The property's beachfront location is excellent, and the units are spacious. Mine had a stunning water view. However, they don't make your room, unless you ask for it, and at the time I came back to the hotel was too late to ask for it. The outdoor area is pleasant but requires some maintenance. Parking is ample across the street. The front desk staff, particularly Rita, were very friendly. The on-site restaurant is a convenient amenity, although the service was slow and prices were steep. Despite some issues, I'd still consider returning to the hotel.

What a wonderful place to hangout for 4 nights while my son recovered from a double ear infection before we could fly home. The mini villas were cool and comfortable. The pool and breach area are quaint and the water is exceptional. It was nice to have the restaurant Splash onsite but I could also make mini meals in our villa. The staff is helpful and friendly. This is on our list to return on another trip to Exuma.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hideaways. The staff were very helpful and friendly. If you don’t feel like going anywhere else there is a nice beach and restaurant right on the property. Hideaways is also fairly centrally located on the island of Exuma so if you want to go exploring it’s easy to do so in either direction. We had an island view room which was very spacious and quiet but they have beach bungalows that I want to stay in on our next visit. Can’t wait to go back!!

We can't say enough good things about our stay at Hideaways! I was concerned that I picked the right island, and the right resort for our first time in the Caribbean. If we had to do it all over again, we would gladly pick Hideaways in Exuma for sure. We loved the free shuttle into town, the two great beaches within walking distance, the pool, onsite restaurant, along with others within walking distance. The staff is so welcoming, and helpful. There are so many other perks like free kayaks, swim fins beach towels... We love to snorkel, and the beach right in front the resort has a row of huge rocks that the fish and turtles love. Gorgeous!!!

It’s on Exuma - that’s a start. Property itself is showing wear and tear. Equipment like kayaks, paddle boats, and stand up boards don’t seem to be maintained. It’s a beautiful location!

Es wird nur auf Anfrage das Zimmer gereinigt - der Umwelt zuliebe. Aber wenn man 4 oder 3 tage vor Abreise steht, dann wird die Anfrage einfach ignoriert. Auf Nachfrage wird einem dann mitgeteilt, dass die Zimmer von Gästen, die in den nächsten Tagen abreisen meist nicht mehr gereinigt werden.

the property is good , comfy bed , kitchen with appliances , bathroom etc is ok , my only complaint was the floor was sandy , it needed a good mopping , might have been from the last guest , other than that no other issues .

The location is great, the reception staff is outstanding, but the kitchen staff needs to be re-trained about time conscious customer service, good manners, and empathy, it is unacceptable that the food takes 1,5 hours to be served. The hotels.com advertising is misleading, the hotel is divided in two zones: one by the beach and the other one on the other side of the main street, we were placed on the other side of course in a room where is almost impossible to rest, the floor is wooden made and you can hear every step the neighbors take. The hot water on the shower is non-existent. On the 2nd day we didn't leave the place because all hotels were full. We spent 5 nights, and they never serviced nor cleaned the room. We understand the island related constraints for business but for the price they are charging many things could be way better or at least improved. On the other hand Exhumas Island is a paradise, plenty of beaches and places to go and explore. We definitively are going back but not to this hotel.

My email stated I’d pay 81.00 upon arrival at the hotel but I had to pay 118.00 or couldn’t check in. Although it’s not a huge difference, I want my 37.00 refunded to me. The hotel was nice but very dated. The furniture needs serious updating, also, there were no clear channels on the television. All were very fuzzy.

I visited Hideaway a few years ago and loved it, I stayed in a room looking over the ocean and couldn’t wait to come back. However, this time we were taken to our room which was across the road and up the hill.. it didn’t even look like part of the hotel. When I asked if I could be in a room near the rest of the hotel (we didn’t even need see views) I was told it would be an extra $100/ night. We later spoke to some other guests who were staying in an ocean view room and they told us there were paying $40 more than us a night. Our room was tiny and my partner got electrocuted when plugging the kettle in, the kettle didn’t work. We stayed for two nights and on the first we were woken by a man banging on our door at 1.20am, I believe he was hotel staff and when I opened the door he said oh wrong room and walked off, when I mentioned this at the front desk the following day they just laughed.. it is safe to say I was very disappointed with my stay. Which is a huge shame because I have recommended this hotel to many people but sadly no longer will. Finally, the hotel was very quiet, there were very few guests staying which means several of the on site rooms would have been available and as far as we could see we were the only guests staying across the road far from everyone else.

The cottages are clean and have basic furniture and the ability to make coffee or tea in the morning or whenever with a fridge. The walls are a bit thin, so if you have a nextdoor neighbor you may hear them. The front desk is helpful in making reservations and pleasant. The free shuttle is a great feature, but schedule could be improved with additional departure times in the morning (currently only 9am and 11am). If you want to have breakfast in Georgetown and go to another activity it may be a bit difficult, however you can usually find a taxi ro take you. It was nice to have breakfast at Splash included, it was basic, but good, more fruits would be nice. The beach is fine, but it disappears at high tide.

I would definitely stay here again. Check in was easy, and they held our bags for us when we arrived early. They supply many fun outdoor activities free and The view and Beach is spectacular. A fun bar/restaurant with great food, but only one food option keepin mind…this place is on an island in the Bahamas… needs updating in areas.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hideaways. The staff were very helpful and friendly. If you don’t feel like going anywhere else there is a nice beach and restaurant right on the property. Hideaways is also fairly centrally located on the island of Exuma so if you want to go exploring it’s easy to do so in either direction. We had an island view room which was very spacious and quiet but they have beach bungalows that I want to stay in on our next visit. Can’t wait to go back!!

The location is great, the reception staff is outstanding, but the kitchen staff needs to be re-trained about time conscious customer service, good manners, and empathy, it is unacceptable that the food takes 1,5 hours to be served. The hotels.com advertising is misleading, the hotel is divided in two zones: one by the beach and the other one on the other side of the main street, we were placed on the other side of course in a room where is almost impossible to rest, the floor is wooden made and you can hear every step the neighbors take. The hot water on the shower is non-existent. On the 2nd day we didn't leave the place because all hotels were full. We spent 5 nights, and they never serviced nor cleaned the room. We understand the island related constraints for business but for the price they are charging many things could be way better or at least improved. On the other hand Exhumas Island is a paradise, plenty of beaches and places to go and explore. We definitively are going back but not to this hotel.

Hotel installations and personal are good. The main lowlights was the cleanning room services, me and my girlfriend stay a whole week and if we dont ask for the cleanning room service they dont provide it. However the worst was the restaurant. Delays of 1:30 hs for a pizza, bad service, missing orders and bad actitude of the people who serve.

The location is great, on the beach and adjacent to other beautiful beaches. The rooms are clean and spacious. My only regret is that they could have been more flexible in case of unforeseen circumstances. We arrived a day late due to flight cancellation and they didn’t give us any credit for the missed night (and charged us the resort fee for that night as well).

We were told it was Beach front accommodations, when booking this vacation, It was NOT we were 1/4 mile off beach up a hill We were very disappointed, asked the staff if we could up grade No because we booked thru Expedia , and manager was shocked when we told her we left.

Hideaways Exuma is a good place to stay. It's on a great beach, looking out at Stocking Island. It's a good central location, close to George Town. There's a restaurant/bar on site, and other choices within walking distance (eg: Fish Fry, which has a bunch of choices). Our unit also had a well-equipped kitchen if you want to save some money on dining out. We were in a separate "cottage" which could almost see the water from the porch. Everything was quite clean. No real negatives, other than things you might expect. The bar/restaurant were somewhat expensive and somewhat slow when it was busy. It would become too repetitive if you ate there every day (so I wouldn't advise that). The parking for our rental car was across the street, and it could be somewhat crowded (chaotic, without any lines showing where to park), but we always found a space.

This is a lovely group of modestly priced little cottages by the bay. Easy kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkeling provided. Plan to eat and drink away from the bar (Splash) because they really water down their drinks. The food there is “ok,” but there’s better offerings within a few minutes drive.

However, they don't make your room, unless you ask for it, and at the time I came back to the hotel was too late to ask for it. The outdoor area is pleasant but requires some maintenance. What a wonderful place to hangout for 4 nights while my son recovered from a double ear infection before we could fly home. The mini villas were cool and comfortable. The pool and breach area are quaint and the water is exceptional. It was nice to have the restaurant Splash onsite but I could also make mini meals in our villa. The staff is helpful and friendly. This is on our list to return on another trip to Exuma.

Very nice. Nothing fancy but very relaxing. The best calm beaches nearby. Not a traditional hotel with daily service, but anything needed..towels, soap, services, just need to ask. On a windy day, their beach was still calm. Splash restaurant has the best conch chowder...nice staff available to help at any time.. the only downside were the sand flies...must bring repellant everywhere.. overall..GREAT PLACE
