Good option when saving, a bit run down, owner should think of proper refurbishment. Otherwise good parking and staff. Would be good if there was kitchen for good warm breakfast and dinner, but still good option continental.

Hotel Staff have been the friendliest, I’ve ever come across. So helpful..Helped make our 2 night stay a great experience. The 2 security guards, 1 daytime the other nighttime, helped my friends & i with directions, advice on restaurants This Hotel has so much potential, I would return again for the staff alone. The cleanliness of the hotel rooms though..was very poor. Bedrooms - Beds were clean & of a high standard, wardrobe, dresser clean & looked new, but…let down by the Unclean dirty floors, thick ground in dirt. Windows had Cobwebs, broken curtain rod Bathrooms - Unclean, showers cubicle unclean ground in dirty & broken, shower drainage blocked, flooded the bathroom, floors ground in dirt, sink & taps dirty. As 1 of my friends said, Spider-Man had previously stayed because there was Hand & foot marks all over the Walls. We booked 4 rooms, we had 3 ground floor rooms & 1 on the second floor for a 2 night stay. We looked beyond this & saw only the Potential with great staff. We didn’t complain to staff because we only had 2 nights & didn’t want to waste our time negatively. So the staff were not able to rectify the situation We enjoyed our stay despite this. Hoping our criticism is taken positively because the issues I’ve mentioned can be easily rectified.. and we wish the staff nothing but the best

It was a very basic hotel and there were some savoury characters staying there but the staff were helpful when required and the electric car charger worked perfectly so that was a bonus for us. The toilet door wouldn’t stay closed and the handle was coming off.

From the outside it kinda looks like one of those motels you see on netflix where there are killers, but inside you can tell they've made an effort. The staff are very kind and friendly and made me feel very relaxed. There is a security guard on site 24/7 which made me comfortable about leaving my car in the carpark. The carpark is spacious so there was never a struggle. The room was brilliant, some scuffs and marks on the walls/furniture but it's a budget lodge so I didn't expect it to be perfect. But the room was huge, had tons of space, the beds were comfortable, en-suite etc. I really enjoyed my stay actually. I wasn't sure initially but the staff made it great. Also they offered laundry service which I used and it was very fast and good quality.

Unless your company force you to stay here …don’t !! Especially if you are a female traveler. Not that I had any untoward advances you understand but this is a contractor hotel and a really poor one at that. My husband is a contractor and even he would struggle ro stay here. First room felt like a prison cell as no window. Ok I did ask for a ground floor room but this must have been the only single but there was no way I could stay in a cupboard with no natural light for 3 nights. Asked to be moved and I was to the first floor , marginally better at least it had a window . Receptionist wasn’t very smiley , friendly although the female security guard was (yes, security guard need I say more!). Look it’s not the staffs fault they must get fed up with the negative comments about the place but if you can afford more then go for it ..

If you parking in this hotel, you must be careful of trap, they will design a fine for you!

Convenient location with small bar. For food there is an excellent fish & chip shop within 300 yards

Hotel receptionist (Gemma?) was very nice and helpful. However the hotel and rooms are old, dated and quite dirty. Would not recommend staying there for any other purpose other than sleep for a few hours. No bar or food available.

Everywhere very clean, shower in room 217 needs a lot of patience to get the hot/cold water balance right, then it soon drifts off and you start all over again! Apart from that everything excellent.

Shower did not drain well in bathroom. Have stayed in a different room and not had the problem. Could only get limited channels on tv. No BBC or ITV channels

Dirty stained mugs, stains on the bedding and the toilet wasn’t fixed to the floor properly. Holes in the walls and a massive lump of metal sticking out in the double bed. Rubbish nights sleep. Staff were nice, though.

A nice clean enviroment to stay in, the avearage raiting for the sria around the property was not unde the control of primelodge so could be constrewed as being picky.

Checked in the receptionist was friendly enough. Got to the room we found that they put 2x single beds together to make a king size bed. The bathroom was horrible moldy tiles in the shower the toilet had crap in the bottom. It just felt like we was in a refuge centre.

I have stayed a few times before and it has always been fine for me. It is clean and functional and does the job. Reception staff have always been friendly and helpful. Not in the town centre but not the centre is easily walkable. The hotel offers very good value.

Hotel was really noisy as I was near reception on ground floor, maybe some doors put up would help? Tv was tiny and to high on the wall ended up with a sore neck. Apart from that you get what you pay for

I didny like that they want your card details in arrival with a charge of £100 if you destroy the room. Also the bedding made me and my partner very itchy, couldnt sleep comfortable and woke up with rashes

Paid £35 for one night, staff were really nice, and helpful and allowed us to check in earlier for the races. The room was good enough for the price, comfy beds, hot powerful showers and the WiFi worked really well. Would stay again for the price.

It's a low cast hotel but is well placed for the town and the races and cost effective
