Nobody let us know the indoor pool broken. This is the only reason we booked this location. If we had known about the pool, we definitely would not have stayed here. One of the two elevators was broken & the one that was working had an out of date inspection certificate.

Everything was normal except that I was headed to the pool when the manager said it's closed because he can't see the bottom. The gym was to close for comfort even with only 2 people in it. Breakfast was well organized and very good. I thought I was getting the run of the meal eggs but they were actually delicious.

The staff was engaged and helpful. The room featured a handsome dark wood desk/wardrobe along one wall. Overall, it was a very nice, if outdated room. There was nary a USB outlet in site, and the loose electrical outlets that things just fall of that you find in rooms a bit long in the tooth. I did really like the room, and the housekeeping seemed to be very good. I only ding the room for cleanliness because of a problem with the bathtub that was beyond housekeeping's control. The bathtub would not fully drain of water because it appeared to be sunken in the middle. Water appeared to have been repeatedly sitting in there for many hours at a time. There was staining in the middle of the tub, and a low ring around the tub. This very nice room should not have been available for use because of this one problem. A problem that staff could not help me with because the hotel was full. This unacceptable was not the fault of the staff I told about this problem. The responsibility for this probably not to code tub falls fully on management and ownership. I never thought I would see this at a Hampton Inn. I have attached a photo I took 24 hours after trying to get the water down the drain with a towel after I took a shower. You can see the small puddle of water still there, the ovalish area of discoloration showing the general outline of the depression, and the disgusting ring around the tub.

The property was close and convenient to all things related to travel. Restaurants, campus, gas stations, etc. The property itself was not as clean as other Hamptons I’ve stayed in. The carpets in front of elevators were matted and unkept. Crumbs in most crevasses of the chairs in dining. Obvious parts of decor were dusty. The room was within the tolerance for a one the night. The air conditioner, however, rattled and was a bit loud. The queen beds were spring mattresses and not comfortable. I’d stay here again but only if other hotels weren’t available.

The staff was not friendly at all, when asked to send some tooth brush in the room, that said no, i had to go myself. House keeping was also done alternate days. The second day i did not have towels, so i asked when you are sending the housekeeping, they said later in the afternoon, I had to stay without shower until later afternoon. The price wise, they were charging as if it is five star hotel.

The hotel is clean, our room was of good size. The staff was very friendly, especially during breakfast. The breakfast itself is typical of big chain American hotels - barely suitable for human consumption (read: normal). The hotel itself is visibly aging. So am I, hence it was a good match. Except the hotel can, and should be refreshed soon to stay competitive.

The workout room was awful. Instead of buying a Peloton maybe spend some money on a wider selection of weights more than one set of 5 lbs dumbbells. The mattress was awful. Extremely uncomfortable and seemed very cheap. Same thing with the pillows. Overall the hotel was fairly quiet except when there was a screaming laughing girl outside my room at 2 AM.

Room was excellent. Breakfast pretty good. Location/parking superb. Staff was the best part of the stay. The front desk concierge's name was Heaven. She was polite, helpful, informative and friendly. Helped me with directions and a good place to buy gas. Would stay here again.

Older hotel but staff and management were nice and accommodating. Breakfast was good. A couple times I had to wait a while at the front desk for someone to help me with questions. There just wasn’t anyone there or a way to find someone or tell them I was out there waiting. Maybe a bell would help? We would definitely stay here again though.

We made our reservation (thru expedia) for 3 adults and a queen bed plus pull out couch. When we checked in the person at the desk admitted to giving our room away and gave us a room with only one bed. We requested a portable bed or pull out couch and he said he didn't have one so one adult was forced to sleep on the floor. When we talked to the front desk the next day, they had a roll away bed brought up to the room, then changed our room to one with two beds so the remaining nights we each had a bed to sleep in (this was good). The hotel said they would reimburse us partially for the first night's stay since we didn't have enough bed space, but they charged us more instead. We got them to remove the additional charge after much work and calling the headquarters. Overall, it has been a nightmare dealing with them and their customer service is aweful. We contacted expedia the night we didn't get a room for 3 adults - expedia has since ghosted us. Additionally, the manager at the hotel told us we should not book this hotel through expedia if we want to get the room we booked and paid for.

The most obnoxious staff I have ever encountered in 40 years of business travel. The hotel lost my reservation and gave away the three rooms I had reserved. That was bad enough, But then the staff treated me like I was the one at fault (even though they eventually admitted they wrongly canceled the reservation ) and made no effort to assist me in any way to find another place to stay. They were sneering and obnoxious and never apologized. Never, never stay here.

We were within walking distance of our daughter’s dissertation at university of Illinois college of engineering. There is a Perkins next door. Convenient to other restaurants. Friendly, welcoming staff. Nice breakfast. Although we were a few minutes early to eat, the kitchen staff offered to fix us a hot meal. Very nice!!

Everything was excellent. The continental breakfast was disappointing. The scrambled eggs tasted like powder, not real eggs.. Everything was carbs. There was no protein other than a milk. The bagels were rockhard. I could not cut through it to put it in the toaster. The bananas were bruised. There was no cranberry juice rather a strawberry kiwi water mixture. Just not what I expected for a continental breakfast. Everything else in the hotel was excellent, but I was disappointed with the breakfast.

Love the free coffee and breakfast, especially light roast and decaf options. Especially appreciate the long hours on breakfast (to 10 not just 9). Good healthy food choices too. Main reason we stay at Hampton Inns.
