Very nice hotel and clean room. Great pool area. Free parking is available next to the hotel.

Great location, friendly and professional staff however, some of the facilities were underwhelming for the cost of stay. Outdoor pool and seating areas were great. Indoor pool was more for families and children, "Turkish bath" was unavailable and appeared to be a small steam room squashed into the corner of the room. The outdoor and indoor pool / sauna are not well connected which requires you to walk through the hotel lobby wet and in a swimming costume. If there is a better route there should be clear signs. Overall, we had a great stay. Facilties could've been better for the price of stay, with the location I enjoyed swimming in the sea more.

The property had wonderful facilities, the staff were super welcoming and always had a smile on their face. Breakfast was everything you would want from omelettes to fresh fruit and yogurt. The pool area had plenty of space and the pool is beautiful. I couldn’t recommend staying at this hotel more. Location is great to the town and local beaches. A taxi to the Lagos town cost us €2.50. We also had an electric car that could be charged for the price of €12 which is exceptional. Thank you for our stay!

The gym is lacking. The surrounding dining areas are not within walking distance for most people

Beautiful hotel.. spa with sauna n steam room was awesome after a day tour. Loved that you could walk into town and to the beach.

Property is new. One building is finished while the other is complete but still being furnished. This was not an issue. Self park garage is present below with daily rate. Clean hotel since new construction. The hotel is in a nice quiet area but is still being built out so there are some empty plots nearby. Only 15min walk to Ponte piedade so that is nice.

Hotellet var väldigt fräscht och det märktes att det var nybyggt. All personal var väldigt trevliga och hjälpsamma. Bra frukost med omelett station, mimosa, stort utbud av frukt och bröd, pålägg, yoghurt etc. Kaffemaskinen höll inte måttet då det var med pulverkaffe. Fräscht poolområde med bra solbäddar och tillgång till poolhanddukar varje dag, dock var poolen väldigt kall. Rummet var fint inredd och inte alls lyhört, dock var sängen för hård för vår smak. Bra städning varje dag. Vi gillade läget då det var nära till flera fina stränder och natur, endast 12 minuter gång till gamla stan. Gymmet var litet och hade behövt bättre luftkonditionering och bättre påfyllning med vatten. Överlag var vi väldigt nöjda med hotellupplevelsen och skulle rekommendera detta hotell, främst då det var väldigt fräscht, fina ytor och som sagt var personalen 10/10.

This property is brand new so everything is fresh and clean. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. It was very quiet and a peaceful stay. Hotel has amenities such as a pool and spa like sauna and steam room, Which was a nice getaway. Breakfast is English breakfast so if that’s not your cup of beans prepared to eat elsewhere with not much vegetarian options. Not sure the “Sea view “ rooms are worth the extra price as you may just be staring at a dirt patch! Would stay again and recommend to friends!

Wunderschönes neues Hotel mit einer super Lage. Das Hotel und die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Das Frühstück schmeckt sehr gut. Die Mitarbeiter des Hotels sind äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es gibt viele sichere gratis Parkplätze außerhalb der Hotelanlage. Wir können das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

The Editory considers itself a 4.5 star hotel. I can’t see how this is possible. The photos of the views from on the website and Expedia do not match reality. When I expressed my disappointment, I was offered to change my room the following day but was warned it was the same view, just higher up. The woman helping me and I agreed it was not worth the inconvenience of changing rooms. In addition, in the room, there is mold and discoloration in the shower. On the tv guest services menu, it explains the mini bar is stocked and a price list was in the room for reference. Neither is true. There is no list and the mini bar was empty. When I shared this with the front desk, the woman challenged me saying the mini bar is only there to store your personal refreshments. When I told her about what the guest information was on the television, she was surprised snd completely unaware. With regards to the poolside restaurant. There is not enough seating to accommodate the size of the hotel. We had two servers. One amazing, the other abrupt and confused. When we asked for the bill, we were met with “Just wait a minute” and when the bill did arrive, it was wrong. I had hopes that the Editory could become my Algarve escape as I live in Portugal. I would not return unless management has a basic hospitality overhaul and is willing to be transparent about the construction site that surrounds the property.

The hotel was a good location, close to the beach and a short uber to old town. We were out most of the afternoon and when we returned around 6:00 pm, our room still hadn't been cleaned. They said our room was next, but we needed to get ready for dinner. The hotel also ran out of pool towels which I have never had happen before. I think this was listed as a 4.5 star hotel, but it's more like a 3 star basic nothing special hotel.

We had a nice stay at the hotel, it’s new and big. Good room with a nice view. However there is some room for improvement for the hotel. We experienced several times that the housekeeper didn’t remove used glasses from our room, or replaced used towels. They also took one of our robes when we were two in the room. We tried ordering room service one night by calling the front desk but no one answered so we had to go down to the reception area to order food. The restrooms on the ground floor in the bar area were at times quite dirty.

Great location, short walk to multiple beaches and 15 minute walk to the main strip. Very safe, very clean, amazing breakfast. The comments about waiting a bit for breakfast etc are valid, but it’s a vacation, typically you would wait under ten minutes. Would recommend to the hotel management to buy one more coffee machine or have a carafe of coffee, would increase table tuns decreasing wait times.

Very nice, newly built hotel - it’s 3 months old at the time of writing this review. Check in was good and our initial room was lovely. Nice view, large by European standards and comfortable. The location is not ideal as it appears they are tearing down some older buildings and erecting new hotels in the area. There are some nice restaurants in walking distance though. In the evening there was water leaking from the ceiling of our bathroom. We asked for Another room and were field the hotel was fully booked. They did clean a lesser room for us to spend that first evening and then moved us a room of similar level but not as big or well outfitted as our first superior room. Not seamless and not without frustration. The lady who intervened at reception was much more helpful and understanding than a

Nice property! Only problem is the gave us twin beds and I was supposed to get the queen. Other than that it was good.

I stayed for 5 nights, I got there when they had just opened, everything is new. The staff were lovely. The hotel is about 7-9 minutes walk to Paris Dona, you can walk to town in 20 minutes. There is an indoor pool with sauna and steam room as well as a large out door pool. There was a buffet breakfast which had a good selection, only issue is the hot food was cold. The rooms are rapacious with fluffy bath robes, safe and fridge. You can request to have you breakfast in your room as well. Overall I will be coming back due to how affordable the hotel is and how close it is to everything.

Very nice comfortable room with a very large, sun splashed balcony looking out toward to sea.

Hotel has only been open for a few weeks and is immaculately clean. Staff are good - notable exception being two men on reception when we arrived who completely ignored us and carried on a conversation between themselves ( presumably not realising we could understand), no offer of help with luggage. Another member of staff did then come and deal with check in. Rooms on the small side but have everything a guest could need including adequate storage. Very comfortable beds and good quality bedding. Good soundproofing between rooms Area around the hotel is still being built on - but this is true of much of Lagos which is undergoing a lot of expansion/ renovation. Hotel grounds/ pool area nicely planted with screening plants but - obviously - these have yet to grow. Very busy sometimes at breakfast - went early one day and it was a very pleasant experience, late another and it was chaotic with queues for the coffee machine which were so long that it wasn’t worth waiting. So the experience at breakfast depends upon timing. The hotel was fully booked on 2/4 days we were there but even on those days there were plenty of available loungers with mix of sunny and shaded positions. The pool is huge and catches the sun all day. Aqua fit class one afternoon was an unexpected, very enjoyable, bonus. Easy walking distance into town for very wide range of eating/ drinking options and nearby beaches. Overall I would love to stay again.

Pedi um quarto triplo e a cama extra (sofá-cama) estava horrível. Muito desconfortável, duro e pequeno. A estrutura do hotel é nova e ótima. Mas o café da manhã deixou a desejar.

Good location. Fabulous room. Like a 1 bed apartment in Central London lol. Lived the wet shiwer room and sunken bathtub. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel bar makes the best drinks. Pool area is sooo nice at night. Overall very good stau Will be returning.

We had booked months prior when the hotel first opened as was worried when I read the reviews but we had a pleasant comfortable stay and would not hesitate to stay again. Rooms are big enough especially by European standards. We had a sea view room which, as stated by other reviewers looked over an empty lot. This is not the hotels fault and we were able to watch the sunrise over the ocean every morning. It is a 5 minute walk to the Ponta de Piedade boardwalk and Praia do Camilo. The breakfast was the best we had at a hotel in Portugal with a large selection of hot and cold items including mimosas and an omelette station. The pool area is beautiful as well with many comfortable loungers and Bali beds. The only thing I found that could improve would be service. We ate at the restaurant late on the night of our arrival. It seemed that only certain staff could bring menus, take orders and bring the bill. We were very hungry since we hadn’t eaten since the am but I feel it could be more efficient. The food however was excellent. The other inconsistency would be in room housekeeping. We travelled with friends who had a complementary bottle of water every day after their room was tidied. We only received the initial day and one other but only after I requested it. We were there for 5 days and would have appreciated the bottle per day. We would stay here again!

Beautiful hotel but 1 star service

Staff is not very helpful or has any hospitality training. They seem they don’t want to be working at the property. Sad!

The hotel was beautiful and very clean. Everything was perfect - the room, the views, the breakfast, the service from the staff. We had a few issues trying to find an authentic restaurant for dinner one evening and Mario was really helpful. He organised the bookings for us and took care of any challenges we had. We would definitely stay here again and recommend!

The hotel is wonderful, very nice balcony with beautiful view of the ocean. Rides on Bolt were quick and usually about 5.00 to get to Old Town where everything is happening. The problem we have with the hotel is they are very understaffed in the dining room. Their system leaves the hostess stand unattended every time she/he seats someone and gets them water, etc. the menu is almost the same every night with slight variations. It also seems that when drink is ordered, the wait person has to walk out of the restaurant to a bar across the lobby, leaving them off the floor. That being said about dinner, the breakfast seems to be better staffed but it is a buffet. The same applies to the hostess stand being left unattended. If you don’t generally eat at the hotel restaurant, I would recommend it for everything else.

Great aesthetics but in a new area so not much around in terms of restaurants. The beach is close so that’s nice and nice sunset and sunrise views feom the cliffs nearby. Welcoming staff was not as great. And no one helped me with my 3 suitcases. Long wait for check in and also breakfast.

First Class service

Property is fairly new and modern. Room was decent would have liked a king size bed and more clothes storage. Pool is not heat but beautiful nonetheless. My biggest knock was the unfriendly bartenders in the evening in the lounge. They were not at all engaging or friendly.

Such a beautiful and new hotel. Very close to the beach. The sea view facing room is very calming especially the balcony provides relaxing vibe. The breakfast was delicious and mimosas every morning is the cherry on top!

Brilliant hotel in a great location, close to both the old town centre and beaches.

This hotel is beautiful, with amazing service and a stunning pool! The breakfast offered plenty of variety, including healthy options, and everything was well prepared. The only downside is that it’s a bit of a walk to the old town and not very close to restaurants—but since we enjoy walking, it worked perfectly for us. Overall, a beautiful place to stay, and we’d definitely come back!

It's a new property. The breakfast was excellent. A little distance from old town, but Uber is easy and cheap. Very quiet area and walking distance to Ponta da Piedade cliffs

Excellent new hotel. Very friendly staff, nice breakfast - pool area amazing. Was even lent an umbrella to go to the beach! Drinks and food a bit on the expensive side!

Pros: Excellent location to beaches and old town on foot! Nice facility! Nice breakfast buffet in spite of coffee machines using powdered milk. Cons: pool is very cold; restaurant for dinner is fixed menu only and is pricey. Peak times have breakfast buffet lineups and reception very often has lineups perhaps due to being understaffed for such a big hotel.

Beautiful brand new hotel with amazing views and facilities. Pool area is 5 star resort standard. - Breakfast needs minor upgrades ( fresh orange juice! ) You are in the Algarve!! - Dinner ambience is really lacking (lighting too bright, table settings need to be upgraded … it’s the same as breakfast buffet!
