We loved this hotel and they had the best breakfast buffet. I do wish the kids play area was open during the week as we booked this hotel for that reason and it did not show any specific times for the weekend only. My children were very upset as we stayed there for the extra kids amenities

Fantastic stay! Renovated Harbour view room easily accommodated a family of 4, the day beds along the window convert to singles and were very comfortable for the kids. Pool area is excellent. The staff are very good with children, they were given small gifts on arrival and fruit and sometimes treats in the room everyday. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Fabulous!

Wonderful hotel to stay in, one of the best. The newly renovated rooms are perfect for a sound nights sleep. I loved the extra refrigerator draw to put non bar purchases. Nicole who checked us in provided wonderful service, so friendly.The only down sides were waiting for elevators and the line to get in for breakfast buffet in the morning. I would definitely stay again.

Newly created family rooms are relevant & superb and of a good size by HK standards. Ofcourse prices are very high but if you dont mind paying for your family's comfort then this is it. They even have a very-thoughful family lounge which is a nice touch. My kids went there for their bedtime milk and light snacks. Staffs were attentive and 5star service throughout.

ニューイヤーの花火を観に、海岸に近いこちらのホテルを選びました。山が見える側のお部屋でしたが、景色が最高に綺麗で夜景に感激しました。内装は年月が経っているようでしたが、お洒落な感じで清潔で格式高い印象でした。バスローブなど高級ホテル仕様なため日本人には大きすぎて使いづらかったですが、スリッパやタオルと共にリネンは毎日変えてくれて清潔に過ごせました。お風呂は古い仕様で蛇口がとても固かったです。ジョンマスターのアメニティなど、バスソルトは嬉しかったです。悪かった点ホテルはショッピングモールの中から行くために分かりづらく、辿り着くのに苦労しました。チェックイン後、部屋まで荷物を運んでくれたのですが、部屋に着いてからだいぶ待たされました。花火からホテルに戻って来た時に、ラウンジで歌手の人が歌っていて盛り上がっていました。場が少し雑然としていたせいか、エレベーターの方に行こうとしたらボーイに外に出る道を促されそうになったのでかなり失礼だなと思いました。全体的には便利だし綺麗なホテルだったので良い滞在になりました。

We booked a deluxe twin room which is supposed to have harbour view. It didn’t really live up to our expectations as what we saw most from the windows was buildings. There was only a small peek of harbor from the very edge of the window.

Disappointing stay. Rooms have been nicely updated, but the Shangrila “smell” is too strong and quite nauseating. The in-room water dispenser (hot and cold water) is very noisy as it boils water every 10-15 minutes. The light switch panel next to the bed was flashing on and off the entire time and the night light switch was faulty.

The room i stayed was recently renovated and it is clean with all the needed toiletries provided. The room has an amazing view facing the harbour. Fruits were provided in the room and ecen chocolates on a particular day! It is connected to the hotel and the MTR so it is very accessible to move around.

I like Shangrila hotels in general. This one is a bit dated. Needs a rooftop bar. Restaurants are expensive and so so. Central atrium is huge and useless. Rooms are small. Furniture and bathrooms need a redo. Lobby is poorly designed. Basically looks like a 1980’s hotel. All the more so since I just came from a cheaper suite in a brand new hotel in Macau. Night and day That said staff are pleasant and room staff are good. A pleasant stay but not very good value.

Newly renovated horizon rooms are very cosy and comfortable. The room features lots of thoughtful design details like bed-side panels, charging station and plugs. Bathroom comes with a Toto washlet and the most powerful shower ever. Buffet breakfast was what you'd expect from a Shangri-la - super impressive spread and great quality.

great location, great staff: the hotel is really amazing located just above Pacific Place, a rather new luxury shopping mall. Ideally located in Central too, with great locations to be at walking distance. Truly loved this hotel, we will no doubt come back!

we reserved 3 rooms for my wife and 2 friends. We bought breakfast for 2 for each room but staff insisted we only have 1 breakfast for each room. The staff didn't realize the mistake and also the way the staff handled it was terrible. This was an excellent hotel but now it changed our view. We don't like it.

The worst Shangri-La experience ever. Checked in around noon. Understood that the room is not ready so we went out for lunch. Came back after 3pm only to realize that our room was still not ready. We finally got our room keys at around 5pm... Staff compensated us 500 HKD credit after we started to complain (politely of course). So I’m guessing if you’re being nice and wait without saying anything, you would not get anything. Our harbor view room was prob the worst among their harbor view rooms… not exactly facing harbor at all…but maybe because I have too much expectation for them. I had really good experience at the Shanghai Shanghai-La. Not sure if this is common Hong Kong service style, 5 star hotel reception staffs give attitude during check in and check out. I need to do early check out and there’s no one in the lobby, ZERO, I’ve only seen this situation in Australia where we’re staying in the middle of nowhere. But This is Hong Kong! I have to call the front desk while I’m literally at the front desk! And the lady came out like somebody just punched her in the face... anyway the only nice thing I can say about this hotel is that the room is newly renovated, gorgeous interior design. Love the modern Chinese decoration but service sucks, just hope this is not discrimination that I’ve heard a lot before…

Island Shangri-la has great access to public transportation if you want to explorer Hong Kong. They are located by 2 malls so shopping and dining isn’t an issue. Summer Place was great and has a Michelin Star to prove it. Sarah Wong was wonderful when there was an issue with the blinds. She helped us move to a different room. I highly recommend Island Shangri-La

Everything about this hotel is great! The staff is professional and friendly, the room with the harbor view is gorgeous, the buffet breakfast is excellent! Definitely will recommend to anyone who want to visit Hong Kong!

Excellent service. Great location. The rooms seem slightly tired and old fashioned. The breakfast selection was top-tier but there was little elegance. It was crowded and the seating arrangements didn't offer privacy. It was Sunday morning so it may have been overrun by weekenders.

I was so expressed with every aspect of my stay at Island Shangri-La. First, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Sam at the front desk gave me a smooth check-in, which was particularly appreciated after a very long flight to Hong Kong. Tom at the bells desk offered great advice from where to get some yummy dim sum to where to get a men's haircut close by. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The shower amenities were great. The hotel has some nice restaurants too if you need a bite. The location is excellent, as it's connected to the Pacific Place mall that has lots of great shops and eateries. I would definitely, without hesitation, stay here again the next time I come to Hong Kong.
