Great stay. Lots of fun things to do at hotel like , basketball, pool tables, badminton and even a playground near outdoor pool for the kiddos. My family had a great time and we would come stay again in the future. Thank you to red lion hotel for accommodating our stay and letting us extend it!

At one time this was probably a great hotel - large rooms surrounding a large pool and lots of amenities including tennis courts. However, the hotel needs an overhaul and is quite dated. The bathroom and toilet looked like nothing had changed since the 1980s.

The hotel was clean,spacious, and staff were all great and polite. The pools ( inside and outside) were awesome, we will definitely return and stay longer! This Hotel has amenities for the kids to enjoy and keep busy for hours and resturants were all walking distance.

The property itself had so much too offer, except food. (Restaurant was closed) but other than that there was soooo much to do. Felt like a mini resort. The kids had the time of there life!

Overall Nice hotel but disappointed that kids could not play pool. They were not allowed in gym or hot tub. It said online there were board games and puzzles but they said at hotel there were none. The grounds were beautiful and the pool was big and it was heated so that was a plus. I would stay again if I did not have the kids with me.

The staff are friendly and helpful but the hotel (other than the lobby area) is falling apart. Water damage, peeling wallpaper, tried to keep clean but needs massive upgrading-probably hasn’t been upgraded in 40 years. Ceiling in indoor pool area is flaking and falling off, air conditioner doesn’t work well in rooms at all, and overall just gross.

The party went on until around midnight, which is when a fight broke out. The walls are paper thin and you can hear absolutely everything coming from the neighboring rooms- partying, babies crying, talking, the showers, etc. The check-in process was quick and easy. The staff at the front desk were kind and helpful. The hotel itself is very outdated. The carpeting is old and stained. It looks like the hotel has not been updated since 1980.

Hotel was very clean and well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good but restaurant staff was having a bad day and did not hide it well. Hotel staff were very pleasant. Hotel was very conveniently located and parking was well situated with plenty for all. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

All staff and management were very friendly and helpful. Loved all their smiles! The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The pools and grounds were also well maintained. The only thing we noticed (and not a complaint) is the age of the property, particularly the room bathrooms. Most other things have been updated appropriately.

The room was very dated and in need of some serious upgrades. The lighting is bad, and you have to turn on each lamp individually. The bathroom was very small and the toilet paper dispenser set up was awkward. You have to reach across from the toilet to the sink to get toilet paper. So beware if you have short arms. The shower maintained good temperature and perfect pressure. Otherwise, the room was extremely spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was very clean though. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

The room was nice but nothing amazing had a view of the roof to the pool the worse thing about the room was the keycard reader didn’t work right and tried 8 different cards and it still took 8-10 tries to get the door to unlock. Staff informed us they are changing all the locks in the building soon

I was at this Hotel for a seminar. It seems to be what keeps this Hotel in business through the winter. Check out is at 11am, common time. But check in is at 4pm. To me, this is a bit late. I usually come across 2, or 3pm as a common time. During the seminar lunch break, 1pm I tried to check in early. The clerk at check in said if I wanted to check in early, there would be a $40 fee! Now I understand if a room wasn't ready, you wait a few minutes 15-20... But that was not the case. There were rooms ready but only to the "highest bidder". Now that's a scam! I don't understand how this is an inconvenience to the hotel. If a room is ready put someone in it. I was here on business and had traveled 3hrs. that morning for a 7:30am start time. I just wanted to check in. This is a service industry. Make me happy and I'll come back. This negative interaction at check in actually tainted my view of my entire experience... Things I would have overlooked: The rooms need an update. Not just the decor, but the lamp switches are all shot. They twist and twirl between your fingers shutting on and off until you get it. The Heating unit is LOUD, it shook and rattled. It also stunk for a while when I turned it up. The dials on the heater were also worthless. It took some trial and error to get it right. One of the beds was concave. We didn't need it so no biggie. The other mattress was fine. I actually liked the pillows. No neck ache.

We loved our stay at Red Lion! All staff were friendly and professional, our room was clean, and the amenities, especially the two pools, were wonderful. We drove 7 hours for a concert that ended up getting cancelled the day after our arrival. The staff and manager understood how disappointed everyone was, and offered concert guests half price to return for the concert. I found that very thoughtful and kind. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel, and would gladly stay there again anytime. I definitely recommend Red Lion Harrisburg.

Stay was great. Room needed some updating other than that, clean. Room was 10/10 clean. Hallways 8/10. Needed to be vacuumed. Breakfast was great the 2nd day. Well worth it. 1st day, meh. Front desk. Check in and it was easy. She was nice, efficient and very friendly. Check out, the gentleman at the front desk was rude, disrespectful, arrogant, witty and just an overall waste of time to speak to. Whole experience would have been perfect if it wasn’t for him. I wish I had the patience to write about it but I’m not gonna waste my time. Overall, I’d stay the again. Great for families.

We stayed at this hotel for an event at Hersheypark stadium. I had thought there was a continental breakfast included but there was one to purchase. I wasn’t feeling well at checkout and the friendly staff was so kind to let me get some toast free of charge and offered my husband breakfast as well. They asked it there was anything else they could get me before we left. I was very thankful for the kindness and compassion they showed me and would stay here again.

The hotel is located right in the heart of shopping centers, and dining options, Chick-fil-A, 5 Guys, Target, etc, which I found perfect. The room was spacious and quiet. Red Lion is exactly what I want in a hotel! Would recommend and stay again!

I wasn’t sure what to expect but the reviews were great and it was just a short distance to the park and stadium. It’s an older hotel but don’t let that deter you. We were immediately greeted by friendly and welcoming staff, the room was clean, the temperature in the room was perfect. The morning breakfast was lovely and service was great! We will definitely be back!

Great staff. Welcoming and helpful. Good location. Hotel is clean but needs updating in the rooms. The continental breakfast for $8.00 not really worth it no protein options. Add some hard boiled eggs or omelets. I stayed one night and would recommend as a waypoint on a journey.

We had a great time staying at this hotel. The hotel had an indoor pool where my sons enjoyed swimming. The sports bar was nice and breakfast was moderately priced with a good food selection. Staffs were friendly. The best was that the location was close to all of Hershey has to offer for a family vacation. I will stay here again.

I don't do bars!!! I don't drink. Breakfast was pretty good for a hotel, BUT because I booked through HOTELS. COM I had to REQUEST free breakfasts!!! Otherwise the hotel was pretty nice as usual. This is the fourth time that I have stayed there.

Stayed at Red Lion with my two sons; overall, it was fine. The website said the restaurant was open Monday to Friday, but it was closed when we got there, which was inconvenient. Staff were excellent; 5 stars. Super respectful and helpful the entire time. Room was okay. Mattress was decent, pillows weren’t great. Nothing special, but it worked for the trip. Fun vacation overall, but the hotel was just average.

Overall our stay was good. The room and bathroom were clean, although the bathroom was on the small size and water pressure could have been better. Our first night we could hear our neighbor snoring and our last night we could hear their TV quite early in the morning. Breakfast wasn't included, so we only ate at the hotel one morning and for the price, there was nothing offered that isn't offered as complimentary at other hotels we have stayed at.

Enjoyed our stay. The pools were clean and clear. The largest outside pool of any hotel I’ve ever been to. The adult only hot tub was nice. The restaurant on site was excellent. Highly recommend!
