It was really nice I was expecting to be on the beach but it was across the road from beach we did have a room facing the beach. And we really enjoyed it. The pool was very nice and big with lots of seating around it.

I want to start with the staff was wonderful for everything. The hotel itself could use some big updates, however. We were in a room on the 5th floor and our carpet felt damp at all times. The ice machines were broken on floors 3, 4, & 5. The toilet flushed very slowly and sometimes needed to be flushed more than once. The conditioner that was attached to the wall flew off the wall when I tried to use it. The television had to be turned off for a "reboot" twice. There was a strong smell of air freshener in the hotel lobby, and cigarette butts around the fire pit. The outdoor pool was very nice, but the pool's bathroom the light in the ladies room was out so it was very dark and there were no paper towels. But the staff was very friendly and the servers at the restaurant/bar (Beau, and some others) were incredibly accommodating to my husband and our 2 kids. Overall, we'd probably stay there again but the hotel could sure use some TLC from Marriot. They have the right people working there but it needs a big refresh and repairs.

There were some things we were disappointed about, but nothing major. One elevator was inop, exit door not working, toilet handle was not working like it should. We had everything we needed, but little amenities. Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Overall a good place for the price.

Pool was nice n large. Very nice girl in Bristo. Had plumbing problems in our room. Manager addressed those issues quickly. Upgraded us to new room, with pool view. Worst are that needs help is front desk. Poor customer service. Called hotel after returning home was put on hold not once but twice, for over 15 minutes each time and no one ever picked up phone to talk to me. I had left something in room and was going to see if they found item and get item mailed to me. I would stay here again but hotel needs better service at front desk. Hotel room was spacious, but needed deep cleaning , especially in bathroom but room was comfortable.

Cons: Very strong carpet/bathroom cleaner and/or air freshener smell in lobby. Room smelled moldy. Bed was uncomfortable, felt like sofa bed mattress. Hot water in shower was “warm” at best. Very limited food hours. On site restaurant not open for lunch. Pros: AC worked great, pillows were comfortable.

The first room was smelly. We requested a new room and got one but it was just as bad. They tried to cover it up with spray. The two double beds were not the same. One corner of one bed was sticking up. Bathroom had mold. No shower gel or shampoo.

This did not feel like a Marriott. Our room had blood on pillow, hotel had no WiFi, and hot water wasn’t working in room. Rooms are very outdated and not clean. Please consider before you book because this was not a true Marriott experience.

Everybody there was super friendly and we were able to check in TWO hours early, which was amazing. Right across the street from the beach, pool was in good condition. The room quality was okay, it was very quiet but the AC leaked water which soaked the carpet around the unit, mildew in the bathroom and broken tiles.

The bed was something that Wilma and Fred Flintstone would have slept on - felt like it was a slab of hard rock. The air freshener used in the lobby was incredibly strong and seeped into our 1st floor room. We asked for a resolution and were offered nothing beyond being told the hotel was full. We expect more from Marriott.

The property and location itself was perfect. The lobby looked and smelled amazing. Very updated and overall welcoming. The room however, was not so much. We were given room 103 and the room was clean but there was a large water stain by the air conditioning unit. The television was a little outdated by the amount of color shifting and brightness changing without wanting it. The bathroom had an odd smell with the toilet roll holder cubby being dusty. A lot of scratched and tears against the furnitures and bathroom appliances. Things like that. It wasn’t bad enough to switch rooms for a 2 night stay but it was noticeable. Overall the stay was good but not excellent compared to other Marriott branded hotels I have stayed at.

The staff was very friendly. Check-in was quick and simple. I loved that my room was only 10 steps from the elevator. I had a nice view of the beach and it was convenient to some very good Gulf Coast restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Didn’t use the pool but it looked inviting. Our room 401 was newly redecorated with fresh paint, carpet, modern lighting and was clean throughout. Tub was dated. Across the street from the Gulf of MEXICO. No complimentary breakfast but they did offer a cooked to order from the menu for a fee. I would definitely stay here again. 9/18/25 for 3 nights.

I was disappointed that when we checked in and got to our room it had not been cleaned. We had to go back to the front desk and get another room. Later that night, I was in the room alone, thankfully I had used the extra lock on the door. The front desk had checked someone else in to our room and they were trying to come in.

The first night I arrived we were awake with the fire department banging on the door. We had to evacuate the building after 1am. Then the system was down for the remainder of the visit. I was attempting to stay an additional night…… NO WAY TO BOOK! My expectations were much higher for such a beautiful property. Left a message for GM NEVER A RESPONSE.

I can say I won’t be staying here again. The toilet in our room wouldn’t flush, kept having to fill up the back with water. Informed the “general manager” only to be told “I have no other room for you- I didn’t ask for another room I asked if someone can look at the toilet- again was told “we have no maintenance person to call” so I said okay well what can we do- I’ll comp you the lady said, asked the room number and wasn’t very kind. When we went to check out the sweetest girl working the desk checked to see if we had actually been comped like the “manager” said and we had no so she fixed that for us.

Everything about this hotel was amazing! I would recommend adding the breakfast option when reserving your room, as I did. It was discounted this way. I love that the hotel was away from the other hotels, we were not crowded on the beach at all. We were next to Shaggy's and down the street from Island View casino.
