Five hotels in the area. This was a simple overnight for youth sports. Classic case of you get what you pay for. I went with a cheap hotel based on pictures and other reviews. This hotel is run down, dirty and should be avoided with so many other options in the area. Parking lot full of garbage. Trash can at entrance overflowing. Massive ashtray filled with butts. Lobby worn and cluttered. Woman at the desk was very nice but quiet and apologetic. Never saw any other employees. Entire hotel smelled of weed. (Why does every limited service hotel smell like weed?) Elevator out of service. Third floor room. Not a big deal. Guest room tired. Paint chipped. Fingerprints everywhere. Crumbs still on top of the fridge. No coffee maker. Towel rack fell off. Toilet backed-up. Shower had no pressure as water continued out of the tub spout with just a trickle from the shower head. ROACHES AND FLEAS This obviously used to be a quality property. It is falling quickly into disrepair and flea bag (literally) status. First there are roaches and fleas due to poor cleaning practices. When I alerted the desk staff at checkout, they didn’t apologize nor did they seem to even care. Second, the beautiful pictures of the amenities weren’t close to reality. The laundry machines were not free. The market did not exist. The gym has one broken down treadmill rather than the multiple in the photos. The handles on the cable machine were disgusting. Stay away from this property until they make a serious commitment to doing better.

Very disappointed that the elevator was not working and we were forced to climb a couple flights of stairs to our room - very inconvenient after recent ankle surgery. And there was a lot of noise, speeding traffic and shady characters (drug dealing?) in the parking lot.

It was good except for the fire alarm system going off for a long time! The other disappointing experiences, washer and dryers weren’t working one washer working all the other ones not dryers to them working the rest night competing with everybody else I finish my laundry at 12 midnight! That was my bad experience well overall it was fine. Room 107 ! There was one woman at the front desk. She was very charming. I’m not sure how to say her name, but she was very charming.

When I called ahead to check on an early arrival they answered I said my name and date of arrival. Guy on the other end said twice “come at 11am” and then hung up on me! Upon arrival gentleman had no idea, but checked to see what room was cleaned. Good thing he found me a first floor room as the elevator was not working:/ I had a knee operation 3 1/2 months ago! That evening we were woken up with a barking dog running in the hallway? I didn’t know dogs were allowed? Then a woman yelling for anyone to help her that something happened ? Walks and floors above are very thin! All in all it worked out:)

Hotel was in a business park surrounded by other hotels but within walking distance to a scenic quarry. There's a wooded area out back that draws out wildlife on the property but nothing drastic. They have a small gym but no pool. The studio room was neat, bright and spacious enough for two. The microwave didn't work but maintenance provided a spare within 20 minutes.

I’ve been using this hotel for years, never any problems. This stay was the first time I had an actual issue. The staff and cleanliness was all still there but the comfortability was not. The elevator was out of order which mean using the steps every time you left the room and the thermostat in the room was also inoperable. Which meant whatever the temperature outside was, determined how cold/hot your room was.

Upon arrival the room had a very musty odor . Furnishings were outdated. Stains on the walls.. flooring and carpet. Bathroom was dirty . And there was a dead roach smashed in the ceiling of the kitchen. Needless to say I did not stay.

The front desk staff are nice. But this location is very run down. The elevator did not work. The carpet was stained. There was a leak in the hall with a trash can collecting water. The entire hallway had water stains on the ceiling. There was a weird smell. The bathroom in my room looked like it had maybe been wiped down, but not cleaned. There was dirt and hair in the tub. There were layers of dried sprinkles next to the toilet. You could see where the mop barely swiped across the front. There were dirty hand prints on the bathroom door. The chair had a hand print on it, so I know that wasn't even wiped down. This is literally the worst place I have ever stayed. But I guess you get what you pay for. Although, the motel across the street looked nicer.

I was told the elevator was out of service, the room I booked was on the 3rd floor only,...switched my smaller room to 1st floor without compensation...room was filthy, bed not made, trash can overflowing, returned to front desk to be given a 2nd room that had a horrible odor so I sprayed disinfectant Lysol...when I opened the closet the smell was even stronger...someone has urinated in two towels, folded them up, and placed them on the top rack...I removed them with a trash can liner and took them to the front desk...I will NEVER stay there again...This property has changed and gives Sonesta a bad reputation!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Upon arrival , the front entrance was not clean, front desk check-in smelled like cigarette smoke and trash. I was informed the elevator was broken and I was on the third floor, which wouldn’t be a problem if I didn’t have alot of stuff. The room was very dirty, smelled like cigarettes and cat pee. It was too much of a hassle to switch hotels due to the fact it was late and we had a funeral in the morning. I had to go buy cleaning supplies and air fresheners to tolerate it. The smoke detector was missing also. Would not stay again, pictures on website are very misleading!

The outside of the hotel and the inside of my room were pretty, but the inside of the hotel, outside of my room and the lobby, was shabby and smelly. I could get past the dated carpet and faded wallpaper if it wasn't for how horrible the place smelled. It was more bareable in the room, but you could still smell it. Periodically, there was a smoke smell but I wouldnt dare close the two inch maximum gap I could open the window to for fresh air. The scent stuck onto my luggage and clothes. After two weeks, I just need to deodorize my luggage set. Smaller details of the room were gross. A dead bug stuck on the head board, a live roach crawled by the kitchen, and the shower drain doesn't drain well. I had to wear chunky shower shoes my whole stay to not get my feet in the mini lake that would form. It's bareable if you keep the shower brief, the water pressure is really low anyway. If you have no other options, a bottle of perfume, and a decent lung capacity to hold your breath until you reach your room, you can make this place work. Don't pack too heavy though. The elevator was out. It's no fun dragging heavy luggage up a stair corridor that makes you gag.

The hallway smelled like cigarette smoke and marijuana smoke. The room had no coffee maker but two microwaves. There were no tissues and all of the soap dispensers in the bathroom were empty. The shower head didn’t work properly either. Sloppy painting in the bathroom and it was all over the broken floor tiles. The pillows smelled like cigarette smoke as well. Definitely will not stay here again.

The room was spacious and very nice, the only problem we had was a buzzing noise coming from the heater. At first it felt like our phones were buzzing or vibrating. We turned our phones off and the buzzing/vibrating noise was still coming on. We thought someone left their phone somewhere in the room. We searched the entire room, couldn't find anything. It was scary and annoying, my friend turned the heater/ac off, that's when the noise stopped. So it was coming from the heater.

Please bring your own tools! Old appliances. Just about every drawer broke off from being old. Tub never drained. Toilet leaks. I fixed all of this and was never paid. Seems like they purposefully leave the disposal drain plug on making your dishwasher to flood.

The room was big and spacious. The quality of maint was mid to low. I had to work on my a/c unit to get it to work, and it was very noisy. The bath fan and refrigerator were also too loud so i turned both off. The price was low but the quality of stay was mid to low. The front desk clerk was very nice, but she was unable to help me with maint issues in the room a/c unit.

First, the staff was very nice and the property is very convenient to where we were visiting. Pricing was reasonable and they accommodate pets if you have them. Now I will say do not expect anything exciting. It is a basic room..no frills. The furniture is definitely beat up and our tv did not work. If you are looking for an inexpensive basic room to sleep and keep your stuff it works fine, but if you are looking for anything more modern and with lots of amenities this will be a disappointment.

This is a relatively cheap hotel that is well past it's prime. When we arrived there was no toilet paper, and no holder for it-had to chase down a maid to get some. At least for me , it is too noisy. The refrigerator was so noisy that I had to turn it off. The toilet would not stop making noise unless the handle was giggled. The room A/C was noisy as usual. In the very early morning hours, I was awakened by the sound of a child crying, either from the hallway or the room above. Basically it is an old hotel that is badly in need of repair. "Simply Suites" means that there is no food at all, not even a simple breakfast, although there are breakfast places nearby. So you kind of get what you pay for. It seems to be designed for business people, since it has a desk and more-or-less complete kitchen, but I would hate to stay there for any length of time.

Plumbing is horrible. Old dated appliances. Semi working small tv. Thin stained sheets and towels. 2 forks, 1 spoon, old pans that will burn ur food unevenly. Disposal that was not installed properly. For the price this place should be nicer. No working phones in rooms. Wi-Fi is weak!! Dog poop everywhere.

Problem number one. Upon checking I was told they were overbooked and did not have the large room I had booked for my boyfriend,myself and my 11 year old son. We were supposed to get a room with a separate bedroom which was how it was described online. Instead they gave me two disconnected separate rooms and expected my son to stay in a room by himself across the hall. The owner/manager was apologetic and nice about it, and obviously having no other choice we took the two rooms and decided I would sleep with my son and my boyfriend would sleep in the other room by himself. Not ideal! Problem number two. The entire place wreaked of pot. Enough said. Problem number three. The rooms wreaked of smoke and chemicals. There were multiple air bead packets in the heating vents to try and cover up the smells which only made it worse. Problem number four. The entire place is just run down and in need of major renovations. The tub caulk was covered in black mold. The door handle to the bathroom had obviously been jimmied open at some point and was barely functional. All the metal surfaces were rusty. Problem number five. The room we got had a double bed and a chair. There was no way my 11 year old was going to share a bed with me and we would get a good night sleep. So I asked for a cot to set up. They don’t have any so he ended up sleeping on the reclining chair. Noise from rooms above woke us up early in the morning.

When I first stayed at this hotel, the staff made me and my fiancée feel welcomed. We checked out for almost two weeks and came back to this hotel because we had such an enjoyable experience. This time felt like the stay from HELL!!!!!!!!!! When we got there and checked in my fiancée and I went to inspect the room upon inspecting the room, she(fiancée) opened the microwave and the inside peace fell out and hit her in the head. So we went back to the front desk told what happened, no empathy was giving we were just switched to another room. Went to that room inspected it we said okay cool this one will work. So we bought our things in from the car. We was due to check out a few days later I went down and extended my reservation and we left out and went to work. I had been at work for a few hours and the CSR calls me and was like, Are you in your room? I responded and said no why is everything okay? He said yes but someone is coming to fix a maintenance issue so you have to switch rooms. Mind you I’ve only been at work a few hours. So I said give me an hour to two hours. He said ok. But I had to finish up and let my boss know I had to leave so before I got there this CSR calls me again and honestly at this point it’s HARASSMENT, because I told you I was coming. So when I get there I let them know I was there and to give me some time because of the inconvenience it will take me a few to get stuff packed up and moved. While all that is taking place i received a knock at the

I did not get any rest because I was woke up by police beating on the door across the hallway from my TWICE!! Once at 11pm, then again at 2am!! When I asked to speak with a manager, i was told they dont work on weekends and there's nothing they can do. My wife and I were traveling with our adult son and his girlfriend. Two rooms reserved. Our flight was delayed and we checked in after midnight. No one at the front desk. No response to “hello” or rattling things on the desk. After several minutes, the clerk finally came in the front door (security?) She initially gave us one room. Don’t know how she thought the four of us would fit in one room. I pointed out that we’d reserved two rooms, so then she did give us another room. Our room had NO chairs, not even at the desk (photo included). Also the base of the bedside lamp was disgusting (photo). We lived with those issues for the night. The other room had what appeared to be dried blood on the light switch and also the hall wall (photos). Also other cleanliness issues including a wet carpet and a sink that didn’t drain. The deal breaker was the door lock didn’t even work - they were able to open the door without using the key. They went to the front desk and were given a different room. The next morning I told that front desk clear about the chair situation and he indicated he would take care of it. Nope. The second morning we discovered that the shower in the different second (third) room didn’t work. Altogether, our worst hotel experience in decades.

I am always greeted by the lovely beauriful Afaf. She is so nice and friendly.. i really like her a lot. I come often to area to see my son. The rooms are always clean and the room has a little full kitchen . I highly reccomend this place.

I was in the area for the weekend and needed a place to sleep. The room was comfortable. I loved having a kitchen area so that I could make fresh food and NOT eat restaurant food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The decor is a bit tired. Overall, for the price, convenience, safe surroundings, and good service- it’s a good place to rest your head.

Stayed there when I went to watch the Birds with the Super Bowl!!!!! Go Birds. Oh yeah hotel was perfect for a weekend getaway. Everything is near you. 20 mins from Philly. Mall near by. I always stay here for a Philly trip.

The room smelled clean and was clean. The hard floors in the kitchen area when you first walked in and thr bathroom always felt damp and slippery. The rugs felt damp too when we first checked in but felt a little drier by the time we checked out 2 days later. The staff was very nice. The issues I have is that it falsely advertises the Market. One of the appeals to picking this location. Another good thing was multiple washers and dryers even though a couple of washer and dryers didn't work. More than any other hotel I ever stayed at. There is a decent fitness room but small and open. I also think this hotel is used as a shelter. I try to avoid those. Also no "Do Not Disturb" signs, so we left our TV on and light so it sounded like someone was in the room. Another thing is we went to go wash our clothes at a laundromat and came back to find our our room keys didnt work. I think a worker thought we were checking out because we put our dirty clothes in a suitcase to transport to the laundromat. They took care if it because someone probably went in and saw our stuff still there and for the fact we didnt check out until the next day. Its not letting me upload pictures, but the Market is non-existent.

I have no idea how this hotel was rated above a four. This was one of the least well maintained hotels I have ever been in. The hallways were never swept in three days and there was dirt everywhere including our floor. Paper towels, napkins, and spoons were empty at the coffee bar. Soap dispensers were empty in our bathroom and restrooms. No paper towels in the gym. Good luck getting clean towels. We arrived at 2 am with a reservation for 3 in a room with a bedroom and pull out couch. There was no bedding for the pull out. When we asked the front desk, the lady pretended not to speak English (we found out the next day, she speaks much better than we saw the night before) and she said no house keeping till morning- nothing she could do. I asked if we could at least get a pillow.- No. I asked if there may be one in an unused room my son could have to sleep on. -No. All booked. Oddly, the hotel parking lot was only about 30% full… So, we divided up bedding so my son could sleep. The next day, my son cut his hand on the door to the gym. No paper towels, no first aid kit. The front desk had 2 first aid kits, neither had any bandages. Luckily another hotel guest was able to help us out. The whole stay was filled with continuous disappointments. Honestly, if we weren’t so busy with my daughter’s graduation and moving her into her new apartment, we would have left early and asked for a full refund. Do yourself a favor and stay at any of the other hotels in the area.

ROACHES AND FLEAS This obviously used to be a quality property. It is falling quickly into disrepair and flea bag (literally) status. First there are roaches and fleas due to poor cleaning practices. When I alerted the desk staff at checkout, they didn’t apologize nor did they seem to even care. Second, the beautiful pictures of the amenities weren’t close to reality. The laundry machines were not free. The market did not exist. The gym has one broken down treadmill rather than the multiple in the photos. The handles on the cable machine were disgusting. Stay away from this property until they make a serious commitment to doing better.

This is a relatively cheap hotel that is well past it's prime. When we arrived there was no toilet paper, and no holder for it-had to chase down a maid to get some. At least for me , it is too noisy. The refrigerator was so noisy that I had to turn it off. The toilet would not stop making noise unless the handle was giggled. The room A/C was noisy as usual. In the very early morning hours, I was awakened by the sound of a child crying, either from the hallway or the room above. Basically it is an old hotel that is badly in need of repair. "Simply Suites" means that there is no food at all, not even a simple breakfast, although there are breakfast places nearby. So you kind of get what you pay for. It seems to be designed for business people, since it has a desk and more-or-less complete kitchen, but I would hate to stay there for any length of time.

the place smelled terrible. the gym the laundry and snack vending are all in the same room. the treadmill was cracked the outside had beer bottles and cases all over the ground. there was dog poop outside around the area near the grills. the puctures on the site are totally misleading. i wouldnt recommend sonesta to anyone.
