I have stayed here twice during the race meet in August. It is beautiful and each room is individually decorated so no two are alike. The common areas, outside porch, living room and study are gorgeous. The custom included breakfast in the dining area was very good and freshly prepared. The only issue was, our room was on the third floor, and as older adults we found it difficult. Next time I will ask for a second floor room!

What a lovely time for a two day stay. The property was under construction so I feel like once this stage is completed it will be a true gem to stay at. The breakfast was served on the smaller portion. But adequate. Evening tea was provided along with snacks. The staff was super friendly. If possible we would love to stay here again.

The building was fabulously restored and decorated for the Christmas holidays. Breakfast was very good and the dining room, living room and library were period decorated and beautiful. Will stay there again! Happy Holidays!

We loved our stay! If possible, having different breakfast options each day might make longer stays a bit better, rather than the same menu each day. I’d recommend a manager’s “reception” each night with wine, cheese, fruit, etc. The house is definitely made for entertaining. Also, while the soaps in the bathroom were nice, switching to a spa brand might also make it a bit nicer. Our room, the Maria Pia was very comfortable and it was nice hanging out in the common areas. The parking was incredible, given the historic home’s location. I’d definitely recommend the Batcheller Mansion Inn and stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bacheller. Location was great, could walk to everything downtown. Our room was nice and clean, also liked the nice backyard and patio. Would definitely stay again

Beautiful mansion. Nice room. Old charm. Bathroom was huge. Stayed in McKinley. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Proximity to downtown was great. Walked to Druthers for dinner in 10 mins. Walked to The Thirsty Owl for dessert and wine in 5 mins. No real complaints about place but we likely won’t return. Too many stairs for me. Note that check in is 3pm. Not sooner. They don’t have traditional front desk.

This was a wonderful place to stay. We so enjoyed the history and the beauty of the mansion. Martha made an excellent breakfast every morning and was very kind. The library was a wonderful place to relax in the afternoons and enjoy some quiet time reading. The porches and the outdoor area were also beautiful places to relax. It was very convenient to the downtown area with nice restaurants. I would highly recommend people to stay here when you visit the areas Saratoga Springs.

My husband and I stayed at the mansion for 3 nights and loved it! We’re not frequent B&Bers but sometimes it’s nice to avoid big corporate hotels for a change. The location was great , about a 3-5 min walk to the main strip, just far enough to be peaceful and quiet. The mansion is absolutely gorgeous and well cared for. The room was spotless, charming and expansive. Breakfast was delicious. Check in was seamless with Doug. The only reason I had to knock a star off is this: On night one, we were fully asleep and woke to a plastic bag ruffling sound… we thought nothing of it and tried to fall back asleep. A few minutes later the sound came back and seemed to be inside the room so we turned the lights on to find a mouse flitting under the door after rummaging in the garbage can. Well I’ll tell you I can’t sleep knowing a mouse is about. So we got rid of the garbage and stuffed a towel under the door to discourage him from coming back and never saw him again. I understand this is a normal thing for old houses and that’s exactly what we were told when we reported it to someone. So… I think I’m done with the B&B life for now despite loving every other experience there.

The exterior of the building is beautiful, but deceptive. It is very tired inside. The rooms are like a motel with a mini fridge, that hums and rattles, through the night, placed randomly and a tv with a spider web of wires. The pillows make noises from their synthetic fibers and the road traffic will wake you many times through the night. The window AC will vibrate the floor when it runs. The cielings are pealing. The rules are quite antiquated. They will scold you if you have your cell phone out at breakfast, even if it is just to read the newspaper. It all felt worn out with burned out staff. There are a lot of great alternatives in beautiful Saratoga. I would not recommend this place to friends or family.

Absolutely one of the best stays while traveling I’ve had in quite some time. The mansion is absolutely stunning, very clean, a cozy spot to stay. Doug the caretaker is a absolute treasure and made the stay so special. He was kind, was helpful answering questions for me as I was traveling alone, made great recommendations, and was just such a pleasure to chat with. I plan on definitely returning with my husband for a weekend away to explore Saratoga and won’t even think of staying anywhere else other then here again!

This property is truly a hidden gem. Had I known how much we would enjoy it and how awesome it was we would have definitely stayed longer than one night. Spotlessly clean, beautiful and historic. Great service from everyone we encountered. We would love to get back and spend more time here.

The mansion was absolutely beautifully kept. Martha was extremely attentive to us as guests of the mansion. Our room was well maintained and very clean. I loved all the attention to detail that is put into keeping the mansion clean and hospitable. You will not find a dusty surface or smudged mirror in the whole place. I saw how housekeeping cleaned and it was very commendable. They cleaned like they cared. Breakfast was very special and we felt well taken care of. I would highly recommend the experience. Martha was great with making sure we were happy with our stay.

We were disappointed that the whirlpool tub in our room was not usable, materials came out of the tub jets. The breakfast was disappointing - just eggs on a plate with no toast or potatoes offered. Fruit was tiny portion and a store bought container of yogurt.

Property was very unique. Lovely architecture and history. It’s very close to shopping and restaurants. Unfortunately staff wasn’t very friendly. We called multiple times to ask about check in w no answer. Breakfast was only served limited times (8:30 the earliest) and there was no coffee or tea available earlier than breakfast and no options in the room. We had to ask for more towels w a multiple night stay. The room only had a window air conditioner and fan. Considering the cost we definitely expected more.

Beautiful mansion. Nice room. Old charm. Bathroom was huge. Stayed in McKinley. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Proximity to downtown was great. Walked to Druthers for dinner in 10 mins. Walked to The Thirsty Owl for dessert and wine in 5 mins. No real complaints about place but we likely won’t return. Too many stairs for me. Note that check in is 3pm. Not sooner. They don’t have traditional front desk.

This was a wonderful place to stay. We so enjoyed the history and the beauty of the mansion. Martha made an excellent breakfast every morning and was very kind. The library was a wonderful place to relax in the afternoons and enjoy some quiet time reading. The porches and the outdoor area were also beautiful places to relax. Found this online and just decided to book it for a night. It was a gem! The place is gorgeous, Martha who runs the house was friendly and a great cook! Price was very fair considering it's Saratoga Springs and it is within easy walking distance of downtown. I would return in a minute and will advise family members and friends to do the same.

This home could be a museum. It been restored and kept up beautifully. Breakfast was included and was fantastic, as was all of the staff that we interacted with. I have a feeli bf we will be back, and we only live an hour away. 3-4 blocks walking got us to tons of restaurants, shopping and nightlife.

My husband and I stayed at the mansion for 3 nights and loved it! We’re not frequent B&Bers but sometimes it’s nice to avoid big corporate hotels for a change. The location was great , about a 3-5 min walk to the main strip, just far enough to be peaceful and quiet. The mansion is absolutely gorgeous and well cared for. The room was spotless, charming and expansive. Breakfast was delicious. Check in was seamless with Doug. The only reason I had to knock a star off is this: On night one, we were fully asleep and woke to a plastic bag ruffling sound… we thought nothing of it and tried to fall back asleep. A few minutes later the sound came back and seemed to be inside the room so we turned the lights on to find a mouse flitting under the door after rummaging in the garbage can. Well I’ll tell you I can’t sleep knowing a mouse is about. So we got rid of the garbage and stuffed a towel under the door to discourage him from coming back and never saw him again. I understand this is a normal thing for old houses and that’s exactly what we were told when we reported it to someone. So… I think I’m done with the B&B life for now despite loving every other experience there.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bacheller. Location was great, could walk to everything downtown. Our room was nice and clean, also liked the nice backyard and patio. Would definitely stay again

The building was fabulously restored and decorated for the Christmas holidays. Breakfast was very good and the dining room, living room and library were period decorated and beautiful. Will stay there again! Happy Holidays!

We were disappointed that the whirlpool tub in our room was not usable, materials came out of the tub jets. The breakfast was disappointing - just eggs on a plate with no toast or potatoes offered. Fruit was tiny portion and a store bought container of yogurt.

We loved our stay! If possible, having different breakfast options each day might make longer stays a bit better, rather than the same menu each day. I’d recommend a manager’s “reception” each night with wine, cheese, fruit, etc. The house is definitely made for entertaining. Also, while the soaps in the bathroom were nice, switching to a spa brand might also make it a bit nicer. Our room, the Maria Pia was very comfortable and it was nice hanging out in the common areas. The parking was incredible, given the historic home’s location. I’d definitely recommend the Batcheller Mansion Inn and stay here again!

We enjoyed the historical aspect of this property. There was amazing crown molding, art work, windows, and it made us feel like we were in a palace. The dining room had a beautiful crystal chandelier, cozy round tables for two, antique furniture, and fine china. We met the other guests on the porch and we really enjoyed our conversation. Highly recommended!!

This place is very cool if you are into Victorian architecture. The staff was very nice. You pick your breakfast items the evening before and they serve it at your selected time. It was fresh out of the kitchen, right on time, and delicious.
