Harbor View Inn

This is an older property that has been completely refurbished on the interior. You do have a bit of highway noise but barely noticeable with the windows closed. Our only complaint would be that the walls are very thin. In our 1st room you could hear the person next door VERY clearly. We were moved to room 17 which was perfect. Ask for that 1. :-) Also note that there is no elevator. Would stay again.

The parkign lot was safe and secure. The fireplace was VERY warm. We had to open the windows if we had the fireplace on. Bed was a little too firm for my liking.

Nice spot. Clean, large room with two queen beds and close to restaurants and ocean of Half Moon Bay. Family and I had a great time! Cheers!

They have renovated the rooms with modern furniture and laminate flooring, which is always ideal when you are staying near the beach. the office is tiny and is cramped with too many people. The woman who checked us in was very sweet and let us know she had upgraded our room to 2 queens (we originally booked one queen, and it was me and my young son) she also let us know it was upstairs and there are no elevators. It’s a smaller Inn, maybe 20 rooms, I wasn’t expecting an elevator but if you have a lot of luggage that’s something to note. Or we could have a room on the bottom floor and my son shouted “Bottom floor!” He didn’t want to carry luggage upstairs. The room was nice with a wall mock fireplace, we had a partial view of the harbor and ocean which is located across highway 1. There was a microwave,refrigerator,flat screen tv. The bathroom in this room had a rainwater shower head and cool blue lights. The bed was the most comfortable bed in the many places I’ve stayed, still on the firmer side for me but comfortable. There is coffee, juice, and tea offered in the office, though they shut off the juice machine after 11, but you can still get coffee, mocha, hot chocolate, tea from the machine. No breakfast offered here but right next door is a coffee shop/breakfast We would definitely stay again. Things to note: Parking can be a little tight when the Inn is full. Rooms downstairs are noisy if people are staying above you.

Great over all, just a small parking space in the back made it a ti y bit hard but could look past it because everting else was great.

Had one-night stay at this Inn. It was beyond my expectation. I thought there would be a lot of loud traffic noises but turned out not. I had a 2nd-floor corner room. It was QUIET. The window faces the highway but the sound insulation seems well made. The sound of the cars were minimized. The room has a heat pump instead of a window air conditioner. The heat pump was much more quieter in my opinion. Plus they provide earplugs, which worked really well. The road had few traffic at night. With the earplugs on I had a very good sleep. Other things, the room is spacious. The bedding was very good. Bathroom was very clean. Power outlets on both sides of the beds. Very convenient. By the way there is no elevator but just stairs. But it is a two-story building.

Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Smaller hotel but lots of local shops and restaurants both walking and driving distance. Rooms have been renovated. Nice semi enclosed parking lot for customers.

Place was nice. Had some issues in room. I let management know about. Wish the front desk are would be open earlier for the coffee. They don’t unlock doors until 7:30-8am.

My bad for not checking precise location of this Inn. I usually confirm before booking but I slipped up. This Inn is on the East side of Cabrillo Hwy - therefore you look across 4 lanes of traffic to see parking lots to see Harbor. I should have known when checking into room and finding ear plugs next to soap, shampoo etc that traffic noise would be a problem It is. After being out all day on second day we came back to find room had not been cleaned. I asked reception who told me if I didn't put out the door hanger requesting service then the cleaners would not enter. Given no one had told us at check in, we were a little surprised. We were able to get clean towels. Good general location for hiking and restaurants. About 5 miles N of Half Moon Bay in Granada. Prefer to stay in HMB. Lessons learned.

We had a terrible experience staying in this place. Room was dirty hairs around the table, smelly room with used pillow cases and sheets, we were so disappointed we as soon as we entered the room and saw these mess. I was hearing dog barking most of the time from next room. Totally opposite of what we were expecting for that high pay with that bad condition . Ruined our trip.

The ants took over. The room was great otherwise. Definitely not an ocean front or even ocean view, but a nice room

Very clean, and clearly renovated. The paint, floors, and everything was new. Private parking. Very convenient to scenic spots and restaurants. Don’t expect breakfast but wonderful eats right next door. Yes all the rooms have a water view but there is a 4 way intersection and piers between the hotel and the water.

We had a great time with a clean room and nice looking room.

My recent stay was unfortunately quite disappointing and certainly didn't justify the price. While the room could be described as "cleanish," I was immediately put off by sand in the bed, which is hardly what one expects from a hotel. The pervasive and extremely strong smell of their deodorizer/cleaning solution was overwhelming and unpleasant throughout the stay. Adding to the discomfort were the paper-thin walls. I could clearly hear my neighbors using their washroom, and nighttime brought even more intrusive sounds. The washroom itself presented its own set of issues. The automatic lights were highly sensitive, triggering every time I moved in the room. Even more frustrating, they turned off while I was in the shower, leaving me in the dark. To top it off, there was no soap in the dispensers. Finally, the bed was not very comfortable, making for a poor night's sleep. Overall, there were very few positives to salvage what was a pretty pricey and unsatisfying experience.

Stayed for one night to go to an event in Half Moon Bay. The location was 10 minutes from HMB, all rooms have windows facing the water. Good food options nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nicely updated. Walls are paper thin. Luckily I'm a heavy sleeper and no one was too raucous - but TV and conversations could be heard. The fireplace in the wall was a nice touch. The unit is high up and the switch is on the top, so not obvious if you're short like me. Otherwise, it was nice overall and met our needs.

The room was very nice. Very clean and everything updated and new. We had a large room with window seat, gas fireplace and fresh and soft white robes. Outside of hotel doesn’t reflect what’s inside, but the inside (your room) is the most important.

Loved our room. Newly remodeled and very cute. I really liked that there was plenty of lighting. Especially the bathroom lighting. The refrigerator was not working in our room. The property was less than 5 minutes from the harbor which had several good restaurants. We were very happy with it overall. Plenty of parking and it was free.

It was a good bed and overall nice room. Wi-Fi was weak and tv was difficult to navigate.

Nobody should stay here. The walls are so thin I could hear snoring, coughing, talking, etc. all night. It is in a good location, and the room is nice, but the acoustically transparent walls make the room uninhabitable.

Its very nice. The walls are thin. I wanted to say bless you to the guy who sneezed in the room next to me. Other than that its great! They do supply ear plugs.

Thin walls, we could hear our neighbor snoring all night. We could also hear occasional noise traffic from the highway. The ‘fireplace’ was just a wall decoration, not for heat. Room was clean but room was too warm, at least for my husband.

I don't usually write reviews but I actually felt at home during our stay at Harbor View Inn. I highly recommend it. We got a king bedroom for our weekend getaway. The room was clean and bright with high celling. It has simple decorations with a chandelier and an electric fireplace make the place feels cozy. We left the windows open and we got ocean breeze all day long. It was very relaxing.

Room was spacious & clean. Beds comfortable. Great to have a microwave & mini fridge. Loved the little seating area near the window. Staff were very nice. Coffee machine in lobby was a real treat too.

The hotel manager was wonderful, and the rooms were beautifully renovated and very clean. Their free coffee was delicious as well!

I would call directly to the hotel to confirm the size room. I listed 3 occupants and was given a room for 2. The hotel showed what they received from Hotels.com and it didn’t match. The Inn was clean, safe and Grace (the hotel worker) was as friendly as can be. She did all she could to make the pallet I had to make on the floor comfortable.

The room was clean and well furnished. It was obvious that updates have been made. The bed was comfortable and both soft and firm pillows were provided. I was there for 10 days and the staff was friendly and helpful as I received several packages during my stay. Towels and trash were changed every couple of days. Minor issues were the shower doors (rollers loose), and shower water flow (takes twice as long as usual to rinse off)

Checkin was not the best. We waited 30 min before anybody showed up at the desk. No good

Harborview inn is a great location. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to take care of the guests. Room was spotless and decorated very well. I did supply foam ear plugs in the downstairs room because you do hear the people walking around upstairs. Didn't really bother me but if it would bother you you might want to request I'm upstairs room. It was a great value and I will be back.

Receptionist was very nice. Room next door hosted a party until 4am. No one on site to address the noise problem. Room wasn’t cleaned as requested.

Very clean. Super friendly staff. Restaurants close by. Everything was great except for the people upstairs dragging furniture across the floor at midnight.

Great place to stay. Walking distance to the harbor. Room was warm when we got there took a while to cool it off. It’s close to the road so you do hear that noise. Bed was so comfortable. But even with all that we would stay again.

Great location. Within walking distance to restaurants, beaches. Comfortable bed, my husband tosses and turns constantly, with this bed I never felt him move. Would definitely stay here again.

Across from the Pillar Point Harbor and very walkable to the many restaurants in the area. It was pretty quiet and the room was clean and nicely decorated. Not far from the areas attractions.

This was a perfect place to stay in Half Moon Bay. The room was nicely updated, clean and beds were super comfy! My favorite thing about this Inn was that it was right next door to The Press which served coffee and breakfast and was so adorable! Perfect place to stay!

OK, this is a great little hotel. Honestly, my room looked almost brand new. Also, it has the obligatory one cup coffee maker, but it also had a kettle which I used to make my own grind coffee. Included in the room, microwave, mini refrigerator, and a room safe. I really had an enjoyable experience and have no qualms recommending this to anyone else. No breakfast is included, but next-door is a great little café called The Press.

I really enjoyed my stay at Harbor View Inn. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and in great condition. Everything is modern and I especially enjoyed the electric fireplace on the wall. The location is ideal- walking distance to the beach, liquor store, small market and restaurants. Highly recommended and I will definitely return!

Comfortable room and bed. Conveniently located next door to a local breakfast favorite and across the highway (walkable) from several restaurants as well as a portion of the coastal walkway.

Great location. Easy 5-10 minute walk to many restaurants.Nicely remodeled with no carpet. Will stay again. Must try Press for breakfast right next door.
