Rooms were nice, beds were only ok. Ac blows right on the beds so it’s freeze or sweat Staff was great and the hotel was in excellent shape! We enjoyed the pool quite a lot!

The pool on top and fabulous breakfast every day was great. The parking was crazy expensive but good. That was the only downside. The place was in the heart of Madrid so you could walk to major spots from the hotel or take a short taxi.

The hotel and rooms were clean. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Only downfall was learning that since the weather was cooler, the AC was turned to heater. We had to sleep with the windows opened all night, which brought in all the noise from either the hotel or streets. And, although they had a pool, it was closed due to the weather. There were days it was raining so we had to stay in. There were no activities to do in the hotel, other than stay in and watch TV. The TV was set only for Spanish speaking. We found other channels speaking in French or German but no English. There was no way of changing the language or being able to connect to our own devices to watch Netflix. Aside from the above inconveniences, the hotel did offer great breakfast and great location to walk anywhere. And, as I mentioned, the staff were very accommodating.

Expedia call it a rooftop pool ....it most certainly is not that . The Hotel call it a jacuzzi , that is exactly what it is . At best 3 x 10 metres , and a depth of one metre ..with a max capacity of 10 people . If you are looking for somewhere to cool off after a long hot day sightseeing , look elsewhere . That is the only fault I could find with the Hotel in question . Check in and out took minutes ..the 10 Euro breakfast is awesome .,,the best 10 Euros worth you will ever come across . Excellent access to public transport with bus and metro stops minutes from the hotel . Countless ,local bars and restaurants within easy walking distance , even in last week searing heat . So to sum up , excellent hotel , but Expedia way off calling the rooftop area a pool ..

Excellent hotel walking distance from the main centre & metro & bus links nearby. We had a terrace top floor (additional nominal cost) was bigger than our room . Could have sun loungers & hot tubs on them it was so big. Pool was small but a large terrace that you could sit. Spoilt by kids trying to use as a swimming pool as it was so hot. Who brings kids to a major city for holidays. We ended up sitting on our terrace to get peace & quiet. Staff very helpful breakfast was good . Would go back & get a terrace 😁

Sehr gut im Zentrum von Madrid gelegenes Hotel, modern ausgestattete und sauber gehaltene Zimmer. Sehr gutes ausreichendes Frühstück mit lokalen Spezialitäten, frisch gepressten Orangensaft. Personal ist bemüht und freundlich. Elektrotankstelle in der ersten Eber Tiefgarage ist vorhanden, jedoch nur für ein Auto. Am besten im Vorhinein reservieren. Pool im fünften Stock ist nur 1 m tief und ein paar Quadratmeter groß, maximal geeignet für Kleinkinder.

Great location close to 2 metro stations with cafes restaurants and supermarket very close by. Parking was a bonus (€19 per night). Lovely friendly team, bar on ground floor where some of the guests gather for a cleansing drink after a warm day in the city. Also very good value. Undergoing improvements currently which will make it a really lovely place to stay.

I want my money back. I have never entered such a filthy hotel with a room/bed that was infested with bed bugs. Will gladly share my video of bugs crawling on pillow. This hotel should be eliminated from choices on your web site.

Room was small but comfortable. Bathroom has issues- no fan, so mold on ceiling and takes a while to clear out fog from shower. Needs a fan for all the reasons. Coffee in room is awful and no coffee available downstairs unless you pay for large buffet breakfast. Excellent coffee shop nearby , ‘tho. Coffee Bar Calatrava.

- front desk staff were welcoming - hotel is walking distance to many places - hotel is clean - AC is great - hotel has a good appearance - if you like to sleep on VERY VERY FIRM mattresses, then you will be ok. It wasn’t for us. - woke up to moving furniture almost every morning - I was able to hear the hallway conversations from my room very clearly, which it makes me think they were able to hear my conversations too - the bathroom soap bottles were empty upon our arrival - the bartender/server wasn’t too welcoming

We spent two weekend nights, we were given room 407 which is right in front of a club and a alimentarios shop open all night. Noisy crowd all night till after 6am. I am sure the hotel knows about that problem. Expedia gold members or not, we felt we were downgraded; our stay in Madrid less enjoyable because of that

All around a below average experience. The rooms are small, the staff wasn’t welcoming, the location is alright. The beds are uncomfortable, the walls are thin and our room was at the end of the hall near the cleaning closet so all day and night we heard clattering from the cleaning people going in and out. The AC unit can’t be operated from the room so it was very hot. WiFi was spotty.

We arrived early and the receptionist checked us in within a couple of minutes. The room was clean, spacious, and had a safe, refrigerator. The bed was huge and comfortable. Extra pillows and a blanket provided. The cleaning staff cleaned the room early and very well. The breakfast buffet was fresh and had many options. The dining area was spacious. I highly recommend this hotel. Couldn’t have had a better stay.

The hotel was a decent location and walk to SOL and old town of Madrid, but be aware, the street was filled with loud people and cars and motorcycles. I am certainly not opposed to a good party or people having a good time, but it was loud all the way 4/6am for the three nights I was there. If you stay here, ask for a non street facing room and have ear plugs on the nightstand.

The Triple room we had (three Twin beds for two adults and one child) is tiny! There is barely any space to walk. The hotel is otherwise ok. It is clean and less than 10 minutes drive from the Madrid Puerta de Atocha train station.

The reception and maintenance staff were amazing! They were extremely helpful and accommodating. They took care of our luggage and souvenirs while we completed the pilgrimage to Santiago, and everything was in perfect condition when we returned. I will definitely stay there again when I come back to Spain! Angela

Foi a pior experiência com hotéis que tive em toda a minha vida. Fui extremamente mal atendida, meu quarto o banheiro alagava toda vez que tomava banho, ao fazer o check in fui muito mal tratada junto ao funcionário que me atendeu. Não aconselho para ninguém. Sem contar o quarto que ainda se encontrava com resquícios de obra. O hotel não oferece o que promete, me senti muito mal enquanto estava hospedada. A pior experiência da minha vida, nunca me senti tao mal em um local quanto nesse hotel.

Great location to walk to so many things. The staff from check-in to check-out were courteous and extremely helpful. This includes the housekeeping staff and the bar. It's great to have a refrigerator in the room AND a bar on-site.

The hotel is comfortable and clean, the breakfast is good, and access to the metro and buses is convenient. However, I was deeply disappointed by the hotel management’s lack of sensitivity and unwillingness to waive the charge for one of the four nights that were booked and prepaid. It was clearly explained—also through Expedia—that my flight was canceled by the airline and I had to rebook on a different one. As a result, I ended up paying for the same night at hotels in both Madrid and Paris. While I understand that the booking was non-refundable, this request was for a single night and due to circumstances entirely beyond my control. This is exactly where a hotel manager's judgment and empathy are tested—not just their business mindset.

Hotel is just right for a short or long visit to Madrid. Good price. Well located. You can walk around safely and there is also a train station nearby. The “Puerta of Toledo” is nearby, just at the right corner of the hotel. Quiet!!! Nice, clean and big enough rooms. Welcoming and helpful staff! We definitely would stay again.

Great location, great breakfast and excellent staff. Would certainly stay here again. The only thing missing was an iron in the room. After a long flight from the west coast of Canada my clothes could have done with a quick press. Still in Madrid in the Novotel which is also excellent but the Hotel Porcel Ganivet is better located for sightseeing.

El hotel está muy bien , pero nunca, nunca coman en la cafetería.. la comida es congelada, de la que se compra en el súper y calentada en el micro, aunque el precio es de restaurante. No se engañen con la carta, la foto de la misma ni siquiera es del restaurante… el problema se solucionaría si el restaurante no cerrará a las 21:00, ahí si, el desayuno está muy bien, pero nunca alcanzamos a la cena por q recién llegábamos al hotel y ellos estaban cerrando. La cortesía en el hotel por parte de los funcionarios no tiene que envidiar nada a un 5 estrellas.

Superbe hôtel, idéalement situé pour visiter les principaux sites d’intérêts à pieds. Chambre agréable et confortable. Attention à la climatisation, un peu forte même au minimum. Très bonne restauration avec des menus qui changent tous les jours. Petit déjeuner copieux et varié. Personnel très sympathique.
