Overall nice place. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We got there in the morning and they didn't have any early check in but did hold our luggage so we could go out until the room was ready. We had breakfast included and the food was average. Housekeeping took our extra keycard that we left in the light switch every time they came in. It is an extra cost to use the jacuzzi and sauna area. Not all the jets worked in one of the jacuzzi's. On our 2nd to last night we noticed the a/c was leaking. They promptly came up and did something but the next day it was leaking again. They offered to change our room but we declined since it was our last night. Henrique was absolutely amazing. Always smiling and quick to help with anything you would need or any questions. The staff at the bar and restaurant were not very friendly. If you are walking the city is down a hill but a quick walk. Just be aware you need to walk up the hill to return. Lots of food options close by. Safe area.

The hotel is OK. Reception area, bar and restaurant are all nice with a modern feel. The gym is also good with big spaces and lots of equipment. The rooms though are very tired and feel more like an old travel lodge. Air con was ancient and didn’t work properly so it was an awful nights sleep with poor pillows too.

Nice hotel. Was able to check in early which was amazing after a red eye flight. Staff was super friendly. Rooftop view was amazing. Rooms were clean and comfortable, albeit a bit small. About a 15 minute walk to the water. Overall, we had a great stay here and would highly recommend it.

Indretningen er ændre og trænger til at blive skiftet ud, der er gulvtæpper på værelset. Værelset har en lille minibar og et pænt hvidt badeværelse. Vi havde ingen altan. Hotellet har en lille pool på 8 etage og en opvarmet pool i kælderen. Personalet i receptionen var meget venlige og hjælpsomme. Morgenmadsbuffeten var god - brød, yoghurt, pålæg, ost, frugt, æg, bacon, bønner mv., kaffe/te og vand og juice. Der ligger et stort supermarked lige ved siden af hotellet, og der er ca. 20 minutters gang til Ponta Delgada centrum.

Room was clean & comfortable, but shame all rooms seem to look out onto a busy roundabout. Buffet breakfast was excellent lots of choice & plenty of food being supplied. Didnt eat at the restaurant at night but the bar food was tasty. Staff were very helpful and friendly from reception to the bar. Would highly recommended the tour agency in the lobby, lots of choice at reasonable prices. Plus good guides. Maybe room service could be a bit later, sometimes they were calling before breakfast!! The indoor pool is great, didn't use the outdoor one though. There is a huge well equipped gym (better than some public gyms) Only a 10min walk to the waterfront. Would highly recommend.

Bodde på hotellet i 8 dsgar, och är inte på något vis nöjd med komforten och servicen. Hotellet håller verkligen inte måttet för ett 4 stjärnigt hotell. Fin entre och fin utsikt från rummet som låg på 7 våningen, men städningen var inte bra, rummet ganska slitet, fick mitt täcke utbytt då det fanns blodfläckar på det vilket var riktigt äckligt. Påtalade detta för receptionen som nämner att dom inte byter ut täckena mellan hyresgäster. Gymmet är slitet och maskinerna och övrig utrustning gammal och rostiga. Poolen och spa avdelningen var ok. Hotellet ligger ca 15 minuters promenad från Ponta Delgada centrum, och med tanke på priset är det inte riktigt värt det. Kommer verkligen bo där igen och kan inte heller rekommendera detta hotell lägger därför inte heller upp några bilder.

I liked this place! They have a big gym, and the equipment is ok. I worked out every day. It is also a nice area for running, close to the seaside but also the Parque Urbano up the hill. I ate at the breakfast buffet every day. They could use better cereal, like Alpen Muesli, but it was great they had soy milk. Lots of fruits and other options for carnivores. The evening dinner buffet was also super convenient on bad weather days or if you already walked enough. They have a parking garage that is steep to get into and out of, but it is also easy to find parking on the street weekends and mornings/evenings.

It was a clean hotel, I would recommend it to family and friends, the only thing was their pillows aren’t the best compared to other hotels. The carpet in our room was full of stains. Other than that I can’t complain, staff were nice and especially the gentleman at the bar he went out of his way to serve us coffee after hours.

The hotel is not city center. It is a bit of a walk or an inexpensive Uber. The carpets need shampooing cleaning or replacing. The rooms are. A nice size as well as thr bathrooms, lots of space. Deep tubs and good body lotion. The balcony had a nice view of the rolling and if the water. The front staff were very friendly. Avoid the breakfast, better places to eat in the city and front host was over officious and rude. I decided not to complain because there was a line to see the manager. The hosts English and manners could use some improvement. Rio was very friendly as was their porter Ruben and a woman with bright eyes and dark hair. The manager on staff was young and had a similar surliness to the breakfast host, the attitude seemed all about money instead hosting and comfort. Hire more people like Rio and Ruben and the woman who’s name I didn’t get. Over all for a good price k would stay again because of the room sizes. Otherwise find something more city center The pool is small.

Excellent staff, reception very efficient and helpful. Room carpet had stains and woodwork of the cabinets/ fridge was old and chipped. Air conditioning not effective at cooling room.Fridge barely cold. Shower above bath very weak water pressure ,barely enough water came out. Room serviced daily and was good. A nice stay despite the small highlighted issues. I would return to a different room as i understand showers and aircon were better in them. Well done team!

Did not like the view out of the wondow!mess, rubbish on the ground, no lawns, building process and nothing lovely to look at! Not worth the price per night! Loud noice of TV from the next room! And Expedia Not reflecting on my kind request to send me the invoice for my stay in the hotel VIP Exc. Thank you for considering correct communication and sending me the invoice. DK

The hotel could’ve used some more outlets. It was difficult finding it behind the desk. Also the hotel did not provide a coffee machine. Other than that, it was comfortable and clean but a little far from town. Price was good.

Um hotel desta categoria, nao ter tomadas de carregamento junto a cama, não ter uma tomada livre para carregamento é no minimo vergonhoso. Overall nice place. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We got there in the morning and they didn't have any early check in but did hold our luggage so we could go out until the room was ready. We had breakfast included and the food was average. Housekeeping took our extra keycard that we left in the light switch every time they came in. It is an extra cost to use the jacuzzi and sauna area. Not all the jets worked in one of the jacuzzi's. On our 2nd to last night we noticed the a/c was leaking. They promptly came up and did something but the next day it was leaking again. They offered to change our room but we declined since it was our last night. Henrique was absolutely amazing. Always smiling and quick to help with anything you would need or any questions. The staff at the bar and restaurant were not very friendly. If you are walking the city is down a hill but a quick walk. Just be aware you need to walk up the hill to return. Lots of food options close by. Safe area.

Deep tubs and good body lotion. The balcony had a nice view of the rolling and if the water. The front staff were very friendly. Avoid the breakfast, better places to eat in the city and front host was over officious and rude. I decided not to complain because there was a line to see the manager. The hosts English and manners could use some improvement. Rio was very friendly as was their porter Ruben and a woman with bright eyes and dark hair. The manager on staff was young and had a similar surliness to the breakfast host, the attitude seemed all about money instead hosting and comfort. This property was in a great location. Everything was walkable but at the same time at a decent distance from the city. Walking distance also to the pineapple plantation which is a must see. Only a 10 minute drive from the airport so very quick and easy to and from there. @exploration_wonders approved !

OMG, this was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. The first impression of this luxury hotel is that it's way beyond your pay grade! It's a large, modern luxury hotel with a great location. When the airport shuttle dropped me off down the street I actually walked past this hotel, assuming that the inexpensive hotel I booked would be smaller and more modest. Wow, did this hotel have all the bells and whistles! The front desk staff was friendly and professional (and all spoke excellent English). The hotel is clean and quiet and has all sorts of amenities. I never checked out the pool, sauna or rooftop deck (it was February, after all). Splurge for the optional continental breakfast--you'll be glad you did. There are many expensive hotels here but booking here was like getting a five star hotel for a much lower price point. There's a gigantic supermarket 2 blocks away, and two of the four public bus lines stop in front of/behind the hotel. It's a quick 20 minute walk down to the harbor (all downhill) if you're so inclined. The front desk was so helpful photocopying the public bus schedule for me (a great way to get the lay of the land). They were also incredibly patient finding me two full-day guided tours. No question about it--I know where I'm staying on my next trip to Punta Delgada!

Although this was more than walking distance from city of Ponta Delgada it still was close enough to drive, bus, etc. There were shopping and dining options in and near the hotel. Staff at front desk and bar were great, and we enjoyed it here for our last day before our flight, and drove to city after check out before we flew home in the afternoon.

I liked this place! They have a big gym, and the equipment is ok. I worked out every day. It is also a nice area for running, close to the seaside but also the Parque Urbano up the hill. I ate at the breakfast buffet every day. They could use better cereal, like Alpen Muesli, but it was great they had soy milk. Lots of fruits and other options for carnivores. The evening dinner buffet was also super convenient on bad weather days or if you already walked enough. They have a parking garage that is steep to get into and out of, but it is also easy to find parking on the street weekends and mornings/evenings.

Room was clean & comfortable, but shame all rooms seem to look out onto a busy roundabout. Buffet breakfast was excellent lots of choice & plenty of food being supplied. Didnt eat at the restaurant at night but the bar food was tasty. Staff were very helpful and friendly from reception to the bar. Would highly recommended the tour agency in the lobby, lots of choice at reasonable prices. Plus good guides. Maybe room service could be a bit later, sometimes they were calling before breakfast!! The indoor pool is great, didn't use the outdoor one though. There is a huge well equipped gym (better than some public gyms) Only a 10min walk to the waterfront. Would highly recommend.

I was solo travelling. Stayed for a week. I liked the location. Downside is breakfast not included and parking not included. Upside is there is a great grocery store next door and parking on street is free you just need to find spot. Location is good access to highways for sightseeing the island. Hotel overall is good. I would suggest booking ahead to get better pricing and be specific to request bed type (ie: king/queen size single bed instead of two singles).
