I was in a single room which was quite small but had everything I needed. The hotel is opposite the central railway station and at the start of the shopping street which I thought would be noisy but the sound proofing was amazing. The location is ideal for busses, trains and ferries and a nice walk into the old town. The breakfast was excellent, good choices and eggs can be cooked to order. A bar would have been a bonus but not a problem. I would highly recommend.

O hotel é excelente para a categoria dele. Simples, mas tem de tudo. Quartos reformados, de bom tamanho. Café da manhã básico, mas de boa qualidade . Está próximo à estacionamento privado , do Porto e da estação de trem. Ou seja, localização excelente. Rua comercial, cheia de lojas e bons restaurantes e cafés .

We had a wonderful stay at Plaza Hotel Salerno. Staff were excellent, the breakfast was very nice with lots to choose from. The hotel has a very nice feel, staff always greet you and the hotel is immaculately clean with good linen. I dropped my credit card in my hotel room, staff found it after I’d checked out and contacted my bank, who in turn contacted me. They couldn’t have been more helpful. Thank you very much.

Clean room, clean towels…. Good breakfast. Can’t comment on air conditioning as I didn’t use it. Room is a bit outdated. A bit noisy outside. A bit dirty windows with mold. Only one electric socket is certainly not enough even if provided USB3.0 sockets. Sent a message 3 days prior to arrival about o how to get from the airport, no response.

Excellent hotel, 2 mins from station yet quiet rooms. Immaculate clean comfy rooms and the breakfast is good. Welcome at reception very genuine and polite with help given if needed . 100% happy .

Das Zimmer war sauber. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, was Lärm mit sich bringt. Wenn man Fenster und Fensterläden schließt, hört man aber nichts mehr. Eine Klimaanlage ist vorhanden. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut, ob süß oder kräftig, alles vorhanden.

Overall no complaints about this property. I think there isn't much in terms of sound proofing. When I took a shower after arriving late from the train at about 11:30pm, the other rooms were banging on the walls because my shower was too loud. I think they need to sound proof better. Other than that, the breakfast, helpful staff and room were all fine. I would stay here again and just have to go to bed earlier because people do not like noise at night at this hotel.

I love this hotel. The owner, Gaetano, is fluent in English and very helpful and consistently present — he enjoys meeting and chatting with the guests, particularly in the breakfast room in the morning. The shower is much larger than most Italian showers and the hot water didn’t run out and had good pressure and the bed was much more comfortable than what I’m used to in Italy. The rooms are good-sized. The decor is understated, tasteful and charming. The breakfast buffet is quite nice and all of the hotel’s staff are very professional and accommodating. The photos on the website are accurate. It’s a quick walk from/to the train station/taxi stand and the sea, and it’s about a 15 minute walk to the medieval section of town. There’s a lovely Norman period duomo and a nice little archeological museum. The townspeople are welcoming and friendly. A side trip to Paestum (by train/car) for the 6th c. BC Greek temples and the ruins of a subsequent Roman town (abandoned due to a massive flood) is short and easy and well worth it. Be sure not to miss the small but very well done archeological museum there. I so enjoyed our Salerno visit and will definitely return to Hotel Plaza, a little gem.

Across from the main train station in Salerno, it is a convenient place to stay for those who relies on public transportation. Hotel itself is very dated and showing signs of wear n tear. Room decor and bedding all spell a 1970’s vibe. A renovation is in dire need to make it more pleasant and comfortable. Staff at front desk and breakfast restaurant are all friendly and helpful. Good stay in general.

Very friendly staff. Complimentary breakfast buffet was absolutely wonderful. This was just a one night stop on our way to Sicily from Rome. Next trip we will stay longer and will stay at Hotel Plaza.

i simply loved this hotel. i chose it for the location but my stay exceeded my expectations.Super clean, excellent selection of breakfast, Italian style of course. Shopping to the left, train right in front and ferry right behind. evrything was just perfect. my only complain was the older gentleman receptionist was not the most helpful or corteous ive found in the many hotels ive been. he asked for the documents and as i handed him mine and was looking for the second one he asked me very rudely "I need 2 passports".

I arrived late and was greeted warmly. I was offered help with my luggage. Even though my balcony looked out on the train side, it was quiet and calm all night. Breakfast was lovely, and the people in the dining room were friendly. It’s a two-minute walk from the train station and 3 minutes from the ferry port.

We stayed one night and enjoyed the convenience of the proximity to the rental car return office and ferry dock. It is right in the heart of the port, opposite the train station. Although the area is chaotic, we didn’t hear the street noise in our room. A lovely buffet breakfast was a great way to start the day.

Ideally located hotel in Salerno. This hotel is within a 3 minute walk to the bus and train stations and a 10 minute walk to the ferry. We arrived in a rental car after driving through Puglia. We dropped our car off at Europecar which is right around the corner from the hotel (other car rental agencies are also in the same area). Salerno was the starting point for the rest of our vacation on the Amalfi Coast where we travelled via Ferry. The hotel is also perfectly located to walk around the historic area, the restaurants and shops and the waterfront which offers beautiful views of the mountains from the tree lined pedestrian walk along the gulf. The hotel offers a continental breakfast each morning with espresso coffees.

We had a long day of travel from Venice to Salerno and this was the perfect hotel! It was walkable from the train station, the room was big and we did have a balcony. The continental breakfast was great - with some good croissants. There are also many different cafes and shops nearby. We were able to walk less than a mile to take a ferry to Positano. I would highly recommend if you are using transportation and want something convenient.

Excellent Staff. Angelo at the front desk went out of the way helping us with luggage. Great location. Walking distance to Central train station to go to Pompeii, Naples and Rome.
