We stayed here for 3 nights after being on mainland Portugal for a week and it was a nice vacation from our vacation. Good stuff: comfortable beds, view from our room, food and drinks in the bar. Just ok stuff: breakfast buffet, dinner buffet. Not good: jacuzzi smelled and was luke warm.

Lovely hotel with a nice pool and a beautiful view. Just a few minutes walk into town. Tours pick up at this hotel. Restaurant was buffet though smaller items were available in the bar.

Very nice place, beautiful grounds and pool, located walking distance to many restaurants and shops. We stayed the the hotel before the season so the was a lot od cleanup going on (for the most of the week worker was pressure washing pool area, very noisy). Staff was really friendly and always very helpful. Our room was amazing, very spacious, bright and super clean. I was very happy with my choice of stay to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary (hotel surprised us with bottle of wine and cheese tray) and would highly recommend it

Good location. Room has a gorgeous view. Hotel in general seems like it can use some TLC. Room was clean. Bathroom could be updated. Bar/Snack terrace service was ok. Served both the soup not hot, and same thing with the grilled cheese.

Beautiful hotel, our room balcony had ocean outdoor pool view, as I believe all the rooms do. It was spacious. Staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast in the hotel was delicious. They also have an indoor pool and fitness center. Ample covered and uncovered complimentary parking in the hotel. Downtown was less than 10min drive away. What a wonderful location for a stay on Terceira Island, would definitely come back and stay here.

Beautiful hotel, our room balcony had ocean outdoor pool view, as I believe all the rooms do. It was spacious. Staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast in the hotel was delicious. They also have an indoor pool and fitness center. Ample covered and uncovered complimentary parking in the hotel. Downtown was less than 10min drive away. What a wonderful location for a stay on Terceira Island, would definitely come back and stay here.

I loved the area and hotel and workers but there was one maybe 2 problems. I Stayed in room 125 on ground floor and room was infested by Flying Ants. After one night killing themi complained and they sent a maid to poison the room. Safe poison they said. But more flying ants showed up and we slept another night with bugs and killing bugs. Finally on night 3 i demanded a new room and they happily gave us one. So that experience was unpleaseant. Maybe its a first floor thing. Def room 125 and Yes we kept varanda door closed and they still got in. 2- the outside pool is beautiful but while swimming i noticed the bottom is dirty Possibly from pigeon poop. The pool is highly used by ducks and pigeons and hotel needs to clean it more often. Other than that hotel was great. I dont want to discourage you to stay herethe general experience was great. And the place has free parking and breakfast and great location and nice staff. The room we moved to on 4th floor had no issues. Beware tho of room 125.

This property is beautiful and perfect for families. The ONLY issue is mattresses on beds. Not very comfortable which is surprising considering reputation of Bemsaude Hotels. Has a large pool and pool bar. It also has indoor pool and hot tub, along with a gym. Breakfast buffet is ok. Dining at bar/restaurant is good. Walking distance to town to all shops and dining options. Again, this is perfect for families and large groups.

Estadia maravilhosa, lugar lindo e aconchegantes, funcionário atenciosos, prestativos e sempre com um sorriso no rosto. Café da manhã espetacular, limpeza impecável, com certeza voltarei um outra oportunidade. Eu e minha esposa estávamos comemorando 5 anos de casados, e fomos recebidos com um espumante e duas tortas da dona Amélia, agradeço muito !

Our hotel room was clean and spacious, but the patio furniture had bird poop all over it. When we told the front desk about it, they sent up dessert and wine which was very nice but we just wanted to sit outside. There is a terrible air freshener in the common areas that we thought was axe body spray from the gym at first but then noticed the misters all over the property. The property was in a great location. Walkable to downtown and with views of the water. But the decor was outdated and had charm similar to a nursing home.

Overall, I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was clean. The staff were very, very, friendly and helpful. While the hotel room was very clean, the bathrooms are quite outdated. I would recommend some remodeling at some point as it appears that the actual bedrooms may have been remodeled but the bathrooms are still outdated.

Best service ever from our receptionist, she was amazingly acommodating and really helped us have the best experience. We had to depart early and even got super cute breakfast boxes made just for us.

Evening Bar staff is horrible. I mentioned it to the day staff how horrible the experience was. Lunch staff amazing great service. Some front reception was also great. Others made you feel like they were doing you a favour by being there. Pool area not taken cared off Lots to improve

Fantastic location. Was remarkably quiet when I was there in late May. Comfortable room with great views from balcony. Friendly reception team. Food very good. Bar staff were fine, but seemed to lack confidence, especially when not speaking on their own language.

We arrived early in the morning after an overnight flight. Checkin time in nominally 3pm, but the hotel isn't busy and we hoped for an earlier checkin. No such luck; it was well after 3 when we got our room and Expedia Gold benefits seemed to contribute to the problem. We got an email a couple of days before our stay to say that the kitchen would be closed for more than half our stay. It didn't affect us because we didn't plan to eay dinner there anyway, but it seemed rather unprofessional as they must have known much longer ahead that this was happening. The breakfast was good but erratic. Food in the steam trays was NEVER hot. And we only had pineapple a few days despite there being a pineapple plantation with really good fruit in the Azores. Toaster was useless. Overall a good hotel but not enough attention to detail.

We stayed at the Terra Nostra Garden in Furnas and we were very impressed. The Terceira Mar staff could learn a few things from their sister hotel. The staff was very rude, especially the front desk staff.

Full accommodations without the stuffiness. Seems to be an older hotel outside its prime but aged well. Wonderful pool and grounds and an easy walk to town - best and quickest along the water path. Would recommend to all my family and friends.

We especially liked the view. Also, the parking was easy, and the location was close enough to town to walk. We wish that there had been the ability to make coffee or tea in the room. The only option was to purchase it in the dining room or lounge.

Beautiful hotel, our room balcony had ocean outdoor pool view, as I believe all the rooms do. It was spacious. Staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast in the hotel was delicious. They also have an indoor pool and fitness center. Ample covered and uncovered complimentary parking in the hotel. Downtown was less than 10min drive away. What a wonderful location for a stay on Terceira Island, would definitely come back and stay here.

We stayed here for 3 nights after being on mainland Portugal for a week and it was a nice vacation from our vacation. Good stuff: comfortable beds, view from our room, food and drinks in the bar. Just ok stuff: breakfast buffet, dinner buffet. Not good: jacuzzi smelled and was luke warm.

Estadia maravilhosa, lugar lindo e aconchegantes, funcionário atenciosos, prestativos e sempre com um sorriso no rosto. Café da manhã espetacular, limpeza impecável, com certeza voltarei um outra oportunidade. Eu e minha esposa estávamos comemorando 5 anos de casados, e fomos recebidos com um espumante e duas tortas da dona Amélia, agradeço muito !

Estadia maravilhosa, lugar lindo e aconchegantes, funcionário atenciosos, prestativos e sempre com um sorriso no rosto. Café da manhã espetacular, limpeza impecável, com certeza voltarei um outra oportunidade. Bel hôtel très bien placé pour visiter l'île. Peut-être la plus belle vue de Terceira ! Les chambres sont spacieuses et la vue du balcon un régal, attendre les vagues de son lit c'est top ! Personnel sympathique et accueil très efficace. Très jolie piscine extérieure fraiche mais baignable. Seul bémol : la nourriture et c'est vraiment dommage pour cet établissement : buffet bas de gamme et service au bar dégoutant (j'ai commandé une salade au saumon et est eu une salade aux crevettes mal décongelées donc crues mais chaudes sur un mix de salades en sachet avec des oeufs durs chaud aussi). Ils ont un bijou en main, la déco est splendide il ne manque plus qu'un cuisinier et ce sera parfait ! Sinon les cocktails étaient très bons et pas chers. Beaucoup de bons resto juste à côté, donc hôtel à recommander.

Good location. Room has a gorgeous view. Hotel in general seems like it can use some TLC. Room was clean. Bathroom could be updated. Bar/Snack terrace service was ok. Served both the soup not hot, and same thing with the grilled cheese.

This hotel was good. The hotel need to provide at least a kettle in the room. I asked for a kettle so I could make a coffee in the morning and there was a 10€ charge. Also water was only given on the day of arrival. Definitely needs improvement in that area. The restaurant was closed for renovations so only had a few limited sandwich options in the bar which were very good. Breakfast was ok.

The hotel was still very much in construction for the pathways connecting different parts… upon arrival at the carpark, we need to hand carried (and lifted) our luggage so as not to damage them because of all the volcanic rocks… that’s after our 8 hours hike…. Even at the reception we were politely treated by a young lady and were offered to carry one luggage (we had 4 in total). The setting was difficult for the staff. The problem came when I was standing naked in the shower figuring how and when hot water would come… eventually the same young lady came after my boyfriend made few calls… and we were offered to use the public shower at the pool ?! After 15 minutes waiting naked and exhausted and the cold water was icy cold, the answer was simply unacceptable. We ended up getting some lukewarm water from the handheld shower, but eventually the water turned back to icy cold. We were rushing for some visits, so we braved the cold and went out. We were explained just because many people were using the shower at that time (4pm) and the workers would come check the day after. We were furious !! We asked for partial refund but were declined. Instead we found a bottle of sparkling wine and a ham and cheese board in the room after we returned from dinner. All this came a little too little and too late. And we left all these untouched throughout our stay - their presence reminded us the unpleasant experience.

Good (superior) room that was nicely furnished and room cleaning spotless. Very nice pool area. Breakfast good with excellent service. Information given at check-in was very inaccurate and sports activities (like gym and Paddel) very inaccessible on weekends as rendered by external contractor working on its own schedule.
