My sister and I had 24 hrs to spend in Munich and wanted to experience as much of the city as we could. Hotel Mercure was conveniently located a few minutes from Marienplatz for authentic German food, beer and Gothic architecture. Our room was clean and cozy. The staff were inviting and great to talk to. The buffet area for coffee, tea and water being open 24/7 was an extra bonus. And the breakfast spread… we wish we had more time to sample all the cheeses, jams, and fresh baked goods. Would stay there again.

Ótimo custo benefício, hotel muito próximo a Marienplatz apenas é ruim para acesso, não tem rampa, apenas escada na entrada, o que dificulta com muitas malas. O hotel fica em uma rua lateral meio escondido. O Estacionamento não é no local, fica próximo, mas da uma boa volta.

5 stars all around. Great value. The free breakfast buffet was far better than some of the ones we had to pay 30 euros for. Great location. Close to marianplatz and old city. Close to public transport. Free minibar items was also an added value. Highly recommend this hotel.

The room was very small there was black mold in the bathroom the shower would back up constantly and not drain also the shower could not regulate hot and cold water and would spray you with scalding hot water while showering. The bed was very uncomfortable they use plastic pillows and plastic blankets that were completely and breathable so you need to be sweating or freezing cold if you took out the blanket. The breakfast was decent and the location was great. Not too sure how this hotel has such good reviews considering the comfort of the rooms was awful. Like I said the only good thing was a location.

The location was very good. The floor in the room was not cleaned at all. I walked into the room and took off my sandals, after about 5 minutes I realized that my feet felt gritty. I checked them and they were filthy. I washed them in the tub and realized that I not only had dirt on them but also shards of glass. My husband checks the the floor and found chards of glass all over the floor. I called the front desk asking for the floor to be cleaned. Housekeeping came with a hand broom - we told her to come back with a vacuum cleaner. She asked if we broke the glass - NO....we just checked in. We went for a walk and after about 10 minutes I was in pain as I had pieces of glass in my foot. We managed to get most of it out but by the time we got back to the room my sandals were soaked with blood. I walked around in pain for 4 to 5 days. The floor never did get washed. I never went in bare feet again. The breakfast was good. The location was amazing.

My son and I enjoyed our stay very much at the Mercure Hotel. The breakfast options were fantastic. The rooms were very clean. Staff was very friendly. There were complimentary drink options available to us each day in the room. Very convenient to the train and all the Marienplatz attractions.

A small but exceptionally clean room with good air conditioning. A very short stroll to Marienplatz yet in a quiet street so slept well. Large, comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and allowed us to store our luggage on the final day. The breakfast really was wonderful with so much choice and good quality food. A selection of cooked, continental or pastries with delicious fresh bread and preserves. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone on a short break to Munich as you are so close to the centre yet able to escape the noise and bustle.

Overall great place to stay if you can get past the sleeping accommodations. The bed is extremely firm and the pillows are not for me they were extremely flat and the pillow cases would not stay on them. The breakfast was very good and the staff was excellent in the breakfast dining area.

Perfect choice for business hotel situated right at town centre. Get all I need as basic business accommodation and easy access to transportation and sightseeing spots. Love the free minibar too! The room was very quiet, comfy and clean.

The hotel is very nice and well kept, located in the old city of Munich. It is a short walk to Marianplatz, the market, shopping,and Hofbrau. The staff are attentive and pleasant. Breakfast had good variety and invited fresh squeezed orange juice and honey in the comb. Highly recommended!

This hotel is tucked away on a quiet, secluded street, yet it’s just a few minutes’ walk from the Christmas markets and the train station. The building itself has a college dormitory vibe, and I was even scolded by the front desk staff for arriving so late. That said, the room was functional and comfortable, with everything in its place. The bed and pillow were quite cozy. Breakfast was absolutely sensational, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Overall, I’d give it a 10 out of 10 and would definitely recommend it.

The Mercure Hotel München Altstadt was within a few minutes walk of all of the Old Town main attractions (Marienplatz, Viktualienmarkt, shopping, restaurants, etc.). Not only is it convenient, the area felt very safe. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again (it is a much better location for the average tourist than staying in the city center). Thank you!

A small but exceptionally clean room with good air conditioning. A very short stroll to Marienplatz yet in a quiet street so slept well. Large, comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and allowed us to store our luggage on the final day. The breakfast really was wonderful with so much choice and good quality food. A selection of cooked, continental or pastries with delicious fresh bread and preserves. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone on a short break to Munich as you are so close to the centre yet able to escape the noise and bustle.

The hotel is very nice and well kept, located in the old city of Munich. It is a short walk to Marianplatz, the market, shopping,and Hofbrau. The staff are attentive and pleasant. Breakfast had good variety and invited fresh squeezed orange juice and honey in the comb. Highly recommended!

Very clean, great customer service, cute decor and great location. Breakfast was included which was surprisingly a great selection of food, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee machine (I made myself a cappuccino), baked goods. The coffee machine is also available 24/7. Everything in the mini bar was also included. They also provide slippers and shaving kit which was really nice. Hope to stay here again!

I had a 20 hour layover and went to old town area to check it out. This hotel was easy to use the train. Airport train ticket guy explained everything and made it is and worry free. 7 euro each way. 10 minute walk to hotel from Marianplatz station stop. What a view when you come up from the train. This hotel had great friendly staff, outstanding breakfast, close to all the coolest sites, restaurants, pubs, shopping. Wish I could have stayed another day. Bed was comfy.
