Quality Inn Takoma Park

The room was smelled clean, bed was comfortable, had enough towels for 2 day stay. Parking was easy, plenty, and next to rooms. Only issue was the television wasn't working and not fixed although i notified office staff.

The positives: price was right. Room was clean. Tv had a sleep timer, lots of parking, breakfast, next door to ihop The negatives: bed was rock hard. Bathroom and toilet were tiny. Could hear noises in neighboring rooms and people hanging around outside their rooms. Fortunately they all went to bed when I did. Pool was closed. Check-in was painful. The kid at the counter did his best but had to reboot the computer in between check ins. I was #3 in line and took 25 minutes to get my key.

I have to say I've never been this disappointed in a Quality Inn. The desk lady didn't pay attention to me when I tried to request a 1st floor room because my wife is disabled and she handed me off to another person who also didn't listen. The "pool" wasn't open or even uncovered and they are using the whole area as junk storage, and old wood pallets laying on the ground outside of some of the rooms. The room was clean but there were holes in the wall where something had been pulled down and not patched and there were stains on the bed covers.

There is no breakfast provided by the hotel as stated.. None of the vending or coffee machines were working and staff were blatantly stating there is no breakfast.. no cleanliness on the stairways nor the room cleaned.. the AC wasn’t working half the time and the intercom phone also not working.. overall it is a disappointing stay there

The hotel has a terrible problem of homeless people and local drug addicts invading the breakfast lounge. Of the 5 nights and 6 Days I stayed, we encountered such unwanted guests on 3 days.My suggestion to the management would be a simple solution of a key fob based entry to the breakfast lounge and will go a long way to bring value to the rest of the good work you are doing. Other than this, the hotel rooms are clean, the parking lot looks newly done and the staff are nice

No drinking water in property. Only a vending machines was the source of drink water but no water bottles in the vending machine. When tried to raise the issue, no one picked the phone in the reception. Had to find the hotel phone number and reach them and raise the issue. The person in charge raised his voice, was confronting, said that he is not the owner.

very good place to access to restaurant and grocery. parking is very close but share the parking lot with other motels feel it is not really safe.

Our garbage was never emptied and was overflowing when we left. We also had to find someone to bring us toilet paper. Staff in office not welcoming and not always in the office when we needed her (check in and check out) It was also hard talking to her through the bulletproof glass. The cleaning lady was very nice though.

A Car got broken into in the lot.

This was so terribly dirty there was fecal matter splattered next to the toilet on arrival, mold on everything, dirty sheets, makeup on the pillows, random white liquid sprayed on bathroom door the switches were black with hand goi and falling off the wall.

The room was clean but outside and the stairs are terrible, dirty. Never again. I will never sleep at quality inn again. Even the bed sheets were not really clean.

Everything inside the hotel rooms was dirty. Towels had stains, bedsheets, couch so filthy. Room smell like smoke. Toilet seat super old and dirty. I would not recommend.

The area was not the greatest. The first room we were given was not cleaned. Dirty beds and garbage in the room. They did give us another room but it smelt like weed and old cigarettes and there was no hot water. The walls are not sound proof and the conjoining door was not very secure (I moved the fridge in front of it). Would not recommend.

Staff was rude! The bed sheets were not changed they had stains and smelled horrible. Dead roaches everywhere. The shower walls were black w dirt. People up all hours of the night screaming drinking smoking. The rooms reeked so bad of cigarets. HORRIBLE!!!! Do not stay in this hotel!!!

The feeling this hotel gave me was truly awful. The moment I stepped in, I regretted it. As soon as I entered, a suffocating stench hit me. The dirty counter, the shabby coffee machine, and even the staff looked like drug addicts. The room was also filled with a musty smell. Water from the refrigerator was all over the floor. The bed sheets and covers seemed never to have been changed. There were hairs left by previous guests everywhere. I was woken up by bed bugs in the middle of the night. I left this place as soon as it was light. If you see my feedback, please don't stay at this hotel. Otherwise, I guarantee you will regret it just like me.

Hotel is old and decrepit. There was an insect infestation. I will never stay there again!

Noisy adjoining room, opening front door was a struggle, entry light switch was not working, fewer towels in room,

The toilet/ bath did not have proper ventilation and smelled. The space was renovated and clean as far as you closed toilet door

My son and i Booked this hotel,based on past reviews.First opened the door smelled like sewage,2 it felt wet in the room the whole time i dont think the air con worked properly 3 the beds were like sleeping on the floor ,went to office.and was blown off 4 it was terribly dirty and the bathroom was so small just terrible all around for.what i paid. Would not recommend

The walls in the rooms are paper thin; I could hear everything in neighboring rooms. Over 5 nights there was never a freshening of the room done; I thought something like that should/would be standard, at least midway through; as it usually is at other hotels. The tiny shampoo, conditioner, and lotion bottles were refilled; this is fine to save on waste of tiny bottles, but even worse was that the shampoo seemed intentionally diluted with water, which seems like a really strange way to expand the life of it. The tub wouldn’t plug. You also had to basically stand hovered over the toilet or in the tub to get the bathroom door to close. Having a fridge and microwave is nice, but the rattle and hum of the motor made noise, though not enough to muffle sound from the neighboring rooms. Breakfast was ok at best, but was just a rinse and repeat of the same cereal, yogurt, and waffle batter. The facility is located right next to a bus stop coming from the metro, with one across the street that goes in the opposite direction to the metro station. This was of immense value to help get around. There are a couple of food options, convenience stores, and an Aldi market within reasonable walking distance. I didn’t have too many interactions with any staff. Even if upgrades do happen to the facility, I likely would not stay again, and would look for other options.

Is it possible to have A/C without a constant high-pitch whining sound?

We had an issue with check in because my Expedia account was still under my maiden name while my license is under my recently married name. It took 30 minutes of back-and-forth to be able to check in. There was also a lot of noise from the apartments on either side at all hours of the day and night, including loud cursing. On our third night there the room next-door had what seemed like burnt toast smoke from a toaster coming through the door in between the two rooms. Otherwise it was clean enough, comfortable, and close enough to the things that we wanted to do .

First of all it was a classic motel (park in front), not a hotel. The property was almost entirely paved, other than the buildings. The receptionist was surly. The first room had a loud, high-pitched hum from the heater/fan that wouldn't stop. I complained and was reassigned another room. This room was clean but dingy. There was daylight showing between the door and the door frame. It was extremely BASIC. The toilet was so short, you had to bend down to reach it. The refrigerator cooled only weakly, never cold. We left after one night.

I gave $50.00 credit deposit for accidentals only, however, have not received that credit for $50.00 on my CC. Will not select this property again. This trip was for health reasons!

I waited in the lobby for 25 minutes to check in, but no one was at the check-in window.

The stay was good staff a little rude but everything else was ok

Staff is unprofessional and rude. Noone was at reception when i arrive i had to wait for more than 30 mins to get a room. When the person came to give key for room was really rude and unprofessional. This Hotel management should be ashamed of running the hotel in this manner . I would highly recommend to stay away from this property.

DO NOT STAY HERE. They demand you charge your account for an additional $50 for “incidentals.” A sign at the desk says they will refund it the day you check out. First, there are no incidentals. It’s a budget motel. Second, they now tell me I’ll see my money in 5-10 days. The bed was ok. But the “breakfast” was the worst.

the highway divider made it dfficult to turn in drive when coming from the north. hd to Uturn or use neighboring driv e to get in. good hotel breakfast IHOP next door good. small strip mall up the hill alittle came reccomended from family member. not enough room for feet when closing or opening door in batrroom from the inside.

The tub wouldn’t plug. You also had to basically stand hovered over the toilet or in the tub to get the bathroom door to close. Location easy get to

Very affordable price. Close proximity to Washington DC. Good rate and nice one for family stay with all required shops around.

Clean, quiet area during my one night stay. Room had all the amenities, front desk person did her job but no welcoming appearance. Breakfast starts too early 6 am to 9 am and missed breakfast 5 minutes after 9 am with no exceptions. Should end at 10 am for those that need to sleep in from late traveling.

Room was better than some reviews here write. It was clean, the bed was fine, everything worked. There are indeed some noisy and sketch-looking types sometimes in the parking lot. Friendly breakfast tips: (1) Don't believe the 2-1/2 minute timer on the waffle-maker. They come out with partly raw batter. Instead, let your waffle cook 3 or 3-1/2 minutes. (2) When they run out of stuff (syrup for waffles, yogurts), INSIST the front desk clerk tell the assistant to get more. They don't like to be bothered. (3) Although breakfast is officially till 9 am, they start taking down stuff 10-15 minutes early. So, get there by then if you want breakfast.

I have a few issues. I was 1st placed in room 159 which had a broken toilet/ didnt flush . Phone and tv didnt work. My switch to room 273 was great. Continental breakfast was terrible. On 4/10 there was no juice , no bagels, no hard boiled eggs no waffles.Only milk , cereal tea/ coffee. On 4/11 there was waffles and cereal , milk , water and tea only. Continental bkfst should always consists of cereal, hard boiled eggs, waffles, bagels/ pastries. Juice apple, cranberry and orange in my opinion.

For the price point it even included breakfast. The coffee maker in the room did not work tho.

Stayed here in an emergency situation and would only do it because I was traveling alone. I would not spend any time here with family. The hotel and even the room were not clean, the bathtub easily clogged with every shower. The "continental breakfast" is just a waffle maker and some cereal.

The check-in was slow. The remote didn’t work. The pillows were very small. The breakfast was okay. The price was low and balanced the negatives.

The room we stayed in had a heavy bad smell as if years after years someone smoked strong cigars in that room. In the morning they started drilling walls next to our room at 9am when we barely woke up. Checkout was at 11 but we wanted to sleep as much as we could before checkout since we checked in after midnight. I paid extra $20 to get the breakfast included. However, their breakfast is really poor quality compared to other competitors like super8, days-inn, etc. All I could eat is corn-flex with milk. No egg, no banana, no bread, no bagel, nothing else. They had a waffle maker but that takes too long and many people in the line. I could have great breakfast at a TimHortons with $20 for both of us.
