The hotel was clean. There was no elevator only an interior staircase. The room had no phone, no smoke detector, no hairdryer.There was only 3 pillows on the bed. One small bar of soap for the sink & shower.There was an iron but no ironing board. The room key’s didn’t always work. The continental breakfast was very minimal.

Our room wasn't anything surprising. There was a section of the ceiling where the drywall appeared to have been wet from a roof leak, but the drywall in the room has not yet been repaired. Outside there's a broken down mower and a shed that looks weeks away from collapse. When we checked in we were greeted with a smile and the same smile told us goodbye the next morning. The Continental breakfast was yogurt and bagels. For what we paid, the facility served it's purpose but it's for sure showing it has been around for quite some time.

The hotel Did Not match the pictures on the Internet. It was down a road that wasn’t visible from main road. Outside had broken down sheds on property and some of the windows showed rooms with piles of furniture and old dirty curtains. Inside the couch in lobby was held up by a book and a can of kidney beans!! The rooms and bathroom was old and outdated but looked like they updated the floor. Beds were hard and the air conditioner was very dirty and old. Very Very Disappointing and didn’t feel safe.

The price was fine. They are clearly trying to get this hotel back into shape. MANY rooms are not even serviceable. The main things seem clean and sanitary, but the details are very sketchy. There are cords dangling everywhere. Room, lobby, breakfast area, etc. There’s running rust on too many surfaces. The night staff are not the most presentable nor industrious. Had to ask repeatably to have the “continental breakfast” restocked, like the bagels and cream cheese were gold plated items. And then they were frozen solid. There were very few drink options, which always ran out quickly, and had to be asked for again. Arugh. The AC worked great, but there were two choices, 52 degrees, or off. On an 80 degree weekend. There was no middle ground. The entry to the hotel from the Main Street appeared to be the entry to old abandoned hotel that wasn’t even functional anymore. The road seemed abandoned, the weeds, trees, and vegetation looked out of control, and to be honest, it was scary to drive down toward the hotel. Nothing welcoming or fresh at all. I’m not trying to rip this hotel, they seem to be trying to make it better, but there are some major things they need to keep working at. I wish them good luck.

The first room we were put in hadn't been cleaned. The bed was made, but the floors and shower were filthy. They did let us go to another room. There were holes in the sheets, but they appeared laundered. The couch in the waiting area at the entrance is being held up by a large can of beans. Do not use the ice from the ice machine in the breakfast area. It tastes like pure metal. I should've know by the orange streaks around the area. The property has not had any lawn maintenance in quite a while. I'm sure the grass would've been almost up to my knees, if I had gone off the sidewalk. There is a key lock box on the front door like you would see on a house you are veiwing to buy which I thought was odd. I tried to have the 3rd party site change my hotel, but they were unable. The breakfast is a bagel and yogurt. Way overpriced for the accommodations.

First off on entry to The property You could barely see it landscaping looks horrible we thought it was closed down! Then walking into the front desk I spoke to the attendant there The death's cat inches of dust on everywhere and I don't know where they got this picture at to put on the website but there's nothing in there that looks like that The carpeting was extremely filthy and my socks and my slippers were pitch black just from walking on the floor in the room I had to ask for new sheets and pillowcases extra pillows I had to iron everything everything was wrinkly My husband and I had to go to the store to get bleach cleaner Lysol disinfectant wipes and air freshener because it was that disgusting and the gentleman at the front desk seemed not to care at all I have stayed at many hotels and that was the worst I've ever stayed in I've dated better hotels for $50 then this hotel! That hotel is where people go to overdose and die it's that bad. I would ever cry of a hotel room but that made my anxiety go through the roof and I started crying! I just can't believe that a hotel could be that nasty and then upon leaving we saw the cleaning cart and that was just disgusting in itself.

We checked in, looked at our room, and immediately cancelled our stay and went elsewhere. Walking to the room, several of the rooms along the hallway had broken doors. When we opened our door the room immediately smelled mouldy. The ceiling was caving in, the air conditioner and bathroom ceiling fan were covered in dirt and dust, the bathroom light didn't work in the shower, the shower was mouldy all around the outside. Not to mention the other areas of the hotel - the lobby couch is being held up by a book and can of soup instead of a couch leg, the outside of the motel is overgrown with weeds. It felt very dirty and unsafe. The front desk gentleman was absolutely lovely and gave us no hassle at cancelling. I'm sure it's happened many times before.

Looked abandoned as soon as you pulled up. Gave it benefit of the doubt and checked it anyway. Room was beyond disgusting. Hair in shower, dirt/crumbs on bedsheets, old dried urine on toilet seat and toilet was in unusable condition. We left, even though it was 1130 at night. This owner should be reported and not allowed to be on Expedia

The tv wasn’t working the entire stay. There was a dirty washcloth hanging in the shower; therefore I wasn’t able to take a shower because I’m sure it wasn’t cleaned. There were pieces of a towel rack that had been broken off the shower door, still in the door. The heat/ac unit was so loud all night; loud banging noise. No elevator to the second floor; only steps. A bad room and stay. I will never go back.

Our first room was filthy! Stuff/ food stuck on the walls. Bathroom dirt caked on the floor and shower floor hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. They did move us to another room that was a bit better. We will not stay here again! Do not recommend! It was straight up dirty in both rooms. Not worth the money…

We checked in and checked out immediately. The room was filthy. Huge blood stain on the mattress, food all over the bed, hair all over the bathroom, no towels. The weirdest thing was all about this hotel was other rooms doors were open. We requested a refund, which I doubt we will receive. We did not stay here.

I am writing to formally express my total dissatisfaction with my stay at the Econo Lodge – Harrisburg, PA, where I unfortunately had the worst hotel experience of my life. From the moment I entered the room, it was clear that there was a complete lack of care regarding cleanliness and maintenance. The environment was extremely dirty, with visibly grimy floors, an unhygienic bathroom, and an unpleasant odor. The level of filth was so severe that it posed a potential health risk to guests, particularly due to the accumulation of dust and mold, both in the room and in the breakfast area. The facilities were in poor condition, poorly maintained, and lacked the minimum standards of comfort. The service was also disappointing: the staff was unprepared, unfriendly, and showed no willingness to address the issues reported. It is unacceptable that a hotel in operation offers this kind of experience to its guests. The room was cold and took about 3 hours to warm up (I will be better prepared if staying again), water took a long time to heat up (close to 20 minutes) - in the morning it only got luke warm and not close to hot. The hair dryer overheated within 30 seconds and shut off. The bed and linens were clean and bed was quite comfortable. The toilet was not connected to the floor correctly and actually moved every time you sat down (very un-nerving). I would consider staying again because of the off season rate was really good.

We needed a place to stay for a concert in Hershey. Not looking to spend a lot of time at the hotel, this was a perfect option. Located just a few minutes outside of Hershey it had easy access to I-81. The room was clean and the air conditioning was in perfect working order (actually had to turn if down in the middle of the night!) We needed a place to stay for a concert in Hershey. Not looking to spend a lot of time at the hotel, this was a perfect option. Located just a few minutes outside of Hershey it had easy access to I-81. The room was clean and the air conditioning was in perfect working order (actually had to turn if down in the middle of the night!) The room smelled like stale smoke. The air conditioner barely blew out air (thank God it wasnt a super hot day) + the fan in the bathroom was super loud and made clunking noises. Other than that, it did the trick. We wer only there for roughly 5 hours.

I liked quiet until I heard a dog barking loudly other than that the shower is huge and very unique and the water gets hot so that’s good for me and plenty of movies to watch.

The room has horrible motion detecting lighting that could not be turned off so every time you get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, every light in the room turns on disturbing you and your sleeping partner. The front desk gave us paper and tape to cover them but it didn't work.

Econo Lodge North Harrisburg advertises as Pet Friendly, however at check in I informed them that my service dog was with me. They demanded that I show them a “tag” proving he was a service dog. I informed them that it was a violation of the ADA to request any proof or identification, there is none. I informed them that they should know this. They would not check me. There were no other cars in the parking lot outside the hotel. There was a vegetable garden with a large collection of different junker lawn mowers adjacent to the front entrance. Expedia kindly refunded my money after I reported the ADA issue.

I arrived for check in a little after 10pm after spending the whole day at Hersheypark. The person managing the front desk was literally cutting his son or grandson's hair AT the front desk. Talk about unprofessional. The room was sub par. The bathroom mirror was dirty, the toilet stopped working, the top lock was broke and there was no breakfast. The room was cheap but this was unacceptable.

I called to very if there was a deposit upon check in because I did not have extra funds available and I was instructed twice by the same lady there was NO deposit fee, after arriving at the hotel to check I was immediately told there was a $100.00 deposit which I did not have said available funds so they would not allow me to check in to my room and I was not allowed a refund either though this was no fault butbthere own forngiving me the wrong information during to Seperate phone calls!

Easy check in & check out. Clean. Quiet. Easy & close parking. Only seen one staff member but he was nice & efficient. Don't go for the breakfast...they have options for quick bite which was appreciated but not the conventional continental breakfast. No elevator so if you can't do stairs keep this in mind.

Walking in and seeing the couch in the lobby being held up by a large can of beans should have told me everything I needed to know. Yes a can on beans was being used since one of the legs of the couch was missing. I do not expect much from a continental breakfast but to say it was lacking is an under statement. Breakfast started at 6am so I figured everything would be set up by 630 when I went. Walking into the lobby I was greeted by a woman sleeping on the aforementioned couch snoring so loud I heard it walking down the hall. I go into the dining area to find 6 bagels in sealed bags with moisture droplets inside the bags. I could not find an expiration date on them and sadly there was not a single other item available. Not a piece of fruit or danish, nothing. I was thankful the coffee maker was working but couldn’t find a teabag anywhere for my mother. I returned at 7 to find the woman still sleeping on the couch and the attendant from the night before came out. I asked if they had any teabags, at which time the woman woke up and took her place at the desk. He asked her to get teabags, she hands me one and I go back to my room. Upon checking out at 745 I looked to make my mother another cup of tea and still no teabags were put out. We ended up at a local dinner.

We've stayed here the past 3 years that we've gone to Hersey Park. It's a straight 12min drive to the park. There are two big gas stations, an some quick food options available. The rooms we've had have always been clean and they offer a small continental breakfast with some nice options for kids. Great for the price...and somewhere to just comeback to at night to rest.

The workers were nice. The hallways and room was poorly lit. There was paint chipping off the ceiling in the bathroom. The sheets and towels were dingy and stained. The ice machime had rust running down it and a tube connected to the floor in front of it. It was convenient to the amusement park and easy access on and off the highway.

The price was fine. They are clearly trying to get this hotel back into shape. MANY rooms are not even serviceable. The main things seem clean and sanitary, but the details are very sketchy. There are cords dangling everywhere. Room, lobby, breakfast area, etc. There’s running rust on too many surfaces. The night staff are not the most presentable nor industrious. Had to ask repeatably to have the “continental breakfast” restocked, like the bagels and cream cheese were gold plated items. And then they were frozen solid. There were very few drink options, which always ran out quickly, and had to be asked for again. Arugh. The AC worked great, but there were two choices, 52 degrees, or off. On an 80 degree weekend. There was no middle ground. The entry to the hotel from the Main Street appeared to be the entry to old abandoned hotel that wasn’t even functional anymore. The road seemed abandoned, the weeds, trees, and vegetation looked out of control, and to be honest, it was scary to drive down toward the hotel. Nothing welcoming or fresh at all. I’m not trying to rip this hotel, they seem to be trying to make it better, but there are some major things they need to keep working at. I wish them good luck.

Needs to work on cleanliness. Also needs a larger sign as I missed its entry. The staff was nice and it was convenient to where I needed to be. Outside seems updated but does need a bit of work on lobby and rooms.

Admittedly, the building is older and has an older building kind of smell, but as a whole the facility is clean. I’ve stayed here twice now and feel that the area is safe, even if it is slightly secluded from the main road. Sheetz and Wendy’s are within walkable distance. My only complaint is the “continental breakfast.” When I stayed here two years ago, there were at least mini muffins and bananas available in the breakfast area. I chose this hotel for price and proximity to Hershey Park. In those respects, it met my mark. The hotel looks nicer on the inside than outside, and the service was good. The room didn't have enough towels, and whatever they clean the floor with makes it too slick - I had to put down towels for traction. But the beds were fine and we slept well. Breakfast was grab and go continental - packaged oatmeal, yogurt, and bagel with cream cheese.

Missed to read the previous reviews just for this hotel and we paid the price. Absolutely dreary with zero cleanliness. Amenities were horrible. Breakfast was just bagel, milk and yogurt. Ok to just sleep for the night.

Outside of hotel looked nothing like pictures on website. Landscaping looked horrible. No towels in room. Had to ask. No toilet paper in room. Had to ask for it. Staff was very friendly. The hotel needs an upgrade very badly. The “continental breakfast” was absolutely not acceptable. The only thing they had available was bagels and coffee. Very lacking in amenities. Also wasn’t a fan of the 100.00 deposit required at check in. For the quality of their rooms that shouldn’t be necessary.

Honestly, severely disappointed in our stay here. Thank goodness it was only 1 night, because any more and I would’ve been looking to go to a different hotel. Our sheets has stains on them, the bathroom had brown splatter all over the door, the door of the bathroom was stuck and would barely open and close. Hair, dirt, and bugs everywhere. I would not recommend staying here, and apparently neither would other people because there were only 2 other cars in the parking lot.

I read so many reviews of this place and can’t believe anyone posted anything positive. I believed the positive, recent comments and booked a room for one night. This place has not been updated since the 80’s. The smell of mold reeks throughout the property. The bedsheets were the only clean thing in the room. The hot water handle in the sink was broken off. No battery in the smoke detector. The grime on every surface was gross. Shame on anyone who recommends this place.
I read so many reviews of this place and can’t believe anyone posted anything positive. I believed the positive, recent comments and booked a room for one night. This place has not been updated since the 80’s. The smell of mold reeks throughout the property. The bedsheets were the only clean thing in the room. The hot water handle in the sink was broken off. No battery in the smoke detector. The grime on every surface was gross. Shame on anyone who recommends this place.

The lady working the front desk before I checked out was amazing, the hotel was fine to sleep in but I wouldn’t recommend if you are looking for a nice room to stay and a good breakfast provided by the hotel. Fine just for a place to sleep and shower
