Quite misleading, property listed as resort, and it is nothing like resort , golf club next to them is not a part of their facility , there is no health club and no swimming pool or any other amenity Just an appartment with a nice view

Area and outside of room was great, great view of the quay and nice and quiet vibe but still close enough to the city for food etc. The room we had was very outdated, numerous lights not working, including the one in the shower behind a tiled wall so was quite dark when showering. Window leaked when it rained and looked like it had for a while considering the state of the skirting board which was starting to crack and rot. Sliding doors from living room to bedroom were off the hinges and when we managed to get it closed they didn’t even line up and there was a big gap at the top of the door. Parking was also limited with the 3 possible guests/apartments. The grounds and the rest of the facilities were good, but this particular room could do with some serious TLC or price needs to seriously be dropped for this room.

My wife and I stayed at Peppers Clearwater Resort for three nights for the Christchurch leg of our honeymoon through New Zealand. We very much enjoyed our stay and the staff helped to make our honeymoon extra special. The accomodation was clean and had everything we needed with amazing views. The restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced for the quality of the meals. The accomodation is also quite close to Christchurch Airport, which made our early morning transfer so much easier. The only issue we had during our stay was the parking - we stayed in one of the villas which appeared to have three reservable accomodations, but there were only two parking spaces out the front. This meant at one stage we needed to park down the road and walk to our accomodation. For us it wasn’t - big issue, but we are both reasonably mobile. Another point worth noting is that the surrounding area is very quiet and far away from the hustle and bustle of Christchurch CBD, but this is of course a benefit if you are looking for peaceful and quiet accomodation.

Entering the grounds you meander along a long curved driveway bound by shrubs and lush green lawns directly up to the Reception entrance. As you walk into the spacious reception area, the first thing you notice is the warming fire directly ahead. To the right is the reception desk. Check in was seamless and in no time we had our map to guide us to the accommodation. To access the room you climb external staircase to an enclosed undercover entrance to front door . The room is massive compared with many other accommodation spaces, and that is only the downstairs section - separate toilet, kitchenette, dining area, lounge out onto a deck with timber outdoor setting. Upstairs is an office nook, walk in robe, bedroom with super king size bed and room leads out onto a deck. Separate bath, shower, basin and toilet areas. We were blown away by the size and the view. We strolled to the main complex to dine. Enjoyed the fresh flavours and produce offered, as well as the wines. Staff were attentive and professional. We only stayed overnight but you really need to spend more time so you can soak up the atmosphere, recharge your batteries and relax. Thank you for a wonderful service.

The room we were allocated (1220) was surface clean, but the fan was so thick with dust that I had to clean it before we could use it. The cutlery was dirty, and the dishwasher and the cupboards were not clean. While the bed was comfortable, the rest of the furniture was really shabby and, worse, included several shin-high tables that had sharp corners. My husband bumped into one such table shortly after we arrived and cut open his shin.

The room was rundown and lacked maintenance. Mould in the ceiling in the shower and water damage in the ceiling downstairs. The exterior doors were all binding are hard to open . Ridiculously tiny amount of milk in the fridge .

It was just an average accommodation facility. Yes the location was very nice. Private grounds with a pleasant outlook including a large pond. My room was not water front as such. Had a slither of a glimpse of the view. The on line images featured the best units not the second level ones with no real view. As for the unit I stayed in. A little tired and possibly needing a make over. Did observe the unit next to mine being up graded. Was aware of that when workers started making noise at 07:30 that woke me up when I needed a sleep in after travelling 12 hours the day before. Poor allocation by the booking agency to place a guest next to a renovation site. No peace and quiet at 07:30. Not sure I’d race back there again.

Our room was not as expected and were only advised after we had checked into the room that we would have no TV due to the owner not having paid the Sky bill, and we were not able to be shifted either. The bed was very comfortable, however were woken just after 6am with someone using power tools nearby. All up not a great experience and we did not feel we got value for money. We would not stay here again.

The accommodation was fantastic, spacious and warm. The heated towel rack and heating in the bathroom was great. The food menu was really good as was the level of service. The bed was very comfy and the wifi was easy to connect and provided good speed. The staff were super friendly!!

Great big rooms, lovely lake and golf course views, super friendly and helpful staff, fast room service meals. In our particular room the kitchen cupboards were a bit wonky and some fresh painting needed, but minor compared to the general feeling of luxury and peacefulness.

The rooms here are massive and the views and amenities are incredible! So happy we booked a night here during our time in Christchurch. It’s your own slice of heaven with an incredible view of the golf course and a beautiful bath that overlooks it. Was so romantic and cosy. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made the stay even more enjoyable!

Location was excellent and the Suites have a magnificent view overlooking the golf course and lake. Very spacious lounge are and kitchenette downstairs and ensuite bedroom upstairs with huge king size bed. Lovely outside deck for relaxing afternoon nibbles and drinks. I was actually booked in the standard room but had no view so I was fortunate enough to be able to upgrade to the suite which had the magnificent views. The staff were always very friendly and extremely helpful with any request and went out of their way to assist. Ryley was magnificent and helped with my concerns a few times. The restaurant food was also of high quality and meals were quite large - I only had one meal and tyhat was the Lamb Rump.

Awesome property- we stayed in the lakefront suite and the view and the suite was awesome. We will definitely stay again here. One thing- the Wifi connection in the suites was very very slow (< 2 Mbps). Please fix it.

Room was very tired, i counted 9 blown bulbs, lots of scuff marks, cracked and dirty tiles, obviously no care taken with maintenance. Definitely no longer a 4 star hotel. Ordered breakfast via room service and it never arrived. I will not stay here again. Not worth $300 per night

The accommodation was fantastic, spacious and warm. The heated towel rack and heating in the bathroom was great. The food menu was really good as was the level of service. The bed was very comfy and the wifi was easy to connect and provided good speed. The staff were super friendly!!

Unfortunately we had a man access our room late in the evening (10pm) from his key access card - we must have been issued the same room. Was horrible for us & I would imagine him also. The room was reflective of the price.

There was no bottle of water in the room so went to get it to front desk walking 10 minutes,at 10pm at front desk. A guy said the don’t have it and bar is closed. I know they have it somewhere since it is golf resort so asked to get it. The guy just said bar is closed and didn’t bother to get bottles. I ended up broiled tap water in the room for drinking water. Terrible service, never stay.

Location was excellent and the Suites have a magnificent view overlooking the golf course and lake. Very spacious lounge are and kitchenette downstairs and ensuite bedroom upstairs with huge king size bed. Lovely outside deck for relaxing afternoon nibbles and drinks. I was actually booked in the standard room but had no view so I was fortunate enough to be able to upgrade to the suite which had the magnificent views. The staff were always very friendly and extremely helpful with any request and went out of their way to assist. Ryley was magnificent and helped with my concerns a few times. The restaurant food was also of high quality and meals were quite large - I only had one meal and tyhat was the Lamb Rump.

We arrived later than hoped at 2am in the morning after our flight was delayed; the drive was only 10mins from the Christchurch airport and the overnight reception staff member was standing and awaiting our arrival, completed our checkin promptly, drove ahead of us to direct us to our apartment block then assisted us to carry our luggage into our apartment to settle in quickly- thankyou, very welcoming and helpful. While we did anticipate a king bed, not a queen bed we were otherwise very comfortable and undisturbed. Next morning the view over the lake and grounds were stunning, with snowclad mountains as a backdrop. A lovely breakfast with decent coffee was followed by a walk around the beautriful grounds- definitely explore the trout living in the brook cross by the driveway bridge and walk the Groynes track. Highly recommend.

It was just an average accommodation facility. Yes the location was very nice. Private grounds with a pleasant outlook including a large pond. My room was not water front as such. Had a slither of a glimpse of the view. The on line images featured the best units not the second level ones with no real view. As for the unit I stayed in. A little tired and possibly needing a make over. Did observe the unit next to mine being up graded. Was aware of that when workers started making noise at 07:30 that woke me up when I needed a sleep in after travelling 12 hours the day before. Poor allocation by the booking agency to place a guest next to a renovation site. No peace and quiet at 07:30. Not sure I’d race back there again.

My wife and I stayed at Peppers Clearwater Resort for three nights for the Christchurch leg of our honeymoon through New Zealand. We very much enjoyed our stay and the staff helped to make our honeymoon extra special. The accomodation was clean and had everything we needed with amazing views. The restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced for the quality of the meals. The accomodation is also quite close to Christchurch Airport, which made our early morning transfer so much easier. The only issue we had during our stay was the parking - we stayed in one of the villas which appeared to have three reservable accomodations, but there were only two parking spaces out the front. This meant at one stage we needed to park down the road and walk to our accomodation. For us it wasn’t - big issue, but we are both reasonably mobile. Another point worth noting is that the surrounding area is very quiet and far away from the hustle and bustle of Christchurch CBD, but this is of course a benefit if you are looking for peaceful and quiet accomodation.

Entering the grounds you meander along a long curved driveway bound by shrubs and lush green lawns directly up to the Reception entrance. As you walk into the spacious reception area, the first thing you notice is the warming fire directly ahead. To the right is the reception desk. Check in was seamless and in no time we had our map to guide us to the accommodation. To access the room you climb external staircase to an enclosed undercover entrance to front door . The room is massive compared with many other accommodation spaces, and that is only the downstairs section - separate toilet, kitchenette, dining area, lounge out onto a deck with timber outdoor setting. Upstairs is an office nook, walk in robe, bedroom with super king size bed and room leads out onto a deck. Separate bath, shower, basin and toilet areas. We were blown away by the size and the view. We strolled to the main complex to dine. Enjoyed the fresh flavours and produce offered, as well as the wines. Staff were attentive and professional. We only stayed overnight but you really need to spend more time so you can soak up the atmosphere, recharge your batteries and relax. Thank you for a wonderful service.

The rooms here are massive and the views and amenities are incredible! So happy we booked a night here during our time in Christchurch. It’s your own slice of heaven with an incredible view of the golf course and a beautiful bath that overlooks it. Was so romantic and cosy. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made the stay even more enjoyable!

Si site de l’hôtel est magnifique. L’appartement donne sur un lac et sur un terrain de golf et il est très grand. C’était comme si on était au paradis. Nous avions le petit déjeuner inclu et celui-ci était excellent. J’aurais donné 4,5/5. Le seul hic est l’ameublement de l’appartement. Celui-ci devrait être rénové et les meubles changés. Je dirais que ceux-ci datent de 15-20 ans. Nous avons tout de même passé un excellent séjour.

While the property was well located (for us) the grounds and layout were exception & inviting and the unit we stayed in, good, clean and presentable, What seriously let this place down was the restaurant and dining service. The Food was just food, very average, no wow factor and no Love shown on the plate with the presentation. The chef /cooks obviously were having a bad day or didn't care. I suspect the later. The wait staff were un-inspiring, lacked training (or just didn't care), did not smile and chat with us about the food and menu, nor did they provide a wait service to our table that was anything other than mediocre. The wine was plonked on out table in a bucket which we opened and we poured ourselves. Plates, glasses were not cleared away in a timely manner and mostly we were ignored or forgotten while other customers came after and were served before us. We waited for more than 45 minutes for the starter to be served, complaining twice about the delay before service. On discussion with the manager, he agreed to not charge for the starters and discounted the mains, and while this helped appease the situation we left feeling very angry about our treatment as customers and members of the Acor group. We selected Peppers Clearwater as it alluded to be a better class of hotel, accommodation and service. Such a disappointment, - and for us - never to return or use a Peppers brand restaurant again.

I stayed in the Lakeside Villa. Filled up one of the bathtubs, could clearly see soap scum floating on the surface. The other bathtub was clean. The TV in one of the bedrooms had faulty speakers and could only broadcast static. One of the bedrooms was really noisy at night, couldn't identify the sound, but we had to all bunk into a single bedroom because of that. However, the hotel staff was exceptional. We were offered a change or rooms, but we were only there for 2 nights and were exhausted, so we opted to remain. So we were given breakfast for the 2 days that we were there. The view was lovely, and the rest of the amenities within the room was good. The place was very spacious, and other than the bathtub, everything else was clean.
