2-room apartment

We enjoyed our stay. The apartment was beautiful and well-equipped. Having a designated parking spot was a major advantage and we really appreciated having the elevator to bring the luggage from the car to the apartment and to go down to the car when we were exploring the surrounding area - easy day trip to Monbazillac to visit the wineries and enjoy the free wine tastings. Hosts were very welcoming-gave us a gift of a lovely bottle of wine, gave us restaurant recommendations, and even put us in contact with an English-speaking tour guide. We were encouraged to contact them if we needed anything. Isabella’s English is good and we had easy communication. Perigueux has many good restaurants and interesting shops, we particularly enjoyed the Wednesday market which is very close to the apartment. Be aware that Perigueux is a very hilly city. The walk from where the car is parked into the town is up a very steep hill. You can take the elevator up one level from the apartment, but you will still have to climb a flight of steps and walk through a park to get to the shops and restaurants and when we were there, the police locked the gates to the park at 7 PM and then the only way back was down the steep hill. Also be aware that although the apartment is mostly on one level there are some steps - notably 2 steps from the master bedroom to get to the en-suite bathroom. Not more than three steps in any of the three sets of steps.
