NH Collection Santiago de Compostela

Es segunda vez que me quedo en santiago en este hotel y siempre está impecable, además el personal es super cómo tratan al cliente indicando todo lo sugerido, el aseo impecable, el desayuno muy variado y completo. Buen Gym, la zona donde está es muy tranquila. A 12 minutos caminando de la catedral.

One night stay in junior suite. Suite was very spacious with a door to the bedroom to keep it separated which was great. Nice comfy bed and everything was clean. Friendly staff at reception and very helpful for an earlier check in after early morning arrival after finishing the Camiño. Nice outdoor terrace for a drink and a bite to eat. There was a gym, swimming pool & sauna but can’t comment as we didn’t use them. Parking was a little tight for us because we have a van with roof bars so we couldn’t go in the underground car park, but there was a free public car park also outside the hotel on first come first serve basis. After a little waiting we managed to get a space. About a 15 min walk into Santiago itself, suited us since we have a small dog so we liked the walk, but if you want to be in town centre this isn’t the one for you. Would definitely stay here again, suited us perfectly.

Nice indoor and outdoor pool. Bed was very comfortable and cold A/C!

Great location and fantastic breakfast with something for everyone. Two pools sauna and steam room which were very nice.

Modern spacious hotel with excellent facilities. My room was big with space to move . The bathroom was very large and modern. Staff were very polite and helpul. Breakfast was very good. Easy 15 minute walk to cathedral through a lovely green park with a lake

What a true disappointment this hotel was. My partner and I were on the last night of a 10 day trip driving the coast from Santiago de Compostela down to Lisbon and back. We spent a few hours looking at hotels on Hotels.com as we had a free reward night so we wanted to make our last night really special. We picked the NH Collection Hotel because of it\'s Hammam, sauna and indoor swimming pool. We called ahead to ask about the hours of the spa area and to confirm that there was a hammam which was what we were really looking for in a hotel. The first thing we noticed in our room was that there was no robe or slippers to walk to the spa area with. We called the front desk and they said they would bring us a robe, but they never did. We walked to the spa in our suits and a towel and bare feet and when we arrived to the spa- we found that the sauna and the hammam were not turned on so we had to wait for them to heat up. It was 9pm and the spa closes at 10pm. An employee came to us and said "The spa closes at 10pm you know" to which we said yes and that it was disappointing we were wasting 20 minutes of our spa time just heating things up. The dry sauna never really got to a hot temperature and the hammam was broken so did not work at all. Neither of the employees we talked to before booking that day told us the hammam was broken. Overall- this hotel was HIGHLY disappointing and I will never book at a NH Hotel again. I am very upset we wasted a free awards night here.

Meets the criteria for a high quality clean hotel with a worthy breakfast buffet. One feature that I particularly enjoyed was the large lounging area in the lobby- made me wish I had brought a card game or strategy game along to play with my friends in the evening. An excellent place to unwind at the end of a long day. Another niche feature was the Parque da Musica en Compostela- a park with a small pond across the street from the hotel. As someone who enjoys nature photography, I spent one of my mornings birding in the peaceful park. Also easy walking distance to the more heavily touristed Old Town and Cathedral.

Our stay was disappointing in that the hotel did not present as a luxury hotel. For the price it did not meet our expectations. The indoor pool area was overwhelmingly hot, and not possible to even hang out in. The outdoor pool was closed, which we were not informed of. We were not able to even access the loungers to relax outdoors in the hot weather. There was nowhere available at the hotel to lounge outside. The breakfast buffet had lots of attractive pastries, but that’s it. For €33 per person everything else was pitifully lacking. The few hot food items offered were congealed and swimming in grease. They did offer to cook eggs for you, but that’s not sufficient to make up for the lack of quality food. It is a complete waste of money, especially given how reasonably priced and of high quality other restaurants in Santiago are., The hotel is also not close enough to the main Santiago de Compostela area. Would not recommend this hotel.

Un Hotel en una área estupenda y tranquila, moderno y con muchas facilidades

5 stjärnigt hotel i utkanten av centrala stan. Börjar bli slitet, lamporna sitter på sniskan, garderobsdörren går knappt att glida, barskåpet går inte att stänga tyst. Småsaker, javisst, men ett sånt bra hotel borde hålla efter med sånt. Renligheten var sämre än man kan förvänta sig, dammigt och smuts på glas. Bättre ljudisolering tack! Servicen var utmärkt.

El hotel está muy bien y dispone de muy buenas instalaciones. La atención del personal es muy buena, acorde a la categoría del hotel. En cuanto a la habitación estaba muy bien. Muy limpia y las camas, almohadas, sábanas y toallas de excelente calidad. Buena isonorización, tuvimos un excelente descanso. Un punto muy destacable: el desayuno es EXCELENTE!! Las piscinas, disfrutables, tal vez sugeriría mejorar en algo la temperatura de la piscina interior. La exterior no es climatizada. Muy recomendable, volvería.

Our room smelt of drains and needed to keep the window open at all times. Breakfast ok but expensive at 20 euros each. Convenient 10 minute walk into the centre. Had car parking at 11 euros per night.

Un hotel viejo y descuidado con humedad en los cuartos y lleno de polvo. El personal hace lo que puede con lo que tiene. La piscina tenía no solo hojas de árbol. Tenía ramas completas que nadie se molestó en limpiar. No lo recomiendo en lo más mínimo. A partir de ahora pensaré dos veces antes de seleccionar NH para mis viajes

Habitación limpia,sin embargo tuvieron que cambiarme las sabanas de la cama 7 veces porque estaban rotas, pero el personal muy atento Y considerado; ubicación bastante cerca de la Catedral, buen desayuno

Great hotel, spacious modern rooms, great location, less than 10 minutes by taxi to Santiago’s Cathedral, Uber not available but taxi service fine, hotel can provide local taxi number, great breakfast. Recommend for leisure and work stays.

Hotel muy cómodo si se viaja en coche. Habitaciones amplias y cómodas. Personal muy amable, sobretodo en el desayuno. El buffet ha mejorado bastante en variedad y calidad (estuve hace 2 años). En esta ocasión no disfrutamos de la piscina y demás instalaciones ya que llegamos tarde. Por poner una pega, la ducha se ve anticuada y le falta presión de agua para un hotel de esta categoría.

Zimmer viel zu kalt konnte nicht geheizt werden. Am Empfang konnte mir nicht geholfen werden. Musste mit einer Jacke schlafen 😂 Es hatte eine Badewanne was schön war nach dem Camino

The breakfast buffet was excellent. I was surprised that there was no safety box in the room. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the old town of Santiago de Compostela.

Comfortable room. Helpful staff. Quiet neighborhood & we felt safe.

This hotel resembles the standard brands (Marriott, Hyatt, etc.). The room is well laid out, good bathroom, though lighting in the bathroom could use some updating.

Not a 5 star hotel. Some of the furniture was dated and scratched. The room did not have slippers, we ordered then through the website but they never brought them. The ventilation is noisy and can’t be turned off. Even on hot, it was giving cold air.

Staff (ex. Elia) was very professional and competent, as well as friendly and caring. Room was spacious and hotel was quiet. Breakfast was outstanding!

Carlos nos atendió de maravilla en la recepción

The light was out for a good hour and a half which ruin our dinner plans as we could not take a shower after a whole day walking. The hotel did not apologize nor offer to cover the room service for our dinner.

Taxi never showed and at the last minute I asked for a hotel employee to drive me to the bus station. They did it!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner menus were exquisite.

Room was good, Leisure area was ok. Breakfast was excellent. Choice of dinner and bar food was very limited.

It was a useful place to stay that was quiet after the bustle of Central Santiago de Compostela. The room was spacious and well decorated. We had issues trying to order room service but that was resolved by going down to reception. The restaurant menu in the dining room at night is extremely limited.

Great location. Very peaceful surroundings and a pleasant walk to the Cathedral. Breakfast it’s outstanding. Great bathroom. My only observation is the bed is too hard for my taste, but good nonetheless. It’s next door to the Business Faculty of Universidad de Compostela
