Obviously is a hotel well frequented by travels as it’s starting to tire since I last stayed. Restaurant and pool area was closed due to hiring out to events.

I didn't like that the weekend cleaning staff weren't very thorough. In room dining menu was scarce of meat dishes, but the food was delicious anyway. There was also a Sundays and public holidays surcharge on room service. However the room itself, was fantastic! The view was nice, the room and furniture were neat, tidy and clean. An in-room coffee pod machine with complementary pods and bottled water. The bed was extremely comfortable and luxurious. The staff were great and very helpful. Unfortunately there was no information upon/during booking about the gym and pool currently being under renovation. This was very disappointing as access to these facilities were at 2 seperate locations within an 800m radius of Ovolo. This was disclosed to me only at check-in.

Stayed at Ovolo Brisbane the Valley and overall had a great experience. The hotel itself is stylish and well-located, making it easy to explore the area. The room was a little on the small side, but still comfortable and functional. One downside was housekeeping. The room wasn’t serviced until around 3–4pm the following day, which felt quite late. On the plus side, complimentary bottled water was a nice touch and much appreciated. The biggest surprise was the parking fee: $60 per day for valet or onsite parking. That’s steep sometimes more than the cost of flights or even car hire and fuel! If you’re driving, I’d recommend looking for nearby parking alternatives to save some serious cash. All in all, not too bad worth considering if you’re after a boutique stay in a vibrant location.

We stayed there 3 years ago and we really liked it but it was very disappointing this time the room had no character and the air con was very very noisy. You have to pay $60 for parking which is not mentioned when you make the booking it says parking available not Valet parking which is a bit misleading. I did call beforehand to reserve parking and was told "no problem we have plenty of parking". I will never stay there again.

Staff were brilliant - very welcoming and engaging. The rooftop bar was the perfect place to spend a few hours, enjoy the view and indulge in the fantastic food on offer. Only spent one night, but would definitely be back.

Ovolo used to be our favourite hotel to stay in Brisbane. The perks of the mini bar inclusion was our highlight, as we only indulge when we're away. Sadly this perk has been removed. So sad! Hotel states parking included, but had to pay $60 for Valet Parking. Large Room was great as always though. Clean and comfortable and not noisy, even though the hotel was fully booked. Breakfast inclusion .. excellent.

Extremely tired hotel. Had to move rooms because the first room was so musty. No hot water in the bathroom sink. No clean towel change. No room service. They mistakenly charged me breakfast even though I didn’t have it and told them so. Arctic reception and pool. I really have nothing good to say about the experience from start to finish apart from the location being convenient.

From check in to check out the staff were amazing. Rooms are great too look at and very clean. This was for a business trip with 2 separate rooms and we were upgraded to the spa rooms for both of us which was a very welcome gesture. The only negative and this was from both rooms is that the beds where the most uncomfortable beds (and pillows) that I have experienced in 1000+ nights of hotels in my life, from 3 star to 5 star. They were so hard that both I and the other party (who is a tiny Asian woman) both basically got no sleep either night there and both had sore heads and shoulders from not being able to get comfortable. Not sure what the deal is or maybe they just need to put mattress toppers on that are more comfortable (I have stayed at this hotel before without issue) but they just ruined the stay for us. The staff and rest of the trip could not be faulted though.

Room was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable - slept well! Getting warm water in the shower took some time, but overall the stay was pleasant. Valet parking is available but I am not a fan of trusting my vehicle with others - parked under The Callie which was perfect.

The location was quite good but a good walk to the popular places near the river. Staff and services were very good as well as the cleanliness. Breakfast buffet included in my room price was not 5* very average. The room was lovely but there was zero storage in terms of drawers or shelves so I had to live out of my suitcase although the wardrobe hanging space was good. Not enough mirrors near a socket for being able to use hairdryer / straighteners.

We LOVE this hotel! Extraordinary staff who care and are empathetic. They let us check in early, gave us a great hotel room that is so well appointed and had excellent suggestions for nearby shopping and restaurants. The service is second to none and we will happily return here!

This hotel presents as very swish and modern but sadly the staff competency and ability to own, acknowledge and resolve issues is sadly very troubling. Having failed to provide customer service on three seperate occasions including mini bar, room service and calling back in 5 minutes the DM telephoned with hostility and weasel words suggesting that his staff not calling me back in 5 minutes and me calling after 30 minutes meant that his staff had contacted me just amazing.

Excellent location central to all the Theatres and restaurants. Everything you need is a fast Uber or comfortable walk. Just make sure the parking suits your needs and the staff are very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. Plus what a cool atmosphere set by the decor

This fabulous hotel is clean, well-maintained, beautifully appointed and stylish. The vegetarian breakfast has limited options, but the dinner menu in Za Za Ta restaurant is delicious. The hotel staff are superb, but the restaurant experience could improve. The dinner team were excellent, but the breakfast team, though sweet and accommodating, lacked focus. Excellent location central to all the Theatres and restaurants. Everything you need is a fast Uber or comfortable walk. Just make sure the parking suits your needs and the staff are very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. Plus what a cool atmosphere set by the decor

Great location and walkable to everything in fortitude valley. Rooms were sizeable, comfortable and clean - building including bathrooms felt a little dated (small cracks in vanity). You are paying for the location really.

Good hotel, clean room, free minibar. Refurbished old Emporium hotel. Service was mostly good. Valet parking (the only option) was expensive, and the linked restaurants were all vegetarian. Fine for some but don’t expect bacon for breakfast. Didn’t receive any VIP benefits as advertised by Expedia.

We loved the Ovolo. Spacious, clean room with some nice free beverages. Kind, helpful staff. Cool design. Fun neighborhood. Easy walk to all the best restaurants in Brisbane. Very fair price for what you get. The breakfast was really excellent, with some unusual, healthy items. Plus all the basics. Highly recommend.

I didn't like that the weekend cleaning staff weren't very thorough. In room dining menu was scarce of meat dishes, but the food was delicious anyway. There was also a Sundays and public holidays surcharge on room service. However the room itself, was fantastic! The view was nice, the room and furniture were neat, tidy and clean. An in-room coffee pod machine with complementary pods and bottled water. The bed was extremely comfortable and luxurious. The staff were great and very helpful. Unfortunately there was no information upon/during booking about the gym and pool currently being under renovation. This was very disappointing as access to these facilities were at 2 seperate locations within an 800m radius of Ovolo. This was disclosed to me only at check-in.

After reading reviews about free mini bar and gift bag upon arrival I decided to go with them and book. Only to find out when I get there that they just changed there policies and the mini bar is no longer free and no gift bag. So that was very disappointing and think considering that is what I initially booked and paid for before they changed there policies then it should have still been included. The staff did go and source a gift bag which was nice but no free mini bar. Room was clean and ok. Breakfast was not happy with it was cold and u had to wait for your eggs to be cooked which meant that by the time your eggs came u had eaten all the other food. Coffee machine was not hot either. But they did offer a free barista coffee for that. But over all for a 5 star hotel I would not say that is what I got. Not much variety in the buffet breakfast. Would not have paid extra for breakfast if I knew there was not much options and would be cold and had to wait for eggs to be cooked was not worth the money.

Staff were brilliant - very welcoming and engaging. The rooftop bar was the perfect place to spend a few hours, enjoy the view and indulge in the fantastic food on offer. Only spent one night, but would definitely be back.

The location was quite good but a good walk to the popular places near the river. Staff and services were very good as well as the cleanliness. Breakfast buffet included in my room price was not 5* very average. The room was lovely but there was zero storage in terms of drawers or shelves so I had to live out of my suitcase although the wardrobe hanging space was good. Not enough mirrors near a socket for being able to use hairdryer / straighteners.

So that was an ugly unexpected cost of $170 for 2 nights for our car to stay as well(we would’ve explored other options if we’d have known it was $85 a night) so be mindful! In hindsight, $5 a night is unheard of, in our defence we don’t pay for parking etc at our small coastal town so we weren’t to know at the time. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the staff were eager to assist and create a pleasant experience.

Staff were AMAZING. Nothing was a problem & they were so friendly. Room was exactly as explained & finding rooms with a spa bath in the room was easy to book online. Mini bar was stocked with lots of Australian products. Would highly recommend staying there & will be my new go to anytime I am in Brisbane
