Stayed 2 nights

**Very Disappointing Stay — Roaches and Poor Customer Service** My stay started off fine. When I arrived, the two gentlemen at the front desk were helpful and got me checked in quickly. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. When I got to my room, I noticed there was at least a half-inch gap underneath the door. I rolled up a towel and put it under the door and didn't think much of it. I started doing some work on my computer and turned the TV on for some background noise. The TV kept turning off every 10 minutes or so, and I initially assumed it had a sleep timer turned on. I eventually realized it was the TV itself, which also had a large black line running down the middle of the screen. Again, I wasn't too concerned because I mainly wanted it on for background noise. The major issue happened later that evening after I returned from work. I took a shower and laid down, and that's when I noticed **roaches crawling around the room**. I continued seeing them throughout the night. On top of that, approximately every 20–30 minutes, there was a loud noise that sounded like someone was repeatedly beating on my door. Between the roaches and the constant noise, I was unable to sleep.I had actually paid for another night, but I decided to check out the following day because I was not comfortable staying in the room another night. I explained that I wanted to end my stay early and requested a refund for the unused night because of the condition of the room.

I didn’t realize I booked a motel and not a hotel and I thought it was the exit off I95 by the mall. I almost cancelled and went somewhere else when I pulled up and realized it wasn’t a hotel. We decided to stay and were pleasantly surprised the room and bathroom had been redone and were very clean. We were only there a few hours to sleep so we didn’t encounter many staff or other guests.
