Crown Motel

Waited at Window for about 15 min before anyone showed up...this is after pushing the call button, tapping on window, and calling the property, all from the window. TV didn't work, only static... Pool closed apparently forever?

Booking said pool was available but when I arrived it was closed

CONs-We Pre-Booked ahead of time. It was 115 degrees and NO use of the Pool is available...NO welcome drink- as advertised! Office was Not willing to discount the room! We Came in, from San Diego & it was a Complete waste of my family's time! PROs-Places to eat are close by..Church's Chicken, Del Taco, McDonald's and Chinese food!

Staff is always friendly. Rooms are clean and pool is clean even though I don’t use it while I’m there others do.

The check-in was great. The owner was courteous and gracious. He gave us a room close to the office, which we appreciate. The room was in decent condition. It was clean and worked for us for one night. We felt very safe at the hotel and in the area. If I were a single female, that would make me feel very comfortable. The bed has seen better days. One side of the bed was OK. The other side of the bed was lumpy and had sagging spots. My husband woke up with a sore back. The mattress definitely needs to be replaced. We were sad to hear that the homeless population made them shut down their pool, and their complementary breakfast. The homeless population was coming in for a free breakfast, and then going in the pool to take a bath. And the police could do nothing about it. Very sad. The hotel had no other option other than shut it down. Would I stay here again? Absolutely.

Disappointed that the pool was closed and not notified

Was a good location. Close to many convenient places and the bed was comfortable. The place was clean and seemed safe. Negative would have been that some homeless had taken over the pool and it was closed, but there never seemed to be a threat or anything. Overall and for an inexpensive price, we were very pleased with the space, cleanliness and comfort. Also staff and owners or managers were very friendly

It was okay for a night. Several stores in walking distance. The lobby is closed and there's no breakfast.

Terrible. Room not cleaned. Hair, old bars of soap, and piss all over the toilet and floor. Bed was comfortable though.

Room 101 seemed clean but once I brung food that was purchased out to eat for myself an husband began to eat an there was a roach crawling on the night stand an a few more that came from behind the headboard an began crawling the wall I immediately went to the office an told the manager on duty the issue he didn’t deny the issue he simply offered a refund for the night that I as a guest had paid to stay at this location

Room was clean, in good repair, and reasonably priced.staff were pleasant and available. Property felt safe.

Third time was not great. Very noisy guests, honking early hours of morning, and tailgating (bbq the back of their truck) and when I left had bumps on my arm obviously bed bugs

Clean and safe Convenient. Noticed some wear and use and a few missing items that would have been nice to have had, but bed was comfortable and happy with our stay.

I would not stay here again to save afew bucks not worth it. Old outdated tv static screen with like 6 channels. The mattress was that memory foam so I didn't like that at all. No coffee or anything in front office. Walls super thin and you can hear everything next door and the foot steps above you if your in the first floor.

Very nice room, and very comfortable bed. I will definitely stay there next time I am in El Centro. And it's the little things...like USB port on updated bedside light, ironing board and iron in room, and the bed almost felt like memory foam, fridge and microwave nice touch. Very nice, thank you!

Crown Motel is a pretty average place to stay. It’s nothing fancy, but it gets the job done if you’re just looking for somewhere affordable. The rooms are basic and could use a little updating, but they’re clean enough for a short stay. The location is convenient, and the price is definitely one of the better things about it. Overall, it’s not the best motel out there, but if you’re on a budget and need something simple, it works.Big heads up before check in request staff to turn AC on, it does take a while to freshen up but once up room is nice and cool

Very courteous stuff, my only negative is that the room and its decor are very dated.

The room was very spacious however it took a while for the room to cool down in order for it to be comfortable.

The staff went out of their wy to accommodate me. They switched my upstairs room to downstairs. The tv wasn't working, a new one was brought in. The soundproof room was perfect. My only concern was the ceiling above the shower needed a touchup after what appeared to be an old leak.

The AC was loud and the hot water was not ready hot.

The overall stay was ok. Room was clean no frills. The only thing was that it was 115 degrees out that day and the room was really hot due to AC being off all day until we checked in at night, it really took all night for the room to get to an ok temperature. Other than that everything was clean, remodeled, good.

The tv did not work the whole time and they did not want to give a discount because the tv did not work I usually have a great stay when I go there and I do go often but the new people at the office was not even willing to come and look at the tv to see what the problem was.

I was a women traveling alone and a man came into my room unannounced! The door was closed but there is no second safety lock like how there usually is on motel/hotel rooms. When i told the receptionist she didn’t believe me and i checked out immediately which was earlier than intended and left. I filed a police report and I requested a refund through expedia. Whoever talked to the expedia agent on the phone LIED and said i stayed both nights and checked out on the day I should’ve, which i didn’t!! They also said the man that came in was an “electrician” who was coming to fix my tv. I never requested any help and even if it was an electrician that worked at the motel they should have most definitely knocked first and introduced themselves! This man also had no tools, uniform, or name tag. I was alone in the room on the bed when he came in, he was approaching me and when he realized i had pepper spray he put his hands up and ran out! It is honestly so disgusting that something this unsafe happens and the receptionist didn’t even believe me, apologize, or ask if i was okay. No accountability or empathy from the receptionist. I never leave bad reviews but in this situation i felt i had to do that other women or people who have kids know that this motel isn’t safe!! There were multiple men just hanging around and looking at me and that was only in the one day that i stayed. Any of them could’ve easily tried the same thing that the man who went into my room did.

Beware of booking online with this guy. He WILL take advantage of you however he possibly can- double charge; place you in a room with mold churning through the A/C knowing you have an allergy/intolerance for that; he is not a man of his word, he will steal your money and commit fraud to do it. Doesn't matter how careful you are hes all about leaching every penny he can out of you, even if you request a particular room he will tell you it's available one min and 2 minutes later tell you its rented as he laughs and says "its nonrefundable." The young man that is there some mornings is great and i found his wife to be kind and helpful.

Waited over 25 minutes for the night front desk, and no one showed up. Rang bell several times. No one helped at front desk. In addition, I got charged for my room, even though I never checked in. The night staff never helped. No one came to check me in. The wait was ridiculous!!! Left. Got tired of waiting.

for the price, can't be beat. the manager was friendly, kind and informative - gladly shared recommendations as to things to do in the area.

The check-in process was quick and easy. The room was spacious and clean. And there was plenty of parking.

Check in was easy. The gentleman at the front desk was very polite and accommodating for my special request for downstairs room, handicapped. Even offered to give me a room with access to a walkin shower.

We didn't get the room that we booked on line. When we told them about it they didnt like it, they gave us a new room but the ac unit wasn't working. They told us straight out, if you donlike it leave

We spent two nights at the Crown Motel. The day before my hernia surgery and the night after the surgery. We choose the Crown Motel they always try accomodate our needs. This time it included accomodating my needs to have a 1st floor room and parking right in fron of the room so I could enter without the need to walk far from the room. We choose the Crown Motel for it location near Costco,Smart and Final, Vons and others. The rooms are always exceptionally quiet and provide a refrigerator for storing our food purchases. The owners are always very friendy and helpful.

The Crown Motel is the place we stay whenever our travels bring us to El Centro, Ca. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The motel is centrally located for shopping at Costco, Smart and Final and Lowes. Despite being on a Main Street it is quiet.

I stayed there for the last few days of Winter Training, and the air show. It met my need for a room to sleep and shower. It's walking distance to Wingstop, Burgers and Beer, and other food places. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the shower leaked in my room. I forgot to mention that when I checked out. Overall, it was great for the price!

I found out upon check-in that the pool was closed, which was a major disappointment as I drove 17hrs that day and was looking forward to a relaxing and refreshing float. I was disrupted around 10pm by a family that was trying to enter my room, evidently they were told the wrong room number when they checked in. I was disturbed a second time at 7am by the housekeeper. I understand they like to get their day started, but I was not. At 8am I went down to get coffee…disappointment struck again when the lobby was locked with no coffee in sight. Good thing Starbucks is close. I will say that the mattress was comfortable and the A/C worked well, so that’s a plus.

The receptionist was very friendly and check in was a breeze. The amenities however, couldn't be more basic. 2 little bars of soap and although clean, there was only 1 bath towel for 2 people. There were several hand towels though. There's no coffee in the room. Very basic but clean.
