We were disappointed that the hot tub was closed. Someone had broke glass in it the day before. That was the main reason we had made reservations there was because it had a hot tub. We understand the safety aspect but was really looking for to relaxing. Everything else was great.

The property is located right off the highway which made it convenient. It has a wonderful small lake right behind where we could walk the dogs. Staff is friendly. The problem is the first floor has large construction ongoing. This was not mentioned to us as we booked. It also did not have the indoor pool or exercise room availabe the entire time.

I didn't like that the room I was initially put in was incorrect, Expedia blamed hotel and hotel blamed Expedia, and was told by hotel that there was nothing they could do because 3rd party made the reservation. I was unable to get in contact with the hotel manager during my entire stay. On the second day of my stay I had to contact IGH directly. IGH helped get the room corrected to a room with the jetted tub but the jetted tub was not functional due to an electrical issue. The hot tub in the pool area was not functioning properly either and was colder than the pool. There was trash on the second floor hallway the first night and rather than disposing of it I found it moved to the bottom of the staircase where it still was just left out and not disposed of. I went to get a snack from the hotel pantry at one point and all of the block and barrel chips they had were past their sell by date. The staff there had tried to be accommodating as they could, but it was moot because of the complete absence of the hotel manager.

Reserved a king suite with a fireplace and a jetted tub for my family to celebrate Mother's Day. Upon arrival we were immediately downgraded to a queen suite with a fireplace that did not work and a bathtub with no jets-- which my wife said she would be fine with, so I did not make a fuss about it. My kids wanted to do swimming so we did on both days, but there were no towels anywhere in the swimming area at any time during our stay, and we were forced to bring towels down from our hotel room; also the hot tub was cold. Breakfast was average, the smallish food bar was overcrowded, and at times there was a 10-minute wait to use the waffle machine.

I stay in West Des Moines frequently with my family. I prefer to have a full kitchen for convenience with my kids. The staff here were so friendly and by far the best experience we've had compared to other hotels. This would be 5 stars across the board with the exception of our room was quite dated and needed many updates (broken tiles in bathtub surround, ceiling was just bad and needed to be scraped and redone, patching on the walls and the kitchen was in need of an update) I was a little disappointed that our room did not have the little bar with seating, but we made it work. We had a suite with 2 queen beds. Breakfast was good, staff was excellent. It was very clean. A few updates to this hotel and it will be my first choice! -Also, They are in the process of renovating the lobby and hot tub. Pool was open, but also needed a bit of work.

We were only here for one night, but our stay was great. We slept well, and we appreciated the 24-hour hot tub because we got in later in the evening. Every staff member we encountered was cheerful, friendly, and helpful. This will be our go-to hotel whenever we are in the Des Moines area!

One of the nicest places my wife and i have ever stayed so far as hotels go! Very spacious suite with full sized refrigerator, microvave, toaster, coffee maker, stove top, pots and pans, silverware, cups and plates, and even a disher and a fireplace in the room. The pool, hottub, weight room, and laundry room are open 24/7. (Laundry is not even coin operated.) The breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly and helpful. The parking lot is s bit congested is the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars for it. Over all I would highly recommend this hotel. Well worthe the money!! And over all 5 *****!!

Very friendly staff and nice big clean rooms. We are traveling with two young kids and a large dog. We were all very comfortable and happy as this hotel. We already booked our stay there on our trip home. It is an older hotel but again clean rooms. Also, since older I believe it helped with noise. Never heard anyone else the whole time.

Picture of room I reserved and paid for was not room they had for me. Was told “booked with third party so technically third party was supposed to change the room”. Manager did change the room. Lengthy check in. Room was great! Beds and pillows great! Clean! We enjoyed our stay and will stay here again.

The hotel in general was very nice with large sized room and good breakfast. Unfortunately there were a couple families there with out of control little kids under 5, unsupervised, screaming and running up and down the hallways throwing things at our doors- this went on for a couple hours and after 10pm. I reported it to the front desk thinking they would address it, but it contined on. This situation was one of the worst experiences in a hotel, where it was uncomfotable in our room and down in the breakfast area with kids running wild. I would not stay in a hotel like this again if front desk are not willing to address disturbances that impact over half of your hotel guests.

Unfortunately there was a traveling little league team staying there. Kids were running up and down the halls. Playing catch in the halls and having a blast in the pool. There was pool water everywhere including the elevator. I don't blame the kids, they did quite down around 10:00pm.

The Staybridge is at the very beginning of a much needed and long overdue renovation process. The rooms are in dire need with thin walls, carpet stains, ceiling patches, and old furnishings. I would have left and gone elsewhere if I could. I paid $190 for 1 night and I feel robbed. My recommendation is to stay elsewhere.

I didn't like that the room I was initially put in was incorrect, Expedia blamed hotel and hotel blamed Expedia, and was told by hotel that there was nothing they could do because 3rd party made the reservation. I was unable to get in contact with the hotel manager during my entire stay. On the second day of my stay I had to contact IGH directly. IGH helped get the room corrected to a room with the jetted tub but the jetted tub was not functional due to an electrical issue. The hot tub in the pool area was not functioning properly either and was colder than the pool. There was trash on the second floor hallway the first night and rather than disposing of it I found it moved to the bottom of the staircase where it still was just left out and not disposed of. I went to get a snack from the hotel pantry at one point and all of the block and barrel chips they had were past their sell by date. The staff there had tried to be accommodating as they could, but it was moot because of the complete absence of the hotel manager.

Picture of room I reserved and paid for was not room they had for me. Was told “booked with third party so technically third party was supposed to change the room”. Manager did change the room. Lengthy check in. Room was great! Beds and pillows great! Clean! We enjoyed our stay and will stay here again.

The hotel in general was very nice with large sized room and good breakfast. Unfortunately there were a couple families there with out of control little kids under 5, unsupervised, screaming and running up and down the hallways throwing things at our doors- this went on for a couple hours and after 10pm. I reported it to the front desk thinking they would address it, but it contined on. This situation was one of the worst experiences in a hotel, where it was uncomfotable in our room and down in the breakfast area with kids running wild. I would not stay in a hotel like this again if front desk are not willing to address disturbances that impact over half of your hotel guests.

We were only here for one night, but our stay was great. We slept well, and we appreciated the 24-hour hot tub because we got in later in the evening. Every staff member we encountered was cheerful, friendly, and helpful. This will be our go-to hotel whenever we are in the Des Moines area!

The property is located right off the highway which made it convenient. It has a wonderful small lake right behind where we could walk the dogs. Staff is friendly. The problem is the first floor has large construction ongoing. This was not mentioned to us as we booked. It also did not have the indoor pool or exercise room availabe the entire time.

Reserved a king suite with a fireplace and a jetted tub for my family to celebrate Mother's Day. Upon arrival we were immediately downgraded to a queen suite with a fireplace that did not work and a bathtub with no jets-- which my wife said she would be fine with, so I did not make a fuss about it. My kids wanted to do swimming so we did on both days, but there were no towels anywhere in the swimming area at any time during our stay, and we were forced to bring towels down from our hotel room; also the hot tub was cold. Breakfast was average, the smallish food bar was overcrowded, and at times there was a 10-minute wait to use the waffle machine.

I stay in West Des Moines frequently with my family. I prefer to have a full kitchen for convenience with my kids. The staff here were so friendly and by far the best experience we've had compared to other hotels. This would be 5 stars across the board with the exception of our room was quite dated and needed many updates (broken tiles in bathtub surround, ceiling was just bad and needed to be scraped and redone, patching on the walls and the kitchen was in need of an update) I was a little disappointed that our room did not have the little bar with seating, but we made it work. We had a suite with 2 queen beds. Breakfast was good, staff was excellent. It was very clean. A few updates to this hotel and it will be my first choice! -Also, They are in the process of renovating the lobby and hot tub. Pool was open, but also needed a bit of work.

One of the nicest places my wife and i have ever stayed so far as hotels go! Very spacious suite with full sized refrigerator, microvave, toaster, coffee maker, stove top, pots and pans, silverware, cups and plates, and even a disher and a fireplace in the room. The pool, hottub, weight room, and laundry room are open 24/7. (Laundry is not even coin operated.) The breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly and helpful.
