Courtyard Atlanta Decatur Downtown/Emory

I had an amazing time at this property! We had fun on a cold day at the indoor pool. Will definitely come back.

Parking is all covered and easy to access Lobby/ indoor courtyard is lovely

Parking was a nightmare. I’m still being charged daily for parking even though I checked out two days ago. I’ve called several numbers with no answer to why the charges keep coming. Don’t scan the QR code at parking deck unless you want your card charged daily even after you check out.

We loved everything. It was very difficult to park a big truck in the tiny underground parking spots.

Property is very well maintained, especially the pool. Front desk staff are pretty good, if hard to find at times. Rooms are very nice and clean. There are really only two issues that should be addressed/changed: 1) They neglect to mention in the details that you must pay to park, which in my opinion should be listed as one of the fees. At the time of my stay, it was $12/day. 2) There is not a single vending machine on any of the floors. Instead, they have a tiny little "store" area next to the check-in desk where they sell a very limited selection of sodas and snacks. This is very inconvenient.

Awesome hotel and staff and location. But…be super careful if you have a car. The garage is easily accessible, but the parking spaces are small and there are literally a million concrete pillars to navigate…all of which are covered with paint from cars. Just…be…careful! Otherwise, awesome hotel and location. I ate nothing, so have no comments in that regard.

The room was very clean and the lobby is really nice. Parking was in a conveniently located garage. The area has nice restaurants within walking distance. I will definitely stay here again if my child gets into Emory.

This courtyard has seen better days. Outside it’s located in a great little area with lots to do. Inside needs a good cleaning and repairing. I didn’t shower due to the funk on the shower floor. Dust and lint on the AC intake showed further lack of attention to detail. AC and internet were both on point. Staff seemed very friendly. I’m sure you’re on candid camera but you can walk from outside into the parking garage and up to the back of the lobby and then up the separate elevator to room floors without need of a key or room card. Not great.

The sink and bathtub were very dirty. The sink was clogged. The towels were stained and dingy. The window looked out to an inside area. Very claustrophobic. I did not like this hotel. Not worth the price. The only good thing was the location.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom needed NO repairs and was sanitized. Breakfast was Great!!!

Sink and bathtub were so dirty. Sink was clogged. Run down. Window looks over inside area, a bit claustrophobic feeling. Not a great hotel. Would not stay again. It is right in Decatur Square. So location is good, that’s it though.

Wood floors were dirty. Bath Tissue was 2-ply but fell apart (it was very rough and felt like 1 ply). When we checked in, as we were staying 7 days, we were asked if we wanted the room cleaned daily. We said nah. They suggested w/M/W/F. We said that was fine. But they came on Monday only. They said their schedule only said M/F. Friday came but no one came. When we asked about it, it was because we had a do not disturb sign until 10am. They came to the room, saw the sign and never came back. They said that was their policy. We’ve never experienced that - ever! Not enough coffee for even 2 days. Hair in fresh towel we’d not even used. The headboard had not been cleaned. The room safe was great. Employees were nice and kept apologizing for misunderstanding. Handrail in tub area was in wrong place to be helpful. No place to recycle or compost. The stopper in the tub was broken.

The heat was over 80 degrees making it impossible to get comfortable and sleep. They moved me to an outward facing room but it was just as hot. They had no fans or remedy for the issue

Probably the 30th time we've stayed at the Courtyard over a decade and a half. Will definitely stay again. Not the best of breakfast choices in the hotel, but there are amazing restaurants nearby. Still a terrific location if you want to hang out in Decatur. The conference center isn't bad either. Had a room looking toward the inside hall (as opposed to an outside city-view window. None of the windows are darkened, so it's easy to see inside others' rooms; thus, privacy is limited to a darker room with curtains and a shade drawn. But the bed is great, and the people are always kind.

The mattresses were not comfortable at all. I have mobility issues and need a handicap room. The room was the furthest possible from the elevator. That makes no sense

Staff was great, room clean, location! Not crazy about the atrium view from the room, curtains do not block the all night light. Bed too hard for my personal preference. Very happy we stayed here for our New Years week staycation.

I was upset with paying over $200 and the air would not work properly. I turned the air down to 50 degrees and the temperature was still 77 degrees in the room. Because of this I could not sleep. The maintenance man claimed the hotel used a boiler and chiller and thats why it didnt work good. Its funny that a hospital has both and you can make the temperature be what suits you. I will never go back and I want my money back.

Pleasant staff and clean room Only drawback is the room didn’t have a window to the outside, it was a window to the lobby area so it was dark even with all the lights turned on

Hotel is clean and linens and beds are comfortable. There is a lot of noise, however. You can hear other guests if they're talking in the hall. Every room seems to overlook an atrium where the reception is. The atrium has a strong echo which also can be heard inside the rooms.

The rooms were great! My husband and I loved the shiny floors instead of carpet! Update the pillows to bigger and firmer.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The AC/Heat was not working properly when we arrived, but was soon resolved.

The clerk that checked me in was very personable & caring. I asked for housekeeping everyday we were there. They were terrible. Our sheets weren’t changed in the 5 nights we were there. My bed wasn’t ever fully made, the other one was just thrown together 2 days in a row. The bathroom was never cleaned & towels one morning weren’t fully replaced nor the bag in the ice bucket. I had to get them from the front desk. Very disappointed in this Marriott. I could have saved a ton of money staying in a motel 8 with the same treatment I got from this Marriott.

No BellBoy No Valet NO TV Prem Channels,horrific parking issues &general parking site-planning. Unintelligible, counterintuitively represented elevator operational Panel (from Parking to Lobby/Room) found me, elderly solo woman traveler at nite stranded outside stairwell and elevator at location P3, requiring 2 calls to concierge ( he promised to immediately come to me for my assistance during this 1st call- after 15 minute wait, police were called by myself to assist my trapped and ignored situation around 10pm, in dark parking area), ultimately, yet another call to concierge who at last responded and showed up to give assist to my room. PLEASE NOTE: it took 1.3 hours from parking ( struggle with many many parking spaces unrealistically usable for 97% of even small cars - my BMW 440i convertible sports car could not, even with great effort squeeze into the many ( by name only) designated parking spots)… causing repeated &highly frustrating experience) to room time.Adding to this unfortunate litany, Dimwitted & not particularly friendly or helpful concierge ‘Roger’,ZERO evidence of Hand Sanitizer throughout Hotel-including ZERO sanitizer provided in room, UNFRESH *bed linens,(photos available), no remotely useful complimentary( shampoo, conditioner, hair net, etc) products, grossly smudged on/off ie, unclean switches thruout room Poorest:cleanliness, & poorest user-friendly hotel in recent experience. I Will neither recommend nor return to any of your branded facilities.

Fantastic service from front desk

This is not the first time booking through a third party website like hotels.com. Whenever the room is not booked through the Marriot.com website I am automatically given the most undesirable room available. This time the door didn’t close completely and had to be locked with the latch. When mentioned to front desk staff, the only response was “oh I’m so sorry”. This is unacceptable and beyond disgraceful to customers

Everyone was so nice including the general manager who introduced himself to me and thanked me for staying there. It was great!

I have stayed here several times and always been very pleased. This trip got off to a great start-my flight was early and they let me check in early so I could unpack and get ready for the day. however when I came back to settle in the TV did not function and I could not get WIFI to work and when I called to the FRONT DESK no one answered. No problem…I went to sleep! The problem was when I checked out and let the front desk know these issues…the response was “Did you use the FRONT DESK button on the phone to call us? Yes. Well that button doesn’t work!” What is a person to do! Haha! It was frustrating and even though she quickly removed the parking charge and loaded up my Marriott account…IT HIT WRONG.

They were very helpful and kind. Many great suggestions for sight seeing and great food.

Parking lot assistance is horrible! We got stuck in the parking lot and called the assistance desk. The operator, Roberto, was very rude and literally refused to let us out. He kept repeatedly saying.., “ well, how did you get in?” And saying that, we should have exited before 11:30. Which was never explained. We sat and ate breakfast after check out & had no idea. Instead of letting us out, he taunted us for a good 23 minutes before opening the gate. My husband threatened to call the police & file a report before he let us out and said, next time leave on time. It was an absolute nightmare!

Wonderful- Close to everything

Close to some excellent restaurants and coffee shops. Walkable and safe environs. Very pleasant.

Location was convenient for my trip and travel plans in Atlanta. Staff was courteous and welcoming.

Downtown Decatur offers a variety of shops and places to eat. Charming areas and historic places.

Location, location, location

The staff was professional, courteous, helpful and friendly. Transportation was excellent. MARTA is 5 minutes walk from the facility. Various food options within close proximity to the facility. As always Courtyard by Narriott is comfortable. The room and bathroom are clean and fresh( major for me).

We enjoyed the comfort and location. There was no complimentary coffee, but the Bistro had an excellent lunch and breakfast.

We came for rest. We paid for breakfast. What we got was regret, served hot and soggy. They called it food. I called it microwave archaeology—ancient scrambled eggs and mystery meat dragged from the freezer’s crypt. The coffee said Starbucks, but it tasted like something strained through an old sock in a trench. The woman running the breakfast area had the enthusiasm of a DMV on a holiday weekend. We paid $40 for two people. For that, we got sadness on a plate. So we did what any broken, battered travelers would do—we fled to First Watch down the street. There, the eggs were real, the coffee woke us up instead of insulting us, and the service reminded us we were human. The bill? $41, with a tip and our dignity included. Next time, skip the Courtyard breakfast unless you’re into culinary nihilism.

Very good location with things to do within walking distance. The selection for any food service at the hotel is poor. Walk to nearby restaurants or have them deliver.

The hotel itself snd location were fine . The staff at front desk did not see we had paid for breakfast and gave us hard time . Luckily we had print out showing it . Staff at their bistro for breakfast were terrible ! Poorly trained and even rude .

Very limited breakfast and only one person working each day so service is very slow. 10 minute wait just for coffee. Restaurant/bar area is closed at night if hotel doesn’t have enough guests. I picked the hotel for those two reasons and neither was worth it. However the hotel staff were all absolutely great! I will be going back just because of the staff

This is the perfect location to experience all that Decatur has to offer. The hotel was nice and kept up well. Only the coffee shop was open for food or drinks in the hotel and only for a few hours, so plan to eat and drink elsewhere.
