Wir waren 4 Nächte in dieser schönen Hotelanlage. Sie ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Alle Angestellten waren immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind wirklich geschmackvoll eingerichtet und wurden täglich gereinigt. Das Frühstücks-Buffet ist vielseitig und schmeckte fein. Das Personal beim Frühstück war aufmerksam. Wir haben auch den kostenpflichtigen Wellness-Bereich (15 Euro für 80 Minuten) besucht. Er ist schön angelegt und bietet viele Möglichkeiten an. Die Betreuerin "Rosa" versuchte alles, damit man sich wohl fühlt. Besten Dank! Die Bar und der längliche Aussenpool auf dem Dach (5. The only thing we could fault is that there is policy on guests reserving sunbeds with a towel very early in the morning, so you often can't get a sunbed in the sun which is part of the reason we were drawn to the hotel, for the pool area, which is lovely.

Outstanding service, exceptional breakfast, great spa, extra comfy beds, piano playing every evening, surrounded by a beautiful park, every team member went above and beyond. We got chocolates and cava, and silk towel to put our feet on every morning. A corner of paradise. We'll be back :)

A wonderful hotel with high standards all over the line. The rooftop is only accessible for non suite guests after 5pm. Same goes for the spa but you can pay your way in there. The breakfast was top top class and of course Cava and/or Mimosa is there as well😅 All in all, one of the better hotels I have been to. I believe it is one of two six star «Gran Lujo" hotels on Gran Canaria

A classy hotel. Well maintained. Multiple restaurants (though not all were open). Rooftop pool and bar/restaurant. Nice location. Don't know how to say it any better but we would love to stay there again.

Absolutely fantastic week at the Santa Catalina - Royal Hideaway Hotel!! Half board, so we got to enjoy the delicious daily breakfast at the Hotel followed by dinner at the 1890 La Bodeguita - fabulous food & service at both! The hotel is just so beautiful and staff cannot do enough for you through your entire stay! We had 3 spa sessions to enjoy even more relaxation during the stay! Cannot recommend this hotel enough - will definitely be returning!!

Hotel in total is good and we enjoyed our stay. Although its five star hotel, to me it looks good 4 stars hotel not 5 stars. Swimming pool is a bit small but super clean. The SPA is very nice and calm atmosphere. I would suggest to book junior room as normal room doesn't have access to SPA or roof top swimming pool. However you can buy SPA pass but not rooftop swimming pool while staying in normal room. Parking is €20 per a day which is a-bit expensive. Also rooftop bar is open to all guest after 5:30. Two staff were running whole roof top bar which was not enough at all. As the roof top bar is open to public they treated local people nicer than us. Mini bar is not free and they forgot to put any sign about the price which was naughty. However when I complained about it they said it was our fault but at the end I paid for what I had. It would be nicer to put sign that costumer knows the price.

The hotel itself is a old-fashioned gem. We stayed in junior suite facing the front of the Hotel. Very quiet, airconditioning was a bit off and the air in the room kind of dusty. One of the best parts were the 3 swimming pools. And the breakfast, one the best ever!

Very elegant hotel with spectacular gardens. However once you get on the elevator to your room the experience goes downhill. The ceiling in the elevator was covered with dirty spots. The wallpaper down the hallways was lifting and the woodwork was chipped in many places. The carpets needed steam cleaning and a good vacuum. Our room was about 85 when we arrived. The AC was off and didn’t function properly. Luckily there was a ceiling fan. The was a large cockroach dead in the living room. The bathroom floors were dirty and had hairs. The sofa in the living room was too large for the wall it was placed against so it was cockeyed. Neither the pillows or mattresses had protective covers. The balcony was huge but sparsely decorated leaving little sitting room. The shower oddly had wallpaper and there was mold in the corners. I felt like I was staying at a tired vacation rental. This hotel has wonderful bones but lots of deferred maintenance. The pools and rooftop bar were lovely.

We stay here for one / two nights every year. Unfortunately this years room wasn’t great. (232) there was a smell when we entered of drains. The room ac also didn’t work properly so the smell lingered. The basin drain leaked into the basin drawer, which ruined my toiletry bag and toothbrush. The shower was the main problem, the drain didn’t work and so the water flooded the room. We needed to use the towels to dry the floor which was super dangerous and slippery. All in all not a great stay, which was really disappointing. Normally this is a good hotel, however for the premium price of the rooms we may look elsewhere next time and try a different brand.

Väldigt bra hotell med mycket bra frukost och fantastiska restauranger. Trevlig pianobar. Dock var städet lite si så där. Ont om dricksglas i rummet. Bara fyra stycken inklusive tandborstglas

Hotel is well located between old town and commercial center. Building is gorgeus, bed was good as well shower. They have a dangerous problem. The shower unit leaked water to the polished marble floor in the bedroom. We did not notice this in the dimm room and after the shower my wife slipped. It is more slipery than ice. Luckily she got only bruises, no bones broken. But this is life threatening problem. We reported and claimed this to the staff, but it seemed, that not real understanding and more denial than correct actions. We sealed the shower with towels for the rest of the time. So a nice hotel with a big danger, not recommended.

The public spaces were lovely and the staff friendly, efficient and helpful. Breakfast had plenty of choice and the quality was good. Served on a pretty terrace made for an enjoyable experience. The bedroom and bathroom were extremely attractive but lighting was a little confusing and the room was a tad on the dark side. Our balcony which was supposed to have garden views looked out onto other bedrooms opposite and they were very close. Because of this there was very little sun or privacy.

Lovely hotel, great welcome but slow check in. Staff exceptional very helpful and friendly Beds very comfortable and linen was high quality. The hotel is lovely and staff are warm and welcoming. There is a pool on the roof which is great for a dip in the heat and a larger pool downstairs which was also great and never too crowded. We used the spa frequently and were delighted to find its use was free as we had booked a suite. We invested in a suite for this holiday as we were celebrating a special anniversary. Although the suite was spacious and comfortable, the way it was laid out with large wooden shutters separating the bedroom and sitting room that couldn't be moved made the bedroom dark with no window of its own.

Worst bed ever. I could feel the springs. Safe was locked when we got there, requested someone to open it, they never showed up. Shower door leaks, giant puddle. No free water. Staff and restaurants were very good! Very clean.

Fabulous hotel within the grounds of the very picturesque Dormas Park. Would have given it a full 5* rating had it not been for insufficient drawer space in the bedroom for a 7 night stay and the noise coming from an adjacent sports centre, school, and outdoor swimming baths on the north facing side of the hotel. This was particularly irritating at times when relaxing by the hotel swimming pool or on the balcony back in the room. The rooftop bar also got quite loud in the evenings and because our room was on the floor below, not far from the source, caused me to complain. The hotel dealt with the complaint very professionally and expeditiously by moving us to a quieter room which also turned out, to our surprise, to be a free upgrade. All of the staff we encountered were very courteous and customer focused which contributed to a very enjoyable stay despite the aforementioned downsides.

This hotel is a beautiful oasis in the city. The facilities and staff were all excellent. It is a 40/50 urban walk from the old town & main beach. Our only disappointments were a very long wait to check out (over an hour) and a disturbed night following a wedding in the hotel. The wedding noise was not an issue but tidying the outdoor space just outside our rooms went on until the early hours - worth checking

This is a high end property so was expecting high end service, the room wasn’t ready even though we were allowed to go in, not tea/coffee facilities or mini bar been updated. Other things only little things but forgot the lemon in our gin and tonic, the room service app that they expected you to use wasn’t working so phoned through the order but due to language differences one of the orders was wrong. Asked for some blankets which should have been in our room but weren’t , asked at reception but had to phone 3 hours later as they hadn’t arrived

Tolle Lage am Park Santa Catalina. Die Bushaltestellen, um in beide Teile von Las Palmas zu gelangen, sind auch für Gehbeeinträchtige gut zu meistern. Staff incredible, was an anniversary break, bubbles and chocolates delivered to hotel room as gift from hotel. Room service food was not great the chicken was tough and chewy in both of our club sandwiches so had to remove and leave it. The steak I ordered in restaurant was over cooked, sent it back and it arrived beautifully cooked. Overall a great stay would have given a solid 5 if it were not for the food issues.

The hotel has an older charm but is absolutely up-to-date with amenities and style. It is spotlessly clean everywhere. All staff in every area are knowledgeable, helpful, respectful and very friendly. The only surprise we found was the extra charge to use the rooftop pool area and a bed charge for the wellness pool area. This did not spoil our stay, however. We stayed half board and the food in the restaurant was fabulous. A great choice, well cooked and beautifully presented. The staff in this restaurant were particularly friendly and accommodating (I am ceoliac, so have to be careful). Breakfast choice is vast and I was so pleased to see extra items for gluten free guests. We really did have a lovely time and would most certainly return to the Santa Catalina!

There are a few aspects here that the management should take into account if they are to live up to their five-star status. We had a lovely stay, good accommodation, good food, but some services need to be improved. The La Bodeguita restaurant, where we had half board included, requires you to call every day and make an appointment. Like any person who goes on holiday where it is warm and you also have a beach, of course you leave. The problem is that when you call to make an appointment, many times no one answers, their excuse is that they are very busy. Coming back from the beach, you go to the restaurant in person to make a reservation but to your surprise you find out that 6, 7, 8 pm is not possible because the tables are occupied. The only thing left is to eat after 8 pm, which we are not very happy about. Then another problem that needs to be solved. The preferential treatment of customers. We do not drink alcohol, so I will only order water or a non-alcoholic beer after the meal. You order from the waiter and he is very unfriendly (and here I would like to specify that only that older gentleman with gray hair and more solid like that) had that behavior), brings you the bottle, which he leaves on your table and that's it. The neighbor at the next table orders a bottle of wine which the waiter brings him and then pours into his glasses. As for these waiters, it is visible from a distance that they are somehow selective with the customers, to not use a harsher word.. Thx

Absolutely fantastic week at the Santa Catalina - Royal Hideaway Hotel!! Half board, so we got to enjoy the delicious daily breakfast at the Hotel followed by dinner at the 1890 La Bodeguita - fabulous food & service at both! The hotel is just so beautiful and staff cannot do enough for you through your entire stay! We had 3 spa sessions to enjoy even more relaxation during the stay! Cannot recommend this hotel enough - will definitely be returning!!

Half board, so we got to enjoy the delicious daily breakfast at the Hotel followed by dinner at the 1890 La Bodeguita - fabulous food & service at both! The hotel is just so beautiful and staff cannot do enough for you through your entire stay! We had 3 spa sessions to enjoy even more relaxation during the stay! Cannot recommend this hotel enough - will definitely be returning!!

Really excellent breakfast with lots of choice and beautiful breakfast setting, wonderful rooms with comfortable bed, the hotel is set I really stunning grounds. Very nice pool which was a bit cold in December, limited food menu pool side for lunch, staff were good but did not walk around taking any drink orders, always had to order each drink at the bars. A high end 5 star hotel, will be back

This hotell is magnificent. Its difficult to compare with most hotels. Its both old and modern. Lovely breakfast. Lovely pool with a very nice man to help you. Clean nice room. If anything negative we would comment on the resturant 1860. The service is not excellent, warm rosewine, tender loin was good, but hardly any vegetables and sous was cold. Not so good, and next visit we had iberico meat that was dry and not good. The bill was wrong and no excuses. Actually the waiter was rude. We asked where to tell about this and he told us on the internet. We could not tell the chef!. But the stay was good in the hotell. It was our 36 wedding day. We even did get a bottle of cava from the hotel. The woman in the travelguide help room, was so helpfull and nice.

Fantastic historical hotel with beautiful garden. The room was very nice and clean. Downside was the experience at the lobby bar. We ordered a couple of sandwiches which was absolutely not eatable. The French fries was raw. Made us feel sick and uncomfortable. We gave this feedback to the waiter but he didn't care and we had to pay it all. Big minus.

Lovely hotel with great ambiance. Breakfast selection was great with good quality. Parking garage is convenient, priced a little steep for guests but comparable to garages in the vicinity. The hotel gym was top notch. Dumbells could go up just a little higher but you can definitely get a good workout in.
