This property was recommended to us by a friend. We loved the horses, there were two ‘families’ roaming right near our cottage, 2 young foals. Also popped in the stable and petted a very friendly horse. The cottage was perfect for 3 adults, 3 bedrooms, modern and lovely decor. We only went into the main building to check out the common area, which is like a library you’d see in a movie, dark furniture with areas to hang out, enjoy a beverage and even play games. It is odd that you let yourself into the rooms, but feels safe. The road in is as bumpy as they say.

We stayed in the private apartment for three nights. The location is great for exploring the South Coast. We could have easily stayed here longer as there is so much to see and do within an hour or so of drive. The apartment was roomy and well equipped. We had a full kitchen with a little dishwasher. We had beautiful views of the horse farm, and mountains in the distance. There was also a river behind the farm.

Es gibt einen riesigen Aufenthaltsraum mit Kaffee und Teezubereitung,Tv etc.Die Zimmer und die Gemeinschaftsbäder sind sehr sauber.Man fühlt sich sehr heimisch.

Access to the horse barns is amazing! I really loved being able to hang out with them whenever I felt like it Breakfast was delicious and the staff were attentive. The walls are a bit thin, but all the other guests were pretty quiet so it was not a huge deal. At the time of writing this, the listing said there was laundry available but that was not the case.

Lovely stay on an equestrian centre. The guesthouse was clean and comfortable with an enormous upstairs sitting room with tea and coffee available. Breakfast was adequate but convenient. It was lovely to see the Icelandic horses outside the window and to be able to visit the stables to meet them up close.

To get there there is probably a 6-7 km drive on a gravel road suitable for all cars. The guesthouse is a separate building with 6 rental units situated on a large working horse farm. We rented a unit with its own large private bathroom for one night and our stay was quite comfortable. The included breakfast was also good. We visited the horses in the stable, then we went on our way.

Beautiful location and lovely guesthouse on a nice farm. We arrived pretty late here around 10 PM and our stay was ruined by by wet sheets for the sofa bed. I msged the property and they did respond by offering to give me directions to where I can go find alternate sheets. Being very exhausted, just wanted to eat dinner and goto bed. Tried to adjust by using the extra comforter as a sheet but when we went to bed past 11, found that was wet as well. Had a horrible night sleep as we tried to shuffle sleeping arrangements. They did offer us free bfast for the inconvinience but wasn't able to make use of it as we had to rush to the airport in the morning. Overall the only place in our almost 2 week trip around Iceland that was not great. In general, it could be great place and maybe our experience was an anomaly but for the price we paid was not at all satisfied with our stay.

In general the appartement is good, but lot of little things are very annoying. In the kitchen there is only 3 cutlery set and no good place to store them... We were 3 so it was enough for us but we needed to clean them to have something for eating in the morning... The appartment is made for 4, good luck for those who will came at 4 and eat with only 3 cutlery set !!! There are no paper towels in the kitchen either... This is essential (and basic) when you rent a flat with a kitchen ! When we arrived we needed to empty the dishwasher from the previous guest... It should have been done by the cleaning team BEFORE we arrived !!!! In the bathroom, there is no bin... It cost 15€ and is very helpfull, basic and essential to have ! It's a shame to not have it... There is also a very bad smell in the bathroom (like wet dog or sweating), it's probably due to lot of humidity in this room. A vents in this room should have not been too much ! Lot of little problem that can be solved very easily and with a very low cost.

Overall a nice stay but only dirty dishes in the lounge area and the impossibility to find a clean cup to have a well deserved cup of tea will cost a star here considering the price of the night. That should be pretty basic. But the rest was totally fine.

Clean, comfortable, easy to find, beautiful property, and the staff were great. Check in was very easy. Free breakfast was a bonus! The common area upstairs offered a great place to hang out after a long travel day. It is a shared bathroom with two other rooms but that was not a problem. The horses were so great too!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr ruhig gelegen aber Trotzdem nur ca 15 min zum nächsten Ort entfernt. Die Umgebung ist idyllisch und man hat viele Pferde vor dem Haus. In der Unterkunft befindet sich ein urig- gemütliches Gemeinschaftswohnzimmer mit 2 Balkonen, einem Kühlschrank, großem Fernseher mit Netflix und der Möglichkeit sich Kaffee und Tee zu machen. Ein sauberes modernes Bad haben wir uns mit einem weiteren Zimmer geteilt. Das Zimmer war klein aber in ordnung. Wir hatten einen eigenen Fernseher und das Bett war sehr bequem. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück ist eher kleiner, aber vollkommen ausreichend und normal für ein Gästehaus. Auch die Lage ist Ideal für nahezu alle Ausflüge im Süden. Wir würden wieder kommen

This place was a gem of a find! Loved it! The room was very spacious and we had one with a private bathroom which was a really nice bathroom. There are several common areas where you can sit and relax as well as areas outside. Loved seeing the horses. They let you go into the stables as well which is amazing. One of the most comfortable sleeps we had on our vacation. We found a restaurant just at 15 minute drive away to Hvolsvollur and ate at Svo which was good. Highly recommend Armot Guesthouse to anyone travelling in Iceland!!

Great for 3 of us. Lots of room, big bathroom and full kitchen in a beautiful location. Close to town with great restaurants, gas, groceries, etc. Very quiet.

Great place to stay. We had a suite with a private bathroom so had plenty of space. The bed was comfortable and it was very quiet. The included breakfast was very good as well. Staff were very helpful and it's a nice perk to have the working stables right next to the guest house. Blackout curtains kept the room fairly dark, though there was no cover for the bathroom window and the frosted glass door for the bathroom didn't block much of the light coming in through that route. But that's the only minor negative I have... Overall it was an excellent place to spend a couple nights. Easy access to a few good sights too. (BTW, be sure to rent a 4x4 so you can visit Stakkholtsgka Canyon. It's a beauty.)

Great stay. Very quiet. Loved the extra long bathtub in the Jr suite upstairs (104) I couldn’t get the plug to quite work, but used a plastic bag and it worked.

This is a quiet and clean guesthouse that is a good option after the Golden Circle if you are going to go south towards Vik. The beds were comfortable and there were blackout shades. There is a full kitchen and a washer. The dryer was a wall/towel type dryer. There is a unpaved road to get to the house. Go slow in a small car and it’s fine. I recommend this house. It’s safe and modern.

Amazing property in middle of beautiful landscape. Property was clean, safe and right size for a family on vacation. Owner was very responsive and answered my calls at the very first ring. Only suggestion i have for the property owner is to have a small store with basic groceries for families to purchase ( Oil, bread, eggs, veggies, ice cream, etc.,). Overall an excellent property!

Apartamento amplo, reformado, bem confortável e bonito. Linda vista pelas janelas bem grandes. Cozinha nova e completa! Localização muito bonita e tranquila, mas bem afastada de qualquer local. Não ha funcionarios no local, mas as duas vezes que precisei conversar com alguém, fui prontamente atendido pelo telefone e as duvidas foram resolvidas rapidamente e de maneira cordial.

Ármót Guesthouse was a perfect place for our first night in Iceland. There was 3 of us travelling and we each had our own room in the cabin. The cabin had everything we needed with a bonus view of the horse fields. The area was quiet and all instructions for entering the self check in cabin were clear. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Beautiful location and lovely guesthouse on a nice farm. We arrived pretty late here around 10 PM and our stay was ruined by by wet sheets for the sofa bed. I msged the property and they did respond by offering to give me directions to where I can go find alternate sheets. Being very exhausted, just wanted to eat dinner and goto bed. Tried to adjust by using the extra comforter as a sheet but when we went to bed past 11, found that was wet as well. Had a horrible night sleep as we tried to shuffle sleeping arrangements. They did offer us free bfast for the inconvinience but wasn't able to make use of it as we had to rush to the airport in the morning. Overall the only place in our almost 2 week trip around Iceland that was not great. In general, it could be great place and maybe our experience was an anomaly but for the price we paid was not at all satisfied with our stay.

The breakfast provided was plentiful and the staff was kind and helpful. We loved the remoteness and quiet time this gave us. I honestly wish we hadn't been so busy. I would have loved to have more time to relax there.

We were blessed to find this gem after an unexpected bad experience elsewhere. The beauty and serenity of the guesthouse’s apartment unit completely got us back on track. We stayed for three nights, and headed out travelling each day. There were many local conveniences (grocery, gas, restaurants, etc) and the well-stocked apartment made us feel right at home the minute we walked in. Being from a rural area in southern Ontario, we appreciated being on a farm in Iceland. Would highly recommend this property, especially for those looking for solitude.

We stayed in the private apartment for three nights. The location is great for exploring the South Coast. We could have easily stayed here longer as there is so much to see and do within an hour or so of drive. The apartment was roomy and well equipped. We had a full kitchen with a little dishwasher. We had beautiful views of the horse farm, and mountains in the distance. There was also a river behind the farm.

Like so many guesthouses in Iceland, it is remote. It’s part of a horse farm. This however is part of the charm. How wonderful to look out the windows at the horses grazing, and being welcome to walk through the stables and pet these beautiful animals. Restaurants are about a fifteen minute drive, so prepare accordingly. I’d definitely stay again.

To get there there is probably a 6-7 km drive on a gravel road suitable for all cars. The guesthouse is a separate building with 6 rental units situated on a large working horse farm. We rented a unit with its own large private bathroom for one night and our stay was quite comfortable. The included breakfast was also good. We visited the horses in the stable, then we went on our way.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr ruhig gelegen aber Trotzdem nur ca 15 min zum nächsten Ort entfernt. Die Umgebung ist idyllisch und man hat viele Pferde vor dem Haus. Ein sauberes modernes Bad haben wir uns mit einem weiteren Zimmer geteilt. Das Zimmer war klein aber in ordnung. Wir hatten einen eigenen Fernseher und das Bett war sehr bequem. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück ist eher kleiner, aber vollkommen ausreichend und normal für ein Gästehaus. Auch die Lage ist Ideal für nahezu alle Ausflüge im Süden. Wir würden wieder kommen

Quaint guesthouse on a real Icelandic horse farm. We stayed at the apartment, which had lots of space, full-stocked kitchen (although we could not find silverware!), and bathroom. It was lovely to wake up to horses roaming free outside our window. The breakfast was delicious and appreciated. We'd stay there again as it was convenient on our road trip.

Great place to stay. We had a suite with a private bathroom so had plenty of space. The bed was comfortable and it was very quiet. The included breakfast was very good as well. Staff were very helpful and it's a nice perk to have the working stables right next to the guest house. Blackout curtains kept the room fairly dark, though there was no cover for the bathroom window and the frosted glass door for the bathroom didn't block much of the light coming in through that route. But that's the only minor negative I have... Overall it was an excellent place to spend a couple nights. Easy access to a few good sights too. (BTW, be sure to rent a 4x4 so you can visit Stakkholtsgka Canyon. It's a beauty.)

Lovely stay on an equestrian centre. The guesthouse was clean and comfortable with an enormous upstairs sitting room with tea and coffee available. Breakfast was adequate but convenient. It was lovely to see the Icelandic horses outside the window and to be able to visit the stables to meet them up close.

Clean, comfortable, easy to find, beautiful property, and the staff were great. Check in was very easy. Free breakfast was a bonus! The common area upstairs offered a great place to hang out after a long travel day. It is a shared bathroom with two other rooms but that was not a problem. The horses were so great too!

Great location for viewing Northen Lihjts between Reykjavik and Vik, off the main highway so plenty of darkness to vie the stars and lights! We stayed in the apartment unit 3 - awesome with full kitchen and private bath too!

This property was wonderful. Very clean and well maintained. There could have been some hand lotion. The horses were beautiful and the accommodations were very nice. Quiet and peaceful. We would definitely recommend staying here in the private apartment.

Bring food because the location is far from everything. The shower drain did no work properly, it was overflowing very easily. The smoke detector started beeping due to low battery. We mentioned it to the host but ignored us since the beeping had stopped. It restarted again at 2am in the morning :(. Having access to the horse farm was a big plus for our child.
