Lovely place to stay with great bar on site and a good restaurant. It’s about a 30min walk into town so you’d need a car if you aren’t up for a lot of walking. Staff helpful and friendly.

The Hotel is lovely and the room has very good facilities. The only problem we came across was that we returned to the hotel to have a drink after doing the Ring of Kerry and the entire car park was full (as well as the bar areas) for a wedding which meant retiring to the room rather than sitting in the beautiful pub garden. Breakfast was very nice with lots of options but staff are busy and you have to wait for them to return to be able to use the buffet rather than self serve the hot food.

The hotel was in a nice location, just a quick drive or longer walk to downtown. Parking was easy there as its a regular parking lot. The room was not air conditioned ( i should have checked - it was cool enough outside, but some air circulation would have been nice). The bar and outside sitting area was nice to have a place to unwind and play cards with our friends

We arrived early for check-in, and the staff gave us the first room cleaned. We were able to rest since we had been up for about 25 hours. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel. All the meals were great. The hotel was clean and we saw the crew cleaning the rooms and hallways every day.

The hotel was nice, couple of small things! No face cloths, which I like. Room was very stuffy, and too warm, the comforter on the bed was too heavy for this time of the year! With the window open it was too noisy to sleep! Staff were pleasant.

Very deceptive with the photos on here that labelled exterior, these are not of the hotel but of a place of interest near by to visit. Our room was extremely hot when we arrived. There was no AC, and they had left windows open. Outside our window was AC ducting/fans, which were constantly on in the evening and turned off at 11pm it was far too noisy to sleep. The windows you could only open slightly anyway (2/3cm). We had arrived late in the evening as well so it wasn’t a pleasant welcome trying to cool down the room to sleep. Rooms come with a fridge and were well cleaned. The breakfast was a bit chaotic and we were given a table with not enough cutlery. The food was tasty. Overall we felt the hotel was misleading. There are also photos on reviews of a swimming pool which wasn't this hotel.

This is not a bad hotel. But it was not very comfortable- we knew it did not have AC but the heater (radiator) in the room was on and couldn’t be shut off! In August! The front desk was incredulous and said maintenance would come the next morning to check and they had no rooms to move us to. We were leaving the next morning so that didn’t help so we insisted that someone come check. Housekeeping came by but couldn’t do anything about it but at least we didn’t feel gaslit!! We figured out how to open the windows all the way (harder than you think) and housekeeping provide us with 2 fans. It was still hot but better. Breakfast was ok - but the people working there seemed annoyed that they had costumers. All in all we would not stay here again.

Hotel located about a 20 minute walk from Killarney town centre. Rooms are nice but very warm with no way to cool them down except open a restricted window. Wi-Fi in the hotel is poor and has connection issues and the “smart” tvs have no option to connect an internet source which means the smart aspect of the tv is pointless and you are left to the 15 or so saorview channels. We asked the duty manager to help us sort out this problem and he didn’t know how to explain the fact the smart tv had no available network settings and setting up a connection was impossible despite mentioning he faced this issue with several other guests during their respective stays. I would avoid this hotel if I returned to Killarney as overall the experience was not a pleasant one.

Man konnte das Fenster nur einen Spaltbreit öffnen und da es keine Klimaanlage gab, war es viel zu heiß im Zimmer. Der kleine Ventilator, den man uns brachte, hat da auch nicht viel geholfen. Die Tür zum Badezimmer war verzogen und ließ sich nicht richtig schließen. Die Tür zum Flur hin war durch die großen Spalte gar nicht schalldicht und man hörte nachts die Gäste im Flur, die sich laut unterhalten haben.

This property has zero soundproofing. If something happened in the hall, it sounded like it was in your room. The constant beeping of people not shutting their doors was also very annoying (there is an alarm on each door that goes off if it's open too long). I'm glad we only had one night there! The bartender was not particularly pleasant and had a very limited cocktail menu.

Property was wonderful. Breakfast was top notch. Room was spacious and with fans provided comfortable. The only issue was the wifi didn’t work in our room. It continually cycled off and on the whole time we were there.

Worst stay in over a decade. It started bad when they couldn’t find our reservation. Then they found it but our room was not ready. At 16:30. They found another room. That will eventually showed a temperature of 25C because the heater stayed on. According to cleanjng lady, who was bringing back a box of tissue (ours only had two!) it was a known issue. When we contacted the reception at 22:30, the lady said she was going to turn it off from reception(!) even when explained from the room service that it was a known issue… She said to wait 30 min to see improvement. At 22:55 I went directly at reception to see her flying because her shift was finishing and she had no time to take care of the issue! Thank god the night watcher was better: he found another room for us to move in, at 23:30. Short night. There was no internet what so over during all the stay. Very inconvenient in 2024. Other oddity; we had to book our included-breakfast. Apparently to make sure there is enough room for everyone, « Sorry-I-am-on holiday-and-don’t-know-what-time-I-will-wake-up » does not work for them. We had to book, put our alarm, (yes, on holiday!) to discover that we were only two couples in the whole room! Finally, on arrival they asked to see an id, but in fact they will go and photocopy it without your authorization. Last time I saw this procedure was 10 years ago, in a country that you needed visa. So, don’t bother.

The Heights Hotel was a very comfortable stay. Staff was very kind, room was very comfortable and the breakfast was great! We did a one night stay before we got on the Ring of Kerry. Great location if you have a car - but if you don't you've got a 20-30 minute walk to the restaurants in Killarney.

Everything was great, however this property is located outside of town so it’s not walkable to the shops and pubs. If you don’t have transportation you will need a taxi. Everything else was lovely.

Really nice rooms, great service, and really the best location for exploring the Ring of Kerry. Restaurant was just "okay," not recommended - too many other options for dining in this city... Although the restaurant staff were awesome, particularly Jersey in the breakfast room.

This hotel came highly recommended by friends that have stayed here numerous times. The hotel had two tour buses staying there but it didn't seem crowded or busy. The check in staff seemed stressed out when trying to fit in our breakfast time between the two tours. The two employees got into a verbal confrontation in front of us which made it a little uncomfortable.a manager came to the rescue and handled our breakfast reservation.
