As a solo traveller, i felt safe both in and outside the hotel. Definately lives up to its 5* status. Lovely room with beautiful views, and leisure facilities. Food was good and singer's entertained us in the evenings. 131 steps down from hotel to harbour level but buggy ride available if too strenous. Lots of areas with sun loungers, including a discreet nudist area if you don't want those tan lines :-). A short walk to restaurants, a supermarket, ATMs and the bus station. Very beautiful and sceenic part of Croatia and i was happy that i stayed in Cavtat, away from the hoards of tourists in Dubrovnic. All in all a wonderful stay and i would highlty recommend.

This hotel has everything you could think of. Beautiful surroundings. Nice walk into town, nice dining options, great breakfast. Spacious rooms. Nice pool both indoor and outdoor. Private lounge areas, two different beaches. Ability to rent boats, ferry’s into Dubrovnik. A beautiful area in a quaint town of cavtat which is an absolute gem!

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Croatia. The location is uphill but offers breathtaking views, and there are buggies to take you to Cavtat. The coastal walk around the hotel is beautiful but hilly — bring comfy shoes! Staff were friendly and helpful; housekeeping even remembered a request I’d made earlier, which was a nice touch. The room was clean and a good size. While not quite 5-star by international standards, it was comfortable overall. The bed and pillows were a bit firm, but fine for a short stay. Watch out for minibar charges. We weren’t told that snacks outside the minibar were chargeable. One opened item was correctly billed, but another we never touched appeared on our bill twice. Reception removed it, but it re-appeared at checkout. Also, housekeeping knocked several times to leave chocolates — kind, but a bit disruptive. Breakfast had plenty of choice, though the coffee and tea were bland. Dinner (€20 for three courses) was good value, and Cavtat town nearby is perfect for lunch. The gym was excellent and clean; the indoor pool was cold despite being advertised as heated. Overall, the hotel is clean, well-located, and has great amenities. Cavtat is a peaceful gem compared to busy Dubrovnik. I’d stay again if the price was right, just double-check minibar charges

Clean Room: but you need to ask for a refill in the bar, like tea. Our room air conditioning did not work, so we just open the door in the balcony. I didn’t like staff going to our room without informing us apart from room make up. Corridor carpet very clean and not smelly. The lobby scent was so lovely!!!! Buffet: we have the half board which was an excellent decision I made…food was delicious and lots of choices, menu is different everyday. Although outside the hotel have lots of restaurants. Buggy service daily going up and down the hotel was fantastic! It’s like riding on a roller coaster for some drivers:) Staff:Excellent service and friendly. Special mention to certain staffs: Rockey, Ross,Ruel, Michael, John for going and beyond. Balcony:Thank you for giving us the balcony room overlooking the sunset. Amazing view Outdoor pool: it was closed Indoor pool: heated pool was great. Spa-didn’t go. Location: Perfect. very close to the airport and 5 mins walk to bus station. Very accessible to Dubrovnik sea transportation as well. 4 star hotel rating.But So so beautiful sea views. I definitely would recommend this hotel. I will definitely come back, hopefully with my kids.

We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful surroundings of Cavtat. Much nicer than Dubrovnik. Lots of walking up and down steps, as the buggy was not often available. Hard if you struggle with mobility. The gym could do with some updates. Overall, however, great hotel, lovely staff, good food. Decent rooms. Beautiful sea. We enjoyed our time and would definitely recommend Hotel Croatia!

Great hotel and professional and polite reception staff. Great room, modern and clean.Major complaint is situation at the nudist beach, which is by the way lovely. Beach is overwhelmed by rude and arrogant hotel guest wearing swimsuits, taking photos and doing video calls on the beach. Several times hotel security had to called ( few times he even didn’t show up) and complain was made to hotel management. We’ve been promised staff from Sirocco beach bar would monitor situation but they couldn’t be bothered as they preferred to stay in bar’s air conditioned office. Everybody on the beach was complaining and we thought this problem would be solved but nothing changed. After talking to other people who’s been there before, we found out this is ongoing problem for the last few years. It’s shame as we would love to come back but as it is it’s more stressful than relaxed holiday.One day our friend asked life guard why there is red flag on the beach ( for duration of our 10 days stay)as the weather and the sea was calm to which he replied- I can’t be here so I’m not responsible if anything happens. What a shame and behaviour not acceptable from the 5* hotel.

It was our first time visiting Cavtat and Hotel Croatia, the hotel is really quite large but it doesn’t feel overcrowded. We had a sea view room on the 4th floor which offered amazing views of the Adriatic, the views on the other side of the hotel face the beautiful bay of Cavtat. Staff were quick and efficient, we were able to access our room early. The pools are both lovely (outdoor one a little chilly in October but I still enjoyed it!) and the spa treatments good value. Breakfast was plentiful and had many options. The hill is quite steep but golf buggies will transport you up and down to the town if you wish. Bed very comfortable and room a good size with good quality shower and hair products in the bathrooms, so no need to overfill your case with conditioner! There seemed to be constantly someone cleaning somewhere, the whole town is very tidy. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Mold in the shower, sink didn't drain and they couldn't get out vehicle out of the driveway for over an hour as they hadn't taken residents car keys up on check in. Not sure how this place is rated 5 stars it's a two at best. The service at the outdoor bar and indoor bar was very attentive and friendly so kudos to those guys but overall a dissapointing stay.

This is one of the worst hotels we’ve ever stayed at. There was hair in our bathtub and on the counters when we arrived. One of the faucets sprayed water all over us and the other one was loose and about to fall off the sink. The furniture and walls were dirty and damaged. What a sad place.

The rooms were beautifully refurbished and we had an amazing sea view from the Superior room however certain elements we were a little disappointed with, there was zero chance to get a sunbed around the very small outside pool even less when people reserved the beds with towels and then left them. Our room was not cleaned every day and needed to request a visit from housekeeping in order to receive clean towels also the removal of room service crockery from the evening before, also the attitude of certain staff members predominantly the younger waiting on staff was poor by no means are we saying all were like this but the ones we came into contact with at mealtimes were quite rude

The location is amazing. The rooms are nice and modern. We never had housekeeping once in 4 days despite leaving the switch on for our room to be serviced and the noise from door slamming or chairs dragging was a bit annoying.The hotel is very clean and lots of space. The resort itself is a bit strange. Its nice but the lounge felt stark, the pool and sauna felt a bit like a leisure centre than a spa. Defo better for families then a couple. Food is better in the actual town which is a 5 min walk. Breakfast was OK. Typical Buffet. Not too much choice though. 3 star at most.

The hotel seemed to be old and not so clean. Floorcarpets were dirty for the most part which bothered me a lot. The interior was quite old. The hotel is very large so it requires a lot of walking in order to get in places. I saw a lot of broken sunbeds as well as broken stepper in a gym and broken showers. It was not a good experience for me.

The hotel and room were stunning, the only negative was that the room was unbearably hot. When we asked the staff to help as our air con wasn't working we were told that the supervisor had decided to turn off all of the air conditioning as it would be too cold in some rooms (it's easily controlled in the room). We requested a fan instead but they had run out as so many people had requested them so put us on a waiting list for one but we didn't receive one. We asked if the air con could be switched back on if so many people had complained that they had run out of fans but we're told the supervisor wouldn't be doing that. Other than that it really was a gorgeous hotel and stunning location.

Room was clean and comfortable but lot of noise from scraping of chairs and walking on the hard floor in the room above. Staff were very helpful, friendly and approachable. We had a small issue with our aircon which was sorted immediately. Indoor pool was ok but outdoor pool was too cold to get into. More signage around the hotel would have been useful. Breakfast was good but it wasn’t explained how it worked. We spent the first morning wandering around trying to find a table.

The hotel has stunning views! The room was big enough so we didn’t feel crowded and the washroom was big enough for the 2 of us to get ready at the same time. The cliff-side rock beach was beautiful, but as someone who was new to swimming in the sea, it was too intimidating. The beach on the bay side was much calmer and a great place to hang out. The beach doesn’t have sand or pebbles, it’s more like a swim platform with free loungers for hotel guests. There are stairs to enter the sea, which is much easier. You can’t touch the bottom so if you have kids that can’t swim, you’ll need flotation devices. There are lots of fish if you want to snorkel The buffet was delicious and provided a lot of food options, including eggs benedict. We also ate at the steakhouse on-site, which was delicious. It’s definitely a slower pace hotel, so if you’re looking for nightlife, you’re better off staying in a hotel in Lapad. We were here for the relaxation so it was perfect for our needs. We could take a water taxi, bus or a Uber/Bolt/taxi to get to Dubrovnik. We enjoyed our stay as it was me and my husband. If we had our teen boys, we would opt for a place in Lapad.

We stayed for one night at Hotel Croatia after traveling around Croatia because it was close to the airport in Dubrovnik. We enjoyed sitting at the pool for an afternoon and especially enjoyed walking down the hill into Cavtat to walk around and have dinner. The room was quite worn- stained carpet, bathroom hooks falling off, etc.). We were given a "sea-view" room but on the lowest floor with a rock garden outside the terrace. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The airport shuttle, although we appreciated being able to reserve it, was much more expensive than an Uber or taxi. All in all, it was fine for the purpose but we would probably not stay again.

Really couldn't fault the hotel on the whole. I was in one of the rooms that hadn't been refurbished yet but was still very good. I did notice a few areas on the outside of the building that was in need of repairs but again not too bad. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great Hotel. Beautiful location. We had a room in the refurbished part which was lovely, great views, very clean. Set in great location 5 mins walk to the harbour. Lively bars and restaurants. Only 1 thing....Croatia is now expensive 6 euros a beer. Spoke to staff they said they have been struggling as cost of living has gone through the roof since covid and joining the euro.

Lovely stay. Staff friendly. We were greeted by Marko who was very friendly and upgraded us to seaview room with balcony on arrival. It was my sons birthday and a lovely birthday cake was left in room for him 😃 quite a few steps up and down to town but were not too bad at all and you have choice of getting golf buggy up and down if you need to. Would definitely recommend.

Overall we were pleased with our stay in hotel Croatia. The grounds are beautiful, staff friendly and professional, and rooms very clean. A couple of opportunities for improvement would be a light at the entry point for parking or automatic vallet service....getting up/down the very narrow road when people are using it in both directions is challenging for parking and the problem could be easily solved by installing green/red light or having vallet parking that is easier to understand. Arrival was a little disorienting because of parking, too, as it wasn't clear where or even if we could leave our car in the entry round about while we checked in. Aside from the parking, the only other minor inconvenience is that the exterior doors lock when you leave and there isn't an electronic re-entry with room cards so be prepared if you go exploring to be walking for a while before you can find a door that will allow re-entry.

Liked that it was clean and very safe. It was about a 30 min drive from Dubrovnik. The one issue we had on the last day was that housekeeping walked into our room without any knock or notice. The spa was very nice. The steakhouse was very good and a reasonable price.

Every time we come to Croatia we plan a stay at Hotel Croatia. It’s such a beautiful hotel and the receptionists at check in are professional, super friendly and helpful with any questions. I love the complimentary shuttle to the nearby village as well which sits on the water but the restaurants and bars in the hotel are outstanding as well and can’t be missed. I can’t wait to come back again and enjoy the sweeping ocean views from the balcony. I give this hotel and staff a ten out of 10.

This hotel located at Cavtat, town 30 mins approx from Dubrovnik , was nice.Breakfast was lovely but our room wasnt cleaned daily and in 2 occassions we had to ask for towels .The Hotel taxi will charge €39 to take you to the airport but if you ask the hotel staff to arrange a taxi it will cost €15.

Nice location on the hill. Note the stairs to go down to the sea. They call it the beach but its rocks. They have transportation to the beach but not to the city center. Breakfast ok.

Absolutely Stunning location with breathtaking views. The indoor pool and spa facilities are amazing and the staff are super friendly. The rooms are clean, refreshing and peaceful. The location is perfect, quiet but within walking distance (or you can grab a free buggy ride) to Cavtat centre. From there you can jump on a water taxi to Dubrovnik or catch a bus. At night the Piano bar is enigmatic. It’s been a very restful stay!

Could not have picked a better place to stay. Chose Cavtat over Dubrovnik and so glad we did. The hotel was amazing. It was so expansive we got lost the first day trying to find the restaurant. Our room was to die for - the most stunning views over the Adriatic and the rocky coastline. A balcony to enjoy sundowners. Breakfast was amazing - something for everyone. Loved the little golf cart transport down to the old town - so convenient.

The hotel has the most amazing sea views and access to Cavtat and the stunning views of the port and marina etc. the hotel is clean and rooms are clean and comfy. Our only complaint is the food! For a five star hotel it’s just not up to scratch. Quality of it and most importantly it was always cold! Breakfast buffet every bit of food was cold even though under the heaters and we sometimes were down early to eat and same can be said for the evening meals they were colder. We had half board and only ate there once because of it. Not ideal when you have paid for it and Croatia and eating out is super expensive anyway. They really need to take this feedback on board and make improvements .

Super hotel - this is what they used to be like 25 years ago before corporate chains sanitised them. Lovely staff throughout all areas. Dining room is busy but staff lay your table and attend to you straight on arrival and also clear really promptly, so it always looks smart. Big selection of food for breakfast and dinner, we enjoyed all meals. There is a sunset terrace near the Piano Bar for spectacular evening photos over the Adriatic. Clifftop coastal path from the children's playground will take you the (long) way down to picturesque Cavtat harbour passing 20th century defence bukers on the way. Balconies are quite small but the sea views are teriffic. All areas spotlessly clean. October visit, the outdoor pool was freezing! Drinks are a bit pricey but not much different from the prices in town. 45 minute bus ride into Dubrovnik costs 4 euros, but make sure you get off when the driver says 'city' or you will end up at the cruise terminal miles from anywhere.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. I wish we had stayed more than one night! The rooms are clean and updated and have all amenities you’d expect. The robes and slippers were a nice touch! The sunset view from our room was absolutely amazing. We had dinner at the steakhouse and the food and service were both good. The breakfast buffet also has a really nice selection and real brewed coffee, which was a nice change from our other accommodations. I highly recommend this hotel! One of the best we’ve stayed at in Europe!

The view was amazing. The staff was great. The cleanliness was excellent. The buffet and food left a lot to be desired and it is difficult to get up and down from the beaches.

Our super refurbished room was very comfortable, clean and modern on floor 6 overlooking the sea. The sunsets were stunning from our balcony. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Fantastic indoor and outdoor pool areas. Breakfast very good with plentiful choice. Coffee unfortunately was strong and bitter, we found unpleasant! Dinner choice and variety was ok but not 5 star. the desserts in particular were tasteless We were pleased we stayed here as we had a very good stay overall.

The Great. This property is in Cavtat a 30 minute distance by car from Dubrovnik. It is a beautiful town, quite and nice. The property is gigantic, with rooms that are remodeled as you can see in the photos. It has access to the sea (both sides) which is great and beautiful. The good. The food (breakfast has a huge selection of things to try Gluten and dairy free), the sauna and steam room are in good conditions. The BAD. The personnel were not friendly or caring at all. You have to ask for fresh coffee otherwise they will serve you coffee already made, the lobby is so wide and empty, the same with getting access to the pool, it is kind of weird.
