Barons Court Hotel

We stayed at this hotel because its convenient to seeing family, my daughter referred to it being like something out of a horror movie because its old and has loads of antiques on display. The rooms are clean, and i found the bed really comfortable, but the bathroom could do with a little bit extra care when cleaning and a toilet roll holder would be useful, and maybe not a clear window, although there was a blind to pull down. The parking was fine the first night but was unable to park the second night so had to park on the road outside the hotel. We definitely stay again and recommend it if your happy its not a modern hotel. Didnt have breakfast but smell coming from the dinning room was lovely maybe next time.

Arriving at the property the outside was like a rubbish tip, overflowing ashtray and bins, needs a good clean

Loved the entrance hall, very quirky. Arrived in the dark , drove up and down the road four times before we found it . Sat nav took us to the wrong road too. The grounds need some upkeep, could be really nice if some time was spent on it.

Parking is limited and can gat cramped. Street parking is not possible double yellow lines or resident only. Lots of good indian restaurants nearby

The location with parking is fantastic, the building is very well done. I would say that some investment into some water improvements could be needed at this stage but I would be glad to return

This is a budget-friendly hotel, within easy reach of the town centre. My room was clean, warm and comfortable and it had everything I needed. I really appreciated having a car park space, too. I had a ground floor room but there was no need to worry about noise above me or next to me because although the hotel seemed to be quite full the other guests were respectful. Checking in and checking out was very quick and easy.

The hotel is excellent.. we had the garden room which was wonderful.. the only problem we had was people came outside to smoke and you could here them.. late at night and early in the morning.. otherwise nothing wrong.. plenty of free parking also.. will be staying again when up that way.. thank you

Not great. Pictures very misleading. I understand a cheaper room will be a bit more basic. But it should at least be clean. the bathroom was filthy and had a mould issue. The room had a VERY overwhelming damp smell. The curtains didn't fit the window so you couldn't close them properly. when I checked out I was barely acknowledged, the man didn't even look up from his laptop. I would add photos but this feature is apparently disabled.

When I looked at this guesthouse or hotel, as you say it is, it looked lovely on the website, there was this scruffy looking guy at reception, but he was very polite, The place was a very quirky little place, which seems quite nice, but very dated, we then reached our bedroom number 10 bathroom was okay two bottles of water left for us, bedlinen had stains on it curtains when we drew them they were covered in dust, there was cobwebs all over the ceiling, took five hours to drive from Southampton to Wolverhampton in bad weather and traffic. We weren’t very happy when we got there and what we saw, we spoke to 2 gentlemen were staying there that evening. They said they were given room 10 on the Monday and now it’s Thursday ,They weren’t happy with it so they asked to Change rooms, they even said there were cobwebs in the bedroom and an old rocking chair which is not appropriate in the bedroom as it’s a little bit scary. Didn’t really check the bathroom for cleanliness, and it did mention that we could get breakfast as well which they didn’t do any catering, I just asked if he could change our room, he said no because they were fully booked, he offered me a refund and we were going to stay there but I’m sorry we just could not stay in that room. It wasn’t clean at all so we had to go and find another room which we did in the Nova hotel.. so yes, I would like a refund please and I will be putting a comment on the website Not a happy customer, Shirley

The room size was okay but it had mould on the curtains and bathroom tiles Lots of marks on the walls & doors. Hair on bathroom floor, stains on duvet cover and toilet seat. The only staff member we saw was on entering & ringing the bell for service.

It was ok for one night, needed to crash after an event. Felt pretty old inside and room was ok and mostly felt clean. My towel was dirty so just used one large and one small. provided tea and coffee and room had really nice sunlight in the morning. Easy check in and check out.

Fine for a cheap overnighter but so much they could do to improve Lights without bulbs, mould in bathroom, stains on bedding and not ironed so made us think they weren't clean. Good parking, tea and coffee facilities and hot shower

Tv remote missing. I reported this to tecrption and they were going to sesrch for one. They never bothered to respond to.me. Room very noisy, bed right next to the window.. Heavy rain pouring from the guttering, down on to widow ledge . This came down like like a water fall. I had to make ear plugs to block out this loud, very noisy sound, right next to.my head. Therefore I did not have a good night's sleep I Was hoping to speak to the person on reception this morning, but the desk was unmanned. Keys were left in a small post box.

Always stay here when in Wolvs. Very friendly and polite. Walking distance to train station, town and music venue. Beds are sooooo comfy! Very good value.

The beds both had big dips in the mattress and were the most uncomfortable bed ever! Carpets diry, dust and hairs on the surfaces. Toilet very difficult to get to flush. Shower not power at all. I would not stay again and definitely not recommend to anyone

Stayed in room y this visit. Shower/ bath water only ever lukewarm. Also toilet seat is loose. Its the only room where i haven't had decent hot water. Also bedroom window cannot be closed but secondary glazing minimises thus problem

Traffic noise

Overnight stay. On arrival offered a choice of 2 rooms 1 ground floor 1 first floor. We chose the ground! Wrong decision. Very noisy room with every arrival or conversation with reception very audible, especially the woman arrival in the early hours of the morning. The room was clean and tidy with excellent wifi. The shower was a trifle small but the biggest complaint was the mattress in which at least one or two of the springs were broken making it very uncomfortable. All in all as value for money for 1 night only it was ok. Left without seeing reception so unable to pass on our observations

The place was very dated and desperately needed decorating. Rooms are tiny, wasn’t given any clean towels, no WiFi and couldn’t get signal on the tv. Only decent thing is that the bed was relatively comfortable

The staff were polite and friendly, the room was tidy. Very efficient and affordable.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Keith's boutique hotel, and it was fantastic! The room was spotless and well-appointed, with thoughtful touches that made me feel right at home. Keith is such a great host - serious, but warm and kind at heart - and he made sure that I was comfortable throughout my stay. Highly recommend this boutique hotel for anyone looking for a unique and personalized travel experience.

A lovely hotel, just outside Wolverhampton. I actually got a bus just around the corner from the hotel and it only took 10 mins. Car park is free, and lot of spaces to park. Quirky themed hotel as it has a few items from the past, even a tin armoured knight in the hallway. The host i met was very welcoming, polite and very kind, he showed me my room on the first floor and unfortunately he said the chef was ill so there's no breakfast in the morning but i didn't mind. My room was clean, hot drinks facilities, Excellent wifi, TV and en suite bath/shower that had plenty of hot water. My room was at the front next to the main road but it was very quite.

We stayed at Barons Court while visiting Crufts over the weekend. The cheap price and relatively short drive away from the arena were the selling points for us. Barons court is such a quaint hotel based in a very old building which we thought just adds character. The chap on reception was polite and friendly and check in was easy, he then showed us to our room. Room 4 which was a lovely twin room which was small but big enough for us! With a huge bathroom, and a nice well working warm shower. The corridors around the hotel are decorated with some beautiful antiques which again just adds character to the place. Beds were comfortable however if i was being picky an extra pillow would have been nice, however we probably could have asked for this. The room was never cold either. There is no breakfast facilities but this isn’t advertised as a B&B and no breakfast wasn’t an issue for us. There is however a nice communal area with tables etc which you are encouraged to bring your own food and use these facilities. Our keycard didn’t work to let us back in on our second night but this was quickly rectified. The hotel and rooms are “tired” but with this being a old building, this is unavoidable, and refurbishing them too much would take away its character. If i was to be super picky the only improvement i would suggest would be for the receptionist to have a branded polo or similar? Apart from that is you want a warm, comfy stay for a very affordable price, this is the place to go!

Had no hot water so couldn’t have a shower for the whole stay, when letting the staff no the man said I’m not a F***ing miracle worker will have to call the plumber out currently going through a complaint about this hotel with Expedia and want refunding for my stay

Service was great, property in need of reneivation and room I was in had a leak during the heavy rain. Managers investigated issue and moved me to an alternative room swifty

Location was great for us, property was quirky and dated. Beds and bedding were clean and comfy. Hotel had hot showers, shower gel and tea, coffee. You self check out and let yourself in and out of the hotel yourself. Had a helpful staff member who was contactable on his mobile for any assistance required.

Short stay at this charming hotel to be close to Commonwealth Games venues. Host was very helpful & friendly on arrival. Property is very interesting with arts & crafts decoration throughout. Parking at rear was very good and safe. Garden was very impressive. Would highly recommend this hotel. Neighbourhood is really nice & is very easy access to Wolverhampton and other West Midlands.

I always stay here on trips to Wolvs. Can't fault it. Beds are really comfy and walking distance to centre.

Easy to find and park. We received a very warm welcome from the gentleman on reception. The room was as described. Perfect location for walking to the Halls in Wolverhampton -30 mins walk.

A bit dated but the antiques are quite fascinating for a small family hotel. The breakfast is well worth the extra payment!

Lovely old hotel with dated but quirky interior. Could do with a spruce up but was clean and comfortable and the service was proficient and friendly. Unfortunately there was no breakfast service when we stayed but the staff recommended a great little cafe around the corner.

Quirky hotel with interesting artifacts dotted around. Friendly and helpful staff and excellent breakfast at a good price. Highly recommended

Not even 1 star for this and to make it even worse no breakfast available.

Potentially could be good, but in spite of checking at the time of booking that breakfast would be available and asking again when I checked in, NO breakfast was served an no one was around to ask.The grounds could be good but are not cared for.

The bathroom was too high for the elderly.Had to go out for breakfast as the dining room was closed.The onsite manager was good.
