La Quinta by Wyndham Memphis Wolfchase

Auto was broken into overnight while in parking lot. Camera surveillance was of little help.

Check in was fast and the room was very nice. Breakfast is better than other chains. They always take care of me when I stay here. Indoor pool is always available and very nice.

Vehicles were broken into overnight while in hotel parking lot. Staff was helpful with this situation.

The hot tub was broken staff was made aware . Everything else was fine staff let us bring our bicycles in the room due to parking lot safety issues.

Only 1small elevator which was slow. Busy night so accounts for some delay. Overall good place to stay while busy traveling.

I wouldn't stay here again. Wouldnt let us check in 30 minutes early even though our room was available. Keys continuously stopped working. The breakfast was the same for a solid week. Runny eggs, undercooked biscuits, and sausage. Shower ceiling paint was chipping off. Mold in the bathtub. Hall smelled like weed. The hot tub is cold as they have waited 9 months for a part. Probably wouldn't have mattered since only 2 jets out of 9 were working. Staff didn't bother telling us the issues when we got the pool key. Both the tub and pool were in need of replastering. The "business office" consisted of some chairs and a tv tray. The A/C worked great. The location is convenient to I-40 and plenty of testaurants around.

The room smelled clean and was clean! I love clean. The pool was a bonus, water warm, again, clean. Disappointed that the jacuzzi was down, maybe it will be functioning when you visit. The breakfast staff kept right on top of things, replenishing items so no one went without.

The hot tub was terrible, cold and only one jet. Otherwise OK.

Hotel’s well-priced, dog-friendly and well-located. Staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is fine. But… our car was broken into along with two others. Lost two bags (I know, bring ‘em in, dummy) but we have tinted windows and the lot is well-lit - they were just guessing. Lot is well lit and well-kept, theft was captured on camera, but I’d be shocked if we get anything back. Bummer.

Fitness center needs new machines. 4/5 were not working.

The furniture was old, scratched and peeling. I literally dusted the desk, night tables and bureau. Phone in the room didn’t work. Front desk could have cared less. My socks were black after the one night we stayed.

Really clean facility. Checked in but was not advised about breakfast.

staff helpful, rooms clean. A bit of paint touch up and stain on furniture would make a big improvement on appearance of your property.

Absolutely a great pet friendly room. They had vinyl flooring which is the best pet friendly flooring. High marks. The room did not smell. It was clean. It was fresh. Newly remodeled felt very comfortable there. Linens were fresh and white. The pet area was excellent. Well stocked my dogs loved it. Your front desk was wonderful. Those people are great. I will definitely stay there again

The breakfast was good. My room was clean. The pool was relaxing.

We paid for a dog friendly room. It smelled sanitized but the walls were filthy. The bathroom door had what looked like lip gloss smeared on it and some thick creamy substance. Behind the toilet was something that looked like red pizza topping or chunky sauce. It was unsettling and gross. The furniture looked terribly aged and worn but I’m guessing that was because it was a dog friendly room. There is no excuse for the filthy walls.

I found live roaches in the bedding. I told the front desk and they moved us to another room. The rooms have hardwood floor and you can hear every noise in the hallways. We were on the first floor with a dog and I think that floor is where all the pets stay. We could hear cats and dogs making noise. We were facing the parking lot so we could hear the car passing by. I have not heard back from the manager about a discount for the inconvenience of having roaches in the room.

I liked the updated bathroom. Our room had some cobwebs and what appeared to be mold on the ceiling, but otherwise the room was clean. The pool area was clean. The entrance was clean, but smelled like fish.

Summary: the walls in this building are paper thin. I couldn’t get to sleep until 2 am. Our neighbors in 119 were having a fun evening. We could hear every little thing all night, including the intimate details. The room was big and clean, and they cater to travelers with pets. Everything was okay for the price, but the building itself is greatly flawed for a hotel. I can only surmise that the developer cut out the noise insulation to save money. Also, the breakfast did not include eggs. We stayed at four LaQuintas on this cross country trip, and this one ranks #4. Sorry to say that.

Little things were off: the fan in the bathroom sounded like a jet getting ready for takeoff. Seriously. The coffee-maker and ice bucket were missing. Although the room was large and clean, the furniture was old and heavily marked up and dented. The receptionist acted like she was doing us a favor to check us in. The next night we stopped at the La Quinta in Roanoke-Salem. The premises were obviously older but in much better shape and the staff friendly and helpful.

Furniture beat up, room nice, clean but nothing special. Coffee maker and ice bucket was in the bathroom (weird).

The beds were terrible; the metal frame underneath creaked all night with every movement, and the mattresses were not comfortable. Also the general furniture in the room, dressers, etc. looked be quite abused. Then no carpet on the floor made it feel very institutional. Overall, it felt like I stayed in a dumpy place.

Staff was beyond friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfy.

Staying here was a great experience. The only problem was that my room was on the first floor just a short way down the hall from the lobby, and there were people out there talking with their outdoor voices, it sounded like, late at night and early in the morning. When I commented about it at the desk, I was told they were construction workers.

Hair in shower, sagging mattresses, loud people in adjacent room.

Close to work area, clean but my room was near the elevator and i could hear the pump running each time it was used, the mattress was worn out and the sheets were rough.

The water pressure was low, the pool was cold, and you can hear everything happening in the rooms around you.

Size and layout of the room

Staff was great. We had two rooms and in each room the TV did not work. Need to always check batteries in remote. The place was very clean but our room was not ready when we arrived and we waited over an hour to be cleaned. Then the Staff gave us an upgrade and it worked wonderfully

The lady at checkin was not friendly. She was sitting around the corner when we arrived and could t be bkthered to get up. She shouted can i help you. Ac didnt work in first room, tv didnt work in second room.

I always stay here when I visit Memphis. This particular visit the air conditioning went out in my room. The staff was quick to assess the situation and provided another room. I recommend this place to everyone that I know.

Arrival was decent, everything went quickly downhill.we were given the room keys , loaded some of our things and animals into the room. . Tried to get back in the room and the door would not open at all. Front desk couldn't get it open . We were told the maintenance guy wasn't onsite soooo. We then told them to get it open immediately as our dogs were in the room going nuts. The suggested we go to another room until they can manage to get it open...um nooo. About 30 minutes go by and another employee comes with a card and says you just have to wiggle it differently and play with the handle. We then got moved to a r room next to about15 young adults who partied ALL night and morning. Banging on walls moving furniture, fighting, and blasting a personal boom box ( oh and with them they had a poor little baby) who also screamed all night. Bad parents table for two. We called to the desk several times and each time was hung up on. Every time and I mean every time our keys to the room stopped working and we had to get new ones from the front desk. . The front desk staffs boyfriend was laying on the counter watching a movie with his girlfriend when we came from dinner the second night. The third night was more of the same crap. . I highly suggest that you do NOT stay here. At all ever if you want sleep, access to your room or just to be treated with respect. This place is a real clown show. Manager dodged the request to speak with us, so we will be going to corporate.

Our stay was great! The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, especially since we had to adjust our stay a couple of times, due to TS Debby and flight cancellation concerns from Raleigh to Memphis. We had multiple rooms booked for a family celebration. The staff cheerfully helped sort out the confusion, making sure late arrivals were accommodated and we all had rooms. This was our first time staying at La Quinta in the Wolfchase/Bartlett area in Memphis. It won’t be our last. We were extremely pleased with the cleanliness, amenities and friendly staff. The area felt safe, was easily accessed, had lots of restaurant choices within walking distance and was an easy drive to all points of interests.

The room itself was fine. The shower was broken. It was an accessible room (which I didn’t need, but it’s nice they have), but the shower had a valve that was just spinning so water didn’t come out. I had to make do with a water bottle and the sink. It was one of those hurry out the door early mornings. Staff suggested on check out that I should have told maintenance the night before when I hadn’t tried to shower yet or that they could put me in a different room for the next night even though I was checking out and there was no next night. They didn’t offer a refund of any portion or a real apology. It was annoying.

The property is located in Wolfchase which has plenty of restaurants and right off of the expressway. Check in was quick and easy. The room was spacious and clean Breakfast was good- waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage and a few grab and go options. Front desk clerk Dee was awesome. I originally booked an overnight stay but at the last minute I had to add an extra day. she was very accommodating. Pool was great. The hot tub didn’t get hot but Luke warm which was okay. Overall I will definitely book here again in the future

This hotel was just off the interstate and had nice restaurants across the road which you could walk to if you are so inclined.

The property is very clean, modern and well kept. The staff was very courteous friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of options. The pool area also offered a spa. It's also very close to a number of dining and shopping options. By the way Wolfchase Mall is very close, a short drive or a nice walk.

Very comfortable room with and excellent shower! Good breakfast selections. Close to freeway and several restaurants and shopping.

Convenient location from interstate before getting into metro Memphis area

The breakfast hot water jug tasted like coffee because they rotate the same jugs with the coffee.

Check in - slow- was told updating system, but no complication. Lobby, dining area, hallway, elevator, room, bathroom very clean. Cabinet doors/ fronts- at refrigerator area - luggage shelf were very scratched up, needs to be replaced- one bed very comfortable, one bed made noise everytime you would lay down on it - but comfortable Breakfast selection- least I’ve seen in awhile, typical waffle maker with only one syrup type( no sugar free)- no bagels, no bread for toast Tiniest muffins ( one variety I’ve ever seen) , cold biscuits on a shelf, powdered eggs n sausage links No cold case for yogurt, butter, jelly yogurt sitting 3 levels deep in ice bath with only bottom layer staying cold- - 3 variety of cold cereal. Milk sitting out on counter - no ice bath to keep cold No hot cereal such as oatmeal or grits was a microwave n toaster (?) to heat biscuit lots of bananas n tangerines area was very clean Would stay again- just know breakfast selection bare minimum

A better variety at breakfast would be great, pool could have been warmer. Great location, close to many restaurants and shopping mall.

Television was not working at all cuz of weather ( saying bad connection) but other tv in breakfast area is working umm) so can’t watch any shows or news in the morning so that’s one one issue . Clean room and breakfast is suitable.
