Luxury Condo In Downtown Frederick

Girls trip for 1 night. Slept 5 comfortably. 10 min walk to bars and entry/arrival was fine. Asked twice to arrive early to decorate for the occasion and got no responses. Baseboards and walls need to be wiped down. Some areas smelled strong of bleach. Place is decorated cute and very modern. Had to circle around to locate alley we were allowed 1 car in (1 additional car permitted in grass/mud) and it’s tight but fine.

Very nice inside, clean, everything worked, chairs and beds were comfortable. Very nice stay.The backyard where we parked is a bit rough looking, and we're glad it didn't rain as walking from the car to the house is over rather thin grass/dirt. I pulled the car around to the front the night we got dressed up and went out.

The condo is quite spacious, more than expected. We enjoyed the modern touches and private parking is a big plus in downtown Frederick. So close to Carroll Creek and Market St. The hosts are responsive. We highly recommend staying at Gideon Getaways!

My sisters and I were on a short stay to view the sights, shop, and have a gab fest. The unit was really lovely with a great kitchen and large bedrooms. It was so convenient to everything in downtown. We parked are car in the associated parking spot behind the unit and left it there the entire time. Right across the street was the creek canal that allowed provided lovely walk to anywhere downtown. The host was very responsive and provided suggested dining places that could meet one of our parties dietary needs. I would certainly stay here again.

We never received information about accessing the property, so on our drive there we were bounced around between a couple people until we finally got the information. The website needs to be updated to include contact information for the appropriate person. Once we finally did get in contact with the right person, he gave us the information and apologized that previous communications did not go through. The property itself is in a great location. It’s nicely updated with plenty of room to relax and spread out. We had two couples in the unit; three couples would probably have been cramped due to limited seating in the living room area. The property was very clean. My only suggestion for the owners is that they have someone available to remove the snow and ice from the front of the property; there had been a storm in the area a day or so before and the front steps and sidewalk were completely ice covered. We had to buy salt and put it down. The other issue we had was with the thermostat. We would set a temperature but the thermostat would seem to pick its own setting and it was very hot or very cold in the unit.

There are a few places where wear and tear were beginning to show and might need some attention. The bedding was adquate, but not luxury, and the light above the sink in guest bath didn't work. Nor did the toaster in the kitchen. So, minor things that just need a little TLC. But as to location, it couldn't have been better for our purposes. We were going to a concert at Weinberg Center, and also were interested in local history and local food. About a 2-3 block walk to everything, with very safe feeling surroundings. The front door keypad was of a type we'd not seen before, but check-in instructions instructions were good, and once mastered, it was a breeze coming and going. I should note that the Gaithers Alley behind the residence is where you can park, but can only be entered from the west end...it doesn't go though to Ice Street. Not knowing that, we had to loop back around a few blocks to find the entry. After parking, we never had to drive anywhere.Also, this is not a handicap accessible residence. You need to climb stairs to get into it. Not a factor for anyone in our party, but worhty of mention for others considering it.

It was everything we needed close in so we were able to walk everywhere And comfortable. Make sure you understand where off street parking is and how to get there.

Spent a weekend getting to know our grandchildren. This was a great central meeting spot and worked well for infants not yet walking. There are steps off the living room down to the front entrance and you would need to bring a gate to keep little kiddos safe. We all had enough space and loved the kitchen. There was plenty of activities close by. Walking along the creek in the parks was just lovely:everything was in bloom.

It hasn’t been up-kept the way I would expect a home to be on VRBO. Here we’re just a few items that were found wrong in the property: 1. Stain on comforter in bedroom upon check in 2. Master bathroom shower doors come off the hinge 3. Smoke detector was ripped out of the ceiling 4. Towel bar was ripped off the master wall 5. Broken Glass in backyard- due to no landscaping being done in what seems to be like forever. No care to the exterior of the home. This is super dangerous for children who go in the yard and also you park your cars back there- flat tires could happen. 6. Additional hall bath wall by the bathtub is rotting a away on two sides 7. Floors were filthy! My kids walked with no shoes and their feet were black! 8. Railing in front foyer going up stairs is coming off the wall 9. The sofa is destroyed and dirty 10. The hot water breaker tripped so we had no hot water one afternoon. We ended up fixing it. 11. Moldy shower curtain 1:. The master mattress isn’t a mattress- it’s some sort of tri fold 6in thick topper and was so uncomfortable! The pros were the location and the property owner was very responsive when I raised my concerns. With that said, the house needs to have some needed maintenance and new furnishings. Tons of potential.

The stairway handrail from the front entrance to the condo proper is a safety hazard, as it is about to fall off the wall.The bedroom at the rear of the kitchen was unusable during a rainstorm. Must have a metal roof because it sounded like a hundred marbles were continuously hitting the roof. The mattress was the most inferior I have ever encountered in a lifetime of traveling. The worst thing was the bathroom attached to this bedroom had NO hot water! Made it totally unusable. The other bathroom photos show a very luxurious shower set-up, but we soon found out that the only thing that worked was the hand-held sprayer! Unacceptable. The water was lukewarm at best. The living room furniture is barely comfortable. Obviously old, passed down furniture. Also, bugs and spiders were a problem that could be controlled by a few traps. We will not be returning.

We contacted the owner immediately, who did not contact us back until the following day. The maids showed up close to 2 hours after we had been there. We were promised a discount because of the miscommunication. We did not receive one. The second incident occurred 1 day before checkout, when a strange man walked into the house to fix something in the house. We were not informed and he did not knock on the door, he just walked in. Just as with the maids they were unable to speak any English. Again we contacted the host who did not respond until after we checked out. The housekeeping nor maintenance understood English, so there was no help there.communication is something this property lacked the most. Aside from the things the home is great.

The host let us know that the cleaner was rushed so there were clean towels in the dryer for us and left bedding in the washer to wash "next time" without even considering that we'd want to do our own laundry during our stay. The place was surface cleaned. There was a tank top in the drawer, makeup under one of the beds, and LOTs of crumbs and food in the couch. It felt overall fixed up but in the cheapest way possible. The flooring was cut too short in parts and didn't always make it under the baseboards. The bathroom fixtured looked nice but were really cheap, the master bath shower door almost fell off, and the furniture in general was either stained, rundown or very uncomfortable. It looked as if the place was furnished from a thrift shop or college dorm. The toaster would toast but you had to hold down the lever the entire time. There was filtered water and ice built into the fridge but the filter needed to be replaced. On the bright side, the AC worked really well, it felt secure, and it is super walkable to downtown Frederick.

We had a great, problem-free stay at this perfectly located condo. Clean, convenient, quiet - highly recommended! We didn't have any communication with the property manager, which surprised us, but there was no need and we had no issues.

Condo had great potential, but attention to details was lacking. Bar stools were both broken, shower curtain was moldy, kitchen amenities were lacking. For example: frying pan needs to be replaced, not enough pots, no sheet pans, only 2 wine glasses. Flatware is sparse. Trash wasn’t taken to curb for pickup- it was overflowing. Communication from management was bad. Didn’t get any questions answered. One agent said email answer person was on vacation and another said they were having technical problems.

We were attending a wedding in downtown Frederick and it was so nice to be able to stay within a short walk to the venue and the adorable town. Well appointed and clean. Only suggestion is that the unit needs a full length mirror in at least one room. Highly recommend.

Property location was very convenient to town but in an area that is slowly renovating. Could be stocked a little better; ie. wine glasses and utensils. Everything else was as described. Note to owners: toaster doesn't work and the ice maker seems to be freezing up. The steps from the bedrooms to the bathroom need caution.

Cons - sketchy neighborhood, limited parking, limited kitchen dishes, pots and pans, needs more comfortable seating. The kitchen chairs and bar stools were very uncomfortable. A couple of recliners would be nice. We had a great time with relatives even with the rain.

The host was very quick to respond. The only issues/concerns was the bed in the master, was not quite sure what I slept but it was not a conventional mattress, so I would suggest them getting a actual queen size mattress. The orher issue we had was insects in one of the bedrooms no roaches or bed bugs just random insects, it maybe where that room is located or some hole somewhere, we bought some bug spray and were fine. Location is also great!

My now wife and I stayed in this spacious 3-bed apartment for our long wedding weekend! We needed a place that could be ours for a few days while also providing some space for the bridesmaids to get ready and it did wonders! Location is only a couple blocks from the main downtown streets and Carroll Creek and the hosts were communicative and accommodating. Thank you!!

The condo was very good for the price and convenience. I think it definitely needs a little TLC with the furnishing and details. The communication for check-in was pretty poor and it took calling VRBO support to get our checkin instructions within 45 minutes of arrival after my messages were ignored for 2 days leading up to arrival.

This condo was close to shops, restaurants, and parks. We did not have to drive anywhere. The host was helpful and responsive. Overall, a great place for 3 college friends getting together 35 years after graduating!

Rear gutter may need to be cleaned, water dripping constantly, communication before arrival could have been much better, towels were provided after asking.

We stayed one night to enjoy Old Town Frederick! Great location and the home was beautiful!! Easy walk to the canal and restaurants. We will definitely be back!!

We were in Frederick for a family wedding and this place was perfectly situated for our stay. Walking distance to the park, many local eateries and points of interest. Kitchen had everything we needed for making breakfast. Thumbs up!
