SpringHill Suites by Marriott Memphis East Galleria

Customer service was great. Breakfast was horrible- almost everything was from the freezer. Fruit was not fresh. Laundry facility was down. Jacuzzi was out of order.

Place was very dirty, pool was partially decommissioned and smelly and the entire place and room smelled bad. Also broken stuff in room

Price was good, but room not clean. Beds not comfortable at all. Elevator broken. We stayed on first floor but I heard a guy hollering from the elevator that he was stuck inside on the first floor. Not well kept up. Nice area and good brand usually. I would avoid this property.

The hotel is in Desperate need of a renovation the pool area looked like something from a horror film and the pool was oily and the water was dirty I would not recommend

It was a really nice trip. I was surprised that the hotel had absolutely no ice machines on either floor! We had the ice bucket but were to.d to go to the other Marriott hotel to get ice. That was the only glitch we experienced. All in all I would come back and I have recommended this hotel to other family members.

while the staff was great, the accommodations were not, our room spelled like week old moldy water, the tub had some stains around it, we were looking forward to using the pool and hot tub, which the hot tub was closed and wasn’t stated on the website, and the pool looked like it wasn’t cleaned other than skimmed on the top. the breakfast was good for a breakfast included in a hotel stay.

The pool and workout facility were not available. These were the main reasons for our stay.

We were very disappointed that the pool was closed. We only booked this hotel because of the pool because our children wanted to swim.

Unfortunately this hotel needs better management. Room was dusty, catpet sticky. We found someone's socks on the floor. Not well kept room. Pool area was dirty, jacuzzi didn't work. We left day early.

The Expedia description for this property is deceptive and inaccurate. It states "guest can use a nearby fitness center (free access)". This is not true, the only fitness option is a small fitness room inside the hotel with very limited equipment. This was the deciding factor for me selecting this hotel, so I was very disappointed to find out it was false. I don't appreciate being lied to.

Roaches everywhere. In our fridge and crawling around, it smelt bad when you walked in your room.

To start off we checked in and the service desk staff was friendly. Went to the room to get settled and bed bugs were seen in the room in the pillow case. I went to inform the front desk. She stated "what room are you in, oh we have had a problem with that room." I can give you another room. I wanted a refund. She assursd me there were none in the new room she was about to give me. Staff came to take pictures to verify what I noticed. That staff member was jumping and screaming, she was afraid of the bugs to take the photo. I told her imagine how we feel and we paid for the room. The carpet on each floor was horrendous. Torn and scrappy looking. The hotel was dirty and dingy but staff appeared to be cleaning as best they could with what was there. One other positive note is the staff was friendly although they spoke very little English and we had to speak into their phones for translations for service.

This property had roaches in the mini refrigerators, ants, mold in the bathrooms, gnats in the rooms, stains all over the room floor, doors that you can look through and see the hallway, and smoked out rooms covered up with fragrance. This hotel is horrible and is no better than staying in a 0 star motel room.

Property had bed bugs. Refused refund. Poor management. Would avoid at all costs.

It was filthy, smelled like cigarette smoke and the smoke detectors had veen pulled out of the ceiling. The second room they moved me to smelled like urine. The third one was clean, but the tv didnt work and it was very noisy. I will never stay there again.

Room was not clean, pull out couch cushions were filthy, actual pull out mattress had dirt and chip crumbs. Bathroom has lots of mold and a very rusty piece above the door. Found hair on a pillow and the freaking walls/ ceiling are paper thin. There was a party down the hall where we could hear people laughing at 2am and could hear people running in the hallway/room on the floor above us. Breakfast was disappointing as well. AND they tried to charge us for 3 market drinks we never got, they did reverse the charge though, but still shady. Won't ever go back!

Very dirty, stains on the linens. Dirty door frame, couch was very dirty and stained, mirror was spotted.Hallways were stained and tile work were dirty with spilled liquid.

Definitely not worth the money. Very dirty and dingy. Walked into room to discover TV on, bed unmade, towel on floor, and blanket on couch. Had to request a different room. New room had terrible mildew smell, dirty carpet with a huge stain, air would not work. Very disappointing. Will never stay here again.

Second time staying at this hotel on our way through the area from MD to TX. Nice area. Lots of stuff around. Friendly staff. Room is spacious including a couch. Beds are comfy. Great hotel for our quick stay.

Pretty solid stay! Room was clean, check in was easy. Just needed a stay for one night so it definitely did the job. Definitely a bit of an older building but not problematic. Employees were friendly and helpful.

First off, this is not what you know as SpringHill Suites, this is more like the SpringHill and the Knights Inn on that sketchy exit had a baby. Large rooms, sweet staff, free breakfast, etc., but it has a creepy vibe. Dark, super rundown, sticky and torn-up carpet, black painted bathroom walls to cover up who knows what, TVs don’t work (we tried moving rooms three times and gave up). They said the TV issue was an “outage,” but then we saw all the comments, so yeah. We only looked at the star rating and not the comments - our mistake. Read the comments.

It seemed like it got new management. There was no uniforms on employees. They didn’t know where batteries were for remotes, where to get extra pillows, forgot our room number, the place really need a facelift, carpet in hallways were shabby, wallpaper peeling, elevator was unkempt, couch in our room was difficult to sit on (slanted forward), electrical outlet was very loose (couldn’t hold plug for my irons or their hair dryer), the air conditioner set to 65 to keep cool. Their service was good. I would not stay there again. It was clean and organized in room.

We stay here each time we take daughter back to college. The room is spacious. The beds are comfy and ac works great. The carpet in the room had some big red stains like paint. Breakfast is ok. Not a big selection but it’s ok.

The property is in a good location but needs to be updated and renovated. The corridors and the rooms have worn carpeting, the suites furnishings are terribly old and worn. The hotel is very dark and depressing. I would consider finding another property if possible.

the property is starting to show its age. several areas where the carpet is coming up, wallpaper peeling off and the highway noise was pretty evident. Serving biscuits, hash browns and bacon that were bought from Sam's/Walmart, also being undercooked wasn't the best look. My next Memphis Trip will

They called me and asked of my needs for the nights stay which was great ! They assured me of a room on the top floor and we were pleased with it. Quiet and comfortable. The clerk was gracious enough to call me in the room to see if she could take care of anything else we might need and to not hesitate to call if I did. It was very professional. Bed was comfortable and room was great.

I could tell this hotel was under new management this visit. Ive stayed here the last few years when in town and never experienced any issues until this visit. From checking in, being told my reservation number wasnt working and i didnt have one there with her doing very little to even double check. To me pointing out to her i saw my name on the check in paperwork on the desk. My room very dirty, things being left from previous people and wasnt picked up/cleaned from housekeeping, TV not working, WiFi password not working. Making us carry dirty linen to front desk by hand (no bag, basket nothing to put it in) in order to get new linen and the front desk trying to grab the DIRTY linen with her hands without gloves or placing it in bags. Never had a hotel make us do that before. Just overall terrible experience, will NOT be booking here again.

The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The breakfast was also very good, and we got a good night's rest.

The back of the door said that checkout time is 12:00. At 11:15, a housekeeper knocked, and I answered the door. I pointed out that the door said checkout is 12:00. A minute later, I get a call from the front desk telling me checkout is 11:00. I pointed out that the door said 12:00. He rudely repeated that checkout is 11:00. He did not care what the door said. He should not be in the hospitality industry.

Room #1: We were unpacked, set-up & ready for bed. TV didn’t work. Waited for guy to come fix it. I discovered the door to our room didn’t lock. I told the guy that when I was waiting for him to get to me, I had tried the doors on that floor & many opened just by me using the door handle. Room #2: They changed our room, said all was good. Packed up. Moved. Unpacked. The door didn’t lock. Room #3: They changed our room, said all was good. Packed up. Moved. Unpacked. The door didn’t lock. Room #4: They changed our room, said all was good. Packed up. Moved. This time I checked the door instead of trusting them. The door didn’t lock. They moved us over to Fairfield Marriott. All was good there. This process took from 8:15 pm to around 10:00 pm. I came to Memphis for my rheumatology apt. I was in so much pain! Never even once did they ask if we wanted help or push the cart! When they moved us across the parking lot, I refused to move the cart. After a few minutes of staring at each other, the lady finally pushed the cart to Fairfield. I asked for my room to be comped. She said that was up to the main manager. I asked for a way to contact the corp manager. I was told that she couldn’t give out that info, but she would let them know. This morning I spoke to a different manager there. She said that she heard what happened. She gave me the corp managers phone# & email. I will be contacting them in the next couple of days, but really, they should be contacting me.

This was absolutely the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in my life. The hotel was dirty, the staff was extremely rude, and they tried to cancel my reservation that I have for two days by telling me I didn’t check in in time at 11 PM. We’ll never stay here again and we’ll take all my employees and business elsewhere from here on out.

The front desk staff was exceptional! We arrived before check in time but would not be back to the hotel until late that night. The staff found a room that had already been cleaned and checked us in early. The desk clerk and the hospitality manager (I believe that’s what her badge said) was so nice! I’ll definitely consider this location when we visit again!

The rooms are quiet. The staff was dynamics different. Morning staff was wonderful but the afternoon and evening staff was rude and not helpful. We stayed 3 days and our room was never cleaned.

The hotel was perfect for our one night stay for a family event. It’s next to the mall and plenty of eating places in walking distances. Their pool is out of Order but we were able to go to Fairfield Inn that is literally 500 steps away. Great stay, tall African American guy with dreads checked us in and he was extremely helpful and polite. We will definitely stay here again. Nice area.

It was quite and near whatever i could possibly need: walmart, sams, Kroger, the mall, plenty of dining options.

Just minutes away from pretty much anywhere. Loved the convenience of nearby shopping and entertainment.

Friendly staff, nice spacious room, lots of parking. Great location off interstate and to food. This was just an overnight stay for a long trip. It was a pleasant, comfortable stay. Would stay here again.

The breakfast was horrible. I thought the scrambled eggs was grits until I dipped them on my plate. The sausage was not like any pork sausage I've ever had. It may have been turkey sausage. The consistency was unfamiliar. There were no forks. I asked the clerk and she said they were out of forks. It was a very unpleasant experience.

Great Location, comfortable room, staff was nice. No hot breakfast items available at 8am and no one seemed to notice or care. Had some yogurts and cold cereal options. Had waffle making abilities but not set up.

I was very impressed with the hotel. Other than a couple cosmetic flaws in the room, and pillows extremely soft, everything was nice! Breakfast was great including pancakes, eggs, bacon, bagels, english muffins, and bread. Stayed 3 nights. Would stay again.

The front desk attendant when we checked in was great. The pool was not available due to maintenance and with the location of our room we heard maintenance nosies until after 9:00 p.m. Breakfast was terrible. Limited options and nothing like what the website described.

Front desk staff didn’t know what a crib or pack n play was (even though I called before check in to request one). It took them about 10 minutes and 5 employees to figure it out. The room was disgusting…bloodstains on sheets, mildew in tub, old food on the floor. Hot tub was broken and pool wasn’t usable because chlorine fumes were so bad. Breakfast wasn’t even a breakfast. Zero fruit or yogurt options. They offered bagels but no cream cheese. They offered salsa and cheese but no eggs. This was at 7 am and according to another guest, the breakfast had been just as horrible the last several days. Can’t believe this was considered a Marriott hotel. So embarrassing for them.

Couch was stained and bathroom wasdirty. There were several repairs that needed to be down mostly cosmetic. The free breakfast was basically cereal because the people that prepare the food didn’t show up both days we stay there. Poor management. Stay away from this hotel worst experience we’ve had yet.

Property was clean. Worst breakfast I've ever encountered in all my years of travel. A complete joke. Couldn't even keep fresh coffee out.
