was provided. Mattresses were comfortable and the hotel was very quiet for resting. Appreciated the common community spaces - sitting areas, game room, pool, restaurant, etc. Would love to return some day!
