Hotel convenient for ferry terminal. Parking available but underground. You go down in a car elevator but going up is via a circular road which is very very tight. We have a large suv and it was horrendous to ger out. The room had peeling wallpaper but for an overnight stop was fine.

We enjoyed our stay, especially the great view from our room. The parking space we were assigned was too tight for our vehicle, a Fiat 600, which isn’t very large.Consequently, we paid a little more to park in a public spot very close to the hotel. We learned that it is important to reserve parking when you make your reservation to potentially get a better spot.

Mostly it was good. Parking facilities were a disappointment because we couldn’t use them. Our small car was towing a small trailer, and this was enough to prevent us using the hotel car park. We had to park 450m away and pay 28.50 euros.

Nice hotel and good location. English only spoken by front desk staff. Bar does not serve cocktails even though they have liquor as staff has no idea how to make them. Only wine and beer.

My second stay at Hotel Bahía. This is perhaps the most prominent hotel in Santander and, with so many floors and a very prominent sign at the top, is very easy to find. In being right in the city centre, near the train and bus stations and just across the road from the ferry port, it is perhaps the most convenient hotel too. The public spaces and the rooms are immaculate and my room on both occasions was the most spacious hotel room I've ever stayed in. Probably because I stayed off-peak, I felt like I was getting excellent value for money. Customer service was friendly and efficient. Even one of the busy cleaning staff thanked me for staying and wished me well as they saw me exit my room with my luggage at the end of my stay. Apart from this being a superb hotel, Santander is a beautiful and safe city with plenty to see and do and with good transport links.

Beautiful hotel which I think is the best in the area. My room was upgraded and I got given a room with a lovely view of the nearby church. The room was big and clean, as was the bathroom (one of the biggest I’ve seen in Europe). Convenient location to bus station and to all the bus stops which made getting around and going to nearby cities very easy. On site cafe and restaurant was very popular and I saw it full of locals constantly which is always a good sign. All staff were friendly and you are welcomed as soon as you step into the lobby.

The hotel is situated in good area right in the heart of santander..the room is large with plenty of space..now the negatives The walls of the room are paper thin you can hear everything next door.when other people are using the showers their is a strong smell of the drains in the bathroom.the hotel states the windows are soundproof well they are definitely not..

The location of this property was amazing. Close to the sea, shops and restaurants. Area could not be better. However, my room was extremely tired and crying out for a re-fit. Very dated, loose tiles in the bathroom, wallpaper peeling off the wall, ancient air-con control, lightbulbs flickering randomly... There was also no coffee machine, no kettle, no mugs or cutlery, no drinks in the mini-bar/fridge (except for water), no slippers etc etc. Definitely the first 4 start hotel I've ever stayed in with no drinks facility. Very odd.

Suite was really spacious very clean great views, lots of products supplied in bathroom, coffee machine. Decor was a bit bare, needed some more furniture, rugs, art etc. hotel is nice but quite anonymous, staff are not overly friendly, service in the hotel bar was poor, I tried and failed to order a drink, waiters ignored me so I got up and left after 15 mins of trying to get their attention. Location is excellent in the heart of the city.

Very very bad. The staff was rude. When we came back from diner at 01:30 the front door was locked and we haf to wait for 10 minutes until we were able to wake up the night shift receptionist. Rooms very old, dirty carpet, small bed, beauty products in the bathroom ridiculously bad quality. The inefficient AC just made noise and didn’t cool the room. We’ve moved to another hotel for our second night in Santander.

Such negative experience overall that it is an embarrassment this hotel runs in such a beautiful location and in a singular architectural building. Reception “teaching” you how to read from the rudest manner to night clerk sleeping for 15 minutes before he could finally wake up and it was not even 1am yet. No guidance for after midnite door policy, bell not working , traffic signage leads to to wrong direction etc. The GM doesn’t care apparently and the team becomes kingdoms to whom guests are minions. We had one more night at Santander but we checked out and went to another hotel! It was that bad!!! (Even the sink had hair in it)

First, but certainly not las time that we've stayed at the Hotel Bahía. Very good food at breakfast, the restaurant, and the bar, and a very high level of excellent service and courtesy. I highly recommend the Hotel Bahía!

Reception staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Room was spacious and clean, with a lovely view. Secure underground garage was perfect for our two motorcycles, so no worries about security.

The attentiveness of the front desk staff was outstanding and we were very happy with Maria. The bell captain, Manuel, was right there for everything that we needed. The morning breakfast was exceptional and the staff that was very friendly and helpful.

If you want to disembark from a train bus or ferry and walk less than 10 minutes to your hotel in Santander then Hotel Bahia is the one for you with convenient access to all three though some distance from the Sardinero beach area

A really quite grand hotel, with friendly, professional staff, in a fantastic location. The parking garage is a big help in Santander, and was priced fairly. Breakfast was great and had a huge amount of variety. Great views from the higher floors, over the city and the port.

We always stay here before our return on the ferry to Plymouth. The hotel is in a great location, only five minutes from the ferry port and close to the city centre shops and restaurants and opposite the seafront. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast is very good, except for the hot food which is pretty bad. However there’s loads of choice on the continental food. The staff are friendly and speak excellent English. We always use the hotel underground car park which you have to prebook, so the car is very safe. An excellent choice.
