Rodeway Inn

The room was really big, the minifridge and microwave where tiny and no counter space. Had to go ask for towels like 3 times. The breakfast was toast, bagels, or cereal... Also the pool was under construction but that's meh. Went to the beach just north of here. Good time at the beach and no the trails.

Check in was great. I was upgraded for free. Disappointed in the fact that there was no coffee in the room. The pool and fitness center were closed with no pre notice. The breakfast was non existent.

I was with my family for two nights and had a terrible experience. Breakfast was pathetic serving only cereal, bread and apples. Only condiment available with bread was butter. Juice machines didn't have juice. No other fruits, yoghurt, flavored milk or eggs. One of the days they even closed the breakfast early for no good reason. The pool and gym were closed. No housekeeping. No coffee pods in the room despite coffee machines being there. Even the bedsheets in the room were not washed. I will never come back here.

Expedia misadvertised. The listing said there's a pool and exercise room. Technically there are, BUT THEY'RE permanently CLOSED. The property apparently used to be a Best Western and has transitioned to Rodeway, which has closed the pool, the fitness room, the snack shop, the bar, the ice machines, and everything else they could. There were Keurig in the rooms but no coffee pods because the clerk said they no longer provide them. Yet they left the machines in the rooms!!! Even the drinking fountain in the lobby is closed. Breakfast was white bread, bagels, butter, and jam plus some dry cereal and tiny muffins. Very sad. Our rooms seemed clean except the carpet, which was filthy and turned white socks black. The only redeeming qualities wer the beds being quite comfortable and the linens decent. Expedia owes me a refund for MIS advertising.

Property is not well maintained. The pool (my main reason for choosing this hotel) was out of order. Both restrooms in the lobby were out of order. The rear entrance was also not functional. The smoke detector in my room was laying on top of the dresser with no battery in it. There was no phone in my room, requiring me to use my cell phone to call the front desk who did not answer, making it necessary to find them in person (again). The free breakfast included with my stay was a barebones affair consisting only of a mini-muffins, a couple different kinds of cereal, milk, fruit juices, coffee , and bread & bagels for toasting. I strongly doubt that I will choose to stay here again.

Reserved two rooms. First room, the bathroom was filthy. The toilet had poo streaks in it, no toilet paper, hair all in the shower and dirty sink. Second room had a soiled comfort with an unknown substance. Both red and brown in color. The website didn’t disclose information about the indoor pool being closed. Having 2 small kids with me, that was the highlight for me to reserve this location. But…….pool was closed and under construction. Went back to hotel the following morning because the clerk charged my card 3 times for 2 rooms. Ended up leaving the hotel right away and paying a higher amount for clean rooms elsewhere. Very disappointed as the hotel took away funds from me that were allocated for my grandkids and myself to enjoy the area. When I went in that next morning, I was yet charged again for the 4TH TIME! Now I don’t have the funds to take grandkids to the Washington Zoo…….. Had to ask family to zelle me money just for gas money to get back to Indianapolis. This was my first time being financially able to provide for my family on a quick overnight trip. What a disappointment.

The water feature for kids and pool were CLOSED due to remodeling but they didn't let us know. The whole reason for staying there was for the kids to play at that water feature. Disappointed kids are no fun. Front entrance is closed for construction but there were no clear signs showing you where you should go to check in. No signage inside to direct you to the front counter either. Melanie was SUPER NICE and deserves a raise!!!! Rooms were clean but had a strong perfume smell due to the chemicals used to clean if you are sensitive. Beds were VERY comfortable. I would stay there again when the pool area is open again.

Our room had extensive black mold in the bathroom, all along the flooring and even alongside the wall. Our key cards wouldn’t work either, so one person had to constantly be in the room to let the other in. The staff was friendly, but the hotel is in need of serious renovations and cleaning. They shouldn’t have let someone stay in a room with so much mold.

The staff was very helpful. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived around 5’ish. The room was very dirty, ripped lampshade, ripped mattress pad, coffee maker area was filthy along with bathroom floor. Room itself wasn’t bad - definitely needs a much better cleaning job.

The room need be more clean and smell more fresh

The room was not clean, smoke alarms were off the wall, toe nail clipings on the ground, blood on one of the mattress sheets, one wall had feces on it, pull out bed was broke, and a piece of skin that look like a callus that they ripped off their hand.

Falsely advertising pool open when it was closed, the breakfast was horrible. Nothing out and no one was allowed to restock it. The coffee creamer was as spoiled. The room was not cleaned properly, the bath tub was clogged. If cleaned properly the maids would have fixed it. Cops were called cuz of a fight on my floor. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to nobody. For what they charge you it is not worth it

Carpet in room was dirty. Bathroom floor very dirty as was tub and area behind toilet.

Dirtiest hotel Iv ever stayed in. Everything is broken or shut down. Pool, gym, and game room is shut down. The room and beds were so dirty and stained.

The tub was dirty not stained but actually dirty. The shower curtain was so dirty that it was stiff. There was food left in the refrigerator and no coffee in the room.

The hotel itself was nice. Our key card stopped working every other time we used it. Location was nice.

It is close to I94 exit and rooms have modern amenities.

When we first got here, it seemed okay. It was easy to get to, which was nice after dealing with the wild construction on the freeway. The outside isn’t impressive, the pavement is worn out & it’s directly next to a little seedy liquor store. No big deal as it’s generally clean. Room is actually quite big, & seems clean, although there’s a stale smoke smell. I’m wishing I took the time to read reviews & not look @ price only. When people said nothing works, they meant it. I’m in room 320 now at 3:41am & have been woken up every hour by the entry light coming on by itself. (My daughter and I are on the pull out bed, so this is directly above me.) And there is beeping every few seconds in the hallway, reviews said is the fire alarms, which is not reassuring. The TVs are not set up properly and kept glitching out until we gave up trying to watch anything. Pool and fitness center are both out of commission; it seems there is no end in sight as the reviews from two months ago said the same thing. Shower has shampoo but no conditioner. There was no bedding for the pull out bed; my hubby had to go down to get some, even though there were multiple extra pillows in the room. From what I read, we will have to skip bkfst as toast & bagels won’t cut it for us. The “good price” is still too much for the loss of sleep, and now I wonder if it’s actually dangerous to stay if the electrical is on the fritz.

The hotel was a little off the beaten path but it wasn’t too crowded and the room we stayed in was very nice it was a two room suite and very quiet and clean we have stayed in many other high end hotels that were nowhere as nice as this one for half the price

Great price. Housekeeping needs attention. The room was spacious but was not cleaned well. The bed was made messy. There was hair on the floor in bathroom, tub and faucets were outdated and room had no towels. But the plus was it was half the price then surrounding hotels and restaurants were not far from property

We loved our room and the lady at the front desk was so friendly and accommodating. The toilet was a little low to the floor though. Would recommend this hotel

Atrived at 9pm for a 3pm check-in. She was rude. Told us the room was not clean and not ready. When asked if she received the reservation (from 3 weeks ahead) - she said yes but made zero apologies for having to sit in the lobby while they cleaned the room that was supposed to be ready at 3pm. Cleaning lady was very kind, apologized and stayed to make sure we were okay. The electronic keys provided did not work - for a room 3 doors down.Deadbolt did not function so had to put suitcases against the door since we were not sure if someone else would have keys to our door. The light over couch bed was motion activated - NO WAY TO DISABLE IT! the whole night one of us turned in bed it would turn on! Mold on the celing...really NEVER AGAIN! THE ABSOLUTE WORSE HOTEL WE STAYED IN USA.

Was given another room but it wasn’t clean either. Finally given a different room than what I had rented. Got up there and key didn’t work. Being with 2 3 year olds that were tired it was not fun. It would have been nice if the website would have stated that the pool was as closed would have been nice as well. Staff was amazing it was just the miscommunication that we had to go through all this.

Totally disappointed!!! Went to the beach all day with little kids. Check in time was 3pm . We got there and the room was not ready. Was told they were overbooked the day before and today. Asked how long till ready . She said it would be about 15 minutes. We said we understand we will go to dinner and come back. Upon return 2 hours later . They stated they don’t have a room. We canceled and headed home 3 1/2 hours away. Woke up the next morning and was still charged. BEWARE!!! While waiting people were coming out saying there was mold in the rooms and dirty. No Pool !!!!!!

The clerk that checked me in was very, very rude. There was a guy asking for information, she was very rude and not helpful to him. Next some one called from upstairs asking questions about the room. The clerk literally answered every single question with “I don’t know” 10 x’s. Then it was my turn to check in. She was so focused on her FaceTime call on her personal cell phone, that she couldn’t focus on her job. I will never return to that location.

The outside of the hotel was an eye sore, but the room itself was nice. The members of staff were pleasant, when you could find one. We had a broken toilet seat that was never fixed and there was only one ice machine that worked. The pool, gym and media room was closed. Oh and the “grab and go breakfast” was a joke. My family was there to experience the Dunes, which was awesome! However with none of the hotel amenities available during our stay we had enough. So much so that we returned home a day earlier than planned.

A cozy spot to rest on our cross country trip!

I selected this hotel, based on the pictures of rooms and pool for kids. Although it was similar to the pictures it had other issues. Throughout the building there were doors that were either broken. Door knobs completely ripped off and door keys that did not work. Also, the back door entrance was not locked and they had exposed wires in that area. The hotel was dark in the hallways and kind of creepy. It seem like this was more for truckers and that’s OK it’s just not for families. Overall, we didn’t feel safe and did not stay as we have small children. I would not come here for a family vacation stay.

The oil was closed for remodel, that should be on website, the breakfast could have done options, not just bagel and bread, two diff cereals. The breads were in lunch baggies, so not sure if handled properly. The place was nicely kept so probly ok

Although the workers were polite and friendly, this place needs work, and possibly new management. You get what you pay for is very true out this place. What was once probably a quality Best Western is now a run down Rodeway Inn. Exercise space, pool, arcade all out of order for “remodeling”. “Hot” breakfast was toast packaged in ziplock sandwich bags. And sheets with stains that should be replaced. For simply a bed, this place works. For a vacation stop, spend a little more and avoid that intersection of Melton, or you’ll be in for a disappointing experience.
