Had the most amazing stat and if I come back to Lagos, I’ll be sure to come back. Food was great, staff were attentive and friendly. It’s about a 45 min walk into Lagos town centre, but you can Uber for around €4 each way. There was constantly entertainment in the hotel but we did not see that, and the drinks list for all inclusive was substantial. My girlfriend said this was the best hotel she stayed in. Definitely recommended. Oh, and you get a welcome drink on arrival, no matter what time you arrive.

Big spacious property - does not feel crowded Rooms are big and space, although the carpets need replacing. Good pool for kids, good to have an indoor pool too! There was a gym but we didn’t utilise it. Very close to the beach, and easy access to board walk that takes up right up to the Marina. Breakfast and dinner was buffet style and plentiful, however disappointed with the quality - tastes average, food was luke warm eg taco shells were soft. Dinner started at 7.30pm and breakfast at 7am which is a bit late for us with a toddler + with jet lag. Reception was casual. Would be nice to be oriented to the hotel by reception staff including activities that are on. Only found out about the activities on a board near the restaurant which is 1 level below the reception.

Hot tub must be scheduled to be able to use ahead of time. Buffet food was mediocre at best. They tell you at the front desk room service is included when you check-in but when you check in will charge you for all room service. Pools all close at 7pm. Bar closes at 11 you can even sit in the lobby past midnight.

The mini bar is not very well stocked. Although I will say, I don’t know what it was supposed to be stocked with. Because I paid for all inclusive I was expecting a little bit more in that area. Other than that, the staff were great.

Location was good. Quality of food (breakfast & dinner) very good. Service from most, but not all of the staff. Carpet in hallways definitely needs replacing. For the price should not be charged $1.50 for each extra coffee pods. Would be nice if they had a shuttle to transport guests to town, as it was about 30 minute to walk there on the boardwalk.

The Iberostar is situated across the Road from Meia Praio, a 5 kilometre Pristine beach. The hotel is very clean & has 2 lovely clean pools & a kids pool as well. It is approximately 2.5 kilometres to Lagos town centre. Our room was cleaned & restocked daily. Our room had an Ocean view& a nice balcony. We were very disappointed on the quality of the Bed& pillows, which were 2 Twins pushed together at different heights vs 1 king bed as expected, pillows were subpar& lumpy. The food, buffet is fresh & delicious with a wide variety of choices to please all guests at both breakfast & dinner. The staff in all areas are professional & well versed in Hospitality services. The big negative, we booked 1/2 board option, as we had booked several tours throughout the Algarve & wanted to experience local food & wine. The hotel constantly tried to upgrade us to an all inclusive plan& when we declined they began openly & loudly asking to see our hotel access bracelet’s& confirming that the colour was not an all inclusive option began charging us daily for plain drinking water at dinner& making us sign this on a tablet during our dinner proof that we had drank water& charged us $5.30 for this every meal at Checkout We felt openly discussed at each meal that we didn’t order wine or an upgrade drink The indoor pool closes at 7pm so we were never able to use it, otherwise we would have swam after or before our dinner. All in all we would return here.

Information was not given nor was facility amenities explained. We anticipated less personalization from a bigger resort but we felt invisible here. We had to ask for what we wanted as no staff were at the pool to take drink orders. The drink menus were limited with options. Food was delicious..was it worth the extra all inclusive cost for just a few days? Debatable. Breakfast starts very late, at 730am, so we didnt even get to enjoy anything on the last day since we had an early flight. Resort was like a maze with going up to go down to the same floor as your room. Was just extra confusing. I go on vacation to think less. Parking cost $7 for the vehicle to sit outside the main lobby door? For what purpose? It didnt go towards security to watch our vehicle. This place will nickle and dime you. Housekeeping didnt come each day until late afternoon. Our biggest peeve was that there was only one door that had to be used for either the shower or the toilet room. We had to strategically decide who was getting the door if we used both simultaneously. We probably wont return.

Hôtel magnifique. Panneau d'affichage dans le hall avec les différentes activités inscrites sur la semaine (sport, animations, informations etc..). Superbe piscine intérieur avec une salle de sport très fonctionnelle. Petit dejeuner et diner délicieux avec des plats variés. Le personnel est souriant et à notre écoute

The staff was welcoming, the room was comfortable. We had dinner one evening at the restaurant , the food was good and there was a lot of choice. I was disappointed that there was no hot tub on the property. We were looking forward to use the indoor pool thinking it was warm… The carpet is getting outdated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved the evening entertainment.

Lo único que no me gustó es el horario demasiado flexible de limpieza de las habitaciones hasta las 6 de la tarde si te vas fuera del hotel durante el día y vuelve para echarte un rato no han arreglado todavía tu habitación... Y por otro lado conoció el Hotel hace cinco años y en cinco años se ha estropeado mucho.... La moqueta sin limpiar a fondo... Por lo demás muy bien sobre todo destacó el personal muy atento con los clientes

Stairways and hallways had food lying on the floor for days. Neighbor’s room service food sat outside their room for at least 24 hours. Hallways are carpeted and smelly and hot. Staff was unfriendly (especially at the pool) and u helpful. Hotel was oddly designed and difficult to get around. Our room had no light in the toilet area and also no privacy for people using the toilet or the shower (they both had the same door!) Definitely not a 5 star facility.

This is a five star property? I don’t think so. The hotel was dirty, the rugs disgusting looking and the staff not helpful. I was only there two nights and the elevator wasn’t working for most of one of the days! The rugs in the hallways are stained and filthy looking as were the rugs in my room # 4. When I spoke to the woman at the front desk she said I was not the first one to complain about that room. Then why still book it??? She acted liked she didn’t care and said her manager would call back, Carla left me a message calling me the wrong name and said she left a message on my room phone, too but she didn’t! For the price that I paid I was very disappointed and dissatisfied. I was also on floor zero and when the elevators didn’t work that was quite a hike! I am sure there are many other hotels in Lagos that we could have chosen with nicer facilities and a helpful stafg

The overall experience at this property was excellent. The public areas are all beautiful and well-maintained and seem to be updated very well. The buffet breakfast was phenomenal, with a wonderful choice of foods as well as options at the omelette station. The only criticism is the hallways and rooms are in desperate need of updating carpeting and areas showed terrible signs of being bleached by the sun, stains, and they look like they haven’t been cleaned in a very long time. The rooms Were very nice but very dated and also had stained and dirty carpeting. A little surprising for such a high-end resort. Again, the overall experience was excellent, but I would definitely deduct one star for the rooms.

This hotel was a big disappointment especially for the amount of money it cost! The room was disgusting. Our sheets were ripped, there was never enough towels or toilet paper given. The housekeeper dropped her name badge and my husband was stuck with the pin from it in the middle of the night on the bed😔.The room had absolutely zero character. There were no pictures on the wall. The bathroom situation was ridiculous…the same door was used to close the cell-like shower and the toilet area, ugh!!! The carpeting in the hallway needed to be changed probably years ago. It was musty and dirty. The only saving grace was that the breakfast was good & the pool area was very nice. I will never stay at an Iberostar again. Total waste of a lot of money.

We stayed at Iberostar Lagos in late July with our extended family — 8 of us, including grandparents, kids (ages 7 and 9), and adults with different dietary needs — and it exceeded expectations. The location is unbeatable: right above Meia Praia, with stunning ocean views and easy beach access. You’re close enough to enjoy the energy of Lagos town (just a 5–10 minute drive) but far enough to feel relaxed and quiet. Rooms were modern, clean, and spacious. Loved the water stations all throughout the hotel. The staff was absolutely fantastic!!! Carolina, the manager, was always available and helped us with restaurant recommendations and planning our day. Top notch! Ismael and Anna were excellent from the check in process to any questions we had in between. Paulo and the entire bar staffed attended all our drink needs and were very friendly. The kids loved the kids club and the staff there (2 lovely ladies). Breakfast buffet in the morning was lovely. Shalini at the egg station was extremely nice and a great chef. Service was friendly, and the hotel had a mellow, unpretentious vibe. The pools (indoor and outdoor) were clean and not too crowded, and our kids loved taking a quick dip in the mornings. Iberostar Lagos hits the mark. Would definitely return!

Stairways and hallways had food lying on the floor for days. Neighbor’s room service food sat outside their room for at least 24 hours. Hallways are carpeted and smelly and hot. Our room had no light in the toilet area and also no privacy for people using the toilet or the shower (they both had the same door!) Definitely not a 5 star facility.

We booked a sea view room but did not receive one. The view from our room was far from what was promised and certainly not reflective of a 5-star resort. It was a view of trees and a volleyball net. At check-in, the staff positioned our room as a “free upgrade,” but there was nothing upgraded about it—the view was worse than the standard rooms with no sea view. We had to request to be moved. We also requested a king bed, but were given two doubles pushed together. The food options, especially at the snack bar, were very disappointing—limited, often unavailable, and the quality was closer to movie theatre food than a luxury resort. Between 4-6pm you can’t get food anywhere other than room service. Poolside drink service was nearly nonexistent and very slow when available. The overall property did not meet 5-star standards. The hallways were hot with no air conditioning (only in rooms), the brown carpets were heavily stained, and the attention to detail across the resort was lacking. Although they did a good job with the renovations in the lobby and good onsite parking options the hotel didnt wow us. This is definitely not a true 5-star experience. I’ve stayed at many 5-star resorts, and this doesn’t compare. At best, I would rate it 3.5–4 stars. If you’re looking for genuine luxury and service, I may recommend looking elsewhere.

Big spacious property - does not feel crowded Rooms are big and space, although the carpets need replacing. Good pool for kids, good to have an indoor pool too! There was a gym but we didn’t utilise it. Very close to the beach, and easy access to board walk that takes up right up to the Marina. Breakfast and dinner was buffet style and plentiful, however disappointed with the quality - tastes average, food was luke warm eg taco shells were soft. Dinner started at 7.30pm and breakfast at 7am which is a bit late for us with a toddler + with jet lag. Reception was casual. Would be nice to be oriented to the hotel by reception staff including activities that are on. Only found out about the activities on a board near the restaurant which is 1 level below the reception.

We had a fabulous time at the hotel. The room was perfect and very clean, all new fixtures and a rain shower that was amazing. The full breakfast every morning was also better than we expected . Located across from the beach with a nice walkway and Lagos was only a few miles away . We are already planing a trip for next year . We stayed on the 6th floor and had a nice sea view

The overall experience at this property was excellent. The public areas are all beautiful and well-maintained and seem to be updated very well. The buffet breakfast was phenomenal, with a wonderful choice of foods as well as options at the omelette station. The only criticism is the hallways and rooms are in desperate need of updating carpeting and areas showed terrible signs of being bleached by the sun, stains, and they look like they haven’t been cleaned in a very long time. The rooms Were very nice but very dated and also had stained and dirty carpeting. A little surprising for such a high-end resort. Again, the overall experience was excellent, but I would definitely deduct one star for the rooms.

This hotel was a big disappointment especially for the amount of money it cost! The room was disgusting. Our sheets were ripped, there was never enough towels or toilet paper given. The housekeeper dropped her name badge and my husband was stuck with the pin from it in the middle of the night on the bed😔.The room had absolutely zero character. There were no pictures on the wall. The bathroom situation was ridiculous…the same door was used to close the cell-like shower and the toilet area, ugh!!! The carpeting in the hallway needed to be changed probably years ago. It was musty and dirty. The only saving grace was that the breakfast was good & the pool area was very nice. I will never stay at an Iberostar again. Total waste of a lot of money.

The Iberostar is situated across the Road from Meia Praio, a 5 kilometre Pristine beach. The hotel is very clean & has 2 lovely clean pools & a kids pool as well. It is approximately 2.5 kilometres to Lagos town centre. Our room was cleaned & restocked daily. Our room had an Ocean view& a nice balcony. We were very disappointed on the quality of the Bed& pillows, which were 2 Twins pushed together at different heights vs 1 king bed as expected, pillows were subpar& lumpy. The food, buffet is fresh & delicious with a wide variety of choices to please all guests at both breakfast & dinner. The staff in all areas are professional & well versed in Hospitality services. The big negative, we booked 1/2 board option, as we had booked several tours throughout the Algarve & wanted to experience local food & wine. The hotel constantly tried to upgrade us to an all inclusive plan& when we declined they began openly & loudly asking to see our hotel access bracelet’s& confirming that the colour was not an all inclusive option began charging us daily for plain drinking water at dinner& making us sign this on a tablet during our dinner proof that we had drank water& charged us $5.30 for this every meal at Checkout We felt openly discussed at each meal that we didn’t order wine or an upgrade drink The indoor pool closes at 7pm so we were never able to use it, otherwise we would have swam after or before our dinner. All in all we would return here.

To start this review our experience could be 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ however the front desk person by the name Rita ruined our experience at the front desk during check in process! She had a terrible attitude and answered all our questions in NO and rude manner. When we asked her why she is so rude she said we better talk to the manager and literally went hiding in the back! The front desk manager Luis and the rest of the staff Oleg and another gentleman were really nice and accommodating! The hotel is clean, the rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable and the food is delicious with huge selection of traditional and modern cuisines! The beach is near by and pristine clean! The water at the pool is little cold in October but it’s manageable the lady with entertainment team who led water activities had an awesome energy! Everything was excellent but the front desk experience was unacceptable!

The mini bar is not very well stocked. Although I will say, I don’t know what it was supposed to be stocked with. Because I paid for all inclusive I was expecting a little bit more in that area. Other than that, the staff were great.

Terrible customer service. Had a broken bed and they tried flipping the mattress and covering it up with a topper even AFTER I said we needed a new room. Then when they finally gave us a new room, we got 2 single beds even though we paid for a king. No apology, no communication. Just an employee taking us to the new one. Horrible service for a “5” star hotel. More like a 3.5 at best

Information was not given nor was facility amenities explained. We anticipated less personalization from a bigger resort but we felt invisible here. We had to ask for what we wanted as no staff were at the pool to take drink orders. The drink menus were limited with options. Food was delicious..was it worth the extra all inclusive cost for just a few days? Debatable. Breakfast starts very late, at 730am, so we didnt even get to enjoy anything on the last day since we had an early flight. Resort was like a maze with going up to go down to the same floor as your room. Was just extra confusing. I go on vacation to think less. Parking cost $7 for the vehicle to sit outside the main lobby door? For what purpose? It didnt go towards security to watch our vehicle. This place will nickle and dime you. Housekeeping didnt come each day until late afternoon. Our biggest peeve was that there was only one door that had to be used for either the shower or the toilet room. We had to strategically decide who was getting the door if we used both simultaneously. We probably wont return.

Every single bit of our stay was perfect! Location - ability to safely and comfortably walk everywhere! Proximity to beach was amazing and the boardwalk throughout Lagos was brilliant! From check-in staff ( amazing ) to restaurant and bar service to housekeeping, couldn't have excpected more, truly. Namely Rita, Yuday, Vitor, Rodrigo, Melissa, Rafael, Natasha but the entire staff was brilliant - thank you Iberostar!

Top Hotel in einer tollen Lage. Hier bekommt man das rundum Paket. Das Hotel und die großen Zimmer sind sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Großer Wohlfühlfaktor. Frühstück und Abendessen ist als Buffet und sehr abwechslungsreich. Tolle regionale und internationale Gerichte. Der lange und breite Strand ist sehr sauber und zu Fuß in nur 2 min. zu erreichen. Es gibt zwar keine deutschen Fernsehprogramme aber dafür reichlich amerikanische Sender was für uns kein Problem darstellte. Auf jedenfalls 5 Sterne.

Nice hotel, a quick drive (15 min) to Lagos town and top area beaches. Enjoyed the large half board which had many food options. Facilities itself were clean and modern and staff was very friendly. Room was spacious. A quick walk across the street to the beach (can rent chairs from independent bar/restaurant, not affiliated with hotel). Beach is very nice but not one of the top in the area as not near cliffs/grottos so did not spend much time there. The hotel itself was great but the immediate area around the hotel is somewhat rundown/ not developed. The hotel may benefit from additional trees/plants to mask the surrounding area. For example, we paid for a beach view which we received but the vibe was somewhat tarnished by the street and parking lot.

We stayed at Iberostar Lagos in late July with our extended family — 8 of us, including grandparents, kids (ages 7 and 9), and adults with different dietary needs — and it exceeded expectations. The location is unbeatable: right above Meia Praia, with stunning ocean views and easy beach access. You’re close enough to enjoy the energy of Lagos town (just a 5–10 minute drive) but far enough to feel relaxed and quiet. Rooms were modern, clean, and spacious. Loved the water stations all throughout the hotel. The staff was absolutely fantastic!!! Carolina, the manager, was always available and helped us with restaurant recommendations and planning our day. Top notch! Ismael and Anna were excellent from the check in process to any questions we had in between. Paulo and the entire bar staffed attended all our drink needs and were very friendly. The kids loved the kids club and the staff there (2 lovely ladies). Breakfast buffet in the morning was lovely. Shalini at the egg station was extremely nice and a great chef. Service was friendly, and the hotel had a mellow, unpretentious vibe. The pools (indoor and outdoor) were clean and not too crowded, and our kids loved taking a quick dip in the mornings. Iberostar Lagos hits the mark. Would definitely return!

Location was good. Quality of food (breakfast & dinner) very good. Service from most, but not all of the staff. Carpet in hallways definitely needs replacing. For the price should not be charged $1.50 for each extra coffee pods. Would be nice if they had a shuttle to transport guests to town, as it was about 30 minute to walk there on the boardwalk.

The Iberostar is situated across the Road from Meia Praio, a 5 kilometre Pristine beach. The hotel is very clean & has 2 lovely clean pools & a kids pool as well. It is approximately 2.5 kilometres to Lagos town centre. Our room was cleaned & restocked daily. Our room had an Ocean view& a nice balcony. We were very disappointed on the quality of the Bed& pillows, which were 2 Twins pushed together at different heights vs 1 king bed as expected, pillows were subpar& lumpy. The food, buffet is fresh & delicious with a wide variety of choices to please all guests at both breakfast & dinner. The staff in all areas are professional & well versed in Hospitality services. The big negative, we booked 1/2 board option, as we had booked several tours throughout the Algarve & wanted to experience local food & wine. The hotel constantly tried to upgrade us to an all inclusive plan& when we declined they began openly & loudly asking to see our hotel access bracelet’s& confirming that the colour was not an all inclusive option began charging us daily for plain drinking water at dinner& making us sign this on a tablet during our dinner proof that we had drank water& charged us $5.30 for this every meal at Checkout We felt openly discussed at each meal that we didn’t order wine or an upgrade drink The indoor pool closes at 7pm so we were never able to use it, otherwise we would have swam after or before our dinner. All in all we would return here.

The breakfast buffet was amazing, the staff were delightful, the vistas were beautiful, the pool areas were large and easy to get a bed, nice activity options as well. It would take at least 45 minutes to walk to Lagos centre or a 7 minute car ride. I would say the carpets throughout need to be replaced as do the pool deck beds. Overall, a pleasant stay!

We booked a sea view room but did not receive one. The view from our room was far from what was promised and certainly not reflective of a 5-star resort. It was a view of trees and a volleyball net. At check-in, the staff positioned our room as a “free upgrade,” but there was nothing upgraded about it—the view was worse than the standard rooms with no sea view. We had to request to be moved. We also requested a king bed, but were given two doubles pushed together. The food options, especially at the snack bar, were very disappointing—limited, often unavailable, and the quality was closer to movie theatre food than a luxury resort. Between 4-6pm you can’t get food anywhere other than room service. Poolside drink service was nearly nonexistent and very slow when available. The overall property did not meet 5-star standards. The hallways were hot with no air conditioning (only in rooms), the brown carpets were heavily stained, and the attention to detail across the resort was lacking. Although they did a good job with the renovations in the lobby and good onsite parking options the hotel didnt wow us. This is definitely not a true 5-star experience. I’ve stayed at many 5-star resorts, and this doesn’t compare. At best, I would rate it 3.5–4 stars. If you’re looking for genuine luxury and service, I may recommend looking elsewhere.

There is only one restaurant and it’s buffet style. The service was slow and I had to personally go up to the bar to order drinks as servers were often not coming around to see if anyone needs anything.

Big spacious property - does not feel crowded Rooms are big and space, although the carpets need replacing. Good pool for kids, good to have an indoor pool too! There was a gym but we didn’t utilise it. Very close to the beach, and easy access to board walk that takes up right up to the Marina. Breakfast and dinner was buffet style and plentiful, however disappointed with the quality - tastes average, food was luke warm eg taco shells were soft. Dinner started at 7.30pm and breakfast at 7am which is a bit late for us with a toddler + with jet lag. Reception was casual. Would be nice to be oriented to the hotel by reception staff including activities that are on. Only found out about the activities on a board near the restaurant which is 1 level below the reception.

We loved the music, entertainment, beach, and staff. However, please lower the lighting in the buffet area for dinner. The food was excellent, but we felt like we were we were eating in a cafeteria.

We had to ask for what we wanted as no staff were at the pool to take drink orders. The drink menus were limited with options. Food was delicious..was it worth the extra all inclusive cost for just a few days? Debatable. Breakfast starts very late, at 730am, so we didnt even get to enjoy anything on the last day since we had an early flight. Resort was like a maze with going up to go down to the same floor as your room. Was just extra confusing. I go on vacation to think less. Parking cost $7 for the vehicle to sit outside the main lobby door? For what purpose? It didnt go towards security to watch our vehicle. This place will nickle and dime you. Housekeeping didnt come each day until late afternoon. Our biggest peeve was that there was only one door that had to be used for either the shower or the toilet room. We had to strategically decide who was getting the door if we used both simultaneously. We probably wont return.
