Motel 6-Bay Saint Louis, MS

Amenities were very limited. Did not have an iron on the premises.

Decent place to stay clean and reasonably priced ususally not in the room except to sleep and my dog likes it here too. We had a great stay!!! Free coffee in the morning close to all the places we visit when here.

The laundry room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I didn't like the vending and ice machine area. Could have been nicer and could have had a candy machine as well. I also didn't like the patio area. The chair and table could have been updated to at least a picnic table or something of higher quality. The rooms should also come with more towels shampoo and conditioner and harder water

The towels were very small and hard, there was no shampoo, conditioner or anything of the sort. Glad we brought our own. The water smelled funny. The hotel is VERY dated and needs a lot of work. There was food still in our fridge from the guests before us. The AC worked well and the TV took a very long time to finally come on.

Everything was clean , property well maintained.A little outdated. Bathroom in need of repairs and smelled of urine. I bleached it up to get the odor out of it. Except for that everything was really clean.

Walls were dirty, door looks like somebody punched it in, floors were dirty just not a very clean room.

I moved the first time because it had roaches in the bathroom. They moved me to a new room and I woke up with roaches in my room. I checked out early. The clerk was wonderful, but the facility is horrible the day. Clerk was wonderful.

So first of all check in was easy and guy at desk was really nice. Room was nasty! Before you even walk in the door facings are all rotted out. Open the door and it stinks which to be fare we had to get a smoking room and I knew it would stink so I brought a air freshener with me which did solve that problem. Flooring is a loose and not glued down bed sheets had a couple of small stains. Husbands feet were black from walking on the floor he had to wash them in the tub that didn’t drain. Location felt safe enough. So this is an all day $50 motel. They should not be a allowed to price gauge for special events like cruising the coast that $40-$50 room cost us $130. Never again!!!

Check in was effortless , room large & spotless , bed comfortable & spacious. Shower was clean with lots of hot water. Only negative comment would be the patron above us sounds as if they were jumping rope or falling thru ceiling.

Front desk was the absolute sweetest lady ever! Downside, wifi wasn't the best, TV didn't work at all and neither did our room phone to call front desk. Got a non smoking room and the comforter had burn holes in it.

We love this Motel 6. It has to be the best kept secret on the Mississippi Gulf coast. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. The bed is very comfortable. There’s plenty of hot water in the shower. It’s dog friendly, and they have FANTASTIC grass areas for the dog. It’s a 5 minute drive to the beach. We come a lot. The owners have done a lot of improvements this year. Fresh paint, new bathroom towel hooks and towel bars, exhaust fans, baseboards. It was great. We’ll be back asap. It’s blissfully quiet at night and you don’t hear other guests inside your room.

Ok for a one night stay to visit friends. Room was remodeled, bathroom was NOT. Outlet by the vanity mirror did not work so had to do hair by the front door. But for the price, it was comfortable and quiet. Nice front desk staff.

Staff, both at check-in and and check-out were polite and professional. Room was clean (most important). Inside of entry door needs to be painted (looks a bit ghetto). Lighting choice is harsh. The bedside lamps built into wall are just poor light choices even though I assume they were chosen for durability and less likely to suffer from accidents or abuse.

Uncomfortable beds and flat pillows. Can't say I'd stay again considering the price vs some other hotels not being that much more expensive.

Only complaint is that the bed is not comfortable. I really was on there to sleep and shower. Nice location. Staff was friendly. No real complaints

Bed was comfortable the room was clean. It was pretty full because of the storm. Noisy but the fan drowned out the other rooms.

No one was in the office to check in. The worst experience ever. Now I know why to stick to Marriott only hotels.

The Good: The rooms were clean and the beds were confortable. We even had a small fridge and microwave in the room. The Bad: The shower only worked on one setting - all the way to left, on hot. However, we didnt have any hot water. At all. The Ugly: We immediately spoke to the front desk and asked for another room. She said she would call maintenence as she didnt have any other rooms. So, cold showers it was. We came back from Gulfport and checked in with her. She said maitenance came and it was fixed. We got to the room, and nope, it was all still the same. More cold showers. The next morning we spoke with the manager and he went up to our room to verify. He offered for us to go to another room to shower. But that was all. I told him that didnt help us at all because we were packing to go home. We needed the problem solved the night before. All he said was that he tried to fix the problem and we refused. End of Story: Don't be fooled by all of the so called good reviews. This is not a good establishment as the staff could care less about the guests. Pay the extra and go to a better hotel.

The staff here was awesome. I needed something printed and they helped me within minutes. Would not accept a tip. Staff asked quite a few times if there was anything I needed. It’s a great value for the price you pay. Not a luxury hotel by any means but very safe and helpful staff!!!

I had an issue on the first night with my room, the front desk staff addressed it immediately and through out my few day stay checked in on us.

Didn’t get the room we booked. The manager was the rudest man I have ever met, was mad about our accommodations being wrong as if it was our fault when he told us the wrong room to stay in. Gave us the key card to TWO different people’s rooms that were occupied, so we had to go back to the front desk twice. The front desk lady was nice but the manager is a nightmare. Otherwise the rooms and accommodations are fine.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and housekeeping excellent. Room facilities were comfortable and in good condition.

Juanita, who checked me in, was very nice and friendly. She gave me all the information I needed and told me to let her know if I needed anything. Our room was nice and clean. The next morning, Kim made the check out pricess very easy. She asked if our stay was satisfactory; and, told us to come back to see them again. The property and room were nice and clean; and the staff was awesome!

A younger gentlemen was at the front desk when we checked in and an older gentleman was at the front desk when we checked out. Both of them were so very kind and went above and beyond to be helpful.

There was an issue with my debit card when checking in. The desk clerk quickly resolved it. It was a pleasant stay. My family and I felt safe. It's also a great location.

The lady who checked me out was rude as they come. I called the manager to get accurate info, he hung up on me after his worker called me a dumb b*****. I go here often. And i today i was told by a low level worker that if i go there again i will be arrested for trespassing. So if management would like to call me and tell me if this is true or not that would be great. Need to know for my February plans.

The office was closed when I arrived shortly after dark, with only a "night window" open. That mede me wonder about the neighborhood, but it turned out OK. The room was sparce, but comfortable. Bay St; Louis is a cute little town that i'd like to visit again.

Close to the beach. It was quiet and we had a wonderful time.

We did not even stay we felt so unsafe , got there after 9 and they had a man sitting outside our door and people hanging outside didn’t feel our vehicle was going to be safe either! We left and had to get a hotel room somewhere else!

I like this hotel, I know it’s a local favorite. They are friendly and nice and it’s right by food places if walking.

The only good thing about this hotel was the service. The desk clerk was extremely friendly and helpful. The TV in my room kept going out the first day I was there. The shower in my room did not work and ended up having to sit in the bathtub ( that was not big enough for a grown person) to wash. The was no breakfast just coffee available

The motel was convenient for my purposes. I didn't like it that there was no break- fast.

I like this hotel, I know it’s a local favorite. They are friendly and nice and it’s right by food places if walking.

Wonderful stay at the Motel 6. Super convenient to restaurants, playground and walking trail. Beaches only a short drive away. A couple of improvements needed for ease of use on shower handle and tighter connection for the cellphone charging outlets.
