All hotels in the area seem to be expensive. This is a huge hotel with hundreds(?) of rooms. Room was OK, bed comfortable, bathroom very standard and OK. A few chips and scrapes on the doors and furniture but nothing to worry about. Coffee in room not availble but I asked to borrow a kettle and one arrived. Reasonably close to ferry terminal (walkable). Carpark under hotel is dark and spooky but enough spaces. Breakfast was good.

Disappointing hotel in every aspect, unable to use gym without a further 5 euro daily charge, advertised as great location but quite a long distance to all the trendy areas & best dinning precinct in Salerno. Very hospital like, clean but very sterile in atmosphere, dated furniture in rooms beds just ok nothing special. No coffee or tea amenities in room just 2 small bottles of water. Poor is the best way to discribe this place.

The hotel is located in a great location. The rooms are large and clean. All areas are clean and tidy. Overall the hotel needs repairs done as it is looking tired. Although it advertises, a swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, restaurant, and rooftop terrace, none are available. These were the reasons I chose the hotel, so disappointed. The only bar in the reception, is open limited hours, late afternoon until 10.00pm. The staff are friendly and helpful, which make it a pleasant experience, but let down by lack of facilities.

Ideal for a family stay. Beach club over the road and easy 5-19 minute walk from main town and great restaurant and cafe/bar facilities. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Pool shut since pandemic but it was indoor anyway. Great value!

The previous reviews for the property were all pretty spot on. The property is fine, nothing more. It seems like it used to be a pretty great hotel pre-covid, but most of their amenities were no longer offered other than breakfast and a bar that opens at 17:00. Breakfast was average. The hotel’s website said there was a restaurant which made it seem like they serve dinner, but they don’t. Also, I’m not sure the air conditioning actually ever worked. The staff were kind and helpful, and the views from the room were excellent.

This hotel is in a great spot but is underwhelming. The air conditioner didn’t work properly, the wifi cut out often, the pool was empty (it was 33c in summer) and a frosty reception. But on saying that we’ve stayed in a lot worse and we’re grateful for the position and cleanliness

We don’t usually book at a hotel of this type, but needed to at short notice for one night. We have stayed at other 3 star properties who delivered a better property and better service. One frustration was that the rooftop facility advertised, which I thought would be great for an easy dinner option, is not available unless it is for a function. Not sure if that was made clear in the booking details or not.

This is not what is advertised. Pool closed. Spa closed. €5 to use the fitness center!? Staff not friendly at all. NO A/C!! Hot and uncomfortable rooms. No bell man to assist with luggage. Would not recommend.

This was a great base for our 4 days at the Amalfi Coast. We rented a vespa while we were here and the free underground parking was perfect. Also have the buffet breakfast was a great perk when everything in Europe- including water - constantly costs money. We loved the location close to the train station and so it made coming and going easy and quick

Cleaning was very bad. Sheets were not changed everyday and dust found on the bed. TV is smart TV but netflix nor nothing was working. Aurcondition also bad working, can not go below 22 degrees. Mini fridge not working. Called them and asked them to fix it, but never got it fixed. We drank warm water our whole stay :(

limited wifi service in the rooms. they dont have usa to eur electric converters available had to purchase one to charge cellphones. they do have charging stations as is a very common request. the rooms and bathrooms are not updated. mole on tiles. rooms have great views to the ocean it was the only best part of the accommodations and its proximity to central stations and ferry.

Property is clean although it is a little old fashioned, staff are helpful, breakfast is pretty good, convenient location for the railway station and Molo Concordia port. My only criticism was the really poor wifi - my kids could not even get basic internet

This hotel was a little dated, and my room sort of felt like a hospital room, but it was clean and convenient. I imagine this was a great conference hotel back in the 80s. But the staff was nice, and the breakfast was good. The location was excellent but I did get a lot of noise as my room overlooked the alley, and since the hotel is on a main street along the sea, there was a lot of traffic noise. But if i closed the window, it was fine. Overall, a nice hotel for the price. Great location.

Hotel is a bit outdated. The tub was very very hard to get into. Extremely high. I have a hip problem and could not hardly get my leg over the tub. Those with no problems even had a hard time. We had to put the bench from the room in to be able to sit on it then swing legs over. Would have been funny if it wast sinful. Staff was very rude with only exception being concierge and 1 yes 1 check in girl. Phone was very difficult to hear front desk nor them hear me. Air condition did not work half the time thank goodness it was October. More but those are the big things. Safe broken (Twice) with our money etc inside. Gentleman who finally got us a new safe was very very helpful and kind.

Some rooms are good, some are terrible, if you get a bad room don't hesitate to complain and ask for a better one. AC seems to work on a timer constantly needing to be reset with the key card, probably to save on power. The price was comparatively good

This hotel is fine, just a bit dated. The air conditioning is very diffused and sometimes it turned off or wouldn’t get cold. I called reception several times and they reset it to make it work again, which it usually did. Breakfast good. The staff were helpful. The location is slightly out of Salerno so it’s quite a walk in, though convenient for the ferry port.

The hotel was fine; old and a little dingy but fine. The biggest problem was the AC. First, it wouldn't work unless your single room key was slotted into a power activator, so it won't run when you're out of the room. Secondly, it turned off after about 5 minutes of running, regardless of temperature. I was waking up almost every 45 minutes at night to turn it back on because of how warm it was getting in the room. We stayed in October,,, i can't imagine in summer. Also, after spending all day out, returning to a room that is so warm your hair gel and lotions are separating is unacceptable.

Reception Staff need to be more welcoming, friendly, helpful and informative.. room was ok for short stay, bed comfy, bathroom good facilities but air conditioning dirty and noisy and couldn’t cool the room booked 2 rooms and one couple who were elderly in our group and with disabilities were put 3 floors up away from us and at end of very long corridor on 4th floor., no consideration for their convenience and no luggage assistance .. tried to reserve a taxi with reception when leaving .. returned at the designated time to find out the taxi firm would not accept the reservation and we were not told this., had to walk to train station and nearly missed the train as taxi did not show..hotel advertised as having a restaurant which was necessary for some of our travellers for convenience but we were told dining room closed when we went to eat and .. staff not helpful in assistance with other dining options in local area. Ok to for short stay but not customer focused.

Everything Staff is very nice. Receptionist Daniela was very kind. She gave me a very good room. I decided to stay four more nights as a result. Sincere thanks dear Daniela. I am enjoying my stay at your hotel and in Salerno. Italian people are very kind to me as a tourist. There is NO discrimination. Negative news about Italian people towatds tourists - I DISAGREE.

Hotel is a bit outdated. The tub was very very hard to get into. Extremely high. I have a hip problem and could not hardly get my leg over the tub. Those with no problems even had a hard time. We had to put the bench from the room in to be able to sit on it then swing legs over. Would have been funny if it wast sinful. Staff was very rude with only exception being concierge and 1 yes 1 check in girl. Phone was very difficult to hear front desk nor them hear me. Air condition did not work half the time thank goodness it was October. More but those are the big things. Safe broken (Twice) with our money etc inside. Gentleman who finally got us a new safe was very very helpful and kind.

Very old. Staff not friendly. No change of towels and when asked was told they did not offer that service when the information in the room clearly stated otherwise. Also asked for water/aqua and told to go to the vending machine?????... Expensive for what you got. Its not 4 star. More like 2. Find somewhere else.

All hotels in the area seem to be expensive. This is a huge hotel with hundreds(?) of rooms. Room was OK, bed comfortable, bathroom very standard and OK. A few chips and scrapes on the doors and furniture but nothing to worry about. Coffee in room not availble but I asked to borrow a kettle and one arrived. Reasonably close to ferry terminal (walkable). Carpark under hotel is dark and spooky but enough spaces. Breakfast was good.

This hotel was a little dated, and my room sort of felt like a hospital room, but it was clean and convenient. I imagine this was a great conference hotel back in the 80s. But the staff was nice, and the breakfast was good. The location was excellent but I did get a lot of noise as my room overlooked the alley, and since the hotel is on a main street along the sea, there was a lot of traffic noise. But if i closed the window, it was fine. Overall, a nice hotel for the price. Great location.

The Grand Hotel is abundant in everything 😍 great location, a 5-10 mins walk to ferry port (usually amalfi coast boats i.e. Travelmar). Centrally located to everything such as beach & town centre. Lovely walk to Lungomare Promenade!

This was a great base for our 4 days at the Amalfi Coast. We rented a vespa while we were here and the free underground parking was perfect. Also have the buffet breakfast was a great perk when everything in Europe- including water - constantly costs money. We loved the location close to the train station and so it made coming and going easy and quick

Reception Staff need to be more welcoming, friendly, helpful and informative.. room was ok for short stay, bed comfy, bathroom good facilities but air conditioning dirty and noisy and couldn’t cool the room booked 2 rooms and one couple who were elderly in our group and with disabilities were put 3 floors up away from us and at end of very long corridor on 4th floor., no consideration for their convenience and no luggage assistance .. tried to reserve a taxi with reception when leaving .. returned at the designated time to find out the taxi firm would not accept the reservation and we were not told this., had to walk to train station and nearly missed the train as taxi did not show..hotel advertised as having a restaurant which was necessary for some of our travellers for convenience but we were told dining room closed when we went to eat and .. staff not helpful in assistance with other dining options in local area. Ok to for short stay but not customer focused.

Morgenmad var under al kritik, kaffen var udrikkelig men så kunne man bede om special lavet kaffe. Den sidste dag fik vi en stenhård bolle. Selve morgenmads lokalet var ikke særlig hyggeligt. Das riesige Hotel wirkt angewöhnt und unpersönlich. Besonders beim Frühstück wird man mit schnell abgefertigt. Die Zimmer sind großzügig geschnitten und es wirkt freundlich, hell und sauber. Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis ist super. Der Kaffee beim Frühstück ist der schlechteste den ich hatte.

It seems like it used to be a pretty great hotel pre-covid, but most of their amenities were no longer offered other than breakfast and a bar that opens at 17:00. Breakfast was average. The hotel’s website said there was a restaurant which made it seem like they serve dinner, but they don’t. Also, I’m not sure the air conditioning actually ever worked. The staff were kind and helpful, and the views from the room were excellent.

Overall okay experience. We got a free room upgrade, which sounded nice. But other than the better view, there was little benefit to it. The room was unnecessarily large and the hallways are very long to walk through. Bathroom light was controlled by a sensor that doesn't turn of before 20 minutes of inactivity. That is somewhat unpractical when you're trying to get to sleep.
